Motel 6-Tucumcari, NM

Doesn’t look like photos, smells of bug spray,has roaches, Tv didn’t work, internet was spotty and the pool was turned into a garden. I could have slept in my truck and had better accommodations.

The room I had was clean. Another person’s said they had issues with roaches. This place needs an obvious renovation, numerous rooms doesn’t look like they are available. Cable kept going out due to poor connection. The other person I spoke with said the same about her room. This place needs help fast.

Dirty property. Cigarette butts everywhere. Garbage on the lawn in the pet area. Garbage cans were so nasty, it was difficult to throw trash away.

The pool did not have water in it. It would have been nice to know the pool was not functional. We would have switched hotels as that was the whole reason we picked this hotel. Oh and cherry on top we got locked out of her room because the room keys started working.

Many rooms are not in use....maintenance very poor. TV had only 3 channels. Some lights don't work.

None of vending machines worked None of the ice machines worked. The tv was static. Key wouldn’t work.

The park lot pot holes will pop your tires so beware. The hotel is older, I have stayed here several times during cross country trips. It’s a cheap place to lay your head and have a warm shower the next morning. Few suggestions for the property, needs a little revocation outside, also put 4 towel boy 2 in rooms that are reserved for 4. Ice machine needs cleaned, staff very nice

Noisy AC. No grass, pool out of service, parking lot full of potholes. Garbage dumpsters running over. Trash on the ground throughout property. Room needed fresh paint. Parts missing on shower curtain. Dog poop everywhere!

No pool available even though on the description it says there is a pool.

Several live cockroaches and flies

Door wouldn’t close or lock. Roaches everywhere. No hot water. No tv remote

Bugs all over room and walls. Sheets stained bad. Room wasn’t cleaned. We made it out alive. Ps I’m not one to complain

As soon as I walk in I saw little bugs on the floor then saw dirty floors look like they haven’t been moped in a month hair on pillows, sheets were dirty looking the towels and rags had stains all over them my family did not even get under the blankets because it was so dirty we turned the heater on just enough to stay warm from the heater and not use the blankets and sheets horrible experience

BED BUGS!!!!!! CAME OIT IN MIDDLE OF NIGHT ALL OVER BED BITING US! LEFT HOTEL 330AM NO ONE ANSWERED IN OFFICE

Room was dirty, we didn’t shower because it looked toxic and the shower chair had mud on it. Too tired to go find a different accommodation. Won’t be back here, ever.

Good place, friendly staff but although clean, the room smelled awful. Check in guy was nice and when reporting our room smell issue he was understanding but said all rooms will smell the same because it's just the way their cleaning products smell. The smell encountered when entering the run room was sour and almost like someone left a brown surprise in the toilet. The windows were screwed shut so we couldn't let the smell out but it finally dissapated to not burn my wife's eyes and invoke some nausea after a couple hours of the fan circulating and filtering it through the A/C system. The door deadbolt didn't lock and you had to turned the handle hard and then pull hard to open the door from the inside because the baseplate on the frame was bent into towards the door itself. When checking out I did report the smell issue again and suggested they get different cleaning supplies and reported the door issue so hopefully they'll attend to the issues. Most of the TV channels were blurry but could be made out okay so we just endured watching snow behind the main picture. I didn't report the TV issue because I forgot to but I would have liked to have remembered to do so.

Had to change rooms, first was covered with dead and alive cockroaches. Second room no bugs but towels and sheets are stained brown and the tv has only a few working channels and those that do are fuzzy. Scared to shower so I won’t be or use sink wanted for drinking, thank goodness we purchased water bottles. Walls have stains and the one shared microwave in the lobby is filthy. Only good thing was the staff, helpful and friendly, however ahe did not seem shocked by the bugs. We’ve stayed at many motel 6’s before and know they’re nothing special but this is disgraceful.

The sheets were dirty an stained floors were so dirty my socks were black I've tried to add pictures but it wont let me I would not recommend this place management needs to step up an do there job.plus laundy machines were out of order they need to post this on website One positive note management did refund but had to go in the next morning to do that .The lady working the night desk was very friendly an helpful .

The lady who checked us in is very nice. Otherwise room is not what I reserved I reserved a single queen bed and got 2 doubles and was told they are queen they definitely are not I have a queen at home. Shower has no pressure and floor in bathroom is dirty. Only 3 tv channels actually come in the rest is pixilated, if it was for more than a night I would not be staying

Room was in good shape but bed made awful noise every time you rolled over and no hot water to take a shower

AC had a mind of its own. Would not stay at temperature I set. I finally just turned it off. The place is a badly run down dump.

Easy to find, a nice distance from the noise of I-40 and US-54. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was so quiet I didn't even know it rained overnight. You'll sleep well here.

