Parking access at both sides of the property are very narrow. No water for the guest. Close to beach and restaurants around

Nice Motel, clean, good location, right across the road from the beach. Pool area was nice . Room was very small for 2 adults and two teenagers.

Beautiful hotel very close to the beach. Staff was so kind and helpful! Only downsides were the pool isn't heated (it was a chilly day and we wanted to swim but without heating the pool was super cold) and no coffee machine in room (but there was freshly brewed coffee in the lobby). Had a wonderful stay and would def stay again!

walking distance to the beach. It is true there is ocean view, but there is a street in front of you first. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. I liked the new shower style. I was disappointed with the pool location right on the sidewalk in plain view from foot and car traffic right there. No privacy at all. I could not get myself to use the pool that way; so disappointing when I had been looking forward to it. Next time I will choose another location.

Clean but small rooms. No dresser for clothing. Pool is not heated. Not a big deal, just letting people know. We had a good stay.

Hotel is in a convenient location. Close to East Beach. However stated check in time is 3pm and while we did arrive early (about 230) and were told the room wasn’t clean yet but would be in 25 minutes. We ate lunch we brought by the pool and went up to the room at 3 and it still was not clean. This is frustrating for someone expecting to be able to check in at 3 as it I the stated check in time. I have never had this experience other places. Otherwise the hotel is clean. Parking is free and easy.

Pros: Location, friendly staff, and good bed. Cons: Old, outdated even thought renovated, small rooms, dirty (lots of hair in the small shower), noisy. I have stayed in over 15 hotels in Santa Barbara over the past 10 years, and this is the bottom of the barrel.

Location is great, close to East Beach and also not to far from downtown Santa Barbara. However, cleanliness could be improved (shower floor was dirty). Waiting times at reception were long, 30 mins at check in. Also rooms are very small and descriptions misleading, our “deluxe room” did not face the ocean but an parking lot and noisy train line. Didn’t see the difference to a standard room.

Just steps from the beach, it’s in a good location. Room was modern and bed was comfy. Room was quite noisy, you could hear the room next door talking and the water running in the pipes. Service was just okay, person who checked us in was checking in multiple people at a time in an attempt to be efficient but it wasn’t. It was reasonably priced but probably wouldn’t stay again.

Great location, walking distance to beach. Rooms were clean and updated. However, major drawback, I felt like I was sleeping ( or trying to) on the freeway. The windows were not double glazed, it was so loud in the room I thought I’d left the windows open. Hardly slept at all.

Cell phone doesn’t work this area. Also hotel WiFi either. I couldn’t connect. And than, construction 🚧 goin on for 2 days. I can’t sleep morning since 7 am. Overall it’s was terrible. I almost forgot, second days our room didn’t cleaned up. They forgot it. 😬

Wonderful location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms with comfy beds. A lot of parking. The only cons are noisy heater and very weak, non-reliable, Wi-Fi.

The new renovations to the room is great ! Such a cute retro style decor, clean, comfortable bed, and spacious shower. The only suggestion I would give is that they need to add a sheer curtain to the inside of the blackout curtain so you can’t see clearly / directly into the room when walking by outside and the blackout curtain is pulled back. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is perfect and there is easy parking which is nice. The room is extremely small and doesn’t have a microwave. I loved the decor of the room and everything looks newly updated which is nice. Our room wasn’t the cleanest and the bed sheets were extremely scratchy. I only stayed one night and for the location it was good but I don’t know if I would stay here again in the future.

What a wonderful gem. We have stayed here several times and the rooms are always clean. Staff is always friendly and you can’t beat the location for the price compared to other hotels around that area. You can’t beat the deal.

Possibly the worst customer service I have received from a hotel, maybe from any business. After realizing I had mistakenly reserved the wrong date, I was told by Expedia to contact the hotel to change the dates. When I called the hotel, I was told it would be no problem and that my reservation was moved to a later date. Two days later, my credit card was charged the full amount of the booking. I called the hotel and was told it was a mistake. The agent I spoke with promised to contact the manager, Vivian, regarding the issue and have her call me back to resolve the matter. At this point, I would have been fine with applying the amount toward a later booking. Three days passed with no message from the manager. I called the hotel again. When I asked to speak with Vivian, I was told that was not possible. He said he called her and that she said there was nothing that could be done. She is the regional manager! He said he would have her contact me. I still have not heard from her or anyone from the hotel. I have been in the service industry for almost thirty years. I would be mortified if any of my staff treated a customer in this way. To be misinformed about having my reservation rescheduled was bad enough. But then to charge my card for a booking that I had rescheduled and not offer any type of accommodation, not even a small discount, shows a lack of caring that borders on disdain for customers. I was willing to give this hotel my business if they just showed they valued it.

