Our second visit which says it all really. Only complaint this time is there were not enough sun beds around the pool. Lots of space to put more out but not enough to go around. Guests having to sit or lie on the ground. Not really acceptable for this quality of hotel. Invest in more sun beds please Barcelo.

Large hotel, 5 minutes from beach, 20 minutes from shopping, fabulous promenade in between. Big underground parking (€20 per day and electric charging bays). Big reception with bar and restaurant and outdoor seating. Rooms nice, balcony with table/chairs, comfy bed. Spacious bathroom with good power shower. Overall a nice stay in an absolutely fabulous city.

Enjoyed our stay- 22 Euros for breakfast and 20 Euros for parking daily was too expensive. Otherwise a nice hotel in a good area.

This hotel is walkable for a fit person as it is uphill from San Sebastián. The facilities are good however the pool was closed for maintenance and we had not been informed.

Meget fint hotel med dejlig pool og pæne værelser i et fredeligt kvarter. Ekstraordinær flot og kæmpestor gym som godtnok skulle betales pr besøg. Den var også ud over det sædvanlige på alle måder. Bus direkte til centrum fungerede perfekt (7-10 min) hvis man blev træløst af gåturen (ca 20 min).

Old room, damaged floor, some minor mould on ceiling, buggy light controls. Thin walls - you can hear people in adjacent rooms when they are taking shower, or talking loudly. Gym entry is not included in price - huge mistake by the establishment. Pool & pool area are standard, nothing to write home about. Restaurant is good, but relatively expensive. Ample parking in a garage under the hotel.

Nice room in a modern hotel with a really good jet shower. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Only disappointment was finding the pool costs 20 Euros per day per person. As the pool was one of the reasons we chose this hotel, it was a letdown as not mentioned on any of the booking sites.

Room was very clean and bed was enormous and comfortable. The shower was good, and it was nice to have a balcony although it didn't have a sea view Breakfast choices were good. Outdoor pool was open, although very cold and you could get a drink at a poolside van area, but the snacks advertised were not available which was disappointing as we had to leave pool and go into town for lunch. We had dinner in hotel one evening as had very good reviews, the food was ok but the service was terrible. We asked for a wine menu, was told didn't have one. Ordered drinks which didn't come, then ordered from another waiter,which came just as we were finishing our meal. Not what we expected. They seemed more concerned with a large party that was dining in outdoor covered area than guests in restaurant. Otherwise, a great base for a stay in the area. We parked on street for less than €4 a day and walked in and out of town, although buses stop right outside hotel .

The hotel is relatively new and very nice. It is a nice walk from the hotel to the beach. I had a good dinner at the restaurant, the bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom were very clean. Cannot say anything bad about the hotel. Will definitely go back.

The rooms we had felt dirty around the skirting boards and had cheap laminate flooring which despite the recent refurb, already needed replacing. Getting in and out of the shower/bath proved to be difficult with the toilet situated at the end of the bath.

Fabulous hotel. Very clean. Staff lovely. Parking on site was a bonus. About 20 minutes walk into the old town. Five minutes to the promenade. We ate in the hotel, it was very nice.

Nice clean comfortable hotel. I just found the room a bit cold and the air con couldn't be adjusted to make it warmer. I had to ask for a second duvet which didn't have a duvet cover on, it seemed clean thankfully. The night seemed rather noisy with banging and clunking in hallways which was a bit of a shame. I bought some earplugs and slept well the second night with my second duvet! I find 20euros for a breakfast way too much when there are so many awesome places for breakfast and brunch in San Seb so we didn't eat at the hotel. The room was very spacious and clean. Nice layout. However the shower screen leaked so floor was soaking. I found the price reasonable so I wouldn't say no to staying here again. Voilà, Ive tried to be honest.

It's a nice hotel and the staff were always friendly when we interacted. It's a pleasant walk to get to La Concha and then from there into the old town. A few things made them miss the mark though: the "king" bed was actually 2 twin beds pushed together with separate bedding, the safe in the room never worked (the maintenance couldn't fix it) & it took 3 different remote controls to finally get the TV to work. I just feel a lot of this should've been handled before we got there but, as I said, everyone we interacted with was great.

Location is excellent - short walk to beach and on main bus route to town centre. Nice and quiet . Standout feature is the large pool and area around it - gets sun all day - has a bar that serves great sangria and a great area to relax . 2 points prevented this being a 5 star rating 1. The triple deluxe room that we booked turned out to be a standard double with a sofa bed- not the room shown on the booking site and lacking adequate space for 3 adults . This misreprrsentation should be corrected on the booking site. 2. Pool area didn't open until 10.00am - too late for a nice pre- breakfast swim.

