The property is under construction currently, it does need upgrades. The parking garage was crowded but there is an extra lot in front of the building. There’s ice in the first floor only, the bathrooms near the pool were the portable type. They were always out of pool towels, I saw very few people during my stay and the towels bin was empty. Bring your own towels. If the hotel keeps its prices after the construction is done I would book again, they have a variety of pools and several jacuzzi. The property is easy to navigate, the rooms were very clean. It’s a good hotel to stay if you have kids.

It was super kid friendly and this was my daughter’s first beach trip and it stormed the whole time and we still were able to enjoy the indoor pools. I would revisit this resort just because of these things even considering the renovations going on making it be limited parking.

Very nice hotel. Check in was a breeze. The hotel was under construction but it wasnt a bother but for about an hour. We stayed on the 9th floor, oceanfront and had excellent views. We loved the indoor lazy river, pool and hot tub. Price was good for this time of year. We parked on the deck, went to the elevator and it came out right in front of our room. Very convenient. Great location to walk downtown. Will definitely return.

I loved the amenities and fun things to do for the kids. We had a great time in the hot tub as well as the kids enjoyed the lazy river and pools. However, the pictures depict more upgrades than there actually were. Granted, they are in the process of renovating but the entire hotel including showers, lamps, and balcony furniture were outdated. The entire facility needs a deep cleaning.

The hotel is kind of run down. I believe it was damaged in the tornado. There is no breakfast buffet or bowling as advertised. Otherwise the stay was good. Geeat beach access, fun pools to accommodate all ages and pool times until 11pm.

After spending a crazy amount, we walked out after only been there a few minutes. From the moment we got to the hotel, it was horrible. Everything was dirty. Room was nasty. Damages. No air conditioner. I went to the front desk and requested a refund, and they said they would not offer a refund. So we just left and booked another hotel. I also reached out to Expedia, they tried to support, but the hotel manager denied their request as well. Expedia customer service was great, but the hotel was absolutely horrendous!

It was absolutely horrible. Dirt/crud in the bathroom. The floor looked like it had not been cleaned in some time. When we arrived we had to wipe of the kitchen table ourselves. The pictures make this place look nicer than it actually is. Very disappointed, will NEVER be back.

Highly recommend staying elsewhere. The room hasn't been vacuumed in years. The hallways are littered with trash. The pool is cloudy and dirty. Many of the pools were not working as advertised. Check-in takes forever, there was 1 lady that was very nice and the rest literally HATED being there. That's not even to mention that the hotel was an adult version of spring break. Loud music blaring, over-crowded pools, trash left everywhere. You get what you pay for at this hotel...complete trash

We fought with the sliding door more times then I can count, even when we had a maintenance man come fix it. The AC unit was obnoxiously loud and impossible to fall asleep to. Are stay was for 9 nights and on our 4th day we asked to have housekeeping come in and clean our room, the manager said she would put us on the list, but they never showed. Don’t be fooled by the pictures online. The place is still under construction.

Ocean front , 15th floor up high , best views we had in Myrtle beach . Loved everything about it and wished didn’t have to leave . If I had one issue is that the resort provided shampoo but no bodywash which really surprised us because we never been anywhere that didn’t provide it . If I can get those high views of beach life every time I’ll gladly come back . Also be warned too when you check in , and finished , you get a bit caught off guard as you get directed to another person who wishes to set you up with timeshare and book you an appointment to go meet up with someone for around 90 minutes. This was something my wife and I didn’t like and didn’t come for and put a blemish in our trip as we felt pressured into it .

Room did not have running hot water, when we talked to the front desk all she said was in Jamaica we don’t take showers with hot water, and that we had to talk to the 3rd party we booked through. Expedia refunded us for the inconvenience which cancelled the reservation. Front desk claimed we weren’t supposed to stay but nothing was ever told to us. Decent stay for the money but just won’t stay due to this type of headache

My hubby and I enjoyed so much we didn't want to return to VA! The people there were all nice and friendly! The food was good! The staff was AMAZING! Spencer and Rhonda were very helpful and handled any questions or needs we had! Looking forward to coming there again next year around this time! KUDOS to Captain's Quarters Resort for making Myrtle Beach, South Carolina feel just like home to us❤️🙏!

For starters, the resort is under construction, every single floor!! Very loud, dusty & concrete chunks everywhere. Zero customer service. They don’t bring clean wash towels daily, when we requested them, took over an hour to get them delivered. Key cards de-magnetized 4 times in 3 days. Could not get in the garage or the room without parking & walking to another building for the temporary check in area, to get new cards. The bowling alley is no longer there. The restaurant that was on floor nine is not there. The Loco gecko is only open on weekends. Check-in was an absolute nightmare 45 minutes. I will never stay at this resort again. I’ve been coming to Myrtle Beach for 30 years and this was by far one of my worst experiences zero out of 10 would not recommend.

Tv remote control did not work so I tried to call the from desk and the phone would not call the front desk so I walked down to the front desk and waited 20 minutes for someone to talk to because no one was at the counter, when someone finally came to the desk they told me that they didn’t have extra remote controls so they told us that a Guy from maintenance would come to our room to solve the situation and he never showed up very unprofessional and a big waste of my time

The room was nice, once we actually got in one after traveling 13 hours and then standing in the lobby for over 35 minutes for them to figure out our room situation and make sure it was ready for us. My card was charged for unknown reason but they did refund me which I got 3 days after the fact which was reasonable.
The room was nice, once we actually got in one after traveling 13 hours and then standing in the lobby for over 35 minutes for them to figure out our room situation and make sure it was ready for us. My card was charged for unknown reason but they did refund me which I got 3 days after the fact which was reasonable.

