The hotel is right on the beach and in a great location to take advantage of many aspects of Koh Tao. The facilities like the restaurant and pool are great. The staff were all very friendly and obliging. A special shout out to the young man who looked after the pool bar during our stay; he was an absolute delight.

Hyggelig resort kun 3 min gang avstand fra hurtigbåt forbindelser, og ca 5 min å gå til Sairee stranden og alle andre fasiliteter. Svært hyggelig personell som hjelper til med alt. De stiller også med egen pick up service når båt fra Samui /andre steder anløper kai, Montra resort har et fantastisk flott bassengområde, men det foregår mye dykkerkurs i samme basseng. Stranden ligger kun 10-15 m fra bassenget. Rommet vi hadde i første etg var stort med aircondition. Sengen var STOR men alt for hard. Frokost var meget bra og med flott utsikt.

This is a reasonably nice hotel in a good beach side location with a nice swimming pool and has a sufficient number of sun loungers. We had a very comfortable superior room which was huge, and it had the biggest bed we’ve ever seen! It sounds like some guests have had trouble with the air conditioning but ours worked perfectly, The breakfast location looking over the beach was beautiful, the breakfast itself was just ok, nothing to rave about. Some other reviews have said the staff were not that friendly but we thought that they were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful.😀 We would agree with other reviews that the hotel is looking very dated/tired and could benefit from some renovations. The price paid verses the hotel condition is a little expensive. It is a very easy to walk to the ferry pier, cafes, restaurants, and Sairee Beach We really enjoyed Pranee’s Kitchen restaurant which is a 2 min walk from the hotel. It has excellent food at very good prices, we saw many other hotel guest there too. 😀 The hotel had someone waiting at the pier to provide a free shuttle to the hotel, this doesn't appaer to be mentioned anywhere when booking. We would recommend staying here.😀

Pool var i dårlig tilstand og trænger virkelig til at blive renoveret. Vi måtte flytte værelse 3 gange før vi fik et værelse med en nyere Air Condition Unit som virkede. Og der var mange andre par end os der også klagede over manglende Air Condition. Generelt trænger hotellet til en gennemgående renovation og få rettet op på fejl og mangler. Kæmpe ros til de ansatte nede ved poolen. De var rigtig søde og var gode til at lege med vores søn. Ellers vil jeg ikke anbefale dette hotel for børnefamilier. Ingen børnepool eller legerum. Deres nye restaurant skal have stor ros for deres mad og drinks. Personalet ved morgenmads buffeten var fraværende og uengagerede, og der var ikke meget hjælp at få når man havde brug for en børnestole etc. De sad for det meste på deres telefoner og kiggede sociale medier. Ikke valuta for pengene

Mein Mann und ich waren insgesamt 4 Nächte in diesem Resort. Im Großen und Ganzem ist die Unterkunft okay. Die Lage ist perfekt, Geschäfte und Restaurants sind 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Direkt am Strand. Tagsüber jedoch keine liegen bzw. 2/3 am Strand die natürlich immer besetzt sind. Unteranderem waren wir etwas von der „Einrichtung“ bzw. dem Zustand des Zimmers enttäuscht. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit einem tollen Ausblick (Balkon) jedoch hat es im Zimmer sehr nach Feuchtigkeit und „Schimmel“, Kanalisation gerochen. Schlimm war es abends wenn man die Klima angemacht hatte. Wir sind zwar nicht viel auf Zimmer aber abends/ oder auch zum schlafen war es sehr unangenehm. Dazu ist die Klima nur an der wand zu bedienen ohne Stick. Frühstück war ganz in Ordnung, genug Auswahl. Und super Aussicht ! Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Unser alter: 31 und 42. Sind sehr viel unterwegs und haben keine hohen Ansprüche. Jemand der Luxus erwartet ist hier aber falsch.

Had a lovely stay at Koh Tao Montra Resort. Always hard to tell what a property will actually be like when booking online, but we were focused on a good pool and decent sized rooms as we were travelling with Grandma and teens. Pool was nice and big and clean. Rooms were clean and very large. Property was very quiet and peaceful. We had an issue with the ceiling leaking when the A/C was on. They came and did a quick fix but it persisted. We just caught the water with a bucket and left it alone as maintenance didn't seem to worried about it. The location is on Mae Haad beach but is pretty close to Sairee beach (15 min walk). The bustling area of Mae Haad is only a 3-5 min walk from the hotel and there are lots of restaurants, 7-eleven, shops, etc. Would stay at Koh Tao Montra again.

