Pros: Checkin was quick Con 1: specifically rented a room here because it is listed as pet friendly. Although pets are allowed and the fee was reasonable there is essentially no place on the property to “walk” a dog. A 2 foot strip of grass that if you aren’t very careful or lost your footing would result in you tumbling down into a what I can only call a pit of death. We visited in the winter so the kudzu had died off but during the warm seasons if you or your pet fell down in there you’d never be recovered. The only other area was a rocky square of grass that stood in about an inch of water. No place to deposit your pets poop either, so there was piles of other animals crap everywhere in this small area. I bagged up what my pet left and had to deposit it in a can at the base of the stair right next or a room! Very unpleasant. Con 2: the refrigerator froze EVERYTHING SOLID I asked the lady that works there for help she came in the room and just said that’s just the way it is. Ummm okay?? My diabetic dogs insulin was frozen solid! Had to call around to doctors for a refill and get a prescription to refill it and pay to have it replaced. Then since I was terrified to put it back in the refrigerator and had to keep it chilled with ice packs. Very annoying and could have potentially cause my dog to die had I not been able to get a refill. Con 3: The bed was like sleeping on a mattress of rocks I had to get a steroid injection for my back when I got home.

Nice just older facility; pet friendly but they didn't mention you couldnt get a king room with a pet. Two queens in the older unrenovated section of hotel is pet sectio where as online photos show newer rooms.

I thought that the room was pretty clean and the free breakfast was very good for a small motel. On the other hand, the parking lot was very small and difficult to pull in and out of. Overall, for the price it was a decent night's stay. Not perfect but I'd stay there again if I was in the area.

Oh boy… I really hope this doesn’t make me sound spoiled compared to the other reviewers who have stayed here. I feel like most people who write lengthy reviews usually had something specific happen to them, so bear with me. This hotel area is fine. Dahlonega is a quiet town. It’s easy to get in and out of. Front parking is minimal. There is plenty of parking in the back but what is unfortunately about having a room in the front but parking in the back, their elevator is broken. So we had to climb 4 flights of stairs in the back but only 2 flights in the front of the building. The rooms need redone. Badly. Very outdated. Shower head with weak water pressure, the water from the sink with spider, dirt in the corners of door frames, and stains on towels. Cleanliness was manageable to an extent I guess. Except for the dead stink bug in the corner. This is where the specific concern comes into play. When we checked in, she gave us the wrong room number. Luckily no one was there but the room hadn’t been cleaned, beds undone. Out of all the jobs that are required of a hotel, a fresh and correct room is the first of their job. Leaving us with a terrible impression from the start. I thought the bed was ok, but some of my family woke up feeling uncomfortable. No padding on the mattress at all. The chairs were fine. I didn’t want to sit in the fabric chair. Tv was fine. The screen was dark and we couldn’t adjust it. I didn’t try any of the other items. not great but not bad.

Staff was nice and helpful. Pool was warm and clean. Everything needs updating for sure. Breakfast was not great. Very limited on what they offered and extremely limited on seating. Very tight. Many just had to get something and take it back to their rooms.

Breakfast was fresh and plentiful even at 8:30. Breakfast room is limited seating, so best to go early. Tricky front entrance due to location, but plenty parking in rear of building. The room was clean and warm, plenty of hot water. Extra blanket and pillow in drawer if needed, but bedding is more than adequate as is. Refrig, microwave and coffe pot also clean. Look up and the stucco ceiling has a design and is in good shape! (I like stucco ceilings that are done well). I would definitely stay here again. Excellent choice when on a budget.

It was convenient location but the room was not very clean. The sheets even had previous stains even though it was washed. I recommend taking more attention to the cleanliness of the rooms. Regardless of being a cheaper end hotel. We all still deserve to sleep somewhere clean.

The walls are fairly thin. We heard noises all night long. It is a pretty nice hotel with the exception of housekeeping. I open the ice bucket to find mold growing all over the inside. We also found mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. I took pictures and went to the front desk. He told me they would get a fresh clean bucket and shower curtain. They did neither. He sent someone that came up and cleaned the bucket. They NEVER did anything about the shower curtain. Overall, 3 star is a decent rating for that hotel. But there is NOT A CHANCE that we will ever stay there again.

The room was disgusting. The door had huge gaps that allowed bugs and daylight in. Not even close to being sealed properly. The room was full of flies. We wouldn’t stay there. We actually got our money back and left within an hour of checking in.

The first room I checked into had fruit flies swarming around the AC, so I requested a room change. The new room still had fruit flies, though not nearly as many. One of the beds’ sheets smelled like perfumed lotion, I couldn’t say if they weren’t changed or if the housekeeper has an obsession with bath and bodywork’s. And I’m pretty sure the soap bar in the shower was in an opened package and quite possibly used. Also, the doors barely latch closed. Thankfully I had a safety lock and alarm with me, but the door situation made me very nervous. The girl at the front desk was very friendly. I was not impressed and will stay elsewhere for my next visit.

