The hotel was impressive and the staff very attentive. The main disappointment and only criticism of the hotel was the size of the shower cubicle, it was 60cm x 60cm and really only suitable for a child. Even though the hotel is on the Italian Riviera we would expect better shower facilities for the room rate we paid. Also we were advised that on check in that hotel had it`s own beach club, having made enquiries the there was a cost for two sun beds and a parasol of €150.00, wouldn`t expect to have to pay for the hotels own beach club, I may have misunderstood but was lead to believe it was not the hotels beach club and they just rented some sun beds in a facility.

Otroligt vackert hotell med fantastisk frukost och oerhört hög grad av service. Bra gym och restaurang på hotellet. Mycket bra och snyggt poolområde. Gillade strandpromenaden ner till Rapallo som kantades av mysiga hus och restauranger. Vi hade rum mot sidan ”delvis havsutsikt” - hade jag bokat igen hade jag valt havsutsikt. Liten badplats bara några minuters promenad bort. Även om jag gillade det mycket, så tycker jag vi har fått mer för pengarna på andra ställen. Minus: Exteriören på hotellets baksida, där även entrén var, samt lobbyn hade en helt annan stil som tyvärr inte passade in. Kändes 80-tal och icke inbjudande.

We had a very good stay in the room with a view enjoying the good restaurants, the nice SPA and the swimmingpool. We got very good service also for planing our excursions and visits to local restaurant in Rapallo. The shuttle was a very good service. From a sustainability-wise, we could have used towels and sheets a bit more/longer. The late night music on the veranda was a bit disturbing.

Absolutely loved my stay at Grand Hotel Bristol Spa Resort! The dining experience was a disaster from start to finish: we ate three meals at the hotel, and each one was worse than the last. They never honored our reservation times, and on one occasion, we waited a full hour before anyone even took our order for lunch. The restaurant staff were completely disorganized and inattentive, and the food & beverage director clearly doesn’t understand the basics of customer service. If that weren’t enough, I had booked and paid for a “Prestige Garden View” room, only to be given a room with a small, waist-high window—hardly the experience promised or expected. This hotel is poorly managed and fails to deliver on even the most basic expectations of a luxury property. Save your money and look elsewhere—there are far better options nearby that actually know how to treat their guests.

We were staying in the hotel for 4 nights and were really impressed how great everything was. We had some initial problems with our room but thanks to fantastic guest experience manager we were moved to a better room with stunning view at no extra charge. The hotel is very well-run, wonderful views on the whole Portofino coast from balconies, pool area and restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful at all time, pool is very big and perfect to swim in. We will be definitely staying again at the hotel next time we are in Liguria!

Great service. Breakfast was phenomenal. Staff was really accommodating for any issue we had. Great views from room and common areas on the property. Definitely recommend, and will stay here again for future stays. Thank you to all staff members from bell man to hotel manager, you all made our stay a memorable one.

I had booked this hotel for a treat for the wife. We were driving from Nice. However due to a rental car issue we could not make it on the day. We called expedia mid afternoon to ask if it could be cancelled and refunded. Very helpful they agreed to talk to the hotel. Hotel said they needed managers approval. So 24 hours later the manager declined and charged us full amount despite our car issues and appeal. Running a luxury hotel is just as much about customer care and friendly service as the facilites. We have been to many great places where managers and customers services have been very friendly and corteous. With this hotel and manager we are very very disapointed. Manager may well refer to booking policy but that’s beyond the point. With a single refusal to refund he has tainted an otherwise well reviewed hotel

I like property. I feel staff was unorganized. First on arrival room not ready they said they would let me know when ready after waiting till after 3 pm I ask and it was ready. Second when seated for breakfast staff standing around talking someone should offer coffee shouldn’t have to ask same by pool had to go to bar ask for drink when 4 staff stand talking. Need more service not just smiles.

Första gången i Rapallo och på Grand Bristol. Mkt bra läge, lugnt, lite folk och bra med parkeringen på framsidan. Perfekt hotell att bo på och i Rapallo och sedan göra utflykter till Rapallo och Portofino. Gångavstånd till Rapallo längs vattnet. Kommer bo här igen om vi besöker Portofinokusten. Prisvärt i jämförelse till Portofino hotellen.

Mix up in reservation (app's fault) which was sorted out by the reception and Manish at Hotels.com. The property is beautiful with lovely views over the sea. Staff were lovely and they send a car to drop and collect you from the town centre on request which came in very handy. Breakfast was very good with a live chef station and great selection (prosecco available!). What sets this hotel apart is the simply STUNNING spa - I haven't seen such an amazing indoor pool maybe ever. Beautifully maintained and very enjoyable couple of hours just chilling. Had an amazing massage as well. Definitely would stay here again if we find ourselves in the area

I thought the hotel was beautiful and the setting was fantastic. I loved the spa and amenities and we had a phenomenal dining experience at Le Cupole. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special getaway with beautiful views and lovely sunsets on the Italian Riviera.

Love this hotel, we have been here several times and always five star. However lost a point this time for the rooftop restaurant, which was a Michelin star restaurant that did amazing fish and had a great menu so need to get use to the new chef. So the restaurant on the roof is fantastic, however now it’s a set menu which I get as they need to get back the previous status. But trying too hard to impress with over complicated fusion that look amazing on the plate but the taste is not lingering, it hits the pallet for a split second and the taste buds have no time to take in the flavours. It was an experience the food great, but again the simple things matter and the simple was missing. The waiters tried their best to fit the status being presented but you could see they were not comfortable, better to provide people option of set menu or a le carte. Don’t get me wrong we were very full and enjoyed it but I would have been satisfied with less and still be impressed.