Great location, close to the port, so walking there doesn’t require taxis. Bedrooms were massive with huge beds. Bathroom however was tired and in need of upgrade. Pool area decent although the pool was dirty and cloudy. Restaurant severed a great selection breakfast and the view from the terrance of the beach and sunset was 10/10. Overall average. Nicer hotels on he island for less money in our opinion.

The hotel is is a lovely quiet part of Koh Tao but walkable distance to a range of shops, restaurants and bars.We saw fabulous sunsets and completed a wonderful intro diving course based at the hotel's dive centre before setting off on 2 afternoon dives. Great service from front office! Asked for groundfloor in booking online and got a quick answer and confirmation on that. Also very friendly and helpful on site. The rooms are so big and nice, great for family! Good waterpressure and hot water in sink. The restaurant could be more on there toes, a lot of food on the menu not awalible and took a really long time to get the food! (didn't try the breakfast or lunch buffé) Overall a really nice place and god value for the money!

La chambre, la piscine, le matelas, le service, tout est magnifique Mais si vous venez dans le but de vous reposer cest perdu d'avance, n'espérez pas dormir au delà de 9h du matin. Le coq qui chante dès 6h Et ensuite les murs sont comme des feuilles de papiers, on entend chaque passage, chaque personne qui parle, chaque porte qui se ferme ainsi que les bebes qui pleurent. Et encore cette chambre n'est pas située a un endroit de passage, je n'imagine même pas ceux avec l'accès direct a la piscine ... c'est quand meme un gros point négatif pour nous car le but était de se reposer un maximum, mon conjoint ayant des problèmes de sommeil.

Great location, close to the port, so walking there doesn’t require taxis. Bedrooms were massive with huge beds. Bathroom however was tired and in need of upgrade. Pool area decent although the pool was dirty and cloudy. Restaurant severed a great selection breakfast and the view from the terrance of the beach and sunset was 10/10. Overall average. Nicer hotels on he island for less money in our opinion.

I booked and paid for an upgraded room with comfort mattresses Aircondition didn’t work in first room. Got another room. A/c didn’t work again. They fixed it for the 3 day out of my 4 days. The bed in the new room was like lying on springs. Also it was too short for me, as I am almost 2 meteres, but the bed was in a frame with a High end. The electricity was incredible unstable. Could turn off several times in an hour. I asked for a discount, but they continued to say they were talking to the manager and would revert. They didn’t! This visit put a big damp on my Koh Tao experience. I would look for a different hotel…

The Montra was perfect for what we needed (4 couples and a baby). We really liked our room - it was well equipped, (came with a great travel cot and fridge for bottles) really spacious, toddler friendly (nothing down low for them to break or wires for them to pull), air conditioned, got nicely dark to sleep in and the bed was unforgettably comfortable and huge! They also gave us a room close to the restaurant which was super handy. The restaurant had great sea views and does a great breakfast. Though I’d recommend eating out for lunch and dinner. We loved the pool and swim up bar and sundowner drinks on the beach. The staff were really friendly and wonderful with our baby. They also arranged taxi’s for short trips and half days which was super useful. The reception area was a really calm and useful meeting spot for our group. The location was absolutely spot on, super walkable to cafes, restaurants, shops, massages, the pier. Though it’s not the fanciest, from what we saw of other places in the area the Montra was the only place that could deliver all of the above things and we really enjoyed our stay there.

The hotel is right on the beach and in a great location to take advantage of many aspects of Koh Tao. The facilities like the restaurant and pool are great. The staff were all very friendly and obliging. A special shout out to the young man who looked after the pool bar during our stay; he was an absolute delight.

Very Bad refund policy. We where not happy at all with the stay. We didnt want to stay in the room. Please change aircon System it is very unhealthy. Wet blankets from the aircon and damp, moldy smell. After hotel was booked out we had to stay another Night in the smell before hotel Had New room for us. Meanwhile we found another hotel and moved to there. We gave Keys and breakfast Coupons back but didnt got anything for remaining 6 nights. 410 eur went down the drain and we had 3 sleepless nights.

