Motel 6 Santa Rosa South California

The property was run down, some rooms boarded up with plywood. The TV in the 1st room was broken, no toilet paper in the bathroom, no hangers, bandaid stuck on bath floor, no ice bucket, beds were hard, blankets dirty. I instructed the clerk at check in not to run my credit card for payment until checkout because I wanted to use a different payment. She ran it anyway against my specific instruction & the day clerk would not correct it. I will be contacting my credit card company for a credit back. The photos of the site on Travelocity did not accurately reflect the actual site. It also states it is located in Santa Rosa South, but it is in the North & a depressed location

The hotel room lost power around 9:30 pm, and we had no power all night or in the morning when we checked out. It was not just our room but others as well. Strangle the outdoor lights and the office area still had power so this was not a power grid issue. Good thing we travel with flashlights.

One building burned from fire. Ac did not work even after letting management know.

Most unpleasant stay in all my 60 years of travelling. Power outage affected our room at 9:30pm during our overnight stay. The terrible fridge smell was a sign that this seems to happen regularly. Had to use our own flashlights to do anything. Contacted front desk and they stated someone they are looking into it. No update until we asked about it at checkout. Staff stated they would be looking at it after 8am. Poor management in my opinion. How do I get a refund?

No amenities, soap, and towels were provided every 5 or so days.if I asked. No wastebaskets. No tissue. Issues with checking in and out. No room service until my 6th day.Discrepency in the cost. The room had fleas!!!!!!

It's a motel 6, NOT a Park Inn as it's being advertised

The pictures posted associated with this hotel are not representative of the property. This was a poorly renovated, poorly maintained property. Half of the hotel was burned out with doors and windows boarded up that have evidently been that way for some time. The back parking lot was in horrible condition. Breakfast was advertised with the listing, which ended up being coffee in the lobby.

It is NOT the picture they use in the advertisement. The first thing I did upon arrival to check in, was ask where this picture was taken on the property. She said oh, thats our otger property, up the road. Tgere was no pool or trees it was absolutely horrible lookibg. Broken wondows, beat up doors, filthy. No towels, no soap, no blow dryer, hair all over, it was gross. There was a prositute with no pants on standing outside her rom, when we got to our rooms. She was later giving blow jobs with her curtains wide open. Another hooker had her pimp in a fight with her john yelliing at 7 a.m about the john trying to rob her. It was crazy. A car backed into another parked car outside our window. If you like to feel like your staying in a Tarantino film, you will love it here. Bring Lysol, we went to get 2 cans. Thankfully we brought our own bedding/pillows. It is conveniently located if you feel courageous enough to stay.

This is just an old Motel 6. And not even as well stocked with towels etc. or much if any effort to make the room look any different than Motel 6.

Rooms were not swept or cleaned correctly next to beds. Window sill dirty. My girls found dirt on their sheets in their room and it smelled so bad like cigarettes in a non-smoking room. Bathroom sinks were dirty as well. Some light fixtures also did not work. Floors were also sticky. The trash can outside was overfilling of trash. Parking lot needs a wash down.

The bed linen was so dirty with lots of hair, only 1 towel provided and looks dirty. Room smell cat pee

I know they are hard to eradicate but seeing a couple baby roaches walking up the walls behind the bed and on my backpack...Who wants to sleep in that room ? ! please get a better pest control company.

Yes toilet had poop all over it including the floor. One of the worst experiences I've ever had.

The room was dirty and the heater didn't work and it smelled bad

Even if this room was priced under $30 I would not be back. The rooms were very misleading on Expedia compared to the actual room that we received. We walked through the door to the odor of smoke in a non smoking room. It’s very underwhelming with the not so very clean towels. The room you can tell was swept but surely not mopped whatsoever. There was a stain on the sheets but that was the tip of the iceberg. I woke up the next morning to what looked like bedbug bites to me and my wife on my hands and wrists. Upon further inspection of the bed, we took off the bedsheets to discover that they put a white pad between the sheets and the mattress to conceal what was more than likely a murder in that room. There was a blood stain right in the middle of the bed approximately 3 feet in diameter. We were horrified and feel violated that they would have the audacity to not disclose this and when mentioned to the front desk, all we got was “sorry”. We will be following up with their corporate office on Monday and if they want proof we can show the pictures. I should have threw the bed off the balcony, in front of the glass that she hides behind and ask her if she would sleep on that? Unbelievable. BEWARE. DO NOT COME HERE

Cockroach infested

It was very very dirty . Bathroom/ bed / room smelled very bad . Trash on the steps going up to our room .

