Great work out room and pool

i found the pool area needs some ventalation my eyes were burning from the chlorene

Over all good experience but limited parking for over height vehicles.

Excellent place, even the rooms not directly facing the water have great views. Kayak rentals are very limited, if you want one make sure to book it ahead of time at the desk. Would be good if they had a few more.

The property itself is okay, but I left with very mixed feelings about the staff and the breakfast service. First, in the pool and restaurant area, there is a manager whose behavior did not feel up to the standards of a North American hotel. For example, each evening at 5 p.m. he would walk in, close all the curtains around the indoor pool (because it is adjacent to the dining area), and do so without any explanation. When we tried reopening them because it was uncomfortable swimming with all curtains closed, he returned immediately, closed them again, and told us rudely “there is a rule at 5 o’clock!” He also walked around the pool area in shoes, which felt very inappropriate for hygiene Breakfast was another big disappointment. The kitchen was not able to keep up with demand, and every morning there were long delays that left guests frustrated. Staff in the restaurant were kind though. The property design also has a serious flaw: there is only one elevator in each of the side wings, which creates long waits and a lot of inconvenience, especially during busy times. Finally, at check-in I requested to upgrade to a better room and even offered to pay more. Instead of trying to help, the receptionist dismissed the request and, at one point, sarcastically said “nice try,” implying I wasn’t being truthful. This felt unprofessional and inappropriate. Overall, the hotel itself has potential, but I strongly believe the staff would benefit from better training in hospitality!

We stayed in a one-bedroom waterfront room (end unit in the east wing), which had a balcony with a table and chairs. The suite was very spacious (big bedroom and big primary bathroom) and having an extra hall bathroom was great. Parking is underground and easy but if you return later at night, finding a spot can be tricky. My husband found one spot left at 7 p.m. when the hotel was fully booked. The water view from the room was gorgeous but since we had the end unit, we also had a view of the neighboring RV park. Be aware that the doors to the rooms on the upper floors in the east and west wings (not sure about the tower) are outside (we were on the 3rd floor) so the walkways can get wet and we occasionally smelled the cooking smells from the restaurant below. The hotel is in walking distance from several great restaurants so we didn't eat at the hotel restaurant. We didn't interact with the staff much but check-in/check-out was easy. You can inform the front desk if you don't want/need room service, which would been helpful to know when we checked in to avoid the stack of cards left by housekeeping. Great stay and would stay there again.

Excellent front desk service. Wonderful food in the dining room, although at luxury hotel prices. Beautiful quiet beach location. Only real disppointments were a noisy air conditioning system in the room and an older (non-smart) model of TV so couldn’t stream Netflix etc. As an EV driver I was impressed they had a number of free-to-use chargers.

Room was spotless. Staff very courteous & genuinely helpful. Enjoyed our dinner in the Club’s restaurant- menu was not large but nice offerings and food was good. Drew was an excellent waiter. Enjoyed the gym & indoor pool.

This was lovely from start to finish! Fantastic location, as you can step outside and be immediately on the boardwalk that borders the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was underground, with plenty of free plug ins for electric vehicles. Our room had a big balcony with seating - overlooking the parking lot (next time I will pay the small amount more and get a room on the other side of the facility overlooking the beach). I will definitely be back because this was a great vacation spot!

Great location. Very busy. More parking probably required. Underground was full with limited other options.

Dirty and noisy

This review is based on my overnight stay, my review is slightly biased as I beleive this is more of an extended stay kind of spot. We arrived late (9pm I beleive) and left right at check out, so my review is mainly on the staff, the bed comfort, the cleanliness and the parking. Staff were friendly, however didn't really explain how to get to my room. They had told us we were in the tower, but that meant very little to us as we've never been there before. Special shout out however to the Aussie guy (I think, based on his accent) In the parking garage who not only helped up find the correct elevator (there's 3) but also gave us a heads up on a much better parking spot that was closer to our elevator, vs the one we were in originally which was quite literally the furthest spot we could have been from the elevator. The room comfort was okay.. The beds werent anything to crazy, just a standard bed and a good enough place to rest your head. Cleanliness, I was a bit taken back by the lack cleanliness in the bathroom. There was stains on the sink and urine stains on the underside of the toilet seat as well as behind the toilet seat on the porcelain, the rest of the room was clean, but the bathroom was a bit concerning. Overall, I gave it 4 stars as I cant really form much of an opinion based on my 1 night stay.

Room was amazing. Overlooking the ocean from main room and bedroom. Spotless in every way.

Great place, stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Toilet was dirty and the floor had footprints from previous guests. Beautiful place and location.

Beautiful waterfront property. For some odd reason housekeeping claimed they couldn’t enter our room and chose not to enter the room. Our room in same condition when we returned hours later , bed unmade.

Found a trinket under the bed from previous occupants but otherwise everything was really lovely, we will be back!

Clean room in good condition as were the common areas, overall it is a top notch hotel. And I always like it when a hotel has blue bins/containers in the rooms for recyclables, which my room had.

We enjoyed an oceanfront one bedroom unit with a kitchen. Beautiful views from the balcony and very peaceful location. Really enjoyed the beach. This property could easily be a 5 if more money and attention was given to property maintenance. During our week visit I had to wipe the kitchen floor because it was filthy, our microwave broke, the toaster didn't work, the toilet plugged and the shower didn't drain properly. You don't expect to be dealing with these issues for the nightly rate you are paying.

The room and view were great. The noise from the above room was annoying and the mattress was not good. Staff was friendly and courteous.

View from room is fabulous! Great location and facilities. Room is starting to become worn but still in good condition. Soundproofing is limited but it was not that bothersome since we are in low season. TV and cable package is very dated and needs updating, Not a smart TV; no streaming capabilities; and limited tv channels using old cable interface.

