Room floor was sticky and dirty. No hotel slippers provided so the bottom of my feet were black. Concierge (Elizabeth) did not fulfill the smallest request I had which was some cutlery. Since check-in until I departed, I never received any cutlery. The walkway had orb lights that didn't work, making it extremely dangerous and unsafe to walk to and from the room at night.

Pure magic in every moment, except for the spa. The facial I received was a joke but I wasn’t laughing when I had to pay $250. Love the hotel, the restaurants and the service. Absolutely hated the spa. Hopefully they’ll fix the issue.

Azulik Tulum is a beautiful hotel, perfect for taking pictures. However, that's about it. The room was dirty and had stains on the curtains! It's a place to visit for a short while, snap some photos, and that's it. The waitstaff at the restaurants were very nice, but the beach area is small, and the water was full of seaweed and murky. Additionally, the hotel's location is not great, as it's not close to other beach clubs and restaurants. It's simply not worth staying overnight at this hotel. Make sure to read the reviews carefully before deciding to book.

This hotel is famous for a reason: it is spectacularly beautiful and truly a unique experience we will never forget. If this is on your bucket list, keep it on your bucket list. You will not be disappointed you went. Pros: - staff all incredible. Well staffed everywhere, and great security. Shout out to Carlos for the impromptu wine cellar tour! - Beach is gorgeous, clean, and pretty private. It’s separate from the main beach so much more quiet and feels very safe. More on beach below. - Exquisite property with each direction you look being more beautiful than the last. - Sunsets are a MUST! So stunning. Improvement suggestions: - add a few standard luxuries to rooms, such as bathrobes, clothing hangers and space to unpack (can be as simple as a few posts to hang dresses and some shelves for clothing) - Unfortunately some service issues we weren’t expecting, including the check in desk not asking if we want to use a credit card for the stay. Missed a cool experience we were looking forward to bc we couldn’t leave the beach without getting our credit card from our room. No option to charge to the room without opening a credit which reception missed upon checkin. - Beach is semi private and should be totally private for this price. Non-Guests kept hanging at our beach which made the space feel less safe to leave belongings while swimming. - Better pillows please. - Housekeeping missed our room for turndown so it was pitch black coming back and we had to call for help.

Never have I felt less welcome in any hotel than at the Azulik. Zero hospitality, almost all staff looked like they were smelling their own farts, with bad looks and no smiles or warmth. It took 15 minutes to be acknowledged at their restaurant, and when we said something, no one cared. My drink finally came and with molding fruit in it. When I said something, no apologies were given and they tried to make me pay for the drink with mold that I barely touched. The room was not insulated, which meant all the air conditioning just went right out which is so wasteful and a bat came into our room all three nights. The hotel does not have a pool, it is far from everything, and the staff simply do not care about their guests. In contrast, before spending three nights at Azulik, we spent three nights at the Nomade hotel and had an exceptional experience where I was greeted with smiles and care!

Teníamos bastantes espectativas del lugar, todo estaba muy sucio, se nota que los cojines que tienen nunca se han lavado, entendemos el concepto, pero la limpieza no está peleada con lo eco, adicional nos quedamos sin agua toda la noche y al día siguiente, lo cual es vital en un hospedaje, incluso por salud, solicitamos el reembolso debido de la situación y nunca obtuvimos respuesta.

Run down, under maintained poorly-run. We asked to have our Jacuzzi filled up. Because it was empty when we got to the room. We had to ask 3 more times after that. By the second night we found water in the Jaccuzi. So we went in it. They had not put candles around ours like they had for some of our neighbors. Will be woke up in the morning, I could see the jacuzzi better in the light And to my dismay, it had never been cleaned and was full of dirt and debris and grime was really nasty! The heads that they were going to clean it. Calm up, but they never get before filling up. The walkways to the room were very difficult to get to and hurt my feet. There was no feeling that you were at the beach comma and willie did go to the beach comma there was no one there because it is not cleaned And there were piles of sarcasto everywhere, and no one wanted to be there because it sank and was not even set up. I was so excited to come to Azulik, It was on my bucket list, and now I am just disappointed and feel like even with the deal we got. It was not worth it. Just visit the roof top experience for sunset and stay somewhere else. The ownership has this place abandoned and gives no TLC to the quarters.

