Stayed here due to the name recognition that Hard Rock has but this really didn't live up to some of the expectations after staying at Hard Rock Ibiza a few weeks prior to this stay. Room was clean enough but some of the nooks beside the bed contained lots of hair & dust. I have short hair so was finding longer hairs in the bathroom (from cleaning staff) which should be taken care of. At the pool and we were informed you need to buy a bed for 200€ and they 'gift' you a bottle of spirits of your choice or champagne which was a bit of a joke. At all other Hard Rock properties we've visited, there is a minimum spend for these beds and we're happy to do that, but some days you don't feel like getting drunk by 1pm on a bottle of vodka + have lunch and waters etc. Service at the pool was lackluster at best despite it being so beautiful out there. With so many choices in the area, if you're going to be paying top dollar, we would consider other properites before coming back to this one.

Hotel and room were nice and clean. Staff was exceptional. However, it’s worth noting classic rooms face a very busy main road and you can hear faint traffic noise in the room, making the balcony unusable unless you don’t mind the traffic. We also tried to emailed the hotel about parking 4 times beforehand but they did not response to any of the emails. Luckily it turned out there’s free parking on all the streets near the hotel.

Great staff, very welcoming and helpful. Had a very good stay at this hotel. The only issue was the electric car charging. If it doesn’t work for a long time they should remove this option. Otherwise, great hotel with great location and great breakfast buffet

Lovely hotel, breakfast was unbelievable, service on the whole was good. The main bar was a great spot for evening drinks with the live music, drinks are reasonably priced. However, being outside of the summer season the pool bar was closed which was inconvenient when the wanting to order food and drinks. The spa is small and only available at a charge, quite surprising for such a large hotel. The tea/coffee in the room was not replenished, we were told we needed to pay for more so I’d recommend others walk across the road to the shop and buy some there. 3 euros for a teabag was outrageous.

Decent hotel. There is the “paid” part of the pool where it’s €200 to sit on the seats. But the free area is just as good. Loved the DJ by the pool, atmosphere was super. Breakfast was superb. Would go back.

I would definitely stay again. Highly recommended. Parking easy and free. Breakfast buffet is good. We also ate the dinner buffet. 15 min walk to puerto Banús. 4 min in Taxi for 5 euros. The lobby is great. The room is nice with balcony. The staff are superb.

Long time to check in, the room was badly cleaned first day... A lot of noise in the hallway in the night so only slept 3 hours this night. Ladies running around, knocking several times on my door. Didn't feel safe. Others where out screaming at each other... Great to leave the hotel so I can get some sleep... Not a nice stay this time and seriously planning to change hotel for next time we visit. I think this is my fourth time I stay with you only this fall, but this was not good at all

Hotel very clean, super helpful and friendly staff. Location is good, 10 mins walk from beach and 15 mins to marina. Food was excellent, we ate both breakfast and lunches from pool bar. Nice atmosphere and music too.

The room was tired, needs updating. The shower had flies in it coming from the drain in the floor. I ordered a birthday cake a few days before travelling, the order was confirmed via email, never got the birthday cake. Also ordered room service, the order stayed on processing for hours. A few staff were extremely helpful and friendly (the lady who took our room number before breakfast, the spa ladies and one of the pool barman) we found the rest of the staff quite rude and abrupt. Also a constant awful stench when entering the lobby, apparently a drainage problem !! All in all I really do think this hard rock hotel in Marbella has had its day and needs a refurb, just living off its name at present, certainly not worth the money at present.

Friendly and accommodating staff. They were all very responsive to any questions and willing to help. I read other reviews regarding the credit card hold. While they do retain a credit card during your stay to cover any incidentals, ours was released as soon as we checked out. Honestly, I don't understand how the hold is a shock to anyone or why anyone would think they could pay in cash for a hotel room. The room was spacious (we had the Gold suite) and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was impressive and the food was fresh.

Really nice stay at the hotel. Loved the vibe and the staff were all really friendly. The pool area was lovely but it was a shame that the rooftop pool was closed as we would have loved to see there as well. My only issue was there wasn’t any aircon in the room so it was very uncomfortable in the evenings.

Initially on arrival to say that we were disappointed was an understatement! We had booked a Gold suite via Expedia. According to the their website the suite should have included a separate livingroom, pool view with a large balcony. Instead the room we were allocated was extremely dark, had half a balcony, a carpark view and no separate living space. When this was raised with reception I was advised that they were in dispute with booking agencies in regards to the room images displayed. They went on to say that they were not representative of all the gold rooms available. When I asked to be moved to another room I was advised that they were all sold out and that one may become available the following day which meant we would have to re-pack and move again. We were not offered any compensation for this and the attitude from staff lacked any consideration for our situation. We were then moved rooms the next day and the difference in quality was very stark. We were only later contacted by the vip team via letter when I had left a negative review on Expedia. Upon speaking to them they appeared disinterested and unaware of our issues. Staff again admitted that not all gold rooms were of the same standard which in my view was unacceptable when you are paying a premium. This would suggest that either the booking agency or Hard Rock as a company are advertising false images. This ruined what should have been a good experience for us.

The room was very hot. There was no way to control the temperature in the room. When we asked the desk about it, they confirmed that the hotel was old and there was only central air which was controlled by the hotel. We tried opening the door to cool the room, but it is on a busy highway and was very loud. The Buffett dinner was expensive, not good, and did not include any drinks. $35 for dinner. $30 for breakfast. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, especially the concierge.

