Stayed 7 nights

Weeklong stay in a second floor king suite. But halfway into our stay a U13 Hockey team from Burnaby BC descended on the hotel for a conditioning camp and commandeered all the common areas: the recreation/pool room, gazebos, playground, picnic tables, seating areas, everything. They took over the grounds for drills, left dirty, sweaty, stinking equipment in common patio areas, left garbage around and had no respect for other guests. Balls, Frisbees and other objects were thrown back a forth from adjoining balconies, footballs tossed next to guests seated outside their rooms. The screaming and yelling of the kids was anything but relaxing. Despite numerous complaints by us and others to the front desk, the coaches and parents were ignorant to the concerns and this disruption continued, not only to checkout time on Sunday, but past that time while many waited for ferry connections. Hotel management let this chaos occur, and let a team take over hotel common areas at the expense of other paying guests. On top of the hockey team disruption, we had to charge the bedside LED lamp, a piece of metal fell off a wall light while we watched TV, and in the middle of a shower the water flow stopped. The staff said "they are working on it", but no notice to guests. If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful getaway, or if you want well maintained accommodation with water when you shower, or if you expect some service from the hotel staff or management, avoid this hotel at all costs.

A wonderful place to stay. The room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful and you cannot go wrong with that ocean view.

Great location right on the beach with lots withing walking distance, tastefully updated. The Sauna should be easier to use for one night stays though you have to book it ages in advance and it's not obvious when booking the hotel it seems to be seperately ran.

This property has been updated and the owners have meticulously thought of their guests. The grounds overlook the beach, you walk out directly to a grassy area which then leads to a beautiful beach. They have a coffee machine on the common area that is upscale and the bathrooms have been updated and beds are comfortable. The people at the front desk were very friendly.