El lugar esta bonito pero le falta luz todo es a vela para mantener esa vibra tulum pero seria mejor si tuviera luz del resto me salio una cucaracha,empezo a caer paja del techo y del reato todo el personal muy atento y buen roof

Estuvimos en la habitación #27 y la habitación de enseguida está en construcción y fue súper incómodo tratar de bañarme ya que los trabajadores estaban ahí desde temprano. También en mi primer día fueron a tocarme mientras me estaba bañando porque se está filtrando agua hacia la habitación de abajo, con ese tipo de regadera como está diseñado es imposible que no se tire agua, inclusive con solo abrir la regadera se tira agua afuera.
Estuvimos en la habitación #27 y la habitación de enseguida está en construcción y fue súper incómodo tratar de bañarme ya que los trabajadores estaban ahí desde temprano. También en mi primer día fueron a tocarme mientras me estaba bañando porque se está filtrando agua hacia la habitación de abajo, con ese tipo de regadera como está diseñado es imposible que no se tire agua, inclusive con solo abrir la regadera se tira agua afuera.

Mon amoureux et moi avons passé trois nuits à l’hôtel Azulik, dans une Skyview Villa de type hutte. Le cadre est magnifique, la décoration unique et originale mais le tout a vite tourné expérience désagréable. Dès la première nuit, de l’eau nous coulait sur la tête. Malgré une réparation supposée, la fuite est revenue la troisième nuit. Nous avons dû changer de position dans le lit, mettre un seau à nos pieds et protéger le lit avec des serviettes. Le confort? Presque inexistant. Aucune intimité, les voisins ont une vue en plongée dans la chambre. Moustiques partout, air climatisé insuffisant (28C la nuit), et une odeur nauséabonde dans les espaces communs complètent ce séjour qui aurait pu être une belle immersion dans la nature de type « luxe bohème rustique »… mais qui vire plutôt au camping sans luxe. Je dois dire que le rooftop offre une vue impressionnante et une ambiance incroyable pour un verre, mais c’est tout. À plus de 400 $ la nuit, cet hôtel est clairement surévalué, en déclin, et aurait grand besoin de rénovations. Même avec un dédommagement, je n’y retournerais pas.

This is the most romantic hotel I have ever been to, It’s so relaxing, Everything is so pretty and it makes you feel connected to the jungle and the sea The only challenging thing was that there Weren’t any lights in the bedroom, which is nice to disconnect and have a different experience, but after two nights with no light it isn’t that much fun. Still, I will go again many times, Highly recommend
This is the most romantic hotel I have ever been to, It’s so relaxing, Everything is so pretty and it makes you feel connected to the jungle and the sea The only challenging thing was that there Weren’t any lights in the bedroom, which is nice to disconnect and have a different experience, but after two nights with no light it isn’t that much fun. It doesn’t have parking, only valet. So it takes like 3-5 minutes for them to bring your car when you want to go somewhere. It’s like 10-15 minutes drive to main restaurants and hotels. Mattress was uncomfortable, kinda of hard. The design and decoration of the hotel is very unique, 2 nights to experience it is enough. Room was cleaned, food was good, and the Mirador was spectacular!!

The spa was so incredible. Most of the staff was great though communication only via WhatsApp and not having a phone in the room wasn't. No cell signal and weak wifi. The food was amazing but really expensive for drinks.

Initially we got room with broken lock and AC after fighting a little they changed our room; new room had weird sweat smell in bedsheets, we were very uncomfortable; the rooms are very rustic anyone coming here should be ready to adjust a lot since no basic things basic amenities like coffee machine microwave etc. the only good part is other amenities the lounges restaurants beach club was good part

Awrsome and beautiful place......but for how much you pay, they should at least have a refrigerator, coffee in room and the option to close your blinds. Not everyone wants to show off while showering butt naked. The "clothing optional" disclaimer is not because people run around like its a nudist resort, it is because there is no real privacy. The balconies are open to neighbor. The place is beautiful, it actually is! If you are a christian (and I am) the "spiritual blessing" are annoying and way too much. We paid for a normal, plain massage but they still wanted to do a ceremony on us. We respectfully declined and they looked at us like we were crazy. My recommendation is this is a 1 or 2 night stay, we stayed 3 nights. The tub/shower above us leaked into our room. The fan above bed is super loud. Privacy is bad.

