◦ Abundance of jellyfish in the ocean, no matter which side you chose. Our whole family was stung on multiple parts of our bodies every single day along with others visiting ◦ Elevator wait times was horrible especially during dinner and check out times. One elevator was broken out of the 3 our whole 8 day stay ◦ General beach area one umbrella for every 20 lounge chairs ◦ Staff was a hit or miss ◦ Room service took more then 50minutes so we cancelled ◦ Game room isn’t that big for the amount of kids that are there ◦ Not enough entertainment shows one per night. The entertainment airing area was very small for the amount of people there ◦ Pools closed at 5pm when there is a sign says swim at your own risk without a lifeguard and they put chemicals in the pools at 6pm ◦ You can only make dinner reservations two days prior ◦ A lot of locals visiting on day passes ◦ A tremendous amount of kids and teens running around without adult supervision at night ◦ Game room closed at 11pm ◦ Resort credit is a scam. We were only allowed to use the resort credits on specific items in the gift shop. Amazing stay at Moon Palace Resort. From the momen we arrived, we were greeted and welcomed and it was refreshing after a nearly 2 hour bus ride from the aiport. Check-in was easy, and smooth and everything was clearly communicated to us. The food options were abundant and everything we had was very tasty. Our room was clean, and well stocked, not to mention the amazing ocean view. The beach was also very clean, and lots of space to relax and enjoy. All amenities, services and not to forget the attentive staff were great! A wonferful experience and will definitely be coming back for future visits!

This place was awesome!!! Great property, great service, great all inclusive activities like kayaking, min catamarans , paddle boarding, water tricycles, ect ect ect . Water slide a ton of pools. Dauphin enclosure u can play and swim with dolphins at on site .. u name it they have and not much of the activity’s cost extra except the dolphins and excursions of course.. 24 hr room service, bottles of booze in room as well as a stocked fridge. Food was amazing in all restaurants and beach stands . If you don’t book here your making a mistake if your paying anywhere near the same price elsewhere.

Really enjoyed the spa, which is very expensive if you pay cash but a good way to use up some resort credits. Check-in took hours as the room wasn’t ready and there was a separate step to “activate resort credits”, which was basically an attempt to get us to attend a sales presentation. The extra bed was not delivered until midnight, after multiple calls and walking to the front desk twice.

Alot of the staff werenot approachable but those that were were very friendly... although they had entertainment. I found it to be very boring. They do have a nightclub but when I was told it was 18 and older and being that I’m 40 and over, I didn’t even waste my time walking in the door.

Stayed in the cabana building and the room was great. Food was what you’d expect at an all-inclusive. Pool staff was great- very attentive and friendly. Did not like the fact that every morning all the pool chairs had towels or other items on them by 0600. No one would show up to sit in them for HOURS. Resort staff needs to eliminate this. I wouldn’t return to this resort based on this alone.

Just got back from this wonderful hotel. We spent 9 days here and we loved it. Yes there was a couple of things that took it down a bit for us but posetives definetly outweighed that. -the music by the pools were way to high all afternoons for us who wanted to relax. We took the pool furthest away from the music but it did not help unfortunately. -the pools were beutiful at first glance but when looking closer the tiles are starting to fall of at some places. +the food was really good in all restaurants. And the cafe made really good lattes, frappes and milkshakes. +we had a ocean wiew room without balcony and the wiew was amazing. We sat there watching the ocean and the cruiseships a lot. +the beach was beautiful +the check in process was nice and the personell helped us get our room as fast as possible since we arrived a bit early. +the service was really good everywhere and everyone was really helpful but We would like to point out our biggest stars among the staff.

Water from pipe was smelly not sure why it had a sewage scent. Room before my upgrade was not properly cleaned and pillows smelled moldy. Food was delicious the best hotel food ever had. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Entertainment was 💯 the best every night started at 9-10 well done for the participants. Lidia and Monique from management team was very accommodating. Viola from housekeeping was very nice and helpful, Tyrik at pool bar made the best hummingbird drink. Jermaine, we bow down to you for decorating our room so super beautiful for our anniversary celebration, you did it with fine style clap clap you are a treasure employee moon palace is lucky to have you.

Room was clean and bathroom as well. Happy they have tiles and not carpet. Beautiful ocean view and we really enjoyed the pool! I would definitely return as the staff members were exceptional especially Rolando at Check in and Dahjae at the Momo restaurant. The VIP option with late check out option was a big plus too

Check in was insane. Waited in line for 30 min to be told to come back when room ready and stand back inline for another 30 to get the room assignment. Once at the room it was a king bed when double requested and floors were dirty. It was the last room at the exit of the floor. It had bad energy. We had to be moved to another room.

