Super 8 by Wyndham Grand Junction Colorado

The carpets were dirty, the elevator didn’t work, the ac didn’t work in one of the rooms. It was 100 degrees outside!

The pool was not currently in working order which was disappointing. Breakfast options were very limited and wait for some was long.

The place was horribly maintained. Out of service elevator so had to walk to third floor every trip. Carpet looked like it needed to be replaced 20 years ago. Just a real dump of a hotel, but it was the cheapest on the block.

This property is a scam. They tell you it is good on the reviews and it is not taken care of at all. The Coke machine has been broken who knows how long, the pool has been closed for over a year; no phones or alarm clocks in the rooms, poorly maintained plumbing, again, no swimming pool when the review shows pictures of a nice pool. I just felt taken advantage of, and it was not worth the price charged and paid, it wasn't worth 50 bucks a day IT IS A SCAM OF A PROPERTY.

Good place to stay when traveling, clean, quiet a breakfast was out ontime, only con is the pool is outside at the back of the parking lot, would have been nice to be inside.

We were informed that there had been a fire on the laundry room earlier in May and there was no ice nor laundry service. We were also told there was a microwave and refrain our room (114) which there was not. A towel was dirty in the stack of unused towels. The air conditioner was difficult to adjust. The advertised swimming pool was not available to use. The staff was very friendly but we were dismay in the hotel overall.

Elevator is out of service

It was okay the place was older, and looked it. If they had new carpet, that would of helped a lot to make it look cleaner. The elevator was broken, dispenser for laundry soap was broken. Pop machine was broken. Did not have much to choose from for breakfast.

Elevator was out of service. Staff did carry my heavy bags to the third floor. It was 99 degrees when I checked in and so was my room. I cranked on the AC, left to get dinner and when I came back the room was luke warm. Room temp wasn't comfortable until well after midnight. The carpet in the entire property is worn down with looks like it's from 1984. Breakfast options were minimal with no hot food unles you made your own waffle. I'd pass on this place when I come back to Grand Junction .

The front desk guy was great, our room was clean and there were plenty of breakfast options. The pool was on the farther end of the parking lot and there are two houses almost connected right to it which felt a little weird but we were not bothered by it. Over all out stay was nice and convenient

It was the worst motel we have ever stayed at in 26 states so far! It was dirty, stinky, stained and very old and run down

So disappointed. It was barely clean but that was all. Carpets very dirty, hairs in tub but the worst was the condition. Doors had huge gaps all around, around tub the walls were breaking down due to water damage, paint bubbling with mold spots on walls and ceiling. Shower curtain had big holes in them. Bedding was so thin as to be almost nonexistent. Elevator was not working, so had to climb stairs late at night and was not fixed during stay. Stayed three nights due to necessity however i would not stay there again. If you have to stay the price was decent but glad i only had to sleep and shower in rooms.

We had 2 Rooms and they both were disgusting. Mold in bathrooms, everytime you flushed the toilet water came out onto the floor from the toilet, carpets were disgustingly dirty, bathroom door had a hole punched out of it. One bathroom tub sunk in the middle as if the floor was damaged and the water would not drain out of the tub. Needs lots of TLC and maintenance.

There was blood on the walls and stains on the chairs. The smell was awful.

The hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and mildew. The carpet and walls were filthy, and 3 of our light fixtures didn't work. We were given the option to switch rooms, but the substitute room smelled so badly of dog that we opted to stay in our reserved space. If there are not designate pet or smoking rooms, then I don't know how they expect to keep bookings. If there had been any other available hotels I would have switched reservations.

Bathroom above leaks into the unit below. Property knows this and still rents the unit. Mold in the ceiling - Drywall is clearly damaged and has been for some time

I have stayed in much nicer, cleaner Super 8s. The front area looked very neat and clean. When you went into the hall to the rooms the carpet was very dirty. We had two rooms and the carpet in each room was very dirty. Definitely did not want to walk on it with bare feet. One of the two rooms smelled very bad. My sister bought an air freshener to put in there. The breakfast I have had at other S8 hotels have been so much better. They were helpful when our shower faucet broke. They came right away to fix it. I was a bit disappointed over all.

The bed was comfortable and clean as we're the room

Affordable option for a single night in town. There is definitely some age showing, carpet needing replaced for instance. And limited power outlets and no USB ports on the 30 year old alarm clock.

A/C super noise and not cooling.

Staff was friendly, no problems. Room was *very* dated and run down. There’s not a single USB port in the place. Even regular plugs, the night stand light was plugged into an old two-prong extension cord. There was one set of 6 outlets, on one of those surge suppressors that mount directly to the plug on the wall. The decor is old, wallpaper falling off walls, bathroom fan falling out of the ceiling, mold on ceiling above shower. (See pics)

The price was ok and location was convenient, however the property could use some TLC. For example, the bathroom had holes in the wall that were not patched up.

