Motel 6-Canton, GA

They always say you get what you pay for well, I will agree with that after staying here. Everything reeked of cigarette smokes although it’s smoke-free. Your breakfast bar consist of coffee with no sugar just creamer NO food. 4 vending machines in the place. Owned by two different companies. 2 of them out of service so you literally have to leave to go get something to eat or snack on. I’d like to know where the deli is in this place that they advertise for food They do have soap, cheap razors, toothbrush, and toothpaste that you can buy in the vending machines for $3 each. Floors are dirty, cracked tiles everywhere that you can fall into, holes in the walls and ceilings. No trim just open gaps in the walls, pictures falling apart on the wall. Nothing to sit on but the bed. Bathroom door doesn’t close and it doesn’t open all the way because of the towel rack that is oversized behind the door. Bathroom had hair everywhere in the sink, floor and tub. Commode was dirty. No blankets. I slept on top of the sheets. I always travel with my disinfectant spray & this room needed it. I used half the bottle to soak everything!! Do not stay here.

Kind of out-of-the-way. There was no comforter on the bed. There was no Kleenex in the room. There was no refrigerator in the room. There was no ice machine on my floor. Lots of noise late into the night from other guests in the parking lot. Often no one at the front desk.

Upon check in the air was not working in lobby or walkways. There were fans in walkways on room floors because they claim they had just cleaned the carpets and they needed to dry. Elevator inspection expired 9/2025 and when I asked about it the staff advised it doesn’t expire until January 2026 they had just not posted the proper stickers. I chose the stairs after that. Getting into the room, there were several dead and live roaches all over the room. I brought my cats with me so they took care of those. Shower pressure was very low. Had to hold toilet handle for long period for it to flush all the way. Air conditioning was barely functioning but it was cooler outside so wasn’t horribly worried about that. Overall will never stay at this facility again.

Don't be fooled by their photos. This property is very dated and dirty. In the room there was paint peeling, dirty floors, dirty shower. The continental breakfast was coffee and cocoa puffs served from a gal ziplock bag. Everything else was from vending machines. The vending machine on 2nd floor was out of order. The other guests were loud and the sound travels. There was someone living in their car in parking lot.

At check in the front desk staff was rude and short until she figured out what was going on with our reservation, then her attitude changed. When we got to our room, One of the beds was off the platform and I had to fix it. The cover to the A/C was also barely held on by masking tape. When I got in the shower that evening and turned on the water, there was water spraying up from behind the shower head and I had to twist it on more to stop the back spray. The beds were comfortable. The 3rd day of our stay the elevator broke and we had to take the stairs. The stairwells smelled like urine horribly and we tried to hold our breath until we got to our floor. The elevator was broken for the last two days of our stay. All of the ice machines were broke and one of the two vending machines weren’t working. There also seemed to be a strong smell of smoke (cigarette and Marijuana) each evening even though it is a non-smoking hotel.

point to consider, change the location of the trash can since the smell is the first thing you notice when leaving the elevator

We were on the 4th floor and the elevator was broken. Many of the staircase banisters were broken/loose, and the bed was very hard. The room itself was quite spacious and the bartop area with sink was a nice touch. The floor was sticky with pine sap though, so we had to wear our shoes the whole time. It was fefinitely not the worst place we've ever stayed, but not the best either. I gove it a solid middle.of the road C.

I was very disappointed. It wasn't clean and it was extremely run down. The bedroom, entry, lounge, the carpeting everywhere is not clean and falling apart. Ice machine and drinking fountain were not working. I will be sleeping in my car and just using the sink and toilet. The woman who checked me in is very nice. It's very deceptive because the outside in the front of the building seems to be remodeled.

Everything was good although there is roaches so they need to be sprayed. I also paid $77 one night and it was supposed to be $66 and the next night I paid $44 so not understanding that. Other then that it was good.

No hot water in the shower , roaches. Nasty the outside looks good but will not recommend. Sorry.

