Why do you put people in a room with full charge with broken bathroom door?

Room wasn't downright dirty but not totally clean either. Outer doors not locked and anyone can enter. Noticed couple people hanging around outside that didn't seem to belong.what appeared to be long term occupants very noisy.

floor lamp didn't work - we checked the light bulb and the connection. No stopper in the sink. Cigarette burn holes in the bedspreads.

Overall, hotel stay was ok. Checked in at the earliest I could do I could use the laundry. Even got quarters from the front desk. Got down to laundry only to find a sign on it that states ‘out of order’. Looks like it had been there awhile. :-( Ice maker had the same sign. Older property, but otherwise ok. Would have like to t my laundry done and maybe a cold drink.

The toilet leaked on the bathroom floor. There was black mold in the window well. There were weeds growing around the grounds and the grass wasn't cut. It looked like an abandoned d=Days Inn, but it wasn't

This place was a dump! Toilet seat falling off, shower rod falling off as was curtain over window. Chipped paint everywhere and missing electric socket cover...fire Hazzard. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Will be writing corporate.

Outside is definitely dated and doesn’t look appealing or welcoming, but the manager was kind and helpful upon our arrival. The room was large, but immediately smelled damp/mildew. Couldn’t see out the window due to moisture between the panes. Beds were fine. Walls, door, fridge had dents and paint missing - everything needs updating. Very noisy with the thin walls, but that was to be expected. Very convenient location with a Dunkin in the same parking lot and Sheetz/WaWa across the street. Overall, it was fine for a couple nights.

The hotel was near the highway, so close that I could hear the trucks with their Jake brakes coming on most of the night. The hotel seemed very old and as though maintenance was beginning to wane. The sheets were so old on the bed that they were getting thin. The sheets had stains in them. The pillows were so old that they compressed down to about a half an inch, and therefore I needed to stack three together to support my head. There were only three on the bed and it was a queen size bed. The free breakfast that they advertised was oatmeal, cold cereal, bread that you could toast, a bagel that you could toast, and urn of coffee that didn’t taste very good, and orange juice, which was appreciated. Wow this was the lowest price hotel that I could find in Winchester, Virginia, it was still overpriced for what I got. If I have to stay in Winchester Virginia ever again, I will not stay there.

To start off I was called while traveling to the hotel that day that there is a problem with my King bed booking due to maintenance problems and would I accept a queen instead. I felt I had no other choice so I accepted. Check in was smooth and nothing said about the changes. I booked a non-smoking room which the sign said on the door. When I entered I could smell smoke immediately. I looked around and noticed there was only (1) bath towel and no soap. I went back to the service desk and asked for another towel and soap, they gave me the towel and some soap and said that housekeeping probably just forgot. I don't think the room was totally cleaned-I found cigarette ashes on the bathroom floor. The sink was broken, it didn't even have a drain stopper that worked. Make sure you bring a clock and a phone since there are none in the room. Basically you get a bed, TV, and lights (bare minimum). Didn't even have a closet to hang anything. Very outdated and really needs a good painting. I told the front desk about the smoke smell and I was told it was probably coming in from the vents. We won't be coming back anytime soon.

Room and lobby smelled horrible the bed cover had holes in it when I woke up in the morning the sheets pulled away from the mattress cover and it looked like blood stains on it. Horrified at the least. Took a quick shower and ran away as fast as I could.

It wasn't too bad if you needed to just get in, sleep, and promptly wake up and leave. Not the most comfortable or inviting place for an extended stay. Staff had a lot of troubles with their reservation system. Guests ahead of me all seemed to experience issues that took extra time to be resolved thus requiring me to patiently wait for my turn in the que while witnessing mounting frustrations between those guests and staff. It wasn't very encouraging or inspiring. When we finally entered our room we discovered that the toilet had been used and not flushed. That had us scrutinizing everything else more than we normally would have. In general it was all passable at best but was excepted since it was late and we really needed to rest, wich we did. The beds were fine but we each only had one thin pillow to use. We had some extra pillows we brought from home and used them as well. I can not recommend this place.

Mould around tub, shower curtain stained, stained ceiling and wall, no hair dryer. Terrible smell in hall at top of the stairs.

Hotel is dirty. Floor was greasy and all the chairs were covered in stains. Would have went to a different hotel if they weren’t all booked.

Nothing was clean except the sheets. Dirty bathroom, dirty windows, even dirty light switches. The room smelled like cigarettes and the bathtub had cigarette burn marks on it.

Old facility that needs better cleanliness.

I booked this hotel because it was $61 a night and I needed a place to sleep at night while in the area. I slept on blankets on top of the bed I brought myself because the comforter provided had a white powder like substance on it, and the corner of the sheets I pulled up had marker stains on them. The room itself and the shower were not clean and the walls were paper thin; I could hear the conversations in the rooms across the hall behind closed doors. This is simply a place to crash at night if you don’t mind all of the above. The woman who checked me in the first day was very nice, but the man who checked me out asked me three times to leave a “good review” for this dump of a place. I would never ever stay here again even if it was free.

The towels were worn through in places, and the bottom sheets barely fit the mattresses. On the plus side, reception was friendly and the mattresses were very comfortable. Breakfast was... well, the juices both tasted spoiled. The bread and bagels were fresh but the coffee was harsh.

Room stank of dog piss and cigarette smoke. Dog hair was still on the sheets from the previous person. Stains on the chair were revolting. Persons traveling with us were unable to stay in the room, given the state of it, especially not with children. When they tried to talk with the manager on site, they were dismissed. When we tried to talk with the manager on site the following morning, we also were dismissed.

