We were greeted with “Welcome Home” at the Jamaica Inn on arrival and that’s how we felt our entire stay! This is a special place where you can feel the effort that is being made in making everyone, guests and staff, feel like part of family. The place is gorgeous beyond words, and there is a relaxing calm vibe. The food was incredible and there were excellent activities offered (rum tasting, trip to the farmer‘s market, baby sea turtle hatching). And then just spontaneous moments of joy mixed in, like watching a croquet game with Ashalene at Teddy’s bar or Carter singing at the piano at night. We had an incredible vacation and will definitely be back!

As a vegetarian, the room service menu was very limited. I ate the same meal for the 3 days I was there. The room I had was not 5*. Leaking roof in living area when it rained, stained shower screen and wash basin surround and fridge door. For the price, these things should be in better condition. The staff are excellent and the spa has an amazing choice of treatments. 10/10 for peace and tranquility

Beautiful property with a natural beach. We were lucky enough to get to watch the baby sea turtle hatchlings make their first journey to the water. Amazing! Picturesque views from the rooms. Nice restaurant, easy paddleboard/kayak access and amazing beach. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. Great hotel!!!

Tremendous hospitality and food and service. We decided against all-inclusive pricing and that was a big savings. We still enjoyed so many of the amenities including croquet, beach, sailing 2x (both on the Sunfish and on the Hobie Cat 14' - both free of charge!) and a daily free cocktail at the beach provided a sense of generosity and fun that really added to the trip. A word of caution: outside the resort after dark can be dangerous. Use the Hotel Driver to get to outside restaurants. Don't walk - even nearby.

5 Stars – Pure Bliss at the Jamaican Inn! My husband and I had the most incredible stay at the Jamaican Inn. From start to finish, everything was flawless. The staff made us feel like family—so warm, friendly, and they even remembered our names throughout the stay. It truly made us feel special. Huge thanks to Asha and Patrick, the amazing beach bartenders, who kept the drinks cold and the vibes high. Asha went above and beyond by teaching us how to play croquet, which ended up being one of our favorite memories! And Albert was always there to set up our beach chairs with care every day. The food was absolutely phenomenal, and the live band in the evenings added the perfect touch of island magic. The whole atmosphere was relaxed and elegant—just what we were looking for. One of the highlights of the trip was the spa. I was greeted by the lovely Marcia with a refreshing lemongrass ginger juice, then treated to an unforgettable deep tissue massage by Danntistia—she truly has the hands of an angel. The spa overlooks the ocean, and hearing the waves during the treatment brought me to such a peaceful, relaxed state. Housekeeping was wonderful—so kind and thoughtful, and our room was always immaculate. We left feeling completely refreshed and already can’t wait to return. Jamaican Inn is truly a slice of paradise!

Your "step back in time" experience starts with the elegant Kingsley and other staff at the front desk and continues with the efficient and warm hospitality, housekeeping, beach attendants, spa and maintenance staff. They go about their business discreetly but are happy to engage with guests to enquire about your experience. Many little touches - e.g. complimentary rum punches and afternoon tea, cocktails on the terrace, weekly beach barbecue, musical entertainment, a weekly screening of Bond movies on the beach (complete with popcorn), nice toiletries, nightly treats left by the turn-down staff - contribute to enhancing the overall experience. The gardens are well-maintained and gorgeous. Although some rooms are in need of refurbishment, the furniture and amenities and the fabulous sea and beach views from your terrace more than compensate for any minor faults. We had a wonderful time and can't recommend the Jamaica Inn highly enough for anyone wishing to unwind, unplug and be pampered for awhile. Go!

This hotel is a different world, and one of the few places where they have every detail down perfectly. The service could not be better, and if you’ve been to Jamaica previously and seen the sights, there simply is no reason to leave the hotel grounds. We especially like Cottages 3 and 4, but have not stayed in a bad room yet. The private beach is perfect, as is the beach bar (“Teddy’s”). Croquet, anyone? Please don’t forget to pack your whites. The kitchen runs smoothly, and the menu is varied. Don’t worry about tiny portions or unidentifiable goop, or being served some type of “foam” as a dish, these people cook real Caribbean fare to please their guests, without Jonesing for a Michelin star.

My adult daughter and I went to the Jamaica Inn for a quick 4 night getaway. What makes this resort is the staff and the beach. Ash Quade and William at the beach bar were so friendly and entertaining. The spa was wonderful. Marica was very helpful in assisting us in spa offerings. Azeeza gave a great massage and my daughter enjoyed her facial with Kenneth. The beach was gorgeous. We enjoyed paddle boarding. It is a quiet resort. Most of the visitors were British and retirees. The Jamaica Inn is a classic old school boutique resort. It was a nice relaxing vacation.

We loved this property. It’s quiet, clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is quiet, trees for shade, and the water is warm and inviting. It’s an older property that took us back in time. We had a beach front room with a nice veranda. Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, which is what made it perfect. Amazing sunset!!!

I loved everything about this property! The people were amazing. They all seemed happy to be there. The breakfast was so yummy. The room was well maintained and the little treats and notes that they gave offer such a personal touch. I’ve already started recommending to my friends and family. Looking forward to visiting again

I had an amazing time at the Jamaica Inn and was thoroughly pleased with the property, staff, and amenities available. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet hideaway resort - this place is it!! The property was super clean, access to the private beach was amazing, and all the food was very good. I have been to Jamaica multiple times and this resort is definitely on the top of my list. I will certainly be back the next time I come to Ocho Rios. Kudos to the staff for making my visit exceed my expectations.

The hotel‘s setting is absolutely perfect. From our verandah we walked past an immaculate croquet lawn straight on to the beach. Staff were professional and friendly. The GM runs a tight ship.