Overall the hotel was great, 4 minutes in a taxi to the marina (only 5 euros) and breakfast offered a wide range of food in abundance. We did experience issues with the wristbands not working preventing access to the room, however we requested to move rooms and this was arranged speedily Unfortunately this happened again following the move, the wristbands appeared to fail following the cleaner attending. We reported this again and we’re given fresh wristbands and complimentary drinks. Staff were responsive and attentive so our overall experience was good and I would stay here again.

The room service was not available and the Sauna was broken in the Spa so not usable. In the Lobby Bar, the book food & drink QR was also not working. And the only restaurant offering food was a buffett style option. My Bedroom on entry smelt stale so i had to open the window. On a positive note the receptionist on arrival, Rachel was lovely & extremely helpful.

A impactful, wow factor hotel, with a live band setting up in the lobby as we arrived. Sadly disappointing check-in: slow service, no arrival acknowledgment, no double bed available (despite the hotel clearly not being at capacity and despite having checked in online 2 days earlier). Vouchers offered for a free drink with a spend of €30 in the on-site restaurant when dinner was included in our Half Board rate, the same for an off site restaurant, plus a glass of cava each from the main bar which we saved for departure. Recommended not to use the beach access pathway in the evening - a welcome warning as the subway was intimidating enough in daylight! Hotel was clean & tidy & smelled delightful in the accommodation corridors, although the fishy aroma from dinner on Sunday evening seemed to linger downstairs somewhat into Monday. Disappointed to only see 2 brief live acts during our stay (Saturday night until afternoon) Deluxe bedroom was fine. Nice. Pool view with balcony which would have been a great perk if there had been anything happening around the pool on the stage or terrace or DJ dome. TV was limited - eventually found Film4 in English - HR music channels were not interactive, playlists not always playing smoothly or sync’d with the ‘video’ (single covers to ID track playing). No access to Netflix:Prime:apple - chrome cast didn’t work. Food in main restaurant was generally good, fresh & plentiful.

When we checked in to our room, I tried calling reception and was on hold for 15 mins with no answer so had to physically head downstairs (which was a trek considering where our suite was). There was a weird loud vibration noise in the room every 20 mins or so which would sometimes wake me up at night. The shower temperature and pressure kept changing whilst it was on and the handwash bottle was broken. The upstairs poolside service was really slow and not because of the staff who were lovely, but because the hotel only had two staff working there. I also didn’t get any perks of being a Hotels.com gold member. The food was nice and the spa massage was relaxing. The staff were also friendly (just too busy). The location is also great, with nice restaurants in walking distance and a mini market opposite. Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again, it did not live up to the Hard Rock name and there are nicer alternatives.

Great looking hotel we loved it staff were very friendly and helpful. Fran on front desk welcomed us and went through everything with us. Room was great with a small balcony. Bathroom had a shower and was gorgeous. Coffee machine in the room steamer for clothes. Large tv on wall. Room cleaned each day. Great big bar in the lobby with plenty of seating in and outdoors. Drinks were expensive enough. Breakfast was fantastic plenty of variety and replenished often. Lots of seating and there’s an egg/omelette station. A lady there cooking non stop. The main pool was closed on the first day but was filled up and opened the rest of our stay. There is another infinity pool on level one with subbed there too. We went there the second day but we were moved down to the main pool, which was ok with us. The music at the pool was very good. Service for drinks and food were available at the pool. There’s a small supermarket across the road. There is a walkway/tunnel to get across a very busy road outside the hotel. This leads to the beach and puerto banus marina for bars restaurants and shopping. We loved our time here.

October stay - we were blessed with brilliant weather. Pool area was lovely - plenty sunbeds - water maybe a wee bit cold but refreshing! Food in all restaurants was nice and the staff were lovely. Cocktails expensive but v nice.

Breakfast really isn’t worth having, the quality is terrible, one ate once in 5 nights, the hotel really should be an adults only as some sights and clients are not appropriate for under 18 viewing and sadly despite advertising air conditioning, we have no control so despite complaining rooms are too hot on an evening, even in January so you need the patio doors open, then it’s too noisy with toad noise or loud party people, sadly we had a crazy person next door to us screaming down the phone until 3.30 am then blasting and singing along to very loud music until 4.15 am, after 3 nights of pain we asked for a refund on last 2 nights which was declined so forced to stay in hotel, positive - staff were brilliant, room switched so last 2 nights just the heat issue - will definately not return or recommend, shame really as ambiance at reception and pool area is lovely

Loved the pool area, especially Sun Society pool. Balinese beds were great. Pool was cool but refreshing. Food at breakfast and dinner on half board was excellent. Getting drinks or food at the pool bars was the only negative we experienced. Staff were lovely and did their best but there was not enough for demand at the busy times of lunch and pre- dinner. As such this meant long wait times. We had lunch once in the hotel at the start of our stay but did not enjoy due to the poor quality of the food and high price. €20 for nachos that were inedible due to being drowned in sauce.

For the high prices, it’s an okay hotel. The rooms are decent, depending where your room is, you will have to walk a long distance to get to it from the elevator since they only have one. The gym wasn’t great, the breakfast buffet food was not good, the staff was not attentive, felt like an average hotel.

Great property but the breakfast buffet needs improvement. From the poor quality coffee to the bacon it’s below what a property like this should offer. Beware of the insane drinks prices and buy from the bottle shop next door and enjoy pool side at a fraction of the price.
