Wow, Casa de la Vina exceeded our expectations and it was the best choice we made when planning our trip to downtown Santa Barbara. The property was very clean, new & well-maintained. We reserved one of the largest units and it was so spacious: 2 King en suites joined by a kitchen, dining and living area + laundry room + private patio. The place came fully equipped with everything you needed and more. The location was only a couple blocks from the main downtown area so we were able to walk to State Street in ~6 minutes. There was a downtown Farmers Market on Tuesday which was fun to walk around & shop. We ended up bringing and back impromptu food/vegetables that we were able to cook bc of how well-equipped the kitchen was. The property was quiet and peaceful, with convenient parking (+ electric charging stations) and even a large rooftop terrace. The offsite staff was very responsive & helpful leading up to and during the stay. The check-in/check-out process and keyless entry was smooth & hassle-free. Excellent overall experience and I would definitely recommend & return in the future. Appreciate how well thought-out & how well run this property is!

We stayed for a Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night. The hotel is a couple blocks off of the main drag, which was perfect. We were on the ground floor, but it was very quiet. Parking was included, which was appreciated. Although the room was small, it was thoughtfully laid out. It had a small kitchenette and a closet that actually had enough hangers. I thought it was very considerate that they included face wipes and tar wipes for your feet. Our room was on the ground level, but there was nobody above us. We were able to park the car directly in front of our room. Some of the other rooms have a little tables outside along the stream that runs behind the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed a long weekend getaway at this property. The property was within walking distance to restaurants/ shops and we had no issue with parking. The rooftop deck was nice for a glass of wine, playing cards or just enjoying the scenery. Communication before our stay was easy and received prompt responses. Our only negative comment is that unit 11 is sandwiched in between two cleaning stations which were used daily from 10-11 am til 2-3 pm. It’s not very relaxing to see cleaning products/washer dryer when entering and exiting your unit. The noise wasn’t bad. Also, unit 11 had no windows that allowed you to see the outside - the door has windows but all frosted (probably to block cleaning crew activity). This might not bother you and I thought I would not care when I booked this unit but it did. There is a sky light so the unit isn’t lacking light. We would definitely stay at this property again but in a different unit like unit 13 which is upstairs and has a small but nice balcony.

Lovely property. Quiet neighborhood, yet close to State Street, shops, restaurants, wharf, etc. Our room was well appointed, and beds were very comfortable. We also had washer/dryer and kitchen which made our stay convenient. And we loved the rooftop seating! Only slight complaint is that living room furniture was not very comfortable for our movie night (couch and chairs are small, don't have headrests and are not oriented toward TV). But we made it work. We enjoyed our stay!

This is a beautiful new property. The rooms are stylish and clean. If you are looking for a place to just sleep, this hotel is perfect (no pool, spa or restaurant). After hours, there is no one from the office who picks up the phone so make sure that you get all your questions answered during the day.

This is a lovely, recently remodeled hotel. The capacious studio room was outstanding. It was cleverly partitioned into a livingroom area, a kitchen/dining area and king bedroom area. The king bed was very comfortable. I think it was topped with a memory foam mattress. All spotlessly clean. A couple chairs and a table were found in both the living and dining areas. The kitchen was adequately stocked with plates, bowls, cups for our breakfast, which we ate in each morning. The State Street retail/restaurant area was lively, and an easy walk of just a few blocks for our dinners. Easy parking on-site. There is a rooftop lounging area, so make sure you locate those stairs and go up with a bottle of wine to savor the sunset. Lots of comfortable lounging chairs and tables up there. Easy on-site parking. Even though there is no front desk, room entry was easy with a combination. Cell phone communication with the hosts was easy and they are attentive to questions and concerns. We definitely will stay here again!

Place was nice and clean. Parking was no problem. Amenities were more than I expected which is awesome! Th room was a little damp. You can feel it on the bed and comforter. If they’d left the room temperature to 78 ish this would definitely a 5 start rating

I wish I could give 4.5 or 4.75 stars … lovely place overall but I was surprised that there were slippers available but no robes (they said they were looking to provide them in the future), there was a fridge but no freezer (and no freezer onsite anywhere) and the humidity in the room was such that my clothes were damp and towels did not air dry in the 2 days I was there. Super easy walk to State Street, Funk Zone, etc. Bed was comfortable and the linens were quite nice. Skylight had retracting shades. Furnishings and decor were very classy - it appears they didn’t skimp which is so nice! All in all a really great stay, but perhaps some kinks to still iron out.

I travel to Santa Barbara on business for a few days three or four times a year. This is the best place I’ve found to stay so far. Very clean, modern with cooking facilities. Well located for both State Street and the freeway. Bed is comfortable, shower is good and WiFi works. No reception, you are given a code to get into your room prior to arrival, but the team are very quick to respond to e-mail. Can’t fault this place.

Room was above and beyond. Management thought of everything, even down to the “Tar Wipes”! We’ve been to the beaches before and experienced the difficulty getting that off your feet. The esthetic of the room was well thought out and welcoming. We were impressed and will definitely return.

Very nice and modern room! Easy to check in and out and they were very responsive! Also very close to state street, we took the train and were able to walk to everything! I would definitely stay here again!