Overall we had a great stay! The hotel is in the middle of the city and Friday and Saturday night we heard loud music until 2:30 am from a night club, and we were on the 11th floor. Made it hard for us to sleep those nights. Other than that, it was great.

We paid for the upgrade we received $1,300 for the vip section of the hotel on the first floor beach walk out with patio and hammock.. this room had no air conditioning they worked on it until about 1 am. 1st day wasted on moving from room to room and slept in 82degrees. Second day we finally got moved 3 doors down. The temp was 72 and kept climbing into the day. They worked on it until midnight same guys same issues as the other room. Slept in 82 degrees again. Finally got moved again the 3rd day to a new room 3rd floor lost beach access and hammock… price still the same of course. But we did have air. In these moves we moved ourselves twice and they moved us twice. We had to go to public relations every time they never came to us until Hensley got involved. She was the last person we had to deal with. She communicated well. She verified that the room had air before we were moved there and she had our luggage’s moved. We agreed on free couples massage 50 min and 2 days of the upgrade money back. After all of the moving we were finally able to start our vacation on the 3rd day. They were more concerned with the palace presentation for travel than our comfort. The place was outdated and not worth what we paid. The crowd there is a more party crowd not our vibe we went to relax which is why we paid extra to be on the quiet side of the resort. We will not stay at this facility again.

Jamaica is truly a paradise. The hotel is pretty but the rooms are a tad small and a bit rundown. Still, it is a beautiful hotel with nice staff andany places to eat and relax. There where shows and activities but not all day long; they would last an average of an hour and that's it. Food was good and had a bunch of varieties. The Indian food at the sundeck and the jerk chicken where the best. If they could play de music a bit higher during the day or have more fun entertainment during the day, it would be nicer. But overall we loved it.

The room that was advertised as "Deluxe Resort View" was not the room we were assigned to. The pictures showed a room with a balcony that was able to fit a table and chair, but we were given a room with a French balcony, barely able to fit a person, and the view was of the hotel parking lot.

Just got back from this wonderful hotel. We spent 9 days here and we loved it. Yes there was a couple of things that took it down a bit for us but posetives definetly outweighed that. -the music by the pools were way to high all afternoons for us who wanted to relax. We took the pool furthest away from the music but it did not help unfortunately. -the pools were beutiful at first glance but when looking closer the tiles are starting to fall of at some places. +the food was really good in all restaurants. And the cafe made really good lattes, frappes and milkshakes. +we had a ocean wiew room without balcony and the wiew was amazing. We sat there watching the ocean and the cruiseships a lot. +the beach was beautiful +the check in process was nice and the personell helped us get our room as fast as possible since we arrived a bit early. +the service was really good everywhere and everyone was really helpful but We would like to point out our biggest stars among the staff.

It shouldn't take an hour to check in and then another hour to check out. Although they offered late check out it wasn't available. That seem to be the theme for whole trip. What offered was never available. Restaurants on the property were always booked expected for the buffet. The buffet was probably the best to eat. I was disappointed with this resort and wont return .

My stay has been nothing short of amazing! We were celebrating my mom's birthday and she enjoyed every moment. Upon checking in, i was visibly extremely tired and flustered, but Yaneak at customer service ensured that i was taken care of. My reservation had a minor hiccup, but she took care of everything with a smile and demonstrated real patience and empathy. Yaneak is the epitome of customer service, because she took ownership of issues i was experiencing and in turn gave me a superb experience. Gabby from public relations was such a sweetheart as well for calling Expedia and ensuring all was well with my second booking. Geovanni and Aldra from the Buccaneer buffet were so kind and attentive, they gave us true 5 star dining experience with a smile each time they stopped at our tables. Ainseleta, was our pool server, and i can't say enough about her. My toddler niece was well fed including us! She made sure we had everything we wanted and consistently checked in on us. Lovelee, our spa concierge was so helpful in getting our treatments booked, she even got us earlier slots on a short minutes notice! Our therapists Ann-marie, Tommie and Sofie did such a excellent job for me, my sister and mom. Me and my mom were so relaxed, we fell into a deep sleep! Finally, Jamal went above and beyond in decorating the rooms and the spa area to surprise my mom with treats! Every person we came in contact with, went above and beyond and they always end their service with "it's a pleasure!"

