The pool was around 50 degrees and the manager told us sorry we have been trying to get that fixed but we only have one person working that can do that. Sounds like it maybe an on going issue.

Stayed here a few years ago and loved it. I was only here 1 night and it was fine but not as great as it was before. Biggest complaint was breakfast waffle maker wasn’t working, and a couple other small items with breakfast. I’m sure that will be fixed though. The front entrance clearly has some water damage and they had fans trying to dry out and clean up, but I’m sure that will be fixed too. The rooms are GREAT they are big and comfortable so that’s the most important. I would still stay again.

I wanted to share a bit of feedback from my recent stay. I noticed that the pool floor paint is chipping, and there were worms in the pool, which affected the overall swimming experience. I thought it might be helpful to bring this to your attention for maintenance review. On a positive note, the breakfast selection was excellent — fresh and well presented. It would be great to see a regular fried egg or hard-boiled egg option included as well in the future.

This property does not have a active pool. And they sent me to lifetime fitness to use their facility for their pool. They said that the Hyatt guest we're not welcome during the weekends F-Sun. So, I wasted my money because I only bought it so we could go swimming.

I booked a room with two full beds with a pull out sofa bed. We have 5 kids. Upon check in, we were put in a room with one king bed. The gentleman I spoke to fixed the issue with no problem. We booked this stay for our kids to swim for a stay-cation.. the pool was FREEZING. I had to layer towels on my back to stand to watch my kids swim for 4 minutes. We will not be returning.

Everyone was very nice. I was greatly disappointed due to no pool. Everywhere i looked about property pool was available. Staff say haven't been up and running in about 2 years . Brearkfast buffet was borderline continental. Wouldn't stay there again.

When we first arrived, we revived a single queen bed with a sofa bed when we booked a room with two queen size beds with a sofa bed. They told us they “couldnt” refund us due to the third party booking. When we got to the room, the sheets were dirty, there were stains on them, and we even found a dental floss underneath the sheets. We asked for spare blankets and they were ripped. The sink was somewhat dirty, mugs were dirty, coffee maker was dirty, countertops were somewhat dirty which had a white residue. Service was okay, could’ve been better. Breakfast was fine. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again, biggest issue was cleanliness. Save your money and book somewhere else.

We stayed for two nights. In town for a 40th high school reunion. The hotel from the outside looked nice and was located near many restaurants and stores. The room looked nice until my husband started looking for an outlet for his CPAP. That is when he found spider webs, spiders, other bugs all around the base of the bed. As I was walking to the bathroom I felt something fall in my hair. After running my fingers through my hair I found nothing, but a few minutes later I felt something biting my shoulder under my dress. The spider that fell from the ceiling ended up in my dress. The next night my husband found another spider on the ceiling. It was black and had a very hard body. The bathroom had a few bugs in it too. The breakfast wasn’t very good. The selection was limited. At check out I told the person at the desk about the spiders and the lack of cleanliness of the room. She proceeded to tell me that she too had seen a spider as I described on her desk that morning and pill bug (roly-poly) in the hallway. Hopefully they will invest in some extermination.

The room was clean but cold. I had no complaints with the cleanliness, I thought they did a great job with that. The bed was comfortable as well. The bathroom is very small if you're a big guy/girl. I didn't have many interactions with the staff, but the staff was friendly and accommodating. My only complaint was that the room was very cold and the thermostat wouldn't go up past a certain point.

This hotel was run down and absolutely disgusting. I'll start by saying that when we got there, they let us check in 45 minutes early and the front desk staff was very friendly. When we got to our room it appeared to be half clean. Drawers open, sofa bed open, nothing in place. Our room was 78 degrees. Air was running but not cooling anything down and kept shutting off. We notified the front desk and they sent maintenance and he told us that if we weren't walking around our room, it wouldnt sense us and the air wouldnt run. We went down to the pool. The floor was peeling so bad that we had paint pieces stuck to our feet. It was very run down and uncared for. When we got to our beds for the night we learned that the comforters were chunky and had interal mold on them when held to the light. (See pictures) Absolutely disgusting!!!! We took them down to the desk, they gave us new blankets, but staff was unphased like it seemed routine to them. The bathroom did seem clean. Breakfast was pathetic. Minimal options, seemed like it had been sitting for a while and we went down early. Staff were doing their best to keep things stocked but everything was constantly out - silverware, coffee cups, plates. We have stayed at several Hyatt hotels and we've always been happy. This stay was rough and we certainly won't be back to this location, maybe steering clear of this chain all together. Find a better place to stay.

Location is convenient for the Detroit Metro area, but if you actually like to sleep at night go elsewhere. We reserved a King in one reservation and got a Accessible room. The A/C was incredibly loud and made it difficult to even watch TV. For the second reservation there, they couldn't even get the two King rooms ready by mid-afternoon. These rooms also had the deafening A/C. They invested in modern controllers but have ancient A/C units.

Pros: Room was clean. Staff was friendly, kind and helpful. Location is great. Cons: WiFi Signal - weak. TV signal went in and out, especially if we rotated the TV position (huh?), no option to log in to streaming services on the TV like most hotels. Breakfast-Not staffed well. Tables weren't cleaned promptly, leaving no where for new people to sit. Fruit was overly ripe/close to spoiled. Many items were not refilled even after asking. Ran out of plates and bowls. Pool area was terrible. Paint on the floor was peeling and sticking to our feet. The pool water was freezing.

