Couples Sans Souci

The property is very beautiful and clean. The downfall for us was the lack of food options and entertainment at the resort. Seemed that they focused a lot of their attention at the sunset beach. The resort seemed dead. No entertainment at the pool or beach any time of the day. Also no nightly entertainment. The only buffet option is at breakfast. The rest of the meals is off a menu and if you don't like whats on the menu then your out of luck. Wont be returning for these reasons.

This is a very nice and quiet property. The food is really excellent, as is the service, even in the restaurant that doesn't require reservations. It has a nice adult / couples vibe. If you want to get into one of the premium restaurants, I suggest booking those reservations immediately on checking in. The gym is nice although overcrowded with equipment (about ten cardio machines); has good weight workout equipment but not the ideal amount of floor space or mats for us. The room was very comfortable. We walked into Ocho Rios because we like to walk, and there's a walking path part of the way but the first part requires walking in the shoulder of the road. There's some nice shopping in Ocho Rios. We really liked this resort and would definitely come here again.

One of the best all inclusive we’ve stayed at. When they say all inclusive it’s truly that. Tons of high quality activities are all included such as scuba diving, snorkelling and others. The food is very high end almost like a French bistro and we appreciated the no tipping culture.

This property is amazing, I always found a space that can only be me and my husband, the mineral grotto , the mineral pool, the watersport team was great, love the whole experience!!! They upgrade my room on arrival, the view from D209 Was amazing!! honored the VIP from Expedia

The resort is a tropical paradise unto itself, with lush flora and fauna. Water sports abound. Food was delicious, without exception. Service was superb. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay. The staff were absolutely incredible. They smiled all the time and were friendly and fun. Food was outstanding - we tried every restaurant and they were all great. Pools were wonderful and all the facilities were clean. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Property is beautiful with lots of beautiful views and activities every day. The beach area was beautiful and the bartenders were attentive. I would have preferred a tour, this was not suggested to us after we checked in. We were not able to access all the facilities. Some areas at night were extremely dark, I would have preferred more lights.

A small resort that is quiet, clean with professional staff all around. The aux natural beach was amazing; both my wife and I preferred that beach over the regular beach. There are two days during our stay where the restaurants are closed and dinner is served on the beach. We did not particularly enjoyed those evenings as this is a couples resort and the dinner implied having to sit at shared seating with other individuals. The entertainment would have been more appreciated if it would have concentrated on Jamaican culture rather than trying to incorporate American culture in the music. Overall a great experience and would definitely return in the future.

The property was very pretty. The rooms were very big but I just felt the entertainment was not that great and there was no music I expected to hear music be able to dance and it was none of that and I felt that the resort closed by 11 o’clock.

My 2nd visit, lovely stay but small things could be adjusted. The room was fantastic, modern, cozy, quiet. Property is clean, staff members at the pool could clean the water a bit more because we felt like we were floating surrounded by so many night dead bugs, feathers in the pool and overall the entertainment is “ok”. The only food that tasted in anyway flavorful was at the Casanova, I wish I had booked it every night. All of the other food especially lunch at the main buffet area is very plain/ bad. The food at the pool grill is also not nice and the service members seem to get distracted talking to each other so flies end up on the food as we watch it. The soup at the grill restaurant was always delicious and hearty. We would come get soup n leave since nothing else on the menu tasted nice.

We really enjoyed our vacation! The beach was beautiful, there was a lot to do, and the food was delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only downside was the rooms got extremely humid. There was no fan in the bathroom, and the floors were always wet.

Please clean up Sunset Beach so it is more walkable to get in the water.

We rate all the hotel staff 100%. We could not fault them at all. My partner suffered an injury at the end of our holiday and she was looked after by all. Everyone was caring and friendly. They could not do enough to help. She would like to thank everyone for their care and friendliness. The food was excellent, the meals we had in Casanova were the best we have ever eaten in an all inclusive hotel. It was fine dining at its best. Hotel, rooms and outdoor areas were spotlessly clean and well maintained.

place is great had a great time not to many people and no kids just adult fun and entertainment.Place was clean staff was great and views were wonderful, If there was one con I would say they need an electronic app to show you he events happening

Beautiful perfectly maintained grounds but lots of stairs. Could use more railings etc. Food staff and activities very nice.