We stayed for 7 nights while on vacation. After the 2nd day, we discovered several cockroaches in our room and bathroom area. We checked behind the vinyl trim on the floor and saw evidence of even more. We alerted hotel staff and they said they could have someone come spray the room and we asked for a different room. We were given a different room and checked it pretty thoroughly for bugs before moving our stuff into it. 2 days later, more bugs, albeit small ones and only 1 or 2 a day. We purchased roach bait to put in the room and made sure everything was sealed and closed up. Upon checkout, we once again notified staff about the roach issue. They didn’t seem too concerned, so it is my assumption that they are aware of it and spray every room upon guest checkout to attempt to address it. Would be fine if you are staying overnight, but anything more than a weekend, you can expect that you will probably have them in your room at some point.

The front desk was staffed by friendly helpful people. Our room was in disrepair and the bathroom sink not only didnt have hot water, it hosted roaches. The mattress was worn out. The room door didnt close properly and there was a fairly large gap at the frame. Outside the building there were a lot of people in the parking lot and it was hard to tell if they actually belonged there, ir were just using the lot for "business". Other residents were very noisy at all hours, slamming doors and talking loudly in the hallway.

The Front desk staff were excellent and very kind. The room was pretty bad. The frame for the box spring of the bed had a large piece of metal sticking out from one corner that would definitely take out an ankle if someone was not careful. There are no amenities in the bathroom at all. Other than soap, that. Is it ....no hair dryer or anything like that. Which is understandable for the price paid, but the 3 different types of insects and bugs I had to kill in the bathroom each night and morning were not. .I had Booked about 7 days and asked for a cancelation of the remaining 5 and they were quite nice and refunded it right away. The building was nice, parking area very well Lit and I felt safe in the area and in the hotel but it needs a good refreshing.

Property may be a haven for homeless. 8. Stayed on the 4th floor and the smell of marijuana was extremely strong. 9. Trash cans in the hallways and outside overflowing with trash. 10. Honestly…the most unsafe place and most disgusting room we have ever stayed in. I guess there is a reason this place is so cheap. I’ve stayed at many Motel 6 over the last 30 or so years and this one is by far the worst one I’ve ever been in.

First room when I got there the A/C did not work. Changed rooms, woke up the next morning to roaches. They said they would spray the room. They sprayed the room 2 twice that day. Next morning woke up to a roach under my pillow got dressed went to go somewhere and had a roach on my shirt when I got into my vehicle that was the last straw. I went in told them the problem once again. Got my things and checked out. Had to shake all of my clothes out and everything I had when I got to my vehicle did not want to take any home with me. Do not recommend this place to stay.

Honest review. The area is fine. Adjacent to Walmart. This hotel appears in the photos to be nicer than it is. It is dated, needs repairs, and was marginally clean. The room had 2 towels, 1 bath cloth with 3 registered guests. The desk workers were washing and drying towels as another guest asked as I was checking in. So, at that point, there were none additional available. It was a nonsmoking room, but had a slight smell of smoke. Its a get what you pay for type of place.

Aside from the price and not having any bugs that I noticed the phone and tv were broke. Everything was in disrepair. No daily cleaning. Room only had 1 blanket for 2 beds and although we requested one the first 2 nights we only got one on our last night. Toilet clogged and front desk gave us a plunger to use ourselves. Walls are paper thin. Staff was pleasant but I guess we’re dealing with understaffing and probably underfunding.

Cleanliness was lacking in the room and hallways. No Wi-Fi password issued. Ice machine broken. Doors not maintained. Friendly desk clerk. Bedding and beds worn.

The room was very spacious and clean but severely lacking in amenities. We paid for 2 deluxe rooms that include a minifridge and microwave but only one had them. There are no blankets, just a flat sheet. The mattresses varies in quality with some very soft and others very hard. The beds are platform beds so the mattress slides around and has to be constantly fixed. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything, not recommended if you are a light sleeper. Staff were friendly and it's a good value if traveling with pets.

The check-in was awesome (pay that front desk woman more please). She even gave me an iron when asked for one. The only thing was the door to the room (right off the elevator), had a serious gap in it to the frame. You couldn't see inside the room (from the outside), but not by much. The walls aren't real thick either, because I heard the other room next to us. Other than that, all else was good for the price. Not sure I would book again, and just spend a little more for a different place. Served it's purpose though.