While standing in the lobby waiting we realized how dirty the lobby was and could only imagine how the rooms were kept if the first thing you see was that dirty. Also doing construction on the facility. Tried to call to cancel my reservation and spent 2 times over a hour on hold waiting. Just gave up at that point. Would not recommend for the dollar they charge

I loved our week at Captain's Quarters. Very clean, relaxing, nice pools and spas. Lots to do all around. Oceanfront view. Only steps to the beach. The staff was nice but displaced because of construction so maybe stressed. The only problem I had was they should let you know up front that it's $12 a night for parking, so an extra $84!!

The property is ideal for families, the multiple indoor and outdoor pools made it so it was never too cramped. The hotel was still under construction which made it look unwelcoming, and the hallways/rooms are pretty dated but at least mostly clean. Location wise it was an 40 minute walk down to the skywheel and the popular restaurants/attractions, other than family kingdom which was a 10 minute walk. Overall it was a great stay and we would love to come back when the hotel is finished with the renovations.

We loved the indoor lazy river, pool and hot tub. Price was good for this time of year. We parked on the deck, went to the elevator and it came out right in front of our room. Very convenient. Great location to walk downtown. Will definitely return.

Stay was awesome! Check in was nice and easy. Was aware of the $150 USD deposit expected at time of check in and the money was released the same day I checked out. Staff was friendly. Pools were clean and pool towels was always available. Overall it was a very nice trip and this is a nice property. Central to everything, you would want to do!

Nastazia at the front lobby is amazing!! Professional and welcoming! The building is in need of maintenance and upgrade. The beach area and pool area are great. Breakfast on 9th floor is very good! The best sausage links, ever and a beautiful view of the ocean!!! The bathroom is very narrow/small and the door won't close all the way. Extremely uncomfortable pull-out couch!! Not the worst, but certainly not worth the asking price!

For starters, the resort is under construction, every single floor!! Very loud, dusty & concrete chunks everywhere. Zero customer service. They don’t bring clean wash towels daily, when we requested them, took over an hour to get them delivered. Key cards de-magnetized 4 times in 3 days. Could not get in the garage or the room without parking & walking to another building for the temporary check in area, to get new cards. The bowling alley is no longer there. The restaurant that was on floor nine is not there. The Loco gecko is only open on weekends. Check-in was an absolute nightmare 45 minutes. I will never stay at this resort again. I’ve been coming to Myrtle Beach for 30 years and this was by far one of my worst experiences zero out of 10 would not recommend.

I liked the view and how there are multiple pools. My kids enjoyed the lazy river and the pools. The beach water was nice and warm but unfortunately we were not warned about jelly fish presence and my daughter got stung very bad in both legs as it wrapped around her leg. I won’t be surprised if box jelly fish appears there because the marks my poor child got were massive.She was in pain for two hours as she still healing from it. Apparently the day before a whole family got stung as well. I did not like how the resort didn’t have food service by the pools, it can definitely use one.

Check in wait was long only had two people working . The hotel is not worth the money ! Carpet stink . Only two of the hot tubs work ! Room was ok my oven was dirty with oven cleaner left inside. When I asked for it to be cleaned took 3 hrs. They did ask me did I want a new stove . But I would be able to receive it till 10 pm ! I told her that’s too late and I have a 6 month old baby . And I breastfeed around that time . She told me to leave the room ! She had to be drunk or high to tell me something like that! The house keeper manager Brittany is very nasty ! And has a smart mouth ! The room was not cleaned properly! Tub was dirty and the remotes to the tv didn’t work ! The pool are was ok . Pool bar only stayed open for bout an hr of the day ! No activities for the kids . I would not recommend this hotel ! They definitely need new management! Family had several rooms and they all had an issues with them . The biggest issue is how u check a couple into a room that’s already occupied!! That was the biggest mistake! We going back to our room the couple coming out! SO UNSAFE !

The hotel is kind of run down. I believe it was damaged in the tornado. There is no breakfast buffet or bowling as advertised. Otherwise the stay was good. Geeat beach access, fun pools to accommodate all ages and pool times until 11pm.

Bar was nice and the pool at the property was good. the Hula fire dance was also pretty good. However, food choices not very good, couldnt charge my room for drinks, no room service and the hotel was being painted, renovated so it was dirty. Also, being a holiday weekend and bike week the hotel and front desk was complete chaos the entire weekend.

The room had 4 charging outlets that were broke, the sliding glass door didnt close/lock. There were multiple occasion walking down hallways where all you could smell was marijuana. The breakfast is a continental breakfast that they charge way too much for. Ans parking in the garage will also cost you an additional price.

Check in process was smooth. Rooms were clean but the bed was hard as a brick. Not comfortable at all. Once you come in the room there is a bed with a tv (weird setup but I get the concept). The tv in that room was bigger and more up to date than the tv in the main section of the room. Staff was friendly. We had a great view of the beach. The jets were not working properly in the hot tubs and it looked as though they needed a good thorough cleaning (along with the pools). There was no A/C in the elevators which made it unbearably hot. I don’t think I’ll be returning for a visit.

It says on the website it was renovated. The rooms are horrible. Bathrooms worse. Stayed 3 days and house keeping came the day we were leaving. The water cut off for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. I went to the front desk because I didnt know and the older lady was rude about it, claiming they didn't know and it would only be about 45 min later. I paid a lot of money and should be able to shower and use the bathroom. They knew , and could have sent out a mass message or something. There is NO bowling alley, repeat no bowling alley. Don't believe everything on the site. Won't be going back again. Felt like I was deceived from the site.