Rooms are private, resort has a great relaxing atmosphere. Has great amenities such as a sauna which can be used at anytime. Best hot stone massages ever! Massage rooms were overlooking ocean with calming sounds of the water below. The ginger chocolate cake at the Bella Vista restaurant is absolutely divine! The duck dish was really good too. Cons. We had to ask for towels everywhere we went, at the sauna, at the beach, at the gym and they were never available. We had Expedia vip rewards however on check in this was not acknowledged until we went to enquire about our perks such as room upgrade, sparkling wine etc. We were told there was no upgrade rooms available as the hotel was full, we were told the wine would be delivered in a few hours, it didnt arrive until the next day after a few more reminders. It seemed we had to constantly remind the resort of our vip status and expected perks.When we got to the room it had a musty smell. There were no robes or slippers provided until we asked for these. Staff generally are not that friendly, they dont greet you on the resort grounds. It was disappointing that the restaurants didn’t offer much local cuisine such as jerk flavored items, oxtail and curry meats. Overall a good stay but would not return.

Beautiful property with lush greenery. Quiet peaceful resort with beautiful views. Room was spacious and bright and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of stairs but good for getting steps in.

Stunning property. Bed uncomfortable, with a very rough blanket and cover. No pool or beach service. Every staff member was friendly and wonderful. Loved Tuesday Jamaican night. Great water/ocean activities.

The grounds were beautiful, lots of places for photos, flowers, views, not a mega sized inclusive property, quiet with plenty to do. Had a mishap with air conditioning and sometimes the staff had slow response on requests and not aligned on late check out. Rendell was very nice at Bella Vista

I had the most incredible birthday weekend at San Souci Ocho Rios! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by my modern and spotless room—it was the perfect retreat. The beaches were absolutely stunning, and the dining options were simply fabulous! The warmth and kindness of the staff really made me feel right at home. To top it all off, the live music was a huge highlight, creating an electrifying atmosphere that I’ll never forget. What an unforgettable experience!

first trip for me and my husband alone since we had kids (our oldest is 6 years old) excellent resort, we booked the penthouse suite with the greatest balcony and good view (really worth the difference$) It was an amazing week, we loved our week. Very quiet resort, the service is amazing, super clean, we never had to fight for chairs on the beach or at the pool and there is always room at the restaurant. The only little negative point for me is that there is no music (or very low music) (restaurants/bars/pools (prude and au natural) so the ambiance is more on the quiet side, if ur looking for a place to party, not really the place… we had a very relaxing week …much needed! thank you

Our recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately far from what we expected, especially given the price point. Right from the start, things were off. When we arrived, there was no warm welcome or even a basic introduction to the amenities or layout of the facility. We were left to figure everything out on our own, which felt unprofessional and uninviting. The food at the hotel was another major letdown. The quality was poor, lacking both flavor and variety. Most meals felt like they came from a cafeteria rather than a resort. In terms of in-room amenities, the hotel only provided two small bottles of water and two local beers per day in the refrigerator. That’s it. For a hotel that presents itself as a premium destination, this felt incredibly stingy and inconvenient, especially in a hot climate where staying hydrated is important. We were so disappointed with the overall experience—poor food, lack of service, and subpar amenities—that we decided to cut our trip short and head home early. That says it all.

The staff goes to the next level to make your vacation a good one.

Loved everything except the mineral pool station where we were welcomed to have smoothies - not adequate variety of offered assortment of fruits nor veggies to make smoothies plus smoothies attendant not at station most of the time …instead in athletic shelter talking to fellow staff and returning to smoothie station around 4 pm to make smoothies for those staff members rather than be available on call for guests once lunch time was over. Poor performance, as well as spa personnel entering beach area seeking guests who canceled a spa appt. due to severe sun burn having to see nurse on premises and asking sought out guest why they did not show up when already personally met w/spa receptionist to cancel appt. Staff behavior such as that is disappointing and a turn off to want to return to spa in the future. The person that was exceptional and outstanding were: a Mr Luzcon Henry who impressively transferred a lawn dinner due to sudden torrential rain from lawn to Palazzina Rest. with great aplomb…gracious to all guests…making transfer with ease and care. Many besides my husband and I remarked how outstanding his performance was as guests felt looked after properly. Would make an outstanding General Manager a few of us believe and believe his Assistant who is as caring about guests, as he, is the woman who assists w/photography in the cafe…spot on …think her name is Chantel ….bright, polite, knowledgeable, helpful and refused to accept a tip from us after assisting us.