It was an ok place, bed clean as well as bathroom. Internet was poor, surroundings rooms extremely loud.

Room was empty. A bed, desk and one plastic chair. No counter space in bathroom. Room should have been no more than $50.00

Clean room and very friendly staff

I didn't like the fact that I didn't get to check in till 5:30 p.m. and I was there at 8:00 a.m. that was very very frustrating and come to find out after they told me they had no rooms the room that I got had been open for a couple of days so that room was not occupied that was very frustrating

The motel was not clean. Staffs are not friendly.

Great stay for quick stop overnight. Very clean and quiet. Front desk check in couldn’t have nicer.

Most all the staff is good with the exception of a few and housekeeping does a wonderful job however we were on the 4th floor we are both handicapped and they're elevator after the fact that we were given our room quit working we got no assistance offered from the motel I tracked down some kid if it wasn't for him we would have never made it to our automobile and one thing that's really aggravating which everyone's stressed there's never anyone at the front desk especially at night so you have to stand there and you have to holler hello hello and then they'll be outside or come from somewhere else and if you needed to hurry and get back to your room or whatever so you just needed a room key you got to stand there and stand there and stand there that's frustrating

The staff here are very friendy and professional amd most definitely made me feel welcomed. All the rooms ive stayed in have been stocked well wit towels, and toiletries and all that, and have been pretty clean and tidy. Also love the prices and deals here. Seems like the most affordable motel in town! Would recommend

Very convenient location

Reasonably priced and convenient location. Basic needs are met. I recommend it.

It doesn\'t matter if you stay in a non-smoking room because the staff allows smoking throughout the entire hotel. My room stunk, the beds stunk, everything in my suitcase smelled the next day. I mentioned it to the front desk attendant and he responded with "what can you do" I guess your job was out of the question. Guest parking isn\'t enforced here so homeless people and car campers filled the lot and I had to park elsewhere. The secondary exits were left propped open and homeless druggies were camping in the stairwell. I\'m not sure what happened in the 3 years since I stayed here last but I will NEVER stay here again nor would I recommend anyone with kids or allergies or anyone worried about their general safety stay here.

We stayed here upon the recommendation of a friend. Upon check-in, the lady barely said a word to us and basically just handed me our key card. We went to our room and the minute we stepped off the elevator, the hallway reeked of marijuana. There were two sketchy looking people hanging out in the hallway. My husband made a comment about how it “smelled like weed” and the loiterers must have heard what he said and scattered like cockroaches. Our room was good. It was clean and served out purpose of sleeping for the night. We left to go to the hospital to stay for the rest of the afternoon. When we came back, there were two cop cars parked out front talking to another sketchy person. We went into the lobby and there were more police officers in there trying to keep the peace between several people, who again, looked like they have addiction problems. We went to our room and didn’t come back out until we checked out around 8 am the next morning. The checkout person was different and again, not friendly at all. We will not be back.

My stay at the Motel 6 in Canton served it purpose. Nice safe area with lots of food and shopping nearby. The staff was wonderful and helpful! My room was clean but smaller then I expected. The lobby is sparse, no comfortable place to hangout.

Smelled like urine , dogs barked inside the building all night , two ladies argued over Mr Joes brown sheets he left at 4:30 am outside the doors. Says they offer free grab breakfast but it’s vending machines that aren’t free .

My husband and I have stayed here about 5 times. Its always been a friendly environment. This time I could tell a big difference in how clean the room looked and smelled. The night manager Charles was very friendly and helpful as was the morning manager . The only recommendation I would have is they need a coffee pot in the room or coffe longer in the lobby and more options for creamer and stuff. Other than that its worth the money.

The upkeep was pleasantly surprising for a motel. The check in process was quick and to the point, and the staff was welcoming. Any issues were addressed rapidly with accuracy and precision. The location is convenient, children friendly and gives access to the near by shopping center and surrounding eateries... I would suggest placing refrigerators in every room and serving hot chocolate as well as coffee.
