Just a lovely hotel perhaps a five minute walk (and a world away) from the lively heart of Trestevere. The hotel was formerly a convent and retains the tranquility and grace that comes with that, along with a thoroughly updated and modernized interior. One of our favorite hotels anywhere!

Beautifully renovated, 350 year old convent. Staff was pleasant and amenities were satisfactory. Great restaurant and bistro in the hotel, panoramic rooftop, on-site parking, close to the heart of Trastevere. We’ll be back.

Very unique to stay in an old monastery. But the room we stayed in was very small and simple. We were ground level and our view was cars parked in front of the windows, the smell of the room was humid and musty and we didn't want to open the windows being on the street. Also our maid failed to clean our room properly and replace our towels linens and coffee.

This property was absolutely beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice! Room 202 had a view of the courtyard that was stunning! Every night I would open the window for the night breeze (I like cold winter nights) to hear the softly playing music from below & I absolutely loved every minute of it! The hotel was very clean & well kept and my room was beautiful. So easy to walk to many different woderful restaurants!

A recepção do hotel é excelente! Ótimos funcionários! Achei a arrumação do quarto razoável! Estava limpo, mas algumas peças d roupas permaneceram do mesmo jeito q deixei. A primeira vista parecia q o quarto não tinha sido arrumado. Mas adentrando, a cama estava arrumada e o lixo retirado. Banheiro extremamente limpo. Na nossa chegada, optamos por almoçar no hotel mesmo, e estava delicioso! Mas o preço estava mais caro do que um jantar em Paris. A pessoa deve considerar bastante antes d fazer sua refeição lá. Custou 99 euros. No checkout,pagamos 45 euros d taxa da cidade e mais 25 euros de serviço. Achei a estadia mais cara q Paris . Eu recomendo, porém pense nos custos. Voltaria a ficar lá com ctz. Pra mim, tudo valeu a pena.

I highly advise against staying at this property. The hotel does an excellent job at marketing themselves as a luxury hotel and the photos they share certainly give that impression however the rooms are very run down and even dirty. The room that they initially put us in had a very strong odor of smoke and given that I am pregnant I did not feel comfortable staying there. They moved me to another room but honestly the whole experience was very disappointing. I am very surprised they have 4 stars given the level of cleanliness.

I booked a room in this hotel guided by the photos and opinions of previous guests, I got a room outside the hotel on another street, in a building outside the hotel, not very nice that had nothing to do with the hotel, at no time did I enjoy the amenities of the hotel, for me I felt like I was staying somewhere else. It was disappointing. The staff's explanation was that I booked an economical room. I won't return because the advertising seemed dishonest to me without warning about this detail.

Excellent hotel, absolutely gorgeous room and facilities. The staff are lovely and the food is excellent. Unfortunately the rooms are not very sound proof, even though they’re beautiful, so if you’re a light sleeper it can affect you. Otherwise, 5 stars! We’ll be back next time in Roma.

Many of the rooms overlook the street and are extremely noisy at night. Front desk staff said they were too busy to see if we could switch rooms and told us we should have booked higher priced rooms overlooking the garden if we wanted quiet. Nice to know in advance.

There was misrepresentation in the room that we were provided. We had to go out and down an alleyway to get to our door. It was not in the original part of the hotel. There was not easy access the room was musty, smelling very poorly decorated, and as you can see by the pictures looking out the window, not a good atmosphere we would’ve loved to have stayed in the hotel in the nice rooms and had an upgrade, but we were refused that and told there were no rooms available. Very disappointed in that stay.

This hotel was beautiful and the staff made it exceptionally comfortable. Our room was a Suite Garden, and it was spacious with a bedroom and sitting room. Breakfast was included with this room and an absolute must, because it was so enjoyable! I highly recommend this hotel. My husband and I walked everywhere. The Vatican was a 30 minute walk but was not difficult and there were shops and restaurants a short walk away. This was a 5 star stay in every way!