Mon amoureux et moi avons passé trois nuits à l’hôtel Azulik, dans une Skyview Villa de type hutte. Le cadre est magnifique, la décoration unique et originale mais le tout a vite tourné expérience désagréable. Dès la première nuit, de l’eau nous coulait sur la tête. Malgré une réparation supposée, la fuite est revenue la troisième nuit. Nous avons dû changer de position dans le lit, mettre un seau à nos pieds et protéger le lit avec des serviettes. Le confort? Presque inexistant. Aucune intimité, les voisins ont une vue en plongée dans la chambre. Moustiques partout, air climatisé insuffisant (28C la nuit), et une odeur nauséabonde dans les espaces communs complètent ce séjour qui aurait pu être une belle immersion dans la nature de type « luxe bohème rustique »… mais qui vire plutôt au camping sans luxe. Je dois dire que le rooftop offre une vue impressionnante et une ambiance incroyable pour un verre, mais c’est tout. À plus de 400 $ la nuit, cet hôtel est clairement surévalué, en déclin, et aurait grand besoin de rénovations. Même avec un dédommagement, je n’y retournerais pas.

We paid a lot of money to stay here. We went to celebrate our baby moon since the hotel boasted relaxation. The staff was excellent. However, everything is very dark. No lights and lots of stairs to walk up, had to use phone light to see things in room even with the candles. The worst part was that next door there is a hotel/club that blares music all night. It was so loud that we didn’t sleep for two nights. As I mentioned, I was very pregnant during the stay and I expressed my concerns to staff and even though they had an open (upgraded) room, they chose not to offer it to a paying customer and instead left it vacant. Tulum itself was lovely but we will not spend our money here again. I recommend staying elsewhere and just making a reservation or visiting the bar and restaurant. Save your money

Super sexy, eco resort right on the beach. Love the atmosphere. Took some getting used to no lights at night. I wished i couldve blow dried my hair. Bed was so comfortable! Will definitely be back.

When they say this place is not a hotel, but an experience: they mean it! From the moment we arrived our concierge, Christian, was warm, enthusiastic and just what we needed after a long flight. Leda and Adam were also so helpful! The angels team on what’s app was a convenience I never had before, but they really make you feel like you’re renting the entire place. We’d go out and come back each day and we were welcomed home by Christian and it really felt like we had come to stay there for longer than 5 days. The decor, the food, the rooftop are all top tier. Best experience I’ve had to date. Thank you Azulik!

My stay at Azulik was wonderful. The hotel is one of a kind and an awesome experience. Paola, our receptionist greeted us every morning and was very friendly. We also received nice assistance from our concierge Olivia. The staff was great and I especially appreciate housekeeping for making the stay clean and attentive. Valet guys were always kind with great attitudes. I now have a family member that booked their stay at Azulik for August, and may refer others. Best, John

Underwhelming, there was a lot of hype around this property. It fell short. Three stars are fair. I am accustomed to the hotel front desk greeting me and asking to help me or offer assistance. They wouldn't even look up from their phones. Restaurants were mid. Wouldn't book here again.

Out of 4 nights we had: 3 days with no hot water, and 2 days of construction in the room above us made it impossible to stay in the room or the Terence during the daytime. No way to order room service besides walking to the concierge desk since there was no reception/wifi in the rooms and the landline phone was broken…. And many other mishaps. ZERO HELP OR WILLINGNESS OF THE STAFF TO FIZ PROBLEMS. Wonderful hotel architecture, and horrible service. Definitely not what you would expect from an over 1000 usd a night hotel in Mexico.