Confortable bed. Red spot stained on the a bed sheet but felt and looked clean.

Noise in the hallway at night - some people banging on doors trying to wake others up - but in the process woke us up in other rooms!

Passing through and needed a place to stay. Good, clean room with a very comfortable bed. Fridge and microwave was a welcome addition to the room.

This was an ok place to lay our heads after our night out, and the bed was decently comfortable. However, there was a lot here that would make us pay a bit more money and not return. Firstly, in addition to paying for the room when I checked in I had to place a $50 dollar hold on my card, it was a little unclear what this was for. When I checked out she told me it was returned immediately. So, I can’t imagine it could have been for room damages or anything of that sort. I attempted to ask prior to agreeing but couldn’t make sense of what she was saying it was for. & it was ok for me to do that so I did, but some people who aren’t expecting it may not have it to hold. When I walked into the building it actually smelled pretty clean, bleach like. But that quickly faded. We were upstairs and as soon as you hit the top of the steps there was a nasty smell in the hallway and the further you walked down it, it began to smell like cigarettes (in the nonsmoking area). The smell wasn’t in our room though, thank goodness. However, there were cigarette burns in our comforter. Additionally, the rooms were pretty outdated, which isn’t a huge deal. There wasn’t anything that stood out as huge filth, but it just didn’t feel greatly cleaned either. They didn’t have the air conditioner on so it was a musty feeling as soon as you walked in. We turned the AC on and went to our event, when we returned we learned the AC wasn’t in great working condition and only cooler the room off (still hot).

Staff very friendly. Rooms clean

The area was good but that was about it. The staff was very rude and argumentative, we even had to call corporate at one point. The bathroom smelled very strong of mold, the hallway smelled of urine, the key cards stopped working eleven seperate times that we had to go to the front desks, and there were many other issues. They refreshed to give us enough towels for the amount of people in our room and wouldn’t allow us to have towels till after 5pm either.

the stay overall was nice but the guy at the front desk made my friend extremely uncomfortable at checkout he followed her to her car to assure we would leave a good review it was very unsettling

Front desk person was so nice and friendly. Room was so clean and looking good. Good location around gas stations, fast food and restaurants. So you will have all in one spot.

I was charged twice for this room. After booking and paying online the hotel charged me extra. Room outdated bed made a lot of noise getting in && out. Towels and wash clothes was brown as if the had already been used. I will never stay here again

Even though the stay was paid for in advance, we were asked for a $20 cash or card deposit for incidentals. What incidentals? Refundable. Thank goodness. Room was clean, beds were comfy, sink was broken but otherwise ok. Sketchy people in the parking lot. Denny’s and Dunkin right next door.

These people stepped up and got me into a room when the Microtel hotel across the street, messed up my pre-paid reservations. They got me a room and were very nice. I will never pay more to stay across the street. If you get a room on the backside of the hotel you can back up to your window and watch your car at night. Will stay here again in October probably. Fine for single travelers and there is a very good Dennys right next door to eat at.

I was waiting to review this Days Inn in hopes of getting a response from manger after several mesages to him. Since I did not get a response, here goes. When we arrived at the hotel, we did not have time to examine room as we were late to a service. We did comment about smell and not what we anticipated, but decided to look at the room when we got back. When we walked in later, the smell was overpowering. The bathroom was filthy and when we turned the sheets down, they had holes in them and they were stained. The air conditioner had a great deal of dust and debris coming from it. There was no way we would stay the night there. When we told the staff, they told us to email the manager for a refund. We have NOT heard back. My grandaughter saw what looked like mice feces on the floor. We did not feel safe as there were no families there, just a few individuals who looked unsavory. This Days Inn should be closed and no one should stay there. I will update my review if i ever hear from the manager. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. There is more i could say, but you get the message.

Just ok.Need better breakfast

Strong cigarette odor in hallways, room was Outdated worn and not clean… bugs found in bathroom, tub was very dirty Continental breakfast was white toast, plan bagel Or cornflakes… 🙁

I got there late and the front desk attendant was kind and efficient. He gets 100% rating! My room was open when I got there, which was a bit creepy, but it was clean and beds were made. No shower curtain. Broken toilet seat. Handprint on the wall. Coffee wasn't made in the morning and the offerings for the "continental breakfast" were pathetic. For a last-minute stay on the road it's fine. For a planned visit, I'd find somewhere else.

When we go to Motorcycle races down in WV we always usually stay here as it is on the cheaper side and we dont spend much time in the room And its close location to were we go. however this stay was the worst ever, the TV controller didnt work, there was no ashtrays in a smoking room. There was no bathtub plug if someone wanted to have a bath. the tub and room were not the cleanest. Oh and the "free breakfast" was laughable the juice machine wasnt working there was no fruit offered had 1 kind of cereal to chose from. This was the worst stay ever there. Will be thinking of trying another place.

I did not like the simple breakfast. This continental breakfast should be clear when making reservations. I was looking for just a little more to eat, but I felt deceived with breakfast description. Everything else was ok.

Staff is friendly. Room was fairly clean ,bed comfortable. Continental breakfast was sub par. No coffee at 7:00 am. Dunkin’ across the parking lot thankfully.

No smoking room, but room, including sheets, smelled very much of cigarette smoke. What was available for breakfast could hardly be considered breakfast - there was two kinds of cereal, but no milk; an empty container of milk, an empty container of juice, some white bread, 2 bagels and one thermos of coffee - no decaf, no cream (just dry powder creamer), no tea or hot water. If you are going to advertise that you serve breakfast, it should include more than that. It did not even say continental breakfast!
