I expected so much more from this resort especially as a fellow Jamaican. The staff was extremely disrespectful and took a very long time to respond for amenities. It seems that the resort rooms are not maintained regularly due to the air conditioner not working and refrigerator breaking down as well. In addition, the pool was not maintained properly as we saw vomit in the pool for 2 days while there. For the amount of money that was spent, I truly expected better than what was received.

The pool was dirty on one side where the waterfall was . The women staff members were very unfriendly . The men were very helpful to me and my husband . The concierge did not help us at all once he couldn’t sell us anything we didn’t heard from him at all the entire trip . Food was great . Room was beautiful . Swim up bar was great . Jerk hut and coconut hut was great . The beach was not great at all .

Beautiful architecture, large rooms, well equipped and maintained, pools, common areas are excellent. However, the stench of raw sewer is the fun killer. Whether you are outside or inside of your room, it follows you everywhere. Not sure if it's a design problem or maintenance, but I will not return to this place until this problem is fixed. The beach has almost no swimmable areas and is limited to a few small waist deep spots often filled with seaweed, the rest of the waterfront is just rocks. Food is below average for all inclusive - everything is overcooked, and very few fresh fruit.

We were there the week before the hurricane. The food in the buffet was inedible on more than one occasion. The room service was extra and we were unable to eat it. My chicken quesadillas was basically onion and cheese. My husband got a Greek salad and it had ONE piece of lettuce. The only restaurant that we enjoyed was the Mexican one. The rest were not so great. The steak house served our steak blue rare when it was supposed to be medium rare. The chicken parmigiana at the Italian restaurant made me gag. I couldn’t eat it at all. The one thing that was great was the bartender outside the steakhouse. Charlene was amazing and she was so bubbly and welcoming. We even went back to see her just because she was so sweet. We had reservations at the seafood Poseidon but were unable to make it because of the tram. We were told to wait outside our building and they would pick us up. We saw six go by and none stopped. We walked up to the main building to see if we could get one there. We waited for 20 minutes and none came so we missed the reservation completely. Both my husband and I ended up with a rash that our Dr said was from bacteria in the pool. Needless to say our experience was not so good. Our concierge, Tiana, did try to make everything right and she was very sweet as well. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to take care of us. She was amazing. The resort was just not what we had expected.

I hated the fact that the room 2233 had a leak over the sink, the sink was clogged most of the time. We had no towel for an entire day. I had to get towels from my sister that was staying in 2112. I had to be mopping up water from the bathroom floors. I asked about 3 different people for towels before having to go to the front desk to request towels then they finally brought the towels. The facility outside of the room was great. I enjoyed the entertainment, the swimming pool and the restaurants.

I had mixed feelings about leaving this review as I was disappointed with my stay, but we still made the best of it. I will start with the positives. The grounds were well maintained and expansive pool. Sunset Cove was a tucked away gem. Cons - Grand Palladium is a travel club/timeshare with a hotel revenue component. I don’t like timeshares as the property buildings get dated and there is typically not a focus on maintaining room standards. After paying close to 4500 for 2 adults and kid and seeing 4.5-5 stars on Expedia, I thought I would get a decent room experience. The rooms are in disrepair and we were told we were on the recently renovated side. The walls were in disrepair, extremely poor workmanship, and broken floor tiles all over the place! There was mold on the shower heads, tile grout that was not wiped off the tiles around the bathtub, and random nails sticking out. They offered to change, however for the same room with more broken floor tiles than our current room. With a child that loves to run barefoot, that’s not cool. Not inconveniencing and losing time for that. Only here 4 nights. The food is bad and they kept running out of things like towels, food items, cups, etc. to the point we thought we were being pranked. The pool is so expansive, it’s hard to find seating anywhere around it. Lastly, they should offer add’l food options for kids at Sunset Cove. 1 hr wait for lunch and dinner is too long for kids and takes away from vacation.

I stayed at this resort in 2019 and loved it so much that I decided to return. However, a lot has changed since my last visit. The facilities were clean, but the bathrooms had several rusted areas. While there’s a wide variety of options for breakfast and dinner, the food wasn’t very flavorful. The drinks were watered down, but despite these issues, I still enjoyed my stay. That said, I wouldn’t return again.

They gave us the wrong room the first day, tub didnt work, the lock on the door was broken they end up switching us to the right room 7pm the next day. They gave us this coupon book that you could barely use at the places they said, they be doing construction on the property, and the room which is noisy as hell. Staff was very friendly, service was good at the restaurants, entertainment was great each night .

