We stay for 4 nights in this vacation hotel, ocean sands beach front. We love the accommodation. You can cook. The only thing that needed to upgrade is the kitchen tools.. very cheap plastic.. can we have more appropriate kitchen utensils. Safer to use, greener.. small kitchen but its fine for family of 4. The living room with sofa bed and ceiling fan is ok. There is table for 4 and a big TV. In the bedroom, there is a Queen bed.. TV, closet for clothes. The best i love is the beachfront when we wake up we see the beach and the sunrise. There is a balcony. The only thing that needed to be change is the carpet.. its old and the sofa bed is old as well. The room is clean, no roaches and flies.. The hallway is clean. We are in 11th floor.. There is an aircon in the hallway. The issues is the elevator which is very slow.. I can understand because it is frequently use. There is an indoor swimming pool.. kind of small. The parking is safe and included in the rate. I got a 1 free night since i got to sign up with this vacation package. Hoping to come back very soon. I love VB..

My only concern is limited parking for larger vehicles. The resort does try to reserve areas for larger vehicles but a lot of times small cars park for days which makes it impossible for trucks to park. I would suggest monitoring and contacting smaller vehicle owners to ask them to move their vehicle.

An improvement would be to install a third elevator in the tower. There were times we had to wait for the elevator longer than we should have, which could be improved with an additional elevator. Also, it would be fabulous to have a door that allows guests to exit the back of the hotel without having to go through the restaurant. This would make access more convenient for everyone.

The bed was very uncomfortable. parking garage is totally outdated. if your driving a suv it will not go in the garage. air conditioning unit in middle of unit makes a very loud sound. we had to turn it off. location is great, in center of boardwalk.

Nice hotel and a really good location. Flew in and Uber'd to the accomodation and was really happy with how walkable everything was. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My one complaint would be the elevator - above the 6th floor you use the far away elevator and its also used by staff for their errands/jobs so at times you can wait an exceptionally long time to get down from the higher floors. Its a minor inconvenience though and barely a blot on a lovely stay away. Would visit the area again.

Great views. Great location for our needs. The pool, hot tub and sauna were very nice. Would def stay here again. The pillows did suck. We ended up buying a set. So bring your own pillow.

The location was great, but the condition of the property and the room was not good at all; the tub wasn't cleaned properly, the window curtains were dirty; Jacuzzi and sauna wasn't working and the amenities sucks. It definitely wasn't what I expected

It was raining, the seal around window was leaking onto the ac outlet right nex to my bed and after complaint, they put a towel down, also bathroom floor had hair all over and had to get them to mop it

Ocean Sands is my favorite place to relax and enjoy family time. The room was spotless, spacious and quiet. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the dolphins playing in the ocean. The Neptune Festival was amazing with SEVERAL vendors with excellent deals. All of the staff were pleasant and very helpful. See you at Thanksgiving!

I dont really know what to say about this property other than thehallways were clean and employees were nice but i got bed bug bites the first night. Went and talked to manager and she switched our room and offered refund but our vacation was literally ruined. We went to get away from stress but instead gained the stress of bed bugs. Couldn't sleep good and wondered if they would travel home with us in our laundry or bags. I am eat up and they itch severely. Hoping they go away and i dont have to see a dr. Not a good time at all.

Dirty, nasty, bed very uncomfortable. Manager was suppose to call me and never did. I left early because the stay was miserable. I got pictures of how nasty the floors was. It’s a good thing I bring my own cleaning supplies. I sent the office the pictures.

The ocean view was spectacular! But the room.could certain be cleaner especially the floors. The toilet was small and very low, resembling a toilet more for children. The shower head could use more pressure.

The hotel is very dated. Our room was not very clean. We also had issues with the balcony door lock and the toilet wasnt working properly. Bathroom sink was slow. There was no soap in the shower either. We notified the front desk. Soap was fixed. They said they fixed the toilet, but it still wasnt working. Told us the lock for the balcony was just the latch..even though there are directions on the door. Location is good. Beach access is also good.

Everything was good EXCEPT there were small roaches under the bathtub. I never saw them outside the bathroom either. Just around the bathtub. Until they fix that issues I can't recommend this hotel.

The location right on the Ocean was Great, but the carpet was very dirty, there was a stain on the couch, there were little nets in the room(most likely the drains), the gym had a spray bottle and rags to wipe down the equipment before and after use.

Pros: All of the rooms are oceanfront, with private balconies. Our suite was on the 14th floor, which gave us an excellent view of the ocean, beach, & boardwalk. Our suite was very spacious, and was very reminiscent of a tiny apartment. Cons: The furniture is very worn and dated, but that's not a game changer. What is a game changer is that the suite was dirty. I was totally disgusted. The couch in the sitting area was so dirty that it needs to be replaced. I wouldn't dare sit on it. We used it as a holder for our suitcases. There were surfaces that obviously hadn't been wiped down because there were spots that were easily visible. And I know that it's a beach hotel, and I can understand there may be some residual sand left on the floor from the previous guests, but what I couldn't understand was the hair on the floors, behind the bathroom door, and in the corners. It was so gross. Speaking of corners, every corner in the suite was full of dust and dirt. My husband and I were there for the weekend only, so we made it work. I would not have wanted to spend an entire week in that suite. The ONLY real saving grace was the oceanfront view.

