DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel West Palm Beach Airport

Room smelled like cigarettes, the hotel was fully booked so they couldn't move us, but they did give us complimentary breakfast for the next morning. Having to pay for parking sucked. The AC in the room would constantly turn on/off like some kind of Eco mode, so the room would pretty much stay warm all night which left is sweating throughout the night. People slamming doors all night with no regard to other guests. Toilet flushes excessively loud. So be advised, you're definitely going to wake up your family in the middle of the night if you have to use the bathroom, unless you're staying solo. I remember a time when Double Tree hotels used to be nice. I guess those days are over.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree, and while the property itself was fine, there are a few things I did not like about this stay. First, you’re now required to use an app to pay for parking, instead of having it added directly to your reservation like before. On top of that, they increased the card hold from to ? which felt unnecessary for this type of property. What bothered me most was the parking situation. I had to pay ? just to park in the lot, and the app included warnings that vehicles could be towed if payment wasn’t made through it. That part felt very unwelcoming. Overall, these changes make the property feel less worth the cost compared to my previous stays.

Always lpve it but paying for parking...will not return due to extra fee.

Hotel was beautiful and very clean. Staff and shuttle drivers were the friendliest of any hotel Ive ever been too. Very convenient to airport. Breakfast was excellent!

Comfortable room and bedding. Shuttle to and from airport but you have to request the service at the front desk so they know when it is needed. Shuttle service doesn't start before 5 am but does go up until 11 pm which is nice. I had a smoke detector battery alarm start beeping repeatedly shortly after my checkin but I informed the front desk and a worker came promptly and replaced it within minutes. excellent response time. I forgot that a cookie supplied at checkin and I did go back when I remembered about the free treat and and was provided one or more if I wanted. Thank you Doubletree.

The towels were as hard as sandpaper and the pool was closed. Half the reason I booked there was for the pool. And I could not access that amenity. Very disappointing and the only resolve was I’m sorry. That was not a solution.

The check in process was quick. The receptionist welcomed us with cookies and bottled water which was very nice. Our room was clean and I felt comfortable. Hotel offers nice breakfast buffet for extra charge. Some food were very salty like hash browns and sausage. The parking was not included with a stay and we had to pay $5 per night.

The check in was fast and the front desk was very helpful. We had to be shuttled to and from the airport and the drivers were both very very nice and got us to the airport in perfect time with our very early flight. Definitely will stay here again.

The hotel was clean, friendly staff. Unfortunately, The pool was down which we were not aware of when booking.

Didn’t expect this experience from Hilton the price I paid for the day to see roach in the morning in the bathroom, room had odor mold or something carpet had stains needs updating. Told front desk to get room sprayed you see one small roach there’s plenty more elsewhere

Let me preface this by saying that, the staff were amazing. Excellent customer service. With that said, the condition of this hotel was gross to me. Every part of this hotel needs to be upgraded. The bathrooms are very small and dark. It seems like no matter how much it’s cleaned, it’ll still feel dirty and dank… it’s hard to explain. When I first arrived they put me on the 2nd floor… the moment I walked in, the smell of room… it smelled musty, like disgusting. The bathroom was not clean. When I went down to the desk I requested a different room and the staff accommodated that request. They moved be to the top floor and the room looked and smelled much better. The bathroom appeared cleaner but it was still dingy and dark…. It really needs to be upgraded. This might’ve been the first hotel to give me the ick and make my skin crawl. Again the staff were great. The condition of the property was not. I do not recommend staying here.

It was very obvious room wasn’t cleaned

Room smelled like wet carpet, I didn't expect that for double tree standards.

The shower and tub were old and moldy the beds were not great and the the room smelled musty.

While the staff was very nice and inviting, I had to deduct points for the fact that the room situation was disappointing. I had to get the room switched 3 times due to the fact that the first room had a roach in it and the second one had a strong foul odor. The front desk agent Kema, however, was amazing & was extremely understanding, patient & compensated for the issues we were having. The third room, while better than the first 2, was still lacking in cleanliness. I was also not able to use the pool due to the lack of space and chairs. Overall as mentioned, Kema was amazing at her job but the issues and cleanliness were definitely major issues I can’t forgive.

They had roaches the bed sheets was dirty

I was placed in a room that had mold in the window and water dripping from the window onto the air conditioning. The room had an awful smell to it.However. I called and told staff about it and they gave me another room but had to sleep in the room with mold for one night.

For a "4 star" hotel, the room was not clean, extremely dusty which aggravates my allergies. Surfaces were covered in dust! Not vacuumed and towels in bathroom felt damp. Very disappointed since i purposely chose a 4 star hotel and payed more to sleep comfortably

Found two live roaches in my bathroom.

My room was hot and AC was loud. Maintenance came and told me to use the control panel on the ac, not the thermostat, it still didn’t cool off. No response for how loud the ac was. Felt like I was in a cheap motel not a Hilton sponsored hotel.

Room was a great size, bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very small with little counter space but all necessary needs were there. I also wish the room had a microwave.

Commented on my Two night review, noisy A/C was not good at all. Disturbing sleep, and making it hard to watch the TV. The volume had to be high in order to concentrate on what you were watching. And during sleep, it was a pleasure to turn off A/C at a cool point during the night. A/C could do with upgrading, old.

The most detracting thing about our stay was the Air Conditioning Unit in the room(s). We changed rooms, due to the fact that not only was the A/C Unit mounted near the window loud and noisy whilst in operation, it had loose fittings that rattled making quite a racket. This was experienced during our Five night stay, as opposed to our Two night stay seven days earlier. Having experienced a real Hilton Hotel located in Naples, FL. The drop in standards were HUGE, generally. And the A/C in Naples was virtually silent in comparison.

