We spent a night with our 2 dogs - they provided a pet bed and dishes! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.The building was beautiful with classic charm, but all the modern upgrades. Love the elevator, so unique these days. Very clean with comfortable beds. Would recommend this hotel and look forward to returning - with a little more time to enjoy it!

The vintage elevator is cool but I almost feel guilty asking staff to operate it at times. Stairs up to the 4th floor suck when your full from dinner but you do them anyway so staff arent bothered or judging u lol

Great location for food. Close to amenities on the west end of town. Gym is great. Room is fantastic, beds are great which is key. It is a little noisy but thats the city. The tvs dont have cable which I found a bit of a negative.

Really cool room with art individualised in each bedroom. Very comfortable bed and spacious, however the sink in the bedroom felt odd, unnecessary and wasn’t to our taste. The coffee included on the balcony was a nice touch and hotel staff were courteous and friendly. There’s a small gym with some treadmills and a multi purpose weight machine which was a good touch. Well situated for exploring Toronto on a Streetcar line (took about 20/25 minutes to the heart of downtown Toronto by streetcar).

We loved our overnight stay at Gladstone House. It’s a beautiful, chic boutique hotel that also was designed with comfort and convenience in mind. Nice gym. Comfortable beds with super soft sheets. We’d definitely stay there again!

I had a great stay at the Gladstone House. I was in town for Pride and to see a concert at the Budweiser Stage. The hotel was near all of my events and Queen St is really cool to walk up and down. There’s plenty of cool restaurants and shops near by and the staff was very friendly. The only downside is the single elevator (which is a really cool antique) makes it kind of slow getting up and down if you’re in n an upper floor.

Its a little further out from the city center than anticipated but the long walks necessary to get downtown, to the AGO, and Kensington Market are full of interest and while transportation is to the front door walking is recommended. The hotel is very old and the elevator, while quite a work of art, is not really fully available as you have to wait for an employee to help. It can be a long climb if you are tired. The staff are top notch and the amenities such as an espresso bar and a billiard room are pretty interesting. Special mention to Carol who went well beyond expectations to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. I definitely would stay here again.

First time staying at Gladstone house. Great hotel. Good sized room. Parking was different. But, they have a video on YouTube showing you how to get to the parking. Which made it very easy. Plus, the staff was great & quick to respond with any questions I had. I would definitely stay there again!

Room was not cleaned very well/hair all over the place when I checked into the room. Especially in the bathroom. At checkout, nobody was there to assist with luggage or operate the elevator, as I was heading to the airport. Carried my bags down from the 4th floor, only to find the night auditor sitting there, eating—I guess ignoring the elevator alert that would have came through. Not the greatest experience overall.

The Shower stall was good! The wifi was good What was not good: Feces around the toilet floor. Broken flush lever. Noisy fan duct work outside of room. Heard it all night. Not worth the amount for the stay Parking was extra A wedding party monopolized the breakfast and dinner restaurant on site. TV channels kept disconnecting. Long time to registered. Their computer software failed.

The bed is very comfortable but there were 2-3 bugs in the shower. The shower all the water runs out on the floor and the outside windows were not clean for a while. It felt that the room was not taken care of for a while. Also the room is noisy not from the street but from the hallway.

We enjoyed our stay at the Gladstone. Our room was spotless with a comfortable bed and crisp white linens. We were there to attend a wedding. It was well organized, the wait staff was pleasant, attentive and efficient. We especially enjoyed using the antique elevator, complete with an operator.

There was a disgusting ball of hair in my shower. I had to call twice before it was cleaned. When I checked into a second room, I found hair in bathroom floors. Need to do better job of cleaning. Treadmill was broken. Rooms are WAY too small. But friendly staff.

A chic update to a historic property, in a quite walkable area. Our room was small but well decorated and very nice for the price. AC was effective The large window was closable with a remote, though it didn't stay very dark come the morning. You will hear and feel the GO train every few minutes, but we didn't find it difficult to sleep through. You may find it awkward to eat if you bring food back to the room, as there's no eating area. Hallway noise was quite noticeable. We did encounter a house centipede but that's par for the course in a building this old. Outside the room, the staff were very friendly! The vintage elevator is manually controlled and doesn't always have an attendant ready, so you may need to ask to use it.

The hotel is a lovely style and communal facilities are excellent with lovely cafe/bar, library, games room, free coffee from Nespresso machine. Our stay was part of a longer break though and we really struggled in our room as there was very little surface or storage space. Really difficult putting toiletries out and getting ready. Coffee table surface was also tiny. We were also on the front of the building and it was extremely noisy. Windows are single glazed and it is very, very loud - earplugs are an absolute must.