I found the place massively disappointing, service was awful, standard rooms are very dated now and need a refresh and we couldn’t even check in until 5pm but yet they send me several messages on check out day to ensure I was out by 11am even after saying I wanted an extra hour due to the 2 hour delay at check in! No lighting is an issue, means the girls can’t do their makeup and to be honest it’s just dangerous as you can’t see a think, I even knocked a candle over as they are not secured to anything and as the entire place is wood that’s not ideal. The prices are ridiculous, Kin Toh cheapest main course is £60 and I’ve had a better pasta in Wetherspoons! Overall I was just very disappointed which was a huge shame, visit the museum or bar for your Insta pics but don’t stay here or eat here

I am so happy with the hotel and everyone there. I want to mention Elizabeth Bustamante, Erika and Doris (massage), Abdiel (Elixir). To Santos, Gilberto and Andre’s the chef (Kin Toh). To Isaias from Italik, truly amazing server. To the wine expert Carlos and the tour guide Sabino. To the Temazcal expert Victor. The atmosphere was amazing and very pleasant. The meal delicious. I recommend it. I feel very recharged.

The guest service was really terrible. We had to wait for an hour a half for a room to be ready and we came 1 hour after check-in. It was 90 degrees and we had to sit and they did not even offer water. The room only had one light and the matches didn’t work. We could not see all week. Our bathroom faucet was glued together and looked so cheap and tacky. Our room did not look like the photos. Our deck had nails and staples sticking out everywhere. We could not be barefoot. They did not come and clean our room or do turn down service.

I liked the views and how the walkway has palm trees on each side. I didnt like how the resort was very expensive and there wasnt a lot of people so the walkways were kind of rough since there wouldnt be lots of people walking over it

Disappointing service, activities, service and food. The staff did a horrible job explaining the ins and outs of the offerings at the property. Their QR codes didn’t work. The food was honestly terrible for the price. And they’ll charge you $300 for checking out at 1 instead of 11 - but they don’t let you know this ahead of time because it’s “in the fine print.” It’s also located so far away from everything - you have to take a taxi 20 minutes into th strip to get near the food restaurants ($25 each way). Good news, the azulik property is gorgeous and the sunset is nice

Breakfast at Exilik good. Beach club closes at 5pm and no towels available anymore. Sunset was at 6:30-7pm. Beach looks dirty and water too. Other area in Tulum are better off. Asian restaurant just expensive but not qualitatively interesting.

Azulik Tulum is a beautiful hotel, perfect for taking pictures. However, that's about it. The room was dirty and had stains on the curtains! It's a place to visit for a short while, snap some photos, and that's it. The waitstaff at the restaurants were very nice, but the beach area is small, and the water was full of seaweed and murky. Additionally, the hotel's location is not great, as it's not close to other beach clubs and restaurants. It's simply not worth staying overnight at this hotel. Make sure to read the reviews carefully before deciding to book.

This hotel is famous for a reason: it is spectacularly beautiful and truly a unique experience we will never forget. If this is on your bucket list, keep it on your bucket list. You will not be disappointed you went. Pros: - staff all incredible. Well staffed everywhere, and great security. Shout out to Carlos for the impromptu wine cellar tour! - Beach is gorgeous, clean, and pretty private. It’s separate from the main beach so much more quiet and feels very safe. More on beach below. - Exquisite property with each direction you look being more beautiful than the last. - Sunsets are a MUST! So stunning. Improvement suggestions: - add a few standard luxuries to rooms, such as bathrobes, clothing hangers and space to unpack (can be as simple as a few posts to hang dresses and some shelves for clothing) - Unfortunately some service issues we weren’t expecting, including the check in desk not asking if we want to use a credit card for the stay. Missed a cool experience we were looking forward to bc we couldn’t leave the beach without getting our credit card from our room. No option to charge to the room without opening a credit which reception missed upon checkin. - Beach is semi private and should be totally private for this price. Non-Guests kept hanging at our beach which made the space feel less safe to leave belongings while swimming. - Better pillows please. - Housekeeping missed our room for turndown so it was pitch black coming back and we had to call for help.