Ask for a room facing the front. Back rooms are too noisy from highway

The hotel was nice just a little older. The bed and room were very comfortable. The table was not cleaned well since i found an old dried contact lens on it. I wish there were more usb charging bases but there where plenty of outlets which was still nice. The bathroom was truly the only thing that disappointed me but they can't change that easily. I have back problems and everything was a little low and that is coming from someone that is only 5'2". The toilet and counter were too low. It was a small space. Thankfully it was only me so i didn't hadn't to close the door too use it otherwise it would have been hard to be in there to close the door. I wish there would have been handsoap and even though they have an on-sight restaurant my room didn't have a menu and there was no way i could see it online. In being brutally honest here but overall i still had a very nice stay. The bed was like a cloud. The other seat where comfortable too.

No microwave and the air conditioner wasn’t working good it was hot inside the room

This was just like a budget hotel. The room did not have an alarm clock and when we asked for a wake up call, we were told it was broken. The room had no microwave. The paint on the walls and furniture was peeling. The saving grace was that the room was clean (ish) and rhe staff was friendly.

The staff was nice and very helpful. Here's the deal and why they stand out... In 30 years of professional and personal travel, no one has ever texted me to ask about my stay....they addressed every question and concern with professionalism....We will return with family and friends! #grateful

No Staff, No Service, Not Worth the Time

Not ran like a Hilton, Front desk needs more training, deer in headlights

We arrived at the property around 10ish PM to check in. Upon check-in the representative Yasmin advise me that I had a king room. I told her I did not. She went back-and-forth about seven times when she told me, Yes, Expedia‘s reservation came through as a king bed reservation. I told her That was not true and I showed her my reservation on my Expedia app. She then said “ohh”at that point the manager was walking by and asked what was going on. She told him that one of their employees whose name starts with a “M” changed my room from two double beds to one king bed and they no longer had any rooms available. ( how quick the story changed ) The manager said oh we’re sorry there’s nothing we can do. at this point it is almost 11 PM. My children had a national competition w/ a 6AM call time. we were tired. the manager, Christian stated that they’re allowed to do that with any reservation they receive. My reservation was paid for in advance in full, so there was no reason for someone to change it. When I asked, where would my children sleep? He told me he would give me a blanket and a pillow and they could sleep on the floor, I was floored. I told him that I would not pay to sleep on the floor. He stated he would contact Expedia to give me a refund. He never did. I had to contact Expedia, They ended up giving me a refund. We called them multiple times for the pillows and blankets. They never answered the phone and hung up on us three times. Be careful booking this hotel.

From the front desk staff, to restaurant and shuttle service it was amazing! Everyone was so friendly. Highly recommend.

Staff was rude, ask at front desk at what time the pool close and the answer was “if you make noise we will kick you out “ not even told us the time. We decided not to even bother to go to the pool and was the main reason why we chose the hotel, and we booked only for few days. We decided to go to another place to enjoy a pool. Very rude staff at night or second shift.

It was a nice hotel but it was in a business district. There’s not much to do around there but it was. Lose enough to uber.

It’s a great location close to PBI and rental car facilities which is what I look for. Staff is great, professional and just plain nice. I got two cookies from the front desk,which I needs after a long week. It’s an old property and renovations are in order but overall, you can’t go wrong.

Great place to stay prior to flying out of West Palm Beach airport. Easy to get in and out of, easy parking and friendly staff.

Very close to the airport and clean. If you're looking to spend the night during a layover, this place is ideal with its airport shuttle. Quiet and secluded. With that said, there aren’t much for shopping or restaurants within comfortable walking distance. Uber and DoorDash are required if you want to get around or miss the restaurant opening hours.

This was a very comfortable choice conveniently located in West Palm Beach. Great for a night's layover, or if you're wanting to explore the Palm Beach area.

The hotel is in an industrial park area, removed from stores, restaurants or other services. The hum of the highway, which is directly behind it, is continuous.

I had a great stay at the DoubleTree West Palm Beach. The staff was friendly and accommodating to my needs and I enjoy the free airport shuttle!

The property was clean the staff was polite and professional. The restaurant had really good food as well.

Stayed for 4 nights. Staff friendly enough... waitstaff at breakfast very nice. Free coffee in lobby is nice. Breakfast buffet...: bacon very well done, as in hard brittle strips, scrambled eggs very well done, as in hard lumps. Rest of buffet nice, and it was included. Room condition: bed very comfortable, kingsize. Sheets clean and nice. especially nice large pillows. Room hasn't been dusted well in weeks. The legs under the desk chair, chrome, had a thick layer of dust, as well as the cross boards under the desk, heavy layer of dust. A small scrap of paper, seriously small piece of trash, on the floor for three of my 4 days there. Trash emptied, just next to scrap, but scrap never collected. The bathroom lighting is dim. One light to the left of the mirror would blink on and off occasionally. One towel rack not attached to wall well. Shower had three containers attached to the wall. One would expect shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Had two shampoos and one conditioner. (Asked reception to have it fixed, never happened.). Luckily there was bar soap. AC worked well, if a bit noisy when it rattled on. Safe stopped working when locked, which could have been problem is I had locked anything important inside, but was carrying everything important with me. Room has no ports for USB-A cables, that I could locate, so bring your own. Parking is abundant, free and well lighted at night.

Check in was ok not great. Room next door was noisy and front desk staff was indifferent to complaint. No offer to move us. Dining room service was slow and a simple “grilled” cheese arrived 40 minutes after order and was 2 slices of toasted bread with a single slice of American cheese, 2 slices of tomato and a few broken pieces of bacon. Breakfast buffet was $18.99 and the hot dishes were Luke warm and depleted by earlier diners. . All-in-all not a good experience and I’m sad to say we’ll be looking to another hotel chain for our next vacation.