The Gladstone is great. The rooms are all unique and the dining options right out on Queen West are rich and varied. You don’t hear much sound from outside, but you can definitely hear what’s up in the hallways and adjacent rooms.

Dropped off our overnight bag a day earlier. Front desk was helpful. VIP perk needed to be prompted which was not ideal with how late we got in that evening. However the team did bring it up when prompted. Don’t put anything up on the bench because the bricks will get dust all over everything you lean against the wall. The hotel is a particular design spot so it delivers on that. For example the elevator is fun and historic but we had trouble getting into the door and it was a trek to get support. If this is what you’re looking for, it does deliver on the style aspect.

What we enjoyed about the property it was lose to the event we went too. The only problem we found after checking out and went to the parking lot where we were told to on Miniwan Miikaan Lane. when checked out and went to my vehicle I got a ticket on my windshield. I took the ticket back to the hotel and I was happy that the front desk said they would take care of it.

The concierge/front desk person was extremely rude. She loudly spoke about how she quit so I believe she just did not care about being polite/caring about customer experience. She ignores the text line so i had to go downstairs where she met me with an attitude. During check in and check out she was also extremely rude. I believe since she was quitting she simply did not care. Otherwise the stay was overall nice. The room is clean and its a nice hotel. The street is loud so beware. You will hear it.

As many Toronto hotels were exorbitant during the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, we were looking for a non airport alternative. There were pros and cons. The pros were that it was not too far from downtown Toronto, it was clean, AC/ heating worked well, we received a free upgrade to a king size bed, people were so friendly, there was a Starbucks literally 2 minute walk and it has an Amazing vintage Elevator! We arrived 9 PM on a Friday night only to be told that the bar was closed and the other restaurant was closed for a private event. There was no closet in the rooms. Definitely DO NOT have a room facing Queen Street. It was loud throughout the night and both nights AND the steetcars run less than 30 feet from the front of the Hotel all night. The shower has an open glass 1/2 divide and thus the towel you place next to it will be totally saturated with water. It was a quaint boutique hotel with pool table on the 3rd floor. People really are nice. However, due to the noise and street car, sleeping quality was very poor. In summary, good choice but never sleep in room facing Queen Street !!

Nice hotel in an independent / quirky area of Toronto. Good rooms and amenities. Downside is it’s a little further out of the city proper from the tourist attractions, with Toronto Streetcars taking a while to reach the hotel.

This was definitely one of our favorite places to stay on our trip to Canada. The hotel is in the Little Portugal neighborhood, and it was a little loud at night. That’s really my only criticism! It was easy to walk to shops and restaurants, but the restaurant in the hotel was really good as well. The bartender and host staff were very kind and helpful. And our room, which we booked a corner King, was absolutely beautiful. It’s an old hotel, but has been beautifully renovated and decorated still keeping its old world charm. We would definitely return!

Very cute place to stay. Elevator is is a classic. Went to concert at Budweiser stage and was walking distance. Thirty minute walk. Transit service right outside hotel as well. Check in was very easy and workers were very polite. Would stay again!

The price for parking is unacceptable for the price you pay for the room. Just have a coffee station that offers reg coffee instead of fancy machine. It would be nice to have water bottles in room. The gentleman at check-in was very helpful.

A funky boutique hotel in downtown Toronto. It was easy to get to by public transit. We stayed one night and would definitely return. Staff was friendly. We stopped in the bar for a drink before heading out for dinner. Great happy hour prices. We also had breakfast at the restaurant the next morning. Good food and reasonably priced. The hotel has an old elevator that is worth experiencing. Neighborhood has lots of restaurants and bars so good nightlife. Highly recommend.

It was very convenient for where we wanted to go. The only issue is that both Saturday and Sunday they had events on so the bar/restaurant wasn't open. ( there was nothing stated in the booking that said they tend to have weddings and bookings almost every Saturday. It was also awkward going through the lobby both days as there were people at the event crowding the lobby. The front desk was great. When we had our room tidied they never emptied out our garbage. All in all a nice hotel but probably wouldn't stay on the weekend because of event functions.

I used to love it here and stay here all the time. The brunch used to be amazing, I would even come when I wasn't a guest. It was clear from check-in that everything has changed and the food is completely difference, it has gone down in value. In addition, I was not awarded my hotels.com gold/VIP benefits when I checked in, it wasn't even acknowledge. What a shame. I know they have new owners now so I assume this is a large part of the changes...

Really loved this classy and unique hotel within walking distance to Budweiser stage. Food, drink, and decorations all great. Only issues were gnats in dining room and having to get an elevator operator every time going up.
