Hotel Orchidee

Ich war bereits das zweite Mal Gast in diesem wunderbaren Hotel, hatte dieses Mal allerdings auch das Frühstück gebucht. Die netten Betreiber sprechen neben Niederländisch, Französisch und Englisch auch Deutsch, sind nett und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und komfortabel, es gibt auch einen Kühlschrank im Bad. Man kann um die Ecke kostenlos parken. Das Frühstück ist großartig, man bekommt auch Pancakes und Omeletts, Croissants und Gebäck. Direkt zwischen Brügge und Gent (mit Bahnhof) gelegen ist Aalter ein prima Ort zum Erkunden Flanderns.

Quickest check in and check out ever! Very efficient. Bar at hotel and several restaurants within a few minutes walk at the nice town square. Breakfast ok, some warm selection diy style. Rooms very large, quiet. Parking free, just outside, large but fills up. Charging stations available. Easy access from highway. Recommend for short stay.

Extremely friendly and accommodating service was a hallmark. There was also a fantastic breakfast. Each day we got new towels and beds made and room cleaned while we ate breakfast. We could hardly expect more. Our nine days at the hotel enabled us to explore western Flanders, as there was much to explore within easy driving distance of the hotel, and there was a good charging station for our EV on the hotel's parking lot. Everything we needed for a great vacation.

Hotel is easy to find from the E40. There is parking outside the hotel. This is limited to 3hrs and you need to display a parking plaquette. There is free parking over the otherside of the road on some waste ground. Check in was quick. Room was nice. Bed was huge. There was a kettle and a small fridge in the room. Our room faced the front, but with window closed we couldn't hear anything. There was a wedding reception on at the hotel when we arrived. Couldn't hear that either. Aircon in the room was nice. Bathroom was a little tired. Parts look new. Shower was waterfall shower head. This is fixed and quite high up with no attachments. Somewhat difficult if you have long hair. The water is soft and pressure wasn't great. Supposedly eco friendly but I spent over double the time I'd usually spend washing my hair as it took ages to get enough water to rinse the shampoo out. Very frustrating, and very style over practical use. Not having height adjustable also very irritating if you are short. Breakfast was good. The fresh bread and rolls were delicious. Get there early and there are small pastries too. Fresh fruit is tinned. Lots of cheeses, meat salmon to choose from. Lactose free options for yoghurts. Pancake maker, boil your own eggs, cook your own omlette. Hot dog sausages. The town centre is a few mins walk away, varied selection of restaurants and fast food/take away options. Railway station is 20min walk. There's a small supermarket in town too.

It is in perfect spot to visit Gent and Brugge if you have a car. Absolutely great breakfast choices. Excellent Belgian beer selection in the bar.

Ein gut geführtes Hotel mit netten Angestellten. Das Zimmer war praktisch eingerichtet, ordentlich und sauber. Das Frühstück ließ niemanden hungrig den Tag beginnen.

The Bed Mattresses and cousins were primitive, it was very very soft and keep fallen from bed, I had to sleep on the floor and use the blankets as beds on the floor. It was the worse sleeping night. They should change the beds mattresses and cousins.

Very quick check in, large room with all the needed amenities, lovely rainfall shower. Comfortable bed. Pillows a bit small compared to what I’m use to at home in UK but more of them in the cupboard

It is only 2 minutes drive from the main motorway between Dunkirk and Antwerp. So it is very convenient. The restaurants in the town square are 4 minutes walk from the hotel and they offer an excellent menu.The bedroom windows have the normal heavy curtains but in addition they also have electric operated shutters that ensures a quiet night's sleep. Breakfast was really good.

Goed betaalbaar hotel met voldoende parkeerplekken. De kamers zijn iets achterhaald maar voor de prijs is het prima. Alleen zit het pal naast een begraafplaats. Als je aan die kant zit kun je het ook zien vanuit de raam.

La douche ne possède pas de pommeau, très difficile pour se laver complètement et les femmes sont obligés de mettre un bonnet pour ne pas se mouiller les cheveux puisque la douche tombe seulement en PLUIE. LE FRIGO est un jouet et très petit. Le matelas dans notre chambre était très mou , donc quand un bouge l'autre saute .La chambre est spacieuse et le petit déjeuner est très bien et abondant. Le personnel a l'accueil est très gentil et très serviable. A 100 m il y a plusieurs restaurants et un Delhaize et un Carrefour a peine a 5 minutes en voiture.

It was so easy to walk to the train station and back or to shops from the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and a lot of variety to choose from. The staff were always available and happy to help. I would highly recommend this place!

Hotel soweit in Ordnung. Leider war der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sehr unfreundlich und das Frühstück nicht gut und überteuert.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. It’s a little far from Bruge City but as we had a car it was easy to get to. The hotel provided us with the parking permit free of charge. Pleasant stay.

Helt fint hotel, hvor man får hvad man betaler for, nemlig et sted at overnatte når man er på farten, og som er pænt og rent. Morgenmaden er direkte kedelig og bære tydligt præg af at det ikke er her man lægger kræfterne.

A very pleasant place to stay. We have returned and found the same experience as the first time. There is a splendid breakfast that is well worth the extra cost.

Breakfast was terrible. They would not permit you to preview what was being offered. You pay before being allowed into the breakfast area. People who are OK with high-calorie foods would welcome this place.

Prima gelegen, net buiten centrum. Alle uitvalswegen direct te berijken. Prima kamers en zeer uitgebreid ontbijt. Dat zit niet in prijs van de overnachtingen, maar was het geld meer dan waard. En niet te vergeten, aardig en snel reagerend personeel.