The property is great and the staff is super friendly, I could not ask for more. However, the rooms need a bit of modernization including a TV and/or cable service. I also feel the staff should be allowed to dress down a bit (bermudas/shorts and tropical shirts), it is hot and humid and I feel their service will not suffer if this change is made.

They go about their business discreetly but are happy to engage with guests to enquire about your experience. Many little touches - e.g. complimentary rum punches and afternoon tea, cocktails on the terrace, weekly beach barbecue, musical entertainment, a weekly screening of Bond movies on the beach (complete with popcorn), nice toiletries, nightly treats left by the turn-down staff - contribute to enhancing the overall experience. The gardens are well-maintained and gorgeous. Although some rooms are in need of refurbishment, the furniture and amenities and the fabulous sea and beach views from your terrace more than compensate for any minor faults. This hotel is a different world, and one of the few places where they have every detail down perfectly. The service could not be better, and if you’ve been to Jamaica previously and seen the sights, there simply is no reason to leave the hotel grounds. We especially like Cottages 3 and 4, but have not stayed in a bad room yet. The private beach is perfect, as is the beach bar (“Teddy’s”). Croquet, anyone? Please don’t forget to pack your whites. The kitchen runs smoothly, and the menu is varied. Don’t worry about tiny portions or unidentifiable goop, or being served some type of “foam” as a dish, these people cook real Caribbean fare to please their guests, without Jonesing for a Michelin star.

Our stay was amazing! We couldn't have ask for a better experience. The setting is truly beautiful and everyone who works there is positive, friendly and welcoming. 5 Stars – Pure Bliss at the Jamaican Inn! My husband and I had the most incredible stay at the Jamaican Inn. From start to finish, everything was flawless. The staff made us feel like family—so warm, friendly, and they even remembered our names throughout the stay. It truly made us feel special. Huge thanks to Asha and Patrick, the amazing beach bartenders, who kept the drinks cold and the vibes high. Asha went above and beyond by teaching us how to play croquet, which ended up being one of our favorite memories! And Albert was always there to set up our beach chairs with care every day. The food was absolutely phenomenal, and the live band in the evenings added the perfect touch of island magic. The whole atmosphere was relaxed and elegant—just what we were looking for. One of the highlights of the trip was the spa. I was greeted by the lovely Marcia with a refreshing lemongrass ginger juice, then treated to an unforgettable deep tissue massage by Danntistia—she truly has the hands of an angel. The spa overlooks the ocean, and hearing the waves during the treatment brought me to such a peaceful, relaxed state. Housekeeping was wonderful—so kind and thoughtful, and our room was always immaculate. We left feeling completely refreshed and already can’t wait to return. Jamaican Inn is truly a slice of paradise!

Beautiful property with a natural beach. We were lucky enough to get to watch the baby sea turtle hatchlings make their first journey to the water. Amazing! Picturesque views from the rooms. Nice restaurant, easy paddleboard/kayak access and amazing beach. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. Great hotel!!!

I can't say enough about how outstanding our trip was. This place is magical and it's all because of the beautiful people who work there. Their first words to you upon arrival are, "Welcome home" and they mean that. My husband and I were married on the beach while we were there and they made all our dreams come true. We can't wait to go back.

I had an amazing time at the Jamaica Inn and was thoroughly pleased with the property, staff, and amenities available. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet hideaway resort - this place is it!! The property was super clean, access to the private beach was amazing, and all the food was very good. I have been to Jamaica multiple times and this resort is definitely on the top of my list. I will certainly be back the next time I come to Ocho Rios. Kudos to the staff for making my visit exceed my expectations.

Breathtaking beach. Lovely staff. Great gift shop. Enjoyed the Jamaican breakfast when offered, lunch on the beach and high tea. The owners were also lovely and very attentive. I was looking for peace, relaxation and to get away from the noise and found it in this slice of paradise.

Staff very welcoming and helpful. Kingsley, especially, was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. Room was very clean and inviting, great seating area on the balcony. Breakfast was plentiful and dinner delicious. I enjoyed my stay immensely.
Staff very welcoming and helpful. Kingsley, especially, was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. Room was very clean and inviting, great seating area on the balcony. Breakfast was plentiful and dinner delicious. I enjoyed my stay immensely.

Jamaica Inn is an excellent beachfront property. It is in Ocho Rios about 2 hours’ drive from the Montego Bay airport. Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. It had a wonderful balcony facing the Ocean. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The beach was sandy and pristine. We had a wonderful time on the beach. We had a problem with hot water in the shower of our room. We waited and waited with the shower running but no hot water. Sometimes the hot water would start and in the middle of the shower it would turn cold. After complaining for 3 days in a row the problem was fixed. We had Booked the room through Expedia with breakfast included; however, the breakfast menu did not specify what part of the menu is included in our breakfast plan and what part is not included. So often we ended up paying upwards of $ 40/- for breakfast. The restaurants for breakfast, lunch and Dinners were out in the open air with a decent menu. The food was very good, ambience was excellent and the live musicians were fabulous. During our stay, we found out that various celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Sir Winston Churchill, Ian Flemming etc. have stayed at Jamaica Inn. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and we would most certainly return.

The Jamaica Inn is a one of a kind property. They don't make them like this anymore! It is not a chain. It is not a plastic duplicate of way too many other resorts out there that are constantly in our faces. It is a magical place with beautiful, lush grounds, friendly, accommodating staff, and the charm of yesteryear. The lovely verandas, professional staff, and beautiful beach & grounds will definitely keep me coming back. The cocktail hour and buffet on the beach were truly memorable.