Where to begin? There were pubic hairs on the sheets. There was hair in the shower drain. The pillowcases, towels and bathmat were all dirty. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. There were drug deals in the parking lot. The night shift employee was incompetent and marked one of our rooms as a no show but gave us keys. This is obviously used as temporary lodging for parolees and homeless people. Someone tried to break down the door twice to gain entry. They came back with a metal pipe and were beating on the railing because no one would give them drugs from the room next door. The laundry room didn’t work. Guests had to come to the front desk multiple times to ask for towels because you only allow one towel per room. A guest reported that his gun was missing. I’ve never seen anything like this. Poorly managed with poorly trained employees. Unsafe property that should not be featured on large platforms without disclosing what the property is being used for.

Pros: The people in the office were nice (that’s why the 2 stars)! Cons: The room and the grounds was absolutely horrible though!! my room was noticeably dirty. They were straight black hairs on my sheets. It smelled like cigarette smoke. The floor made my feet black. We were here for my nine-year-old gymnastics competition and I had to go to target to buy Lysol, Lysol wipes, Lysol air, disinfectant, and a candle and lighter! And it STILL smelled!! I understand that I wasn’t expecting a five or even four or three star room. I did expect basic cleanliness though. I never write negative reviews and I’m doing this because I really don’t want anybody else to experience this!! I still felt dirty after leaving. Even after cleaning! Also, the shower was cold! There was a man who appeared under the influence of something pacing outside of my room at night, which made me really anxious. There was a group of questionable people gathered together. There were empty beer cans outside my door on the ground. I mean, I’ve stayed in a motel six before! It was never this bad. I am not exaggerating. I felt so gross after leaving.

Nothing specifically wrong with it but it is very, very basic accommodation. A bit noisy. I got the impression that some of it might be used as subsidized SROs. Overpriced for what it was.

Linens smelled like cigarettes even though it was a smoke free room. The space was very limited, including the shower.

It started with check-in asked for a non-smoking room got one that obviously was a smoking room. The floor was filthy barely enough towels, no amenities. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows were flat. The door would not shut completely so the noise in the cold air came through the screws in the safety lock came out of the door. And the noise from people coming and going in the freeway was horrendous. I actually got up in the middle of the night and screamed foul language at the people in the parking lot to shut up that they were right outside my window. And I’m a single, older, white female by myself in a hotel room. Did not feel safe at all. I would never stay there again.

We stayed four days at the hotel in room 231. Where is the door? You could actually see light coming in the door and underneath the door like it’s been damaged before not repaired the fan in the bathroom didn’t work and the noise that you could hear out on the main street. I felt like I was sleeping in the parking lot in my car, other than that it was OK. The room was clean towels were clean.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, especially for the price. The priority was a bit loud given the proximity to the road and the thin door, but no big deal. There were just a few small things that would have made this a five star review for me! I would have liked to just have shampoo and conditioner, tissues, and a couple of extra pillows. A microwave would have been a big bonus since there was a mini fridge, but I would have expected neither at this price point.

The door had a substantial gap all the way around it. The heater ran all night to keep the room comfortable. Cable tv was unavailable our 2 nights. They warned us at check-in, but we were committed at that point. Parking lot didn't feel all that safe. My husband watched when i took our dog to the strip to potty. The police drove through twice that we noticed. I think i mistook this motel 6 for the one that is up the road.

It was advertised a Queen bed. But no Queen beds available in the entire hotel. Miss advertised.

We got there late, had reserved a non smoking room, but clearly reservations don't mean anything, because they "ran out" of non smoking rooms. The employee aplologized but offered no solutions, I asked if I could get a new room if I came back to the office in the morning. He said yes. They eventually moved us to another room, it was a suposed non smoking room however the guests in the next room didn't follow the rules and because the rooms were ajoining smoke came into our room.

Staff didnt know where our rooms were but pretended to and gave us bogus directions. A towell was filled with hair. Some black stuff was smeared all over the floor and dried up under a bed. Looks like its been there a while. Beds were VERY uncomfortable. Pillows are flat and hard. Room was very hot when we got there and the AC barely worked. Never got comfortable all night. Shower is TINY. Rooms are small. Curtains had cigarette burns in them.

I went to check in after a long trip, somehow foolishly expecting that I would have a room after reserving a room. What a fool I was. Despite confirming my reservation, I was informed that they just didn't have it in their system, they had overbooked and decided to cancel my reservation without telling me until I showed up at midnight trying to get some sleep. Thanks so much for the opportunity to wander around the sketchiest part of Santa Rosa trying to find a motel with an available room.

Absolutely the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The front desk guy made me pay $40 cash to check in 20 min early. I’m sure that went right in his pocket but I was too scared to wait outside on the property. We were there a hellish 3 days and the cops were called multiple times. Screaming and banging all night. Drug deals in the parking lot. There wasn’t even a shower curtain in our room. Disgusting. This place should be condemned.

Some of the towels were dirty and it was very loud with people outside all night long but as far as the price that was okay. Also seemed like someone kept trying to open our door.