Absolutely outstanding!! 10/10 is an understatement. Couples Sans Souci far exceeded our expectations. We were so sad to see our trip end. The property, grounds, & beach are flawless. The entire staff, everyone was phenomenal. Superior service from every staff member we encountered. We’re already preparing for the next trip.

I didnt like how i was treated by staff

Couples San Souci is a beautiful, relaxing, & refreshing resort. On arrival at the gate, we liked the green foliage & bldg setup that allowed us to drop our shoulders & feel like we were about to begin our vacation. The front lobby staff was a little cold in their greetings & looked as if we were interrupting their ‘day!’ We just tried to overlook whatever was distracting them from greeting us & just asked the questions we needed answered. We would suggest giving the guests the full orientation via the in-room tv opposed to spending vacation time to attend to an orientation the next day. Also, if activities are not going to happen please advise the night before ~ I was looking forward to the Aqua aerobics that never happened. I waited at the mineral pool 20 mins before the start time. Asking staff about the class provided us with responses like ‘I’m sorry, I don’t know” 😳. I did enjoy the mineral pool and did my own exercises in the pool. CSS is a very serene, relaxing, & rejuvenating resort. Food will fit the international palette with hints of Jamaica & Caribbean dishes for all meals. Bob Marley is celebrated one of the nights, loved Panda at the Balloon Bar & the entertainment is lovely without being overbearing. Like many guests we will return & share our lovely experience at Couples San Souci!!

The property was BEAUTIFUL. Every staff member we encountered asked if we were ok and was extremely friendly. The food was amazing. Everything met my expectations. The hike up to the room was a killer after filling up my belly but that was my fault lol.

The property is breathtaking. It felt like at times, you were not even on a resort but on a tranquil island in the rain forest. I never would repeat resorts but I think we would highly consider going back to this one!

For 1, when I booked the trip the site only said "There are no elevators on this property." They never mentioned the 3 stories you had to climb to get to your room, or the 3 stories to the restaurants!! The entire property is a hilly maze. I felt sorry for 3 couples we saw that were actually handicapped.

Couples San Souci far exceeded our expectations. This is an extremely peaceful and beautiful property. They did a great job of spacing out buildings and services to make it feel as if we were the only ones there. There are tons of little nooks and crannies to find a relaxing hammock, a beautiful sunset patio, or a quiet place to rest. Food was excellent! All of it seemed top notch and great quality. My only negative….all inclusive drinks often lack variety, options, and quality. San Soucis drinks were okay, but not great. All in all, we would love to return!

The area around the buildings were beautifully landscaped with lots of nooks and crannies for small bars and services. Beautifully scenery with amazing plants. Great setting in a James Bond type bay

The property is beautiful. Very clean and well kept. The room was comfortable, well maintained and clean. The staff was excellent, everyone was friendly and ready to assist with any issues or questions you have. Every section of the resort had great staff, from the front desk to the restaurants and bars, everyone was friendly and genuinely helpful. my only drawback for this resort is the food choices. As a Jamaican resort they weren't a lot of Jamaican food choices. Food choices were limited and very repetitive.

First time at a Couples resort and we loved it. The food was great, the staff were welcoming, and the grounds are beautiful. We will definitely return in the future.

This was our first all inclusive experience and it left a little to be desired for us. We aren't huge drinkers so we were after quality and not quantity for the drinks but that seemed like the opposite most of the time at the resort, at best the drinks lacked consistency. We enjoyed our room and it's mini bar more than the other bars. The veggie bar was awesome and the grotto area was our favorite place to hang out. The New Years Eve party was fun and the room service was great.

Sadly we were very disappointed. For an all inclusive resort the choice of F&B was very limited, no stocked bar in the room, same selection of items at breakfast, lunch and dinner, limited options of bars and restaurants, a very weird system of having to book a table which was never available on the App, so we ended up dining at the same place the whole time. The one time we managed to book a table via the reception we were turned away because my husband was wearing smart shorts and not long pants (this is a resort!). Staff was rude and inconsiderate, uninterested. We couldn't enjoy a drink at a sunset bar because it was only open for nudists (part of the nudist area of the resort). All in all a very disappointing experience. On the positive, the location is beautiful, picturesque.

Loved the staff! Great beaches. I wish that restaurants had been open every night as we do not like nights where we all dine on the lawn together.