We had a one bedroom ocean view and it was perfect! Super spacious, amazing views, comfy king bed, large bathroom with a lovely soaker tub. We’ll be back for sure!

Ocean view was superb from our 7 th floor suite. All aspects were excellent with the one exception being the noise at night from the kitchen exhaust fans if the windows were open for ventilation as we were moved away from the fans to the 7th floor tower for our second night. Did not use the resort restaurant as there were several excellent ones well within a short walk.

Nice hotel with a mix of suites and standard two-bed rooms. Good place to stay when visiting the Qualicum Beach/Parksville area. Caution though: Beds are not queen-sized as advertised and are too soft without good support. Standard rooms aren't much better than other 3-star hotels with two-beds. Stayed in a standard room which was located in the tower. Was given a room on the top-most floor, but unfortunately it was room #904 which did is one of the units which don't have a balcony facing the water. The room has two beds. Advertised as 'Queens', these are more like 'Doubles' as my wife and I were shoulder to shoulder. The beds are super-soft in a bad way as I had hip pain from sleeping in a sagging way for two nights.

The room was in adverage condition and was quite small. More hotel than resort. Tiny TV, tiny kitchen area that was just a corner of the bedroom. Worked fine as a hotel.

We had a suite with a gorgeous view of the boardwalk and water. The room was massive with everything you could want. Great balcony with two entrances, spacious living area, fireplace, bathroom and a half, full kitchen, etc etc. we are very seasoned travelers and not easily impressed. We were very impressed. Highly recommended.

Room was very small, too narrow to pull chair out from desk. Too narrow to pass between desk chair and bed. Was asked immediately upon check in to upgrade to a larger room for a price. Heat/AC unit extremely loud. Would not stay here again.

Excellent location and great check-in staff. The hotel could do with some updates. For example, the mattress sloped into the middle.The drapes left several inches between them when fully closed. Fixing both of these would greatly improve sleep experience. Otherwise a good stay.

The 'first' room assigned was #309 with the LOUDEST HEAT PUMP I have ever heard in a relatively tight, small room...... the NOISE level was so bad, there was no way to sleep EVER.... Maintenance attended immediately to advise that this is a 'standard' issue - no other rooms available..so the only way to sleep was to turn OFF the heat>> ? Next day, we moved to a better room!

Front desk staff were very pleasant, inviting, and professional. Hotel and room were very clean and pleasant. We will definitely return.

Staff are so genuine, helpful, and friendly. We brought a lady with significant disabilities, and staff immediately suggested we try their Mobi Beach Wheelchair (belongs to City of Parksville, but stored at hotel). Amazing experience! Will definitely be back!

The lady at front desk is very rude

We had a comfortable stay. And I forgot the name of the front staff lady (so sorry*) who helped check in/out but exceptional service. She kindly gave my daughter a goodie bag when mentioned it was my 7 yyear old birthday

The property is wonderful and once there the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a mixup with my booking and ended up double booking. The woman on the phone was annoyed with me and wasn’t willing to help which was frustrating, but it all worked out in the end. I would stay here again but hopefully with no glitches when I book on line.

Excellent room with a great view. Staff very welcoming and free valet parking. Restaurant was excellent great food and service at a reasonable price. Only sorry we couldn’t spend longer here.

The staff was very accommodating and helpful, the rooms well cared for, and the beach location wonderful for a family vacation. Lots of beach gear on loan, as well. The kiddies loved the nearby community park playground. Our one big disappointment was the restaurant. Although the host and waitstaff were very friendly, the dinner service from the kitchen was extremely slow, the food was mediocre, and the prices reflective of a higher calibre of fare. I sincerely hope the kitchen will pull up its socks as it’s dragging the rest of the resort down.

Our stay was amazing. Highly recommend anybody wanting to stay in Parksville. The beach was just outside the hotel with many food options and attractions within 10 mins drive.

Hotel was modern, clean, direct access to the beach and boardwalk, walkable to shopping and restaurants.

Comfortable rooms with stunning views. The suites are perfect for family trips and the hotel is just steps away from the Parksville Community Park. Friendly staff!

Location is the best. You are steps away from the board walk and beach. Highly checking the low tide at night with a flashlight or lantern.

We stayed here for a night for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time! The view from our walk-out ocean front suite was incredible, and we were allowed a later check out in the morning to enjoy our room with tasty room service breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel had great amenities, the staff was welcoming and friendly and our rooms were clean and comfortable. We liked the location and really enjoyed walking along the boardwalk and then having time in the pool and hot tub. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant as well. I'd definitely stay here again!

Another amazing stay at the Beach Club Resort. This was our 3rd time staying here and it was better than ever. We love the ocean front suites and studios for the view and ocean front decks perfect for relaxing and watching the tides go in and out. Our room was perfect and the staff amazing from check in to dining to house keeping. As for the dining itself the food was even more fabulous than previous stays. The quality and selection and value for money was outstanding. We stayed for a week this time and ended up eating 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners and a lunch all on the patio and in the dining room because the food was so fantastic. The location can't be beat for walking and exploring and then heading out for driving day trips as well in the area. Love this place and we will return again in the future.

We were excited for the pool and hot tub, but they were always filled with lots of kids. We made reservations at the fine dining restaurant to celebrate my husband's promotion and the food was horrible we sent it back and went somewhere else. But the hotel was nice to stay, I would never recommend that restaurant though ever!

Great location and an ocean view is wonderful. They provide lots of charging stations for electric vehicles in their underground parking lot at no charge. Food is average - the ceviche was salty, salmon overcooked and the pavlova was just meringue. The hash browns at breakfast was tasteless.

Everything was excellent. We had the dinner in a pod, and it was a great meal and experience.

On site restaurant was handy and great, best chicken burger I ever had.