The smell from the cleaning chemicals was nauseating and literally gave me a headache and sore throat. There was a bright light outside the window that could not be blocked by the curtains. They arent kidding when they say they leave the light on for you. The picture represents my bedside view at 1am.

The shower had no pressure. I rinsed off with water dripping from the shower head. There was a metal matress support that i hit my knee on. There were some people on property with kids, they only some French, their kids were outside running around and screaming at 1am. I didn't get any sleep.

Property looked very old outside. Room was very small but adequate. Bathroom had been renovated and was better than expected. Room flooring had buckled in places. It was okay for 1 night. Not lots of choices in the town.

Economic, quick stay. For the price it worked for me. Tv had channels but blurry picture. Bathroom was clean and worked well Bed was comfortable enough. Air unit worked. Parking lot felt secure enough. Receptionist was efficient.

No coffee in the room which may not be a big deal for some. Shower is very small and shower curtain was torn at the top so floor got pretty wet. Room was clean and we all felt beds were comfortable. My husband woke up with his eye swollen and pretty sure he had gotten bit by something. Not sure if it happened overnight though.

Everything was fine except that the bed pillows were as thin as pancakes so gave no support. Room was fine and wi-fi worked well.

There was cockroaches crawling on the walls. Tv didn’t work and staff blamed me for my room key not working instead of just saying I’m sorry let me fix it she said you must of put the key by your phone which did not happen. Phone was in my purse and keycard stayed in my hand.

My mother booked the room last minute as I am traveling home from college (IA to AZ). We called ahead to notify the hotel, that the room was prepaid by my mother. She spoke to Jamie at the front desk & she was extremely helpful & professional. We give them 5 stars for great customer service.

The lady at the front desk was great, very helpful and courteous. Our room was quite clean with a nice large bathroom, and the bed was comfortable. The grounds of the property need much attention. They were grown up and neglected. For the price, the room was nice, and it's a shame that the exterior of the property is not cared for well.

The manager was not in the office. I searched the property. I called the number heard it ringing in the office. I rang the bell in the office. it took 15 minutes before she showed up at the office.. not good.

Literally the worst hotel experience I’ve had in 20 years. With a scam to boot. The manager insisted on charging more money for an extra person despite booking a room with 2 beds. When we argued, he switched us from room 122 to room 121 - and 121 of course had a leak that flooded the bathroom overnight. Bugs on the floor. It was just awful.

Ive been using this hotel for the last 10years. Customer service is always excellent. Room prices havent changed in 10years. Its a basic motel room, but for the price its clean, barebones. I do not feel unsafe and the coffee in the morning is great. Truely, the front desk staff have always been incredibly kind and cheerful.

Lock on door would not let me out. Staff responded quickly and moved me into another room.

The service guy is not honest.

Honestly the nicest motel 6 I’ve ever stayed in. It’s still a budget motel, but it’s better than most I’ve stayed in. Our room appeared to have been recently updated and had a nice shower and was nicely furnished, as well as newly painted. They were remodeling the other rooms on our floor too, which is a good sign. The staff that checked me in were great, the room was pretty clean and free of bugs, we felt safe in the area, there was plenty of parking, the bed wasn’t bad for a motel bed. Good value for the price during our overnight road trip stay.

It was an extremely windy day and the desk clerk put me in a room that would not be buffeted by the winds. The room was comfortable enough for the area and price. It was also an easy location to get to and return to I-40.

Convenient location, quiet

Quiet location, convenient to freeway entrance and to Rte 66 for dining options. Nice staffed front desk, and room was clean. I enjoyed the shower and the bed was comfortable. Nothing fancy, a good value, great low price. I've stayed here on multiple occasions. Always easy going and good vibes abound.

Would recommend this place. Stayed here on several occasions and like the easy parking and easy access to highway.

We use this as a stop over when traveling between Texas and Arizona. Great location and we love Tucumcari! Clean property, well lit parking area, clean rooms and pet friendly without the up charge. Definitely recommend!

Met our expectations. Areas for dog walking were good. Good coffee in the morning. Frindly staff.

Only 5 cars in the lot but was given choice of only 2 out of 50+ rooms. No coffee or hair dryer or shampoo in room. Shower curtain could not be closed. Shower head could not be moved and could only spray my upper chest. But room was fairly clean...

Very disappointed to find no shampoo, no fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker. Black hairs on the pillow.

I thought i liked the price through Expedia, but the price on the sign was $20 less! I knew Motel 6 was "no frills", but I didn't know that meant: No hot water No coffee in the room No chair in the room No shampoo And of course no fridge or microwave What it did have was stink bugs and another kind I can't identify., and a metal bed frame that made a LOUD pop when you turned over! I will never stay at Motel 6 again!
