Kahana Falls Resort

Great value for Kaanapali region of Maui. Across the street from beach, walkable to restaurants, Maui Brewing , and breakfast spots. Pool, property and waterfall was beautiful. My only wish was that jets worked in the main hot tub. There is a hidden hot tub behind back building staff told us about that was awesome. The one bedroom condo with kitchen was perfect for family of four, with A/C. I live on Oahu and again say this is a great value for the price without exorbitant resort fees and plenty of space.

Great location, staff were super friendly. Pool was nice and had coffee for us every morning. Even after we checked out they let us stay by the pool and had showers for us to use before we left to the airport.

Liked: Hot tub, waterfalls, kitchen and living area for guests that have a late flight.

Unit was clean. The washer and dryer might need some maintenance. A little loud. But the unit was very nice sized and the gym and pool were great

Very nice place and reasonable compared to other properties around then. Pool area small but has beautiful rock waterfalls going into the pool and jacuzzi.

Loved the fact that filtered water and ice were available 24 hrs a day. Amazing pool and hot tubs.

The facilities are a bit old and need some updating, that being said, everything works well. The pool, rooms, gym, etc are clean and presentable. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are two nice coy ponds and a separate green area by the laundry room. The property has a relaxing calm atmosphere. The concierge was helpful and didn’t try to force us towards a timeshare presentation. The only issue I had is that housekeeping didn’t clean our room on Saturday and had to wait till the next day. The manager sent a clean set of towels right away.

The fire alarm oblivious was not checked because it's low battery alarm woke us up at 2:00 in the morning... and the TV dindt operate right.

The hotel we stayed at I would recommend if you go to Maui. Kahana falls hotel. Great room very good bed, modern fixtures, mini kitchen fully stocked with all utensils and plates cups etc. Free bag of coffee and coffee maker, with cream and sugar, very modern bath double vanity sinks. Ac thermostat very adjustable. Large Beach towels given with ticket you get with room can get new towel daily. Lot of free parking. No resort fees, and it even came with small box of tide soap and I did my laundry just before check out, free washer and dryer. Then there's the vip lounge for all guests: computer room with 3 computers to use, fitness gym, card and game room, very large tv lounge and a complete kitchen with stove if you need to use one. When you check out and need to kill time before your flight they allow you to use this place on the second floor as long as you like. We stayed in there too long the last day and car was almost overdue. Outdoors has a pool, 2 hot tubs with Jacuzzi, 3 BBQ grills. Lobby also has complimentary coffee and fruit drink

I like free parking and very close to your room. The sand bottom jaccuzi was great. The staffs very friendly. The room is nice and the bathroom very clean and bright, not dark like other place.

Awesome hotel!!! Love the full kitchen!! Love having a washer and dryer in the room!! The pool and hot tub is really nice!!!! Hotel staff is super friendly! Can walk to the beach! The only negative thing I have to say is there were tiny ants in the kitchen the entire time!! We asked a few times for someone to come spray but it never happened. It was not a big deal for us. The good out way the one negative! Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again! It was nice how quiet the hotel was!

in p it was excellent, only one important thing for the quantum! we lived 6 nights in this hotel and only once they cleaned our room and it was very poorly cleaned, the floors were not washed, the shower and toilet were not washed. I doubt it or the bed linen has been changed

No frills resort with nice pool. Studio rooms are very basic with window with limited access and no privacy. Not super clean, and bugs were common in room so bring bug spray and Lysol/clorox

Rooms looked like they hadn't been updated since the place was built. There was mold in the shower mat.

Huge cockroaches

There were loungers around the very small pool, but they got sopping wet each time it rained. Room was represented to have a washer/ dryer and a lanai. Neither was present. There were tiny flies / bugs all over the kitchenette counter- hundreds of them. Room was cleaned three times during our 15 day stay. Maids were very nice when seen. There isn’t much in close walking distance. Small Window looked out on parking lot.

A very nice property and well located for my needs. Surprised there was no daily housekeeping. Room was not available on time had to wait; also could not accommodate early or late check in/out. Minor 1st world problems. I understand the staffing issues.

I didn’t like the services for example they Charger for everything and they didn’t Cleaning every day your room.

Even though this is an older property, it was well maintained and very clean. I especially appreciated the front desk accommodating our family checking in earlier than 3:00. And, when the TV in our bedroom was not working, they were very prompt in sending someone up to fix it. Overall, a very good vacation.