This is a lovely property with helpful staff, terrific breakfasts and situated as advertised. However I would avoid this hotel. My booking was a poor decision but fortunately it was only for two nights. The problem is the rooms are tiny. No sofa, no chair, only one nightstand and the “desk” was a makeup table on which a laptop barely fit. The only “chair” was a low stool with no back. It was impossible to sit and read. Very uncomfortable and unusable except to sleep. I should also add that the small throw rug, which covered 1/2 the floor, was not secured and slid in such a way as to create a hazard - and when I put the sole nightstand on top of it the staff removed the weight to recreate the tort factory. The bathroom was so small there is no room to change one’s mind. The shower could not be used by a normal size person. The shower head sprayed water all over the room because the fitting was incorrect - the spray went over the top of the ill-fitting shower door. (A chat with the front desk did not lead to a repair.) The WiFi was less than ideal even for my brand new top of the line Apple computer and iPhone. The strength of signal was barely sufficient. In order to initially log on one has to sign in to a portal and agree to receive massive quantities of spam advertising, requiring wasted effort to change settings to disregard. On top of the surprisingly high rates, I made a mistake and agreed to pay an additional 40 Euros a night for the view. Not worth 4 cents

The hotel is broken into a main and annex building. They are close to each other but the main building is significantly nicer than the annex. I had no indication during booking that I would be made to walk and stay in a separate, less safe, less nice building.

the first problem was as soon as we got to our room, when the tap at the sink was turned on, the faucet flew off and hit me, water sprayed everywhere, my clothes my toiletries were soaked.This was repaired but no apologies from anyone. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the first night for a very long time, finally shut off, no apologies. At checkout we were extremely delayed as the hotel had not collected the city tax, which at every other hotel we stayed at was due & paid upon check in. This caused us to keep our taxi waiting, again no apologies. The fire alarm went off again the morning we were checking out.

When we arrived we were met with not a very friendly personnel at the reception. We got a room outside of the hotel, in a dark side street of the hotel. The staff at the hotel had not understood how to run a good hotel, would recommend the management to reconsider their staffing.

Our stay was perfect from start to finish. My daughter and i stayed for 4 days. Staff was wonderful and our room was perfect. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast had a wide assortment of food to enjoy. Would highly recommend if you have the chance to stay at this property. We walked to our destinations every day!! Loved it and would try to book in the future!!!

I have stayed at this hotel several times before - and that is because I really LOVE Donna Camilla Savelli! The atmosphere is fantastic, breakfast is great, the location is perfect, with lots of cosy restaurants a three-minute walk away, and lots of fabulous historic sights within easy reach. And - best of all - the staff members are AMAZING! They are all so friendly and helpful, and they are attentive without ever intruding in any way. I can only congratulate you all on your fantastic achievement.

We loved staying at Donna Camilla. The staff was very accommodating and made us feel very welcomed. They went above and beyond for us such as calling us cabs, keeping our luggage after we checked out, and helping us extend our stay. We enjoyed our stay and if we find ourselves in Rome again we would stay at Donna Camilla.

1. Property clean and exterior of hotel very cool. 2. Bedroom was okay. Bed was okay but poor water pressure. 3. Check in staff nice but cold at times and not always forthcoming with information. (No concierge.service). Would suggest giving their patrons a short cheat sheet of what’s in the neighborhood - like restaurants, pharmacies, attractions, etc 4. Other staff were cordial. 5. Breakfast staff manager was rude. We were 10-15 mins late for breakfast, saw that there were pastries left so grabbed a few without asking for anything else (not even coffee). We figured better to eat than throw out food. Problem started when manager had 2 staff members approach us: A. Asked for our room number (never happened before nor heard others asked). B. Manager sent a second woman over to us telling us that breakfast over at 1030am. And proceeded to ask if breakfast was included in our hotel rate and if we were checking out. At this point I was expecting to hear we were going to be charged for leftover foods. I would have appreciated it the manager/supervisor came over to me at the beginning and said we can’t serve you since it’s after hours. I’d have been fine with that and not eat rather than deal with her Immature behavior and ordering her staff to do her job and try to reprimand me. Customer service is not their strongest attributes. They need some simple lessons. Lastly, would have been nice to have known the rooftop lounge was going to be closed before arriving

The hotel itself could not be more perfectly positioned. Local bars. shops and restaurants are only a few minutes walk. You can walk 15 minutes to cross the river in to the main city and be looking at the Pantheon in no time at all. The roof terrace has amazing views and is great for a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Every member of staff were polite and attentive. The hotel restaurant also serves fantastic food. If I return to Rome I would not hesitate to book again.