Overall, we had a average to bad experience during this stay. It seems like such a commercial operation where they are trying to nickel and dime us at every step. When we checked in, they offered us an upgrade to the room for an additional 500$ which we took. They didn' tell us that our original room was ready and this new upgraded room was not and we had to wait for 3 hours with a toddler after traveling for 8 hours, for the room to get ready. At every restaurant the service was so marginal. The servers were literally rolling their eyes for simple requests. They would start off as soon as we sat down, with telling us what was not available in the menu. Which usually would be the most popular/best dish in the menu. SO most of the menu items that were available were like, bagged salad veggies, the frozen to deep fired breaded stuff, fries etc, which we were sick of after day 2. They said we had 750$ of resort credit, but its actually just a way to get you to spend more. You cant actually use that for any of the services until you spend way more than 750$. Even at the gift store, a tote bag is 175$ and you have to pay 15% fee if you use resort credit. Plus the usual marketing strategy of trying to get you to attend a session to sell time shares at promotional breakfast, trying to get you to buy 250$ for future visit at check out. The funniest thing was during checkout they spent 15 mins to figure out if we stole a ceramaic soap dispenser or if there never was one in the room!

We stayed 5 days, 4 nights and everything was top notch. My only critique would be that the rules around the resort credits are confusing/vague. Staff was incredible, amenities were perfect, and the food was delicious. The spa was phenomenal and the Piano Bar is a true hidden gem in the resort. Shoutouts to Yaneak for an amazing check in experience, Caillou for his delightful bartending service, Chris (aka Slim Shady) at Pier 8 was wonderful at making out first night special, Felecia our concierge was so attentive as was Keosha our pre-arrival booking agent who setup all our transports, excursions and spa experience. Anthony, our hibachi chef at Momo was a true highlight and last, but certainly not least Cragen the pianist in the Piano Bar was hands down our favorite entertainment of the trip! We look forward to being back and bringing the family next time!

Amazing all inclusive resort and good fun for all ages. Friendly staff and great food and drinks. Special shoutout to Keelah and Nicole for being flexible on last minute requests. The pools were clean and i did not find abhorrent levels of chlorine pools from other trips. Only problem is that the staff selling the timeshare are very pushy. But thats a nuisance for 2 hours. Otherwise it is a great place for vacation.

This hotel stay was fabulous. The staff were super friendly and joyful in their approach. This was a contrast to other hotels ive been to. The hotel itself was top. Definitely a step up to the Rui in Ochi, but not ar Sandals level. We ate at the 4 a la cartes and they were all great. Our fave was the Asian. Great shows and bars. There is too much good stuff I can say. A special shout out to Faith on check-in, she was an absolute star and role model.

We are very dissatisfied with our stay. We were constantly bombarded by staff walking through the lobby for every reason imaginable. “What’s your room number, do you have this, have you booked this.” We started avoiding the lobby walking anywhere. The resort credit is very specific it can only be used on sunglasses and sun hats. When we arrived, we are on our honeymoon, got into our room, and were getting re”acquainted”. 1st knock- we forgot to but this bag in the room, tried again, 2nd knock, we forgot to put your wine in the room, 3rd knock, this one they took it upon themselves to just walk into the room- not kidding, they just came right in. 4th they came in with a chocolate peanut crunch bar. What should be noted is- when I came in I shared my allergies with 3 people to note it our room etc. I am highly allergic. My husband had a bite. And put it away as he can’t eat it around me. Honestly. Being constantly asked to spend money on everything. And all the hassle. It’s not worth it. Go to anywhere else. I have sent an email, stating all this and more, that has still not been address Also. Going to meet with the membership people(yep we got sucked into the membership) we get a free gift for going- it’s not worth it. Just say no. It’s one more thing on this property they want you to spend money on. Don’t go.

My family and I loved Moon Palace!! The food was soooo good. The staff was extremely nice. The other guests were nice as well. We loved that everything was right at the resort and we didn't have to wander off. There was always something to do no matter what time of day or night. My only two complaints were the distance from the airport and the fact that the drinks weren't particularly strong (not that I wanted to be drunk but a nice buzz would've sufficed). My family and I will DEFINITELY be back in the near future and I've already recommended the resort to others.