This place was just okay. Staff was really nice and friendly. The room was okay. Updating would be nice. The room heating unit is a piece of junk and has some type of white plastic strip stapled onto it to direct the air. It would also blow hot and cold and hot again. When it blew cold, I had to bundle up. Unfortunately I had to bundle up with towels from the bathroom because there were no extra blankets in the room and the “comforter” is so thin it didn’t really keep me warm. I’m sure updating the heating unit and buying Decent comforter couldn’t be too much to ask?

We book Hyatt Places often when traveling with our family of five. This property was below the expectations we have come to have from Hyatt Place hotels. The staff was friendly and efficient. However, the room was very worn. Carpet in the room was stained and lifting in places, stains on furniture, pillows lumpy and flat, doors scratched up and dinged up. Just overall not great condition. Breakfast was not good. The fitness room had only three cardio machines, no dumbbells or any thing else at all and the pool was closed, which we were not aware of when booking. I would not book here again.

Upon arrival we waited 15 minutes at an empty front desk. Until my husband went and walked into the employee area to find the Manager with his feet up and hands behind his head joking around with other staff members, a line had created in the lobby of people trying to check in by this point. Once we were finally able to get assistance from an employee to check in, we were told that their system did not have our reservation and that our only option was to pay for another one. They decided it was a time to restart their system, although we had mentioned it multiple times.. we were put in a handicap accessible room, although neither of us are handicap, there were stains on the furniture, the mini fridge freezer compartment was broken out of it, the soaps in the shower was empty, both toilet paper rolls were already used, and the air-conditioning unit was very loud all night long. This is very disappointing. I have in the past rated this exact hotel, a much higher rating, but the manager’s customer service was appalling. There was no apology, friendly gift, or voucher of any sort. The lobby breakfast is not restocked as well. Three of six the tea selections were empty The bagels were wet and frozen. No microwaves in the rooms.. Honestly just save your money and go somewhere else.

The hotel did not honor my reservation. I arrived at about 9pm and they notified me that they had given away my room. I asked when? They said the emailed me at 7:36pm. I asked why they had not called? They showed me that there was an extra zero before my area code in the form so they thought it was an international number and so did not call.

Room service was terrible. The buffet breakfast was terrible. I tried to get a blanket because it was cold and the Customer Service rep said that there was nobody working but him and that I would have to come downstairs and get it myself. The sofa was flat to the floor almost like I was sitting on the floor the back the carpet needed to be vacuumed. It was dirty no paper towel in the room. A terrible state would not recommend.

We stayed one night, two adults. Went to check in around 5:45, didn’t get to our room until 6:45. Beunca at the front desk was very kind to us, and clearly stated that our room wasn’t ready and she didn’t know how long it be until it was ready. For the price I paid, I was not expecting to have an hour long wait after check in. Was not at all pleased with that.

Room and hotel was clean, staff was pleasant to interact with outside of one exception, area was busy with eating and shopping options. However 2 main things we look for when booking are always breakfast and a swimming pool both of which were very disappointing. The pool was seasonally closed, they did offer an off property option but it was off property so we only went once. Breakfast got progressively worse by the last day they were out of all hot foods and most cold by 8:30am and brought nothing else out. Young lady working in the kitchen was rude. When I did inquire to the manager about nothing being available she asked the kitchen she was informed the truck didn't show up. I would assume this should have been something the manager would have known prior.

The room was great and so were the man who checked us in and the woman who checked us out. My only complaint was breakfast. I went down an hour before breakfast was due to end and they were out of almost everything. No pancakes, no yogurt or fruit, cereal was almost empty, bread was almost gone, and only a few drops of half and half for the coffee. The ham/Canadian bacon was so hard I couldnt even bite it.

Nice hotel. Clean. However our toilet was plugged when we arrived. They provided me with a plunger and I unclogged it. In the morning we expected a hot breakfast, however cold breakfast sausage and cold gravy is what was served there were no warmers to keep it hot.

Pros: Room was clean. Staff was friendly, kind and helpful. Location is great. Cons: WiFi Signal - weak. TV signal went in and out, especially if we rotated the TV position (huh?), no option to log in to streaming services on the TV like most hotels. Breakfast-Not staffed well. Tables weren't cleaned promptly, leaving no where for new people to sit. Fruit was overly ripe/close to spoiled. Many items were not refilled even after asking. Ran out of plates and bowls. Pool area was terrible. Paint on the floor was peeling and sticking to our feet. The pool water was freezing.

We booked a room with a king bed and were given a room with two doubles. The person checking us in said nothing about this, and it was late, so we did not go back down to inquire; however, this definitely had a negative impact on our two-night stay. Additionally, we were out until 4pm on Saturday, and upon return, our beds had not been made and we had not been given new towels. While we usually really enjoy Hyatt Place hotels, this did not seem to be well maintained and up to the standards we have come to expect (rusted desk lamp, thin/threadbare linens on the bed, low plates and options at breakfast)