Excelente hotel! Equipe muito prestativa e educada. O hotel fica bem próximo ao centro de Trastevere, e diria que relativamente próxima a todos as atrações mais importantes de Roma/Vaticano. Leva aproximadamente uns 15-30 minutos no máximo caminhando, porém é uma delícia para descobrir novos lugares, ir comendo admirando as paisagens. A acomodação em si é bastante confortável. Just a lovely hotel perhaps a five minute walk (and a world away) from the lively heart of Trestevere. The hotel was formerly a convent and retains the tranquility and grace that comes with that, along with a thoroughly updated and modernized interior. One of our favorite hotels anywhere!

Beautiful, peaceful hotel, historical building with lovely helpful staff and amazing breakfast. The courtyard is a sanctuary after touring around and the view from the roof is fabulous. Trastevere is easy walking distance to all attractions and transport and has many amazing restaurants.

Ficamos em um quarto renovado e muito bom. O ar funcionava muito bem (importante no verão em Roma). A localização foi muito boa, longe da bagunça e barulho mas perto dos melhores restaurantes e á 15-20 min a pé das atrações principais. Café da manhã IMPECÁVEL e todos do hotel muito prestativos e eficientes.

Lovely stay in Roma! The location is special, beautiful historic building, sweet courtyard. We had a balcony from our room which was very nice. Room was fine. Clean. Great breakfast. It isn’t best for people with limited mobility to go out for dinner etc as the public transport in the immediate vicinity is limited. A lot of walking which is good with us. Trastevere the area is hip & has great bars/restaurants.

Beautiful hotel. A few minutes walk to trastevre area. 30 minutes from airport. Less than $20 to the train station but $55 to airport. Beware of some taxi drivers in the city. Only use ones that use the meter to charge to get round town. We walked almost everywhere. Walked about 9-10 miles a day.

The hotel is beautiful! The room was relaxing and very comfortable. The service impeccable!! The front desk staff is warm and welcoming and very helpful. The garden is a lovely place to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast or dinner and drinks in the evening. The food is very good and there is a wide variety for breakfast.

Was on our Honeymoon and it was also my wife's birthday. I informed the hotel on numerous occasions and asked for special attention but was told nothing was available. No mention of either was made by staff. Breakfast was set-up well but was not very well done. Eggs were daily the wateriest I've ever seen. Bacon was consistently swimming in grease. Breakfast sausage was hot dogs. Pancakes were rubbery and flat. Boiled eggs were cold. I ate yogurt everyday after trying the aforementioned. The smoothies were waterier than the juice was and the juice wasn't very good. The pastries were plain and dull. They had small bottles of sparkling wine at breakfast, but it was warm. The restaurant's dinner menu was limited and not very appealing. After their breakfast service I was unwilling to try.The first room we got had 2 steps down from the door which was odd and a supposed King size bed made up of 2 double beds. After 1 night we demanded a King size bed. The rooms were small. The showers were very small stalls. Everything felt very cramped. Not impressed. A "4 star" hotel that was trying to pretend to be a 5 and came across more like a 3. Wish I had gone somewhere else for our Honeymoon and Birthday!

Even for Rome the place is overpriced: way over 400$ without breakfast and the room as actually in a different building around a corner so you have to walk on the street to get into the lobby and facilities. Warming: for breakfast they serve the worst coffee in Italy: some kind of grayish liquid. The best thing was a shower with good pressure.

This hotel was beautiful and the staff made it exceptionally comfortable. Our room was a Suite Garden, and it was spacious with a bedroom and sitting room. Breakfast was included with this room and an absolute must, because it was so enjoyable! I highly recommend this hotel. My husband and I walked everywhere. The Vatican was a 30 minute walk but was not difficult and there were shops and restaurants a short walk away. This was a 5 star stay in every way!

From check in until departure our time here was wonderful. Their garden was an oasis in the middle of the Rome heatwave, and all the staff were wonderful with our daughter. Close enough to walk and explore but felt peaceful and calm. Would love to return!

This is a charming hotel. The restaurant Contempo served an amazing dinner with the most attentive staff. The dishes were all artfully prepared and very mindful of my allergies. The chef sent over homemade cookies at the end of the meal specifically made for me! Overall great stay with a beautiful garden and church right in the hotel.

A most delightful experience! The hotel is beautiful, and the service perfect. Elegant without being pretentious. The breakfasts in the beautiful courtyard garden were a highlight. The concierge helped arrange amazing excursions. The right place to practice “Il dolce far niente”! When we back in Rome, this is where we will stay.