This property was very, very nice. Not over the top, but that was part of its charm. Check-in was seamless and friendly. We were on the 5th floor with a nice view of the pool and other tower. The room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Balcony had 2 sliders, one from the living room and one from the bedroom. There were 2 minor things to be aware of. The entrance from the street isn’t really hidden but kind of blends in with the adjacent property. Also, while the parking is free and ample, the location in the back of the tower is a tight squeeze to maneuver. Neither of these

The room that they gave us was noisy with constant loud construction and loud housekeeping next door and room has no windows or sunlight whatsoever, it’s basically basement in the back of the building. The WiFi didn’t work for the first 3 days either

The property is nice and if you have a forward facing view, you can see the beach from the balcony. I had a one bedroom condo. It was really nice and clean. There's an adjoining room for those with large families or groups of people. I can walk across the street to the beach with black sand, which is different from other parts of the island! There's a restaurant across the street that has great food as well! Unfortunately, the door between the two condos is paper thin! So, you can clearly hear the other party! We had a discontented toddler next door. And when he cried it sounded like he was in our condo!

Make sure you got a place with a balcony because if you get the standard room it is like a basement.

Air conditioner remote did not work properly. I was able to turn it on with the button on the unit. The sofa was inconveniently located in front of the pull down bed so you have to rearrange furniture to get the bed out. The pull down bed was very comfortable. Unit was clean. Kitchen had everything I needed. My advice is to turn off the ice maker at night as it makes too much noise. Shower has almost zero water pressure but that is the norm anywhere in Hawaii. Unit was convenient walk to the car and to the beach. Desk staff is friendly. Hot tub was hot. I would stay here again.

The condo type suites are awesome! The bedroom is offset w the bathroom. There are screened windows that really open for fresh air. The lanai has a nice round table & 4 chairs. There is a large living room type area w a pullout (bed)giant couch. And there is a dining room table w 4 chairs!! The kitchen is fully equipped to cook! The price is right. Parking is a bit tight. I had a great stay!

Room was nice condition, but small. It had a door to adjoining room that needs to be sound insulated, so you can not hear conversations and noise from tenants next door.

The staff were friendly, attentive & accommodating. I rented a 1 bdrm condo w/a sofa sleeper. The condo was fully equipped! Very convenient! It’s an older building. Furniture is dated and kitchen needs a makeover. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

Comfortable bed, priced fairly, friendly staff, clean all around except for sand on floors. Picture of the studio from the website was taken with wide angle lens that makes the room look bigger than it is. Poor ventilation, room had no window to look out of except to the ceiling of the hallway. Pool, hot tub, grounds all very nice!

Be sure not to book one of the hotel rooms as they are tiny, dark and have no view. We were able to upgrade to a studio that was very nice. The pool and area are good with waterfalls that create a relaxing atmosphere. The front desk staff were professional and helpful.

We were pleased with the accommodations as we also had 2 other Hotel 2 units. We couldn’t get the tvs in those two hotel rooms to connect. So we all went to the full condo we got through Expedia to watch tv in the evenings. Checking in was difficult. I got the feeling the girl at counter was new and had to make several phone calls to manager. She also told us incorrectly where our rooms were.

Good customer support and friendly staff

I must say, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. We arrived a few hours before the standard check-in time in hopes of an early check-in, but unfortunately, our room wasn’t ready until just five minutes before 4:00 PM. While we waited, we enjoyed some time by the pool, which was a pleasant way to pass the time. One aspect that stood out as a bit unusual was the requirement to visit the concierge in order to receive our parking pass. It became clear that this was a way to introduce a timeshare presentation opportunity. While we understand this may be part of the resort’s business model, we found it disappointing to be approached with a sales pitch during what was meant to be a relaxing vacation. The concierge offered us a $100 gift card to book a time slot, claiming we wouldn’t have to attend the presentation. We explained we couldn’t commit as our schedule was still uncertain. On the day of the proposed meeting, we informed John that we wouldn’t be able to attend. His response,“Would’ve been nice to know earlier as someone else could’ve taken this spot” felt unnecessarily curt and unprofessional, which unfortunately left a negative impression. That said, the accommodations were wonderful. The room was the perfect size, and we especially appreciated the convenience of the kitchenette. The property itself is stunning and well-situated near excellent local restaurants. The beach in front of the resort offered fantastic snorkeling where we saw turtles, whales, & eels!

Room was clean and big for two of us, and we liked the beach towel service for free. We did not need it, but they also had some rental beach chairs, too. People at the front desk were very friendly and their 3 cats and some chickens were cute.

The rooms will not be serviced at all during your stay. They do offer a towel service, although when requested and it was denied. I don’t believe it’s too much to request a new towel for a 4 night stay. This resort is just petty. Not much around the area. Only one bar in walking distance. I wouldn’t stay here again, especially for the price.

