I was upgraded from a Comfort to a Superior room. These are spacious, modern rooms with all mod cons, including a large smart television and an espresso machine. Because of a national COVID lockdown, services were limited but staff did their best to accommodate. Beds are very comfortable. The only thing to note is the hotel's location: in a business park with no direct access to shops or other services; however, there are public transit stops close by and both Leusden and the more interesting town of Amersfoort are close by. Very good value for money due to the upgrade, but even without that recommended for a stay that involves Central Netherlands.

I booked for 2 nights and the room given was really great, spacious with balcony. Because I liked it so much, I booked for 2 more nights within the same hotel, the room I booked was more expensive and supposed to be a superior room but upon changing room, I found cob webs, dust, it was a very old room, no A/C and unfurnished. The entire room made me so depressed that I didn’t wanna stay further. I called the reception to ask if I can change room, they told me they are fully booked, I asked if I can downgrade the room the same type of room I stayed for first 2 nights, they said cannot. The receptionist was quite rude, I asked for a refund they didn’t give. This was not the kind of service I was expecting. Such old rooms, especially if it was more expensive than ordinary rooms, should even better maintained. The photos were absolutely misleading. In the end, I had to ask Expedia to help with the refund process.

Anders dan ik van van der Valk gewend ben. De peuken lagen op balkon van de vorige gasten en in de kamer kwam ik een aantal keren spinnenwebben tegen. Niet zo schoon als het hoort te zijn voor deze prijs. Ouder hotel, dus kamers niet meer zo netjes helaas.

Leuke mensen bij ontvangst. Ruime kamer en goed bed. Balkon was niet privé en daardoor kan je de deur niet open laten staan. Geen raam voor frisse lucht. Ook badkamer was beetje “smut zig” ( afgebladderde verf radiator, schimmel randje douche, geen heldere wc pot) Bed leek alsof er op een plek iemand opgezeten had. Het was allemaal net niet strak zeg maar.

Het hotel/kamer is van alle gemakken voorzien. Bij binnenkomst in de kamer, rook deze een beetje muf, maar nadat de deur van het balkon een half uur uad open gestaan, was de geur verdwenen.

I was upgraded from a Comfort to a Superior room. These are spacious, modern rooms with all mod cons, including a large smart television and an espresso machine. Because of a national COVID lockdown, services were limited but staff did their best to accommodate. Beds are very comfortable. The only thing to note is the hotel's location: in a business park with no direct access to shops or other services; however, there are public transit stops close by and both Leusden and the more interesting town of Amersfoort are close by. Very good value for money due to the upgrade, but even without that recommended for a stay that involves Central Netherlands.

I have stayed at this hotel for the last 20 years and its has always been very reasonably price if you ever wanted breakfast in the morning. However, breakfast has now become extremely expensive as they are charging €19.50 per person!!!!

Rooms and all linen were cleaned and linen replaced daily. Front desk staff spoke fluent English and were always helpful and pleasant (especially with electric bicycle rental).