Improvement suggestions: - add a few standard luxuries to rooms, such as bathrobes, clothing hangers and space to unpack (can be as simple as a few posts to hang dresses and some shelves for clothing) - Unfortunately some service issues we weren’t expecting, including the check in desk not asking if we want to use a credit card for the stay. Missed a cool experience we were looking forward to bc we couldn’t leave the beach without getting our credit card from our room. No option to charge to the room without opening a credit which reception missed upon checkin. - Beach is semi private and should be totally private for this price. Non-Guests kept hanging at our beach which made the space feel less safe to leave belongings while swimming. - Better pillows please. - Housekeeping missed our room for turndown so it was pitch black coming back and we had to call for help.

We paid a lot of money to stay here. We went to celebrate our baby moon since the hotel boasted relaxation. The staff was excellent. However, everything is very dark. No lights and lots of stairs to walk up, had to use phone light to see things in room even with the candles. The worst part was that next door there is a hotel/club that blares music all night. It was so loud that we didn’t sleep for two nights. As I mentioned, I was very pregnant during the stay and I expressed my concerns to staff and even though they had an open (upgraded) room, they chose not to offer it to a paying customer and instead left it vacant. Tulum itself was lovely but we will not spend our money here again. I recommend staying elsewhere and just making a reservation or visiting the bar and restaurant. Save your money

Azulik is a beautiful and unique place to stay. The design and construction blew my mind and were so well thought out. The restaurants and roof top patios are a must. Our stay was well worth the high price of the room, but I would only do 2-3 nights max. We missed little comforts which would become bothersome after a few days. No lights and no shower was fun but got old fast. The excessive prices on everything else was beyond ridiculous. The only option for a cup of coffee is the restaurant or room service at $10/cup. A bottle of corona on the beach, also $10. A small margarita, $30. The food in the restaurant, while delicious, seemed to have an extra zero on the end of everything. The experience was amazing but I wouldn’t go back.

The spa was so incredible. Most of the staff was great though communication only via WhatsApp and not having a phone in the room wasn't. No cell signal and weak wifi. The food was amazing but really expensive for drinks.

Disappointing service, activities, service and food. The staff did a horrible job explaining the ins and outs of the offerings at the property. Their QR codes didn’t work. The food was honestly terrible for the price. And they’ll charge you $300 for checking out at 1 instead of 11 - but they don’t let you know this ahead of time because it’s “in the fine print.” It’s also located so far away from everything - you have to take a taxi 20 minutes into th strip to get near the food restaurants ($25 each way). Good news, the azulik property is gorgeous and the sunset is nice

Breakfast at Exilik good. Beach club closes at 5pm and no towels available anymore. Sunset was at 6:30-7pm. Beach looks dirty and water too. Other area in Tulum are better off. Asian restaurant just expensive but not qualitatively interesting.

Underwhelming, there was a lot of hype around this property. It fell short. Three stars are fair. I am accustomed to the hotel front desk greeting me and asking to help me or offer assistance. They wouldn't even look up from their phones. Restaurants were mid. Wouldn't book here again.

I am so happy with the hotel and everyone there. I want to mention Elizabeth Bustamante, Erika and Doris (massage), Abdiel (Elixir). To Santos, Gilberto and Andre’s the chef (Kin Toh). To Isaias from Italik, truly amazing server. To the wine expert Carlos and the tour guide Sabino. To the Temazcal expert Victor. The atmosphere was amazing and very pleasant. The meal delicious. I recommend it. I feel very recharged.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience for us. Of course, there were a few challenges along the way, but we came here fully aware of what to expect, so nothing really caught us by surprise. What impressed me most was the effort the resort has made for its guests, it almost feels as if they built the hotel right on top of the ocean. Because of that, I find it a bit unfair to focus too much on minor inconveniences. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and eager to help whenever needed. My room was always kept clean and well maintained. The air conditioning could have been a little stronger, but honestly, once you open the door and let the ocean breeze drift into the room, you find yourself falling asleep to the sound and scent of the sea. At that point, the air conditioning becomes the last thing on your mind. We left with beautiful memories and a genuine appreciation for the experience. Thank you to everyone who helped make our stay enjoyable.