The resort is massive, luxurious and all-inclusive which is why we chose to stay there, but there are some things that need attention. When we first got into our room & started unpacking, we noticed water dripping down a wall & onto the marble floor. We called the front desk & made them aware of the situation & they said they would send someone from maintenance. After nobody came, we went to the front desk 2 times & were told that they were on their way.We were tired from traveling all day & just wanted to unpack/get comfortable & figured they would move us into another room. Finally we went back to the desk for the third time in 4 hrs & asked to be moved because the floor was flooded with water by that time. We assumed they would offer to upgrade our room but they would not. We constantly had to call to ask for wash cloths and towels because housekeeping would forget to leave them.The buffet had many choices of food but most of it was very bland. The restaurants have better quality foods but reservations were limited. If you want a chair by the pool, you need to go early and put your towel on it.They do not monitor the chairs and some sit empty all day with towels on them(which I do not think is acceptable).There were also days when they ran out of clean beach towels for hours (that should never happen). The entertainment could & should be better. The beach area could be better but the pool is amazing! We did enjoy our stay, but think there should be better management.

The resort was great, and we had a good time. However, there were a few hiccups. There were 4 in our party (2 adults, 2 teens) and we paid for an ocean view room with two double beds. The first night, we were placed in a room with a single king bed and a pull out couch. The bathroom was open concept with no privacy between the bathroom and the bedroom area. I complained, and was promised a correct room the next day. They tried to tell us we had the pull out bed for the two teens, but that is NOT what we paid for. We did get our room, but we wasted almost half the second day packing and waiting for our room to be ready. Obviously not something you want to do when you pay to be on vacation. The resort itself is great. It IS too spread out and its a long way to walk anywhere. There are shuttles though, and the drivers were extremely polite. The food on the buffet is typical all-inclusive buffet food. It's not great, but it's not bad either. After being on 5 different all-inclusive resorts I believe this might be intentional to prevent customers from having issues as they travel. We ate at 4 of the ala-cart restaurants, and all four were excellent. The pool was decent. It's huge, and that's about it. Plenty of room for everyone even with kids playing and throwing balls and having a good time. The beaches on the north side of the property are so-so, two of them are very rocky but the other is ok. Sunset Cove is by far the best beach there.

The property was beautiful. The check-in process was chaotic to put it mildly. The staff had lines in front of each station, some lines moved fast while others were held up for 15-20 mins. Please have one line and the next available agent can take the next person in line, instead of someone unknowingly getting in the wrong line and the clerk decides to tell them after 20 mins she is closed once she is done with the current family. Fortunate, for us our reserved room was out of commission and we were given a free upgrade to the Signature level. Well the blessing was also a curse! We were placed on a third floor, none of the buildings have elevators. That was brutal for a couple of out of shape women. It definitely changed how we moved throughout our day. The property was sprawling. Which meant everything was very far apart. After walking down three flights of stairs you had to walk @ 2 blocks to get to the main area depending on where you stayed. We were "Premiere" so we were only about two blocks, but some family members were @4 blks away. The golf cart runs 24hrs a day to transport guest around but, you have to wait for them to come, IF, they come. Last thing I will mention is the overall entertainment and food. The food is okay. Some restaurants were great (Portofino) others were so/so (Sumartian ?). Get out and try as many places to eat as you can, there are over a dozen on the property. Enjoy the swim up bar if you can, the DJ and bartenders are great.

First point of contact matters and unfortunately the staff member that I had upon checkin failed to provide a pleasant and welcoming tone. Lamar was very abrasive in her responses, the check in felt rushed. I had hoped to experience a different staff member during check out to see if I noticed a difference but unfortunately I checked out with the same front seat staff and her demeanor was exactly the same. I also had an issue with the app and was unable to log in and instead of assisting me, she directed me to guests services. The lady at guests services stated, I needed to give the app time. I have traveled to many places and have never heard of such a thing. Once I got to my room, I called guests services and was able to speak with Ashley who was extremely helpful and realized the error I was having during checking in on the app was the name they used vs my full last name. The resort was beautiful and the various restaurants offered was great to see. It would have been nice to maybe know the menu for the buffet in advance so we can decide which days we wanted to try a restaurant as the oxtail was amazing but we weren’t able to get it again. Overall, the stay was good but I think the customer service could have been better which is what I stated to Xavier while we waited for our transportation. There were two extremes, staff that were abrasive, unwelcoming and quite rude then those who were really nice, inviting and contributed to making the experience a good time.