They overbooked for Friday night, so we didn't get a room. But they were nice enough to call us that they didn't have a room for us.

Gave us a room but their card machine wasn’t working. We unpacked and they called us back to the office card machine still didn’t work so told us we would have to pay cash, it was 5pm so no banks were open. We had to vacate the room he would cancel our reservation. I’m home and see he charged us one night 96.$!!

Ear to ear smiles from ALL the staffers!

When they gave me my room, the bed smelled like pee. I asked politely for a refund. They offered two new rooms, both of which, were not maintenances so the beds were messy. The maintenance in every room I saw did NOT look like the pictures online. I asked very nicely, they finally agreed to refund me. They SAID it would take 1-2 days. It’s been NINETEEN days with no refund.

Although I had my paperwork and I was prepaid, they would not let me check in. I was there, tired from a long drive, and was not allowed to check in. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel reservation.

Front desk guy was really fun and welcoming. I travel with dogs so have seen more than my fair share of Motel 6's and do not expect fancy. 1st room we were assigned had one bed still stripped. Replacement room did not have refrigerator or microwave as I'd reserved. It was in poor condition, even for a Motel 6: dirty corners, random smears on walls, etc. Heater worked fine, TV was good. We slept fine. Will not go back.

Nice lady at the front which helped balance the outside enviornment. People all over smoking on stairwells. Alcohol left all over the property the next morning. Shady people all over.

Sketchy motel next to freeway. Convenient location for one night stay in the area however it was very sketchy with people hanging around outside that made us feel unsafe. We survived the night but would not go back. We would rather sleep in the car for the night.

I booked this hotel under false pretences, believing it to be a Radisson hotel. Very sketchy neighborhood and I thought I had the address incorrect as it was a Motel 6. I was very tired, even though my companion wanted to leave. Police kept driving around the building all hours of the night. I am astounded that Hotels. Com would have this on their site.

Excellent location.

There were people at 2am hanging around my room. Very noisy yelling playing loud music. Absolutely no security around the hotel. There were bums across the street. Then some guy started bbq next to my car. He put the thing foil grill with charcoals on top of a hotel room chair. That could have ignited and caused a fire. People were openly doing drugs in the parking lot. The soda machines did not take coins or bills only apple pay or credit cards. No microwave and no fridge.

When using the fan it brought in a smoke smell. Other customers were playing music very loud until 4:30 am. Cars racing up and down the street at all hours.

They were walking in and out of the room slamming doors all night. We weren’t given any shampoo/conditioner or soap. Overall probably one of the worst stays ever for us.

Scary! Rundown former motel 6. Our first clue should have been the former motel. 6 signs spray painted over with graffiti on it at the entrance . Bad part of town. We walked in our room, turned around and checked out. Felt unsafe and room had damage. Poor condition. People hanging around in the parking lot and on the stairs that looked rough and dangerous. Couldn't wait to get out of there.

This property appears to be in transition. I saw no signage identifying it as a Park Inn by Radisson, nor did I experience the level of service, amenities, or standards typically associated with the Radisson brand. In fact, the only visible signage was a blacked-out Motel 6 sign near the front of the property. While Motel 6 is a budget chain, in my experience, their standards for cleanliness and basic operations have consistently exceeded what I encountered here. That said, Santa Rosa is a pleasant city, and the property’s location is convenient—just off the freeway and close to restaurants, shops, and other services. The nightly rate was the most affordable I found when booking, and free parking is included, which is a plus. However, my room, located toward the back of the property, had several issues. It was noisy, noticeably unclean, and smelled of smoke. Surfaces and furnishings—including countertops and cushions—showed significant wear, with visible chips and tears. The parking lot also raised concerns: at least one person appeared to be living out of a car, and I saw them biking around the lot multiple times. Local police made routine passes through the property while I was there. In summary, while the convenient location and price are attractive, the overall experience fell short of expectations—even for budget accommodations. I hope the property is undergoing improvements, but as it stands, I could not recommend!

no coffere maker in the room had to go to lobby for coffee. was there 4 nights. One day no coffee at 10:00. The next day no coffee at 9:00. was told time of cut off by two different people. which s it 9 or 10?? Not very friendly office staff.

There is a restaurant next door . The mall is less then a mile .

Noisy, smokers everywhere and it made breathing difficult for me as an asthmatic. Floors needed mopping not just sweeping. Staff were friendly and helpful. Microwaves would be beneficial in the rooms.

Quiet! Clean!! Great mattresses!!! Next to a small grocery store, close to a fast food places, gas stations, a CVS, restaurants and easy access to the highway. Enough lighted parking for a few RV's and trailers as well. The pool's temperature is just right with umbrelled tables and lounge chairs all around. Some rooms have a microwave and mini refrigerator, too. I am a Senior gal and appreciate the comfortable bed and spacious shower! My home away from home😃