The associate at the front office wasn’t organized. She gave us a room that wasn’t even ready. We had to wait in the cold for 20 mins. for our room. Now the cleaning staff was nice and left us extra towels and amenities. But when we got in the room it had a strange smell, we found former guests socks and makeup brushes on the floor. Other than that the room was suitable for our needs and the hotel was convenient to downtown.

Stayed here for a couple of days to visit Amicalola Falls st Park, which is about 20 min from the hotel. Our stay was quite comfy, brkfst was good and the room was clean and spacious. The front desk Manager was very friendly and helpful. We sure enjoyed our stay.

I recently went hiking and decided to spend one night in Dahlonega. Since it was just me, I didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money on a hotel so I try to find the closest cheapest option that seemed acceptable. I have tended to have good luck with Quality Inn, and this one was no exception. It was definitely dated, but everything was well maintained and in working condition. It was very clean. The staff is very friendly and courteous, and the process to check in and check out is quite easy. Parking is also really easy. There is a free breakfast, but I did not eat it. I went to a local place instead. This does have a nice view if you are in the back of the hotel. It is about a half mile walk to the city center. There’s a crosswalk right in front of the street and if you use that crosswalk, you can have sidewalk all the way into town. It’s a fairly easy walk and the area is not bad.

Oh boy… I really hope this doesn’t make me sound spoiled compared to the other reviewers who have stayed here. I feel like most people who write lengthy reviews usually had something specific happen to them, so bear with me. This hotel area is fine. Dahlonega is a quiet town. It’s easy to get in and out of. Front parking is minimal. There is plenty of parking in the back but what is unfortunately about having a room in the front but parking in the back, their elevator is broken. So we had to climb 4 flights of stairs in the back but only 2 flights in the front of the building. The rooms need redone. Badly. Very outdated. Shower head with weak water pressure, the water from the sink with spider, dirt in the corners of door frames, and stains on towels. Cleanliness was manageable to an extent I guess. Except for the dead stink bug in the corner. This is where the specific concern comes into play. When we checked in, she gave us the wrong room number. Luckily no one was there but the room hadn’t been cleaned, beds undone. Out of all the jobs that are required of a hotel, a fresh and correct room is the first of their job. Leaving us with a terrible impression from the start. I thought the bed was ok, but some of my family woke up feeling uncomfortable. No padding on the mattress at all. The chairs were fine. I didn’t want to sit in the fabric chair. Tv was fine. The screen was dark and we couldn’t adjust it. I didn’t try any of the other items. not great but not bad.

We checked in very late. Front desk was friendly and quick. The area is nice and it's quiet. Room was very comfortable other than the small water closet/bathroom. No big deal. Bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Our door wouldn’t lock, the bathroom was dirty and the whole establishment was sketchy. The front attendant was less than helpful. Terrible experience and would not recommend.

This property was clean, quite and in good condition. Service was outstanding.... I left my computer in the room when we checked out. The staff called withing 15 minutes and held it until we came back. This was awesome!!! Thank you!

The associate at the front office wasn’t organized. She gave us a room that wasn’t even ready. We had to wait in the cold for 20 mins. for our room. Now the cleaning staff was nice and left us extra towels and amenities. But when we got in the room it had a strange smell, we found former guests socks and makeup brushes on the floor. Other than that the room was suitable for our needs and the hotel was convenient to downtown.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable! I highly recommend this hotel and will be staying there again in the near future! Just half a mile from Town Square yet convenient to many other things to do. It’s quiet, too.

I recently went hiking and decided to spend one night in Dahlonega. Since it was just me, I didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money on a hotel so I try to find the closest cheapest option that seemed acceptable. I have tended to have good luck with Quality Inn, and this one was no exception. It was definitely dated, but everything was well maintained and in working condition. It was very clean. The staff is very friendly and courteous, and the process to check in and check out is quite easy. Parking is also really easy. There is a free breakfast, but I did not eat it. I went to a local place instead. This does have a nice view if you are in the back of the hotel. It is about a half mile walk to the city center. There’s a crosswalk right in front of the street and if you use that crosswalk, you can have sidewalk all the way into town. It’s a fairly easy walk and the area is not bad.

Breakfast was fresh and plentiful even at 8:30. Breakfast room is limited seating, so best to go early. Tricky front entrance due to location, but plenty parking in rear of building. The room was clean and warm, plenty of hot water. Extra blanket and pillow in drawer if needed, but bedding is more than adequate as is. Refrig, microwave and coffe pot also clean. Look up and the stucco ceiling has a design and is in good shape! (I like stucco ceilings that are done well). I would definitely stay here again. Excellent choice when on a budget.

Bathroom door didn’t shut easily and there was very little water pressure. DirectTV provided many viewing options but lacked GameShow Network.

I thought that the room was pretty clean and the free breakfast was very good for a small motel. On the other hand, the parking lot was very small and difficult to pull in and out of. Overall, for the price it was a decent night's stay. Not perfect but I'd stay there again if I was in the area.

Staff was nice and helpful. Pool was warm and clean. Everything needs updating for sure. Breakfast was not great. Very limited on what they offered and extremely limited on seating. Very tight. Many just had to get something and take it back to their rooms.