This is a reasonably nice hotel in a good beach side location with a nice swimming pool and has a sufficient number of sun loungers. We had a very comfortable superior room which was huge, and it had the biggest bed we’ve ever seen! It sounds like some guests have had trouble with the air conditioning but ours worked perfectly, The breakfast location looking over the beach was beautiful, the breakfast itself was just ok, nothing to rave about. Some other reviews have said the staff were not that friendly but we thought that they were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful.😀 We would agree with other reviews that the hotel is looking very dated/tired and could benefit from some renovations. The price paid verses the hotel condition is a little expensive. It is a very easy to walk to the ferry pier, cafes, restaurants, and Sairee Beach We really enjoyed Pranee’s Kitchen restaurant which is a 2 min walk from the hotel. It has excellent food at very good prices, we saw many other hotel guest there too. 😀 The hotel had someone waiting at the pier to provide a free shuttle to the hotel, this doesn't appaer to be mentioned anywhere when booking. We would recommend staying here.😀

Pool var i dårlig tilstand og trænger virkelig til at blive renoveret. Vi måtte flytte værelse 3 gange før vi fik et værelse med en nyere Air Condition Unit som virkede. Og der var mange andre par end os der også klagede over manglende Air Condition. Generelt trænger hotellet til en gennemgående renovation og få rettet op på fejl og mangler. Kæmpe ros til de ansatte nede ved poolen. De var rigtig søde og var gode til at lege med vores søn. Ellers vil jeg ikke anbefale dette hotel for børnefamilier. Ingen børnepool eller legerum. Deres nye restaurant skal have stor ros for deres mad og drinks. Personalet ved morgenmads buffeten var fraværende og uengagerede, og der var ikke meget hjælp at få når man havde brug for en børnestole etc. De sad for det meste på deres telefoner og kiggede sociale medier. Ikke valuta for pengene

Sehr schönes, ruhiges Hotel. Wir waren 3 Nächte dort und würden wieder kommen. Das Hotel ist vom Pier zu Fuß in ca. 7 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und hatte alles was man brauchte. Wir hatten das Frühstück dazugebucht, auch das war besser als gedacht! Der Pool war sehr groß, leider waren immer viele Blüten im Wasser, aber dafür hatte man tagsüber Schatten! Man kann nicht alles haben. Am Abend sind wir immer zum Sairee Beach gelaufen (ca. 10 Minuten), auch das war von der Lage sehr schön!

The room was great. Very clean and spacious. There's not much of a beach but the view was pretty. The pool is nice and for lunch time there was one particular friendly, flamboyant young man tending the pool bar. The dinner in the restaurant was mediocre. Very expensive for what it was. Trying to be chic but didn't know what they were doing. However, the breakfast was excellent and the staff was fantastic. The lady who runs breakfast and lunch there really knows what she is doing.

This is a reasonably nice hotel in a good beach side location with a nice swimming pool and has a sufficient number of sun loungers. We had a very comfortable superior room which was huge, and it had the biggest bed we’ve ever seen! It sounds like some guests have had trouble with the air conditioning but ours worked perfectly, The breakfast location looking over the beach was beautiful, the breakfast itself was just ok, nothing to rave about. Some other reviews have said the staff were not that friendly but we thought that they were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful.😀 We would agree with other reviews that the hotel is looking very dated/tired and could benefit from some renovations. The price paid verses the hotel condition is a little expensive. It is a very easy to walk to the ferry pier, cafes, restaurants, and Sairee Beach We really enjoyed Pranee’s Kitchen restaurant which is a 2 min walk from the hotel. It has excellent food at very good prices, we saw many other hotel guest there too. 😀 The hotel had someone waiting at the pier to provide a free shuttle to the hotel, this doesn't appaer to be mentioned anywhere when booking. We would recommend staying here.😀

Found bugs in our room around 8 pm and 11 pm. Looked like moths and then sugar ants and appeared to be coming through a crack in the wall onto the desk (no food was left out). By the time we ensured that all our stuff was bug free and we had managed to deal with all the ones we saw it was after midnight. Upon first glance the room looked nice but sound found that a lot was in a state of disrepair, the light in the shower was out, the floorboards were coming off the wall, the blinds didn't fully close in some spots.

Room is completely outdated and absolutely stinks of mould when you walk in, we were a group of 6 and all got bitten like mad especially at night in bed. Every single one of us woke up with sore throats and coughing probably due to the mould, pillows stunk of it. The pool is absolutely disgusting and doesn’t look like it gets cleaned, tiles are all cracked and sunbeds are diagusting.