Compared to what Hilton & Marriott charge in this area, this was a good value for a single night while traveling. You need to set your expectations accordingly. If your standard is Hampton Inn or the Residence Inn, you will be disappointed and should just spend the extra $100 rather than holding this Super 8 to that standard. Staff seems to be doing their job on the day to day things, but the property is pretty dated. The rooms feel more like a older motel than a hotel with interior doors. Overall cleaning of those things staff handles was more than acceptable, but you can tell that local management has not had the hallway carpets cleaned in a long time with many large visible soiled areas and hallways had a bit of a bad odor. Our room (#344) smelled a bit musty, but it didn't smell dirty or moldy. The window AC unit blew good & cold. It was a bit loud, but that's it's normal operating noise - it was functioning properly. The bed was firm, but still comfy for sleeping and the mattress seemed to be in good shape. No bad odors from the bed or bedding. Sink and bathtub were clean and free of any old nasty caulking. Breakfast was sufficient, but just the basics of a continental offering. The waffle maker worked, they had name brand yogurt, and the bananas & apples were in good shape.

First room hole in wall in bathroom! Moved us to better room! Carpet old! Good hot water! Bed uncomfortable! Breakfast coffe juice cereal waffle yogurt few pastries! Not bad!

If you just need to only sleep this might be ok. The AC/Heater is really loud. One of the lights next to the bed did not work, had to move a light bulb to another light. Outlets don't exist, had to plug my phone into the outlet by the bathroom sink. Room didn't have a TV remote. Elevator was broken. Moved a cabnit to plug my light in and tons of trash under and behind it. Shower rod was falling out of the wall so was scared to even move it.

The room was very run down. The air conditioner was noisy and the nob to control the temperature was on the floor and I had to put it back on. The bathtub faucet leaked constantly. The whole place needs an upgrade!

The bed was comfortable. The room was on the West side of the building & the air conditioner struggled to keep the room cool.

When I checked in around 4:00 pm, the women at the front desk was most rude.

We were pleased with our stay. The staff was very friendly.

As grandparents we booked a room for our grandson who had been traveling for hours and needed to rest. When he went to check in the desk clerk refused to give him a room because she wanted a $150.00 deposit. He didn't have $150.00. That was why we were paying for his stay. I called her and told her the room was paid for through Hotels.com She was rude to my grandson and she was rude to me! She still refused to allow him to stay. At that point I made a reservation for another hotel online through Hotels.com at the Doubletree. I specifically told her that I best not be charged.

I needed a clean safe place and this was perfect and inexpensive: great staff

Staff was not very friendly and the guy at the counter had body odor. They say friendly on the marquee but that is not true. I asked for the tv to be turned on in the breakfast area and was handed the remote without a word.

The gentleman that did the check in was rude and didn't give me information

The individual that checked me in, Vishal, was very kind and courteous. Later I had a problem with my television and they sent someone to the room immediately to try to correct the problem. Unfortunately, the TV wouldn't cooperate so that was a disappointment, however, overall the area, staff, and vibe was spot on.

Convenience from exiting the interstate, close to gas stations and fast food establishments

Staff was very helpful. Pool was very nice. Breakfast was good. There isn’t any HDMI plug ins, so make sure you have adapters. No outlets close to the bed. Shower pressure was light. The area around it has everything you need, but there is a fair amount of homeless in the area. Overall, a good value.

Nice easy to access location!!

Standard hotel but it was clean, quiet and close to the interstate. Nice area with restaurants and little car traffic.

So this property is in a great location, easy access to the interstate and lots of dining and amenities close by. It is aging and it shows, but my keycard worked every time, the bedding and towels were clean and fresh, the AC unit blew cold, and for the price this is a solid option for solo travel or maybe a couple. I’d say no to family staying if given the choice.

The location is very convenient, but the property is not new.

This hotel is perfect just for a one night. Stay that I needed. Convenient to park and plenty places to eat around the area.

Just off the highway very convenient.

Lots of homeless in the parking lot. Felt unsafe parking.

Breakfast needs more protein choices. Carpet is shabby. But every else was excellent from the staff to the space in the room. Beds are comfortable. Definitely a good place to stay on a roadtrip.

The hotel staff was nice, check in easy. If youre looking for a clean bed, and hot shower, this hotel checked the boxes. It is easy access on and off the highway. It is old and in need of updates. Breakfast had very few choices, but for a stop and go it was perfectly fine.

Nothing stood out but it wasn’t terrible. Broken drawers, sure but we stayed the one night while traveling. Just needed to sleep. Clean sheets, good water pressure, quiet property - it worked for us. Breakfast was meh. General continental — waffles were tasteless, orange juice was bad, apple juice was nonexistent and coffee was gloopy and burnt. We paid more to stay at a place with “free” breakfast and it wasn’t super edible. Honestly, we’re not super picky and can make anything work that why we chose this facility but probably will just pay the lower cost and go somewhere else just to sleep. Three stars because of the breakfast otherwise it’d be four. Nothing else to write home about.

The lobby was spacious and the breakfast in the morning was a good, and had options!

The facilities were clean and safe. The age of the facility is apparent in smaller details, but not bad overall. Our family of 6 stayed in a Studio Suite, and it was great! The complimentary breakfast was a bit spartan, but good.

Property needs some upgrades. Carpets were worn and stained but it was very obvious that they were trying very hard with what they have. Breakfast was very good and all areas without carpet was very clean. Bathroom needs updated but was clean.