On 16th July when we checked in put the AC on. I saw a green light blinking in the AC but I did not bother as we had evening plans. When we came back late 16th night we were really tired and went to bed. We realized AC was not working because we were sweating thru the night. 17th we left early around 6.00 am. We came back in thee evening and AC did not work so I called front desk. They said they are going to put a work order for 18th forcing us to sleep the second night also without AC. Hilrious part was dumb management sent me a box fan while the room already had a ceiling fan. The two nights were miserable. Either the hotel or hotels.com must do a partial refund. I booked this hotel room 7 months ago. But right on the two days we stayed in this hotel we could not get a good night sleep. Hotel did not give us our moneys worth and all services promised for the $$$ I paid. So pease do a partial refund!

Loved it! Hidden gem for sure across the street from kahana beach and a mile away from airport beach super easy to get to and from everywhere in the kaanapali area

Close to beach, walking to many shops. Always someone friendly at the desk. Quiet and comfy room

Kahana Falls was right across the street from the beach and an excellent location to watch the sunsets. We saw humpback whales and sea turtles from the beach. The room was super comfortable and we made good use of the kitchenette. We loved the jacuzzi setting! It was also an easy drive to lahaina and kapalua from this spot.

There where 3 main things i liked about this property. 1:The amenities, it has all that you need for a comfortable like home stay, 2: walking distance to the beach (literally across the street), and 3rd the courteous staff. The beds where not the most comfortable but everything else in the apartment is. This was a quiet property so if you're looking to relax this is it. Short driving distance to attractions and shopping. And the beach right across the street seems more like a private beach compare to others in the area (kaanapali beach). And last important mention, Road to Hana is about 45 min drive.

For the price point, this is an excellent condo, just a quick walk across the street to a beautiful beach. Property has a nice pool and hot tub, and the location is good.

This hotel is just across the beach, we watched beautiful sunset almost everyday. Staff is very friendly and accommodated. We would definitely book this place again.

We had an enjoyable stay. Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and spa area were nice and the laundry facilities were free (if you didn’t have a washer and dryer in your room). There was beach access literally right across the street (less than 5 min walk) and the beach was very nice. By car you are only 10 min from all of the dining and shopping in Kaanapali and 15 or so to Lahaina. Cons: I think that I expected a little bit more in terms of the size of the room. It was a queen bed plopped in the middle with a sink, fridge, and microwave all lined up on one side of the bed instead of a nightstand. There were also two dining chairs agains the wall with a fold up table. Not sure where we would have put that if we had the need. While the room was clean, it was dated. There are bigger rooms there with full kitchens and living areas, so if that is what you are looking for, make sure that you ask for that. That was my fault. If I had it to do over again, I would get that type of room.

This Lahaina Area has a lot going for it for folks looking for an easygoing Hawaii experience. If you're just going around the area, driving is more trouble than it's worth. There are some places like the Fairway Plaza and the Maui Ocean Center that are awesome and driveable. I don't recommend worrying about too much about the "high-end restaurants" the best thing I got at Buck's was the Fish and Chips. Highly recommend the shave ice and the ice cream.

Staff was not very polite. They didn't clean my room. Room interior was old and falling apart. No breakfast.

I worried that the hotel would not be as pretty as the pictures, but it was actually more lovely. With its koi pond, waterfalls and beautifully landscaped property, it was a lovely and peaceful stay. I had a 1 bedroom, 1 bath with a living room (and a sofa bed), eating area, porch and full kitchen, which I highly recommend. The gym was quite good for a small hotel (which my son who is into weightlifting enjoyed). For Maui, the price is really affordable. It is close (walking distance) to several really good restaurants (Beach House, Dolly's and Miso Phat) as well McDonalds, a coffee shop and Maui Brewery. There are a couple small beaches nearby and a short drive away from a larger one and shopping areas. A rental car is good to have to explore the island and enjoy the incredible views available by driving north on 30, but don't bother with a muscle car. The speeds are generally 20-45, so better to get something economical (although I did enjoy our Mustang convertible). The bathroom did appear to need updating, but if you don't mind some parts being worn down, everything worked well. There is not daily house cleaning, which I actually preferred, but they do clean the place mid week if you 7 days. You can refresh towels at the front desk as often as you'd like. They rent beach equipment very cheaply (from donations, so don't expect exceptional quality) in which all proceeds go to charity. If you expect a perfect place, pay more and go elsewhere. I would definitely stay again!

This property is so close to the beach with a sunset view and a sister hotel with a pool side bar ! I would stay here again hands down ! They also have a hot tub that is open 24/7

What's not to like? It has everything you need and is reasonably priced unlike the rest of Maui. I liked the beach house restaurant across the street. And there's other dining options down the road. The beach is nearby. The staff was really friendly and helpful . It was great.

The property is safe,clean and good parking the staff are nice and friendly. The best part is the restaurant Capt Jacks across the street very good food and reasonable prices. And finally you can see the sunset right from the restaurant.