This is an apt hotel. It has the space and comforts you need while on the road. The room we were in had a full kitchen which was great to have a meal or two so you don’t need to always need to be in restaurants

Great location, you can walk to most things you’d want to do in town. Interior was clean. Bed was nice but quite firm. Rainfall showerhead was enjoyable. The room itself was triangular and a bit cramped. I think it would be tight for two people. Parking garage was also cramped. I had a small SUV snd still had to inch back and forth several times to get in/out of spots. Hot water takes a long time to come on. Aside from that though, it is pretty nice and convenient. I’d probably stay here again.

Our long weekend stay was great. We like how modern the property was and it has the vibe of an Airbnb in terms of the keyless entry to our unit. We did have a slight hiccup getting into our unit but we managed to get in and the number we called was very helpful in resetting the code which fixed the problem.

We ended up bringing and back impromptu food/vegetables that we were able to cook bc of how well-equipped the kitchen was. The property was quiet and peaceful, with convenient parking (+ electric charging stations) and even a large rooftop terrace. The offsite staff was very responsive & helpful leading up to and during the stay. The check-in/check-out process and keyless entry was smooth & hassle-free. Excellent overall experience and I would definitely recommend & return in the future. Appreciate how well thought-out & how well run this property is!

This is a beautiful new property. The rooms are stylish and clean. If you are looking for a place to just sleep, this hotel is perfect (no pool, spa or restaurant). After hours, there is no one from the office who picks up the phone so make sure that you get all your questions answered during the day.

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights and we enjoyed our stay. We stayed in one of the ground units and I was concerned at first there would be a lot of street noise, but that was not a problem at all (it was really quiet). We had a couple questions and requests during our stay and Casa De La Vina was very responsive. We were able to easily walk to a nearby cafe and State Street was a 5 min walk away. Our friends had a gift basket delivered to our unit and they said Casa De La Vina was great to work with to ensure the gift basket was waiting for us when we arrived. Overall, it was a nice time!

I travel to Santa Barbara on business for a few days three or four times a year. This is the best place I’ve found to stay so far. Very clean, modern with cooking facilities. Well located for both State Street and the freeway. Bed is comfortable, shower is good and WiFi works. No reception, you are given a code to get into your room prior to arrival, but the team are very quick to respond to e-mail. Can’t fault this place.

Pleasantly surprised at these recently remodeled/renovated apartments The staff replied promptly by text with any inquiries the kitchen had all the amenities for two people, a Nespresso machine with plenty of pods, microwave, refrigerator, ironing, board slippers, hairdryer, toothbrush, and eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner, hand, lotion, dish, soap, etc., etc.…. Everything was in great working order. Pet friendly! Beautiful decor and fixtures

Easy check in, however, The entrance to your room is a code. The system network can go down and you won’t be able to get in. We did have to wait for sometime to get access but the phone concierge helped us get access with a physical key instead of a code. Probably the most Airbnb like place with great services. We stayed in the room with its own kitchen and large bathroom. It was so nice, clean and modern.

Wow, Casa de la Vina exceeded our expectations and it was the best choice we made when planning our trip to downtown Santa Barbara. The property was very clean, new & well-maintained. We reserved one of the largest units and it was so spacious: 2 King en suites joined by a kitchen, dining and living area + laundry room + private patio. The place came fully equipped with everything you needed and more. The location was only a couple blocks from the main downtown area so we were able to walk to State Street in ~6 minutes. Great location. Completely renovated. Since we didn’t have a car it would of been nice to have a bell desk to check our luggage at, but we appreciated that they accommodated our request for early check in so we could stow our bags. Would recommend.

Good spot off 2 blocks off State Street, quiet, nice walk, bikes close by, free parking. Very clean, great little kitchen, bed comfy, bathroom clean with plenty off towels and accoutrements. Secure area. Multilevel areas for pictures and rooftop for end of day relaxation. No pool. Will be back again.

WOW! My husband I shared here and it was amazing!! It was SO close to downtown and the beach. Not to mention how clean and bright the room was! This is a five star stay for sure!

Great stay for the Santa Barbara half marathon last weekend. Bed was super comfortable and the location was perfect for a quick walk to the race. Kitchen is super convenient for those with a longer stay, although we opted to explore and eat out this time. Would definitely stay again!

This is a lovely, recently remodeled hotel. The capacious studio room was outstanding. It was cleverly partitioned into a livingroom area, a kitchen/dining area and king bedroom area. The king bed was very comfortable. I think it was topped with a memory foam mattress. All spotlessly clean. A couple chairs and a table were found in both the living and dining areas. The kitchen was adequately stocked with plates, bowls, cups for our breakfast, which we ate in each morning. The State Street retail/restaurant area was lively, and an easy walk of just a few blocks for our dinners. Easy parking on-site. There is a rooftop lounging area, so make sure you locate those stairs and go up with a bottle of wine to savor the sunset. Lots of comfortable lounging chairs and tables up there. Easy on-site parking. Even though there is no front desk, room entry was easy with a combination. Cell phone communication with the hosts was easy and they are attentive to questions and concerns. We definitely will stay here again!