Staff was very rude. They would not accomodate your genuine request. We made two trips and paid for it in advance.The expedia lady forces us to pay for the second trip which we were not sure about.We wanted to cancel it cus the kids in our group got sick. The lady didn’t want to refund the money. I missed my bus coming back to the airport and had to take another bus because the bellboy did not come to pickup the luggage. I had to wait an hour and 15 minutes for the bellboy to take my luggage.The Ac was not working properly and had to sleep without Ac the first night and then they switched our 3 rooms. I have seen other tourists yelling at the front desk. Worse experience. Would not recommend this place to anybody.

Staff was very welcoming and professional. I felt at home From my welcome drink to check in. Reception Supervisor Melicia was courteous and accommodating throughout ? All the support staff and guest relations explained what restaurants were o]en and where to dine. The staff provided cart transport to amd from the room which was very convenient. Make one call and they're there to get you. The Bartenders at all the bars made great drinks and were friendly.

This was my third visit with my family. The convenience from the airport to the hotel is great especially having 2 toddlers. However, unlike my last 2 visits the service at the hotel declined tremendously. We had no wash cloths, iron or remote for the television. The phone in the room did not work. The food at the restaurant especially the Jamaican and seafood was horrible. We waited for over 45 minutes at the seafood restaurant before being served. I ordered the birthday celebration package and cabana for my son’s birthday and was told everything would be set up and ready by 10am. I got there at almost 1030 to surprise my son and nothing was done. The representative did not have a record of my reservation. The package included; cake, wine, balloons and chocolate covered fruits. Thankfully I brought my own balloons and decorations as none was provided. We also did not get chocolate covered fruits, but had to pay full price for the package at checkout. I am having a difficult time deciding if I should ever return to the hotel. The shows were good as well as the spa, but my other experiences were horrible and has left me feeling very disappointed.

This property exceeded my expectations! Yes it was a little drive from the airport but that wasn’t an issue, the property was BEAUTIFUL! My room was huge! It was nice and cool, everything was clean, omg the bed! I need to know what kind of mattress that was because it was pure heaven. You need to make reservations for the restaurants so I only visited the buffet but that wasn’t a big deal, they had water activities at the beach at the resort, Lord I can go on and on. This is not a paid review, I paid for this trip but it was worth every penny

Beautiful property - pools were spectacular. My two year old son had a great time in the splash pad and myself and husband enjoyed the poolside bars. Friendly staff. Overall clean and well maintained resort. Only downside for us - plenty of stairs to get to the main lobby, pool, and room. One elevator access in the main lobby. Not stroller or wheelchair friendly. Otherwise, would still highly recommend.

The hotel is beautiful. Great customer service. However the property is old and needs to be upgraded. The sewage system and pipes may need cleaning. The top management would need training in sales skills when dealing with guests on vacation. All in all it is a beautiful place to vacation.

We had reservations at the seafood Poseidon but were unable to make it because of the tram. We were told to wait outside our building and they would pick us up. We saw six go by and none stopped. We walked up to the main building to see if we could get one there. We waited for 20 minutes and none came so we missed the reservation completely. Both my husband and I ended up with a rash that our Dr said was from bacteria in the pool. Needless to say our experience was not so good. Our concierge, Tiana, did try to make everything right and she was very sweet as well. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to take care of us. She was amazing. The resort was just not what we had expected.

Beautiful resort, the buffet could have been better. they should serve more of the local fruits like mangos. The staff was very tentative, they tried to accommodate your every need. The activities and entertainment was great and they also entertain the kids with a kids club. Very family friendly.

Everything was great just they the food options for vegetarians was very limited which should be corrected because the number of prime that are vegetarians in the world is growing we found our selves eating at one particular resistant 6 days out of 8 so that wasn’t pleasant but other than that everything was nice

Overall excellent stay with beautiful beach and many pools. The only downside was quality of the food in ala Carte restaurants that you have to prebook. Buffet food was great. Italian and Mexican restaurants not best. Everything else outstanding

Room had an amazing view. Restaurants had terrible waiters, most were rude or would never show up to the table after you order. The buffets were constantly out of food and when you ask if more food would be coming out, they start talking to their co-workers in what appears to be another language. The property is big and theres never any drivers at the pick up locations. Overall, nice property but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone nor stay again.

Property was very pretty & well kept, room were nice & very spacious. Beds were comfortable. We had a pretty view of the ocean, but no entrance to ocean near our room. Beaches were small & just ok. Very sharp rocky entrance to water & definitely need beach shoes. Food was a disappointment. Bland, steaks overcooked.

The resort was lovely: clean, well maintained, gorgeous room and facilities. The staff was wonderful. Initially, I liked the food at the buffet, but they need to switch it up. 6 days of eating the same food got boring. The food at the sports bar was horrible. I did enjoy the food at the Asian restaurant. The entertainment was not good either. I would go back because the people and the resort itself were absolutely lovely