Our Stay With Excellent Beautiful, Very Modern Hotel The front desk was very helpful. You can park your car and take a bus to downtown for just a few euros . One recommendation will be that they should have Coffie in the lobby for people that leave the hotel early

La cama extra no estaba montada, faltaba el colchón,…. Y al día siguiente al comentarlo, en vez de disculpas y proponer algo ( por la diferencia de dormir en dos camas vs 3) , me decían, “pues…ah, no se”. Eso no es buen service, uno pide disculpas y se reembolsa la diferencia ya sea por desayuno, parking,… lo que sea, iniciativa por favor. Además el día anterior un cliente les estaba hablando por teléfono y estaban gesticulando de manera un poco burlona ,…no es el tipo de servicio que uno espera en un hotel así,… El desayuno muy bien, y limpieza muy agradables. El parking no es del hotel , es uno estándar de la calle a 25 euros la noche

Lovely, charming hotel with plenty of parking and a great breakfast buffet. Very clean and the staff were all terrific. I loved that you could walk to the beach and promenade. There were also walkable options for pintxos and dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

Foi uma estadia rápida, pois estávamos indo para Madrid para pegar voo de volta ao Brasil. O hotel era muito por apenas uma noite, mas o atendimento do recepcionista foi terrível, chegando a gritar comigo pelo fato de eu não estar entendendo a função dos dois cartões de estacionamento que me deram. Continuo até hoje sem saber a função deles

Large hotel, 5 minutes from beach, 20 minutes from shopping, fabulous promenade in between. Big underground parking (€20 per day and electric charging bays). Big reception with bar and restaurant and outdoor seating. Rooms nice, balcony with table/chairs, comfy bed. Spacious bathroom with good power shower. Overall a nice stay in an absolutely fabulous city.

Lovely room, clean, spacious and comfortable with a small balcony. The bar and outside area was nice, all the staff were lovely. It's quite far out of town, with just a few restaurants in short walking distance, but a bus stop right outside.

Nice hotel with 20 minute walk along the promenade to the old town which was nice although there is also the option of catching the number 16 bus in and out which stops right outside the hotel. The hotel is in a fairly quiet location although it fronts a road but we did not hear it from our room. The restaurant is very nice although we only used it once. For breakfast there is an excellent choice of food. We really liked the hotel and would stay again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Barceló Costa Vasca. Everything was as one could expect from a high-end hotel chain. We did not get to try its restaurants, but we would anticipate that they were just fine. This facility was well situated in a quiet area, yet within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and the beach.

Location is excellent - short walk to beach and on main bus route to town centre. Nice and quiet . Standout feature is the large pool and area around it - gets sun all day - has a bar that serves great sangria and a great area to relax . 2 points prevented this being a 5 star rating 1. The triple deluxe room that we booked turned out to be a standard double with a sofa bed- not the room shown on the booking site and lacking adequate space for 3 adults . This misreprrsentation should be corrected on the booking site. 2. Pool area didn't open until 10.00am - too late for a nice pre- breakfast swim.

Fabulous hotel. Very clean. Staff lovely. Parking on site was a bonus. About 20 minutes walk into the old town. Five minutes to the promenade. We ate in the hotel, it was very nice.

Everything was very good. Only one complaint was the Veggie option in the restaurant. There was a Vegan burger only which tasted of chicken and vegan bacon. My wife doesn’t like meat, and when asked for a salad they could not do this. Very poor

Negatives: no free access to pool or spa facilities despite being advertised. A big disappointment. The closure of the outdoor pool was buried in the small print. Very strange bathroom and wardrobe divider that was operated via a sliding door which made for a fairly dangerous experience with a family of 4. NO MIRROR in the room - I had to do my hair and makeup blind or in the reflection of the kettle when the bathroom was in use. Pork in everything and even when we asked to have it removed, it snuck into the burgers, omelette etc.. Coffee is not a strong point - it could be better! Positives: the breakfast is great - lots of selection but also not too much to drive us to obesity! The dining area was clean and the staff were polite and friendly. There was no quibbling about the pork issue which is always helpful in making the experience a good one. We got lots of help when booking our bus to Bilbao airport. The room was spacious and we were provided with bottled water every day bar one. The staff were also very prompt in providing us with additional towels etc so no long waits. Taxis were also arranged quickly. Overall - owing to the way in which our issues were dealt with, this was an enjoyable stay. Taxis are around €10 to the old town and about a 30-45min walk. Would recommend going to the Funicular!

Outdoor pool was open, although very cold and you could get a drink at a poolside van area, but the snacks advertised were not available which was disappointing as we had to leave pool and go into town for lunch. We had dinner in hotel one evening as had very good reviews, the food was ok but the service was terrible. We asked for a wine menu, was told didn't have one. Ordered drinks which didn't come, then ordered from another waiter,which came just as we were finishing our meal. Not what we expected.