Upon arrival, check in time was at 3pm. When we arrived at 3:15pm on shuttle with other passengers we were notified our room was not ready, since check in time was at 3pm. There were other customers that arrived hours before us still waiting in their rooms as well. Secondly, we continually had to ask for new towels and for room service to come and clean our room daily. The food options were limited and they always ran out of food hours before it was time to close restaurants. Depending on the day the staff is very rude. Resort credits were not very useful and easy to use, it’s cheaper to book excursions through local tour companies. On a good note, I did like the location. It is located right in the middle of Ochos Rios. It is gated and protected. Great beach views and nice pools and gym. It was an ok experience for my first time visiting Jamaica, but I will definitely be looking at the Sandals Resort a few minutes away for my next stay.

Located perfectly on the most beautiful spot in Ocho Rios. Short walk or drive from major touristic attractions . We Loved the hotel spaces . Food options were vast and the restaurants were amazing . Everything super clean and the staff was so so nice and helpful always . Only issue - shower dispensers for shampoo and conditioner were terrible , had to resolve to use my mini ones because they would not work , and there was no body wash. Thank you for a lovely stay

Overall we had a great stay! The hotel is in the middle of the city and Friday and Saturday night we heard loud music until 2:30 am from a night club, and we were on the 11th floor. Made it hard for us to sleep those nights. Other than that, it was great.

The Moon Palace has good facilities, and you’re always guaranteed a nice time. However, the standards have dropped considerably, and the resort could really do with a facelift. On the 10th floor of the North Block, there was paint droppings all over the carpet, which gave a run-down feel. In my room, the ceiling vent was left open — it took until the next day for someone to come and check it, even though I raised the issue twice with reception. It was unsettling, as I genuinely worried someone had climbed through. Housekeeping requests can also take until the following day to be fulfilled, which is not acceptable for a resort of this standard. The food is another major disappointment. Quality is inconsistent — sometimes overly salty, too fried or dry, and at other times tasteless. Dishes run out quickly, with trays often empty within the first half hour of opening and not replenished promptly. For several days, the resort ran out of oxtail and curry goat, which was very disappointing when visiting Jamaica. Even small things, like the waffle machine only making four waffles at a time, add to the frustration. Management really needs to observe the dining experience firsthand, as it falls well below expectations. I have visited the resort three times since 2021, but unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning.

It was unsettling, as I genuinely worried someone had climbed through. Housekeeping requests can also take until the following day to be fulfilled, which is not acceptable for a resort of this standard. The food is another major disappointment. Quality is inconsistent — sometimes overly salty, too fried or dry, and at other times tasteless. Dishes run out quickly, with trays often empty within the first half hour of opening and not replenished promptly. For several days, the resort ran out of oxtail and curry goat, which was very disappointing when visiting Jamaica. Even small things, like the waffle machine only making four waffles at a time, add to the frustration. Management really needs to observe the dining experience firsthand, as it falls well below expectations. I have visited the resort three times since 2021, but unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning.

This place was awesome!!! Great property, great service, great all inclusive activities like kayaking, min catamarans , paddle boarding, water tricycles, ect ect ect . Water slide a ton of pools. Dauphin enclosure u can play and swim with dolphins at on site .. u name it they have and not much of the activity’s cost extra except the dolphins and excursions of course.. 24 hr room service, bottles of booze in room as well as a stocked fridge. Food was amazing in all restaurants and beach stands . If you don’t book here your making a mistake if your paying anywhere near the same price elsewhere.

Top tier customer service, clean room and facilities. The food was the only let down. We wanted authentic jamaican food, it was bland and tasteless and a disrespect to the jamaican culture. All the other cuisines were represented good and tasted authentic

The hotel and hotel grounds did represent a five star resort. The only complaints is the mattresses aren’t that comfortable unless you prefer a firm mattress. Also, the specialty restaurant aren’t good. The biggest lack was food not tasting good especially in comparison to the Hyatt ziva/zilara. Room service breakfast however was really good,

The food was disappointing and lacked authentic Jamaican dishes. The entertainment was honestly the worst I’ve ever experienced, and we’ve stayed at several resorts in Jamaica. The hotel felt quiet, dull, and lacked the fun island vibes we’re used to. Overall, it just didn’t deliver the lively, flavorful Jamaican experience we expected.

The staff is great! Starting with the gate attendant, the majority of the staff we encountered were welcoming, courteous and accommodating. We also had an amazing time at the spa. One of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had. My masseuse, Lee, was GREAT! We enjoyed the dining at Pier8 and Gondola. Buffet was ok…someone in the kitchen there loves black pepper a bit too much. Momo is ok…not stellar. The Cafe treats were a hit.