Ocean Sands is centrally located to almost everything since it's on 22nd Street. I have stayed in this resort many times in the past and was pleased. However, the rooms have now been renovated since I was last there and the room was very inefficient... In the bathroom, there is no counter space to place a makeup/cosmetic bag or man's shaving kit bag. There are no longer any cabinets underneath the sink to place anything. There are wall light fixtures in the sitting room that are on the wall on either side of the TV at the ceiling level. Those are the only light fixtures that have USB ports, very inefficient, no where to charge phones, iPads, etc. unless you bring your own USB ports. No end tables on either side of the one sofa in the room. Place your drinks, phones, E-readers, etc. on the floor.

Good location and decent value but our room was in dire need of maintenance. In our room we had three failed lights (including both balconies), a balcony door with a faulty lock, a toilet seat that was very wobbly, a bathroom door handle that felt like it was going to fall off every time it was used and a sofa bed mattress that should have been replaced a decade ago. The room was good at first glance but not what it should have been.

Why are there so few plugs in 2025? I had to pull out furniture to have my phone (also my alarm) charge in the bedroom. The WiFi was super shaky (off and on the whole time). Front desk didn’t answer when I called. Staff wasn’t terribly friendly. I thought the place was fairly clean, until I moved furniture looking for a plug.

This property is nice. It is outdated which surprised me as a timeshare. You would think they would update the property since it is a timeshare. I did not like that I was called 3 times prior to my stay asking if I’m still coming and would I sit for a timeshare presentation. Upon arrival Daniel gave me my info and room. I requested a higher floor but he said they were sold out and unable to move my room. The room is clean but extremely outdated. I’m happy I’m not a time share holder because I wouldn’t be happy with this as my property. Overall. It was nice and clean for a weekend but I did not like them calling me asking if I’m coming and asking to do a presentation. I booked on Expedia not as a timeshare

I would not recommend this hotel and we will not be staying here again. We got to the room and I had to clean gobs of hair from the drain so the water would go down. There was hair on the floor and the sink was dirty. Our stay was 4 days so I proceeded to clean the bathroom myself. Nowhere on the website does it say that this hotel is a timeshare and there is not housekeeping or clean towels. You have to gather your laundry and take it to the laundry room if you want clean towels. We had trouble with parking as well. Lower price is not always best! We did enjoy the view and balcony.

The bed was very uncomfortable. parking garage is totally outdated. if your driving a suv it will not go in the garage. air conditioning unit in middle of unit makes a very loud sound. we had to turn it off. location is great, in center of boardwalk.

The property was very nice, great views. Staff was very friendly & helpful. We had an outlet stop working & they fixed it right away. The restaurant in the hotel is amazing we visited a few times. The only complaint we had was that the floors were really dirty. You had to wear shoes or socks at all times because your feet would get black. But overall a great stay!!! Would visit again definitely ☺️

When we arrived, check-in went very smooth. We got to our room and could tell something wasn't right. They had just shampooed the rugs and there was water all over the floor. We could the desk and they quickly moved us to another room. The next room was very nice and clean. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant. It was very good. Normally we stay at hotels that have some sort of breakfast, this hotel does not. But we knew that. The pool and sauna were very nice. The hot tub while hot did not have the jets working. All in all, it was a very nice stay and would stay there again. It is a time share but we were never 'hassled' to purchase.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Ocean Sands. The property is a little dated, but you cant beat the price and amenities. Loved that there was a masseuse in house, Jamie did an awesome job, but the resort should consider soundproofing the massage room or relocating it. Noise from the pool was a bit distracting when getting the massage. Everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating, and the on site restaurant was very good! We will definately stay here again!

Came with my 15 yr old son and his gf for a few nights. Very clean and comfortable. Could use some updating. Right on the beach. The area out front is a bit sketchy at night. Thought I read that they provided breakfast each morning but only found a basic coffee bar. Food in restaurant was ok.

My room was nice and perfect for a quick weekend getaway for Memorial Weekend. Stores, Restaurants, Boardwalk, Transportation is all immediately surrounding the resort. They had a gym, indoor pool, indoor restaurant and the hot coffee/hot chocolate machine in the lobby was delicious. :-) The staff was great and tended to all my needs promptly. I would definitely stay there again for future trips.

You can get anywhere you want to go from this location. If it's not within walking distance the trolley or the bus stop is. Their downstairs coffee machine is fantastic and their front desk personnel was top notch.

Ocean Sands is a wonderful location on the beach. All the staff were friendly and very attentive to my needs. The room was very clean and the jetted tub was very relaxing. The pool area was clean and warm. I really enjoyed my stay and will return in the future!
