A dream come true. Every minute of the stay was amazing. The pool, the bar, the staff, the room, the balcony, the food, the drinks. My favourite stay in a hotel. Like everrrr.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience because of how poorly this situation was handled. I stayed at this hotel for nearly five nights as part of my best friend’s wedding. Around 15 members of our wedding group were also staying here, so we brought a lot of business to the hotel. Everything seemed fine until I accidentally left my insulated medication case in the room refrigerator after checking out. The case contained ice packs and a very expensive prescription medication that I take to help regulate my blood sugar. When I contacted the hotel, I was repeatedly given the runaround and had an extremely difficult time getting anyone to let me speak with a manager. Eventually, the hotel located my medication case and the ice packs I had left behind—but the medication inside had somehow disappeared. I was told that room service, not housekeeping, clears the refrigerators. Despite the case and everything else being found, my medication was never returned, and no one could explain what happened to it. Because I was traveling throughout Europe for a month, I urgently needed this medication. I had to find a doctor in Lisbon to issue a new prescription and pay nearly €280 (about $325 USD) out of pocket to replace it. My doctor in the United States could not send a replacement prescription internationally. What disappointed was the manager’s response. Instead of showing concern or offering to investigate what happened, I was asked, “Do you expect

This was our second stay at Palacio in the past few years. Absolutely everything about this place is next level exquisite! The staff, amazing and friendly. The feel, historical luxury but somehow without any pretentiousness. Great location, nice walk beside the Atlantic to get from Estoril into Cascais. Breakfast absolutely devine! Great pool that invites you to spend hours relaxing next to it with the backdrop of this beautiful grand old hotel. This place is a must stay if in this area!