The property, for a Motel 6 is nice. The rooms are small, 3 of us could barely walk next to each other. Beds are very narrow. Check out is at 11. At 11:01 the manager was aggressively knocking on our door as we are about to walk out asking when are we leaving; check out is at 11. We said goodness give us 2 minutes to walk our suitcases out, she said she'll be back in 2 minutes. Like a mother to a badly behaving child. Mind you this was on a Tuesday night, Wednesday morning, where i didnt observe a sea a people trying to check in. Also, they charge for late check out; $50 and its only up to noon. So paying $250 plus tax on a Tuesday night, they were desperate for another $50. She was cold and uninviting. She actually ruined our feel about the place.

Our room wasn’t ready at check in time. We had to wait an hour and a half. In that time, the cleaning person got one and a half rooms done. There were a lot of people waiting for their rooms. I run my own businesses and know that management is important and being on top of what staff are doing and how long it should take them and how long it is taking them is important. To me it seemed that one person not doing their job well was creating a lot of frustration for a lot of people. Otherwise stay was great. Location is awesome and rooms were what you would expect.

I stayed at the Motel 6 in Santa Barbara and left disappointed. While the location is good, the price point is outrageous for what you actually get. The rooms are tiny—more like walk-in closets—and not worth the $400+ per night they charge. The cleaning staff was excellent and did a great job, but the front desk staff was another story: rude, unhelpful, and clearly uninterested in hospitality. I had to ask multiple times just to have my room cleaned, only to be told about a “tell us before 10am” clause. This was posted on a small sign in the check-in area—something easy to miss and not explained at check-in. Instead of handling the situation with a customer-first approach, it was simply pointed out to me as if that excused the lack of service. When I pressed more firmly, I was met with condescension and told, “there is no need for attitude.” That’s not what I expect when paying premium rates. Overall, this Motel 6 is overpriced, offers small and mediocre rooms, and fails on basic service standards. The only positive was the housekeeping staff, but beyond that, it’s simply not worth the money.

Staff is very kind and helpful! We are grateful to get the oil removed wipes to remove the nature oil from the ocean.

Very nice for a decent price in Santa Barbara. 1 mi walk to pier. The beach is literally across the street. Room was super clean and served its purpose.

The location was great just across from the beach, the room had a slight view to the ocean. Room was clean and comfortable. The room wasn’t very sound proof so there was some noise at night, but thankfully didn’t have any very loud neighbors.

Location can’t be beat! Room was clean and renovated and just what we needed for our 3 night stay. Big thanks to Omar for accommodating our requests. Pool is nice perk. Spent some time there as well as the ‘Barbra Club’ on the beach, 1 block from the Motel. Rented electric bikes from BCycle…there is a hub right along the bike path across from the motel. Highly suggest. Overall, very good experience. Thank you!

All the staff members were fantastic! However, there were glitches, partly due to Hotels.com and partly the actual computer system onsite. There is no "ocean view"; yet, it was confirmed that I would have an "ocean view". The location is a lovely walk down to East Beach, so not so bad. But, there needs to be more accurate descriptions.

It was near the beach, but otherwise it was just a bed-bug infested motel. The staff member who checked me in was not helpful regarding my concerns and would not put me in a different room without trying to charge me an additional $450. The "VIP perk" for my $1500 stay was the cheapest bottle of wine possible - a Charles Shaw chardonnay that costs $3.50 at Trader Joe's. The coffee in the lobby was awful and there was no complimentary continental breakfast.

Room was not ready an hour after check in time and put us by the laundry room and they were doing laundry late when we were trying to sleep! Cute room with fridge but would have liked a microwave and coffee. Probably will never stay there again.

I LOVED that it was so close to the beach. Very Walkable. It was easy for me to get around from that location. I did not like that there was no coffee in the room or an Iron.

Need to be refunded, not clean, very small & made me claustrophobic, pet hair (allergic to pets, got sick,) dust, ants & other dark insects in bathroom My partner felt so uneasy wanted to sleep in the car, Keurig did not work. Train track noise, no ocean views, small beds and linens are rough.
