Quality Inn Hays I-70

The tub looked stained and nasty, toilet wouldnt work found out water was shut off because it runs constantly, booked here for hot tub advertised online and they dont even have one.

The person at the desk was rude! The parking area was bad! The breakfast juice bar was not cold, and the first day it didn’t even work!

BECAUSE PLEASE EXCUSE MY SPELLING *CARPET FILTHY WE HAD TO PUT TOWELS OVER THE CARPET TO WALK AROUND THE ROOM *HAND BAR IN THE SHOWER WAS BROKEN AND DID NOT EVEN FIT THE HOLES SO WATER WAS GOING IN THE WALL BEHIND THE SHOWER WALL * RESDERVATIONS WERE CANCLED NOT BY US BUT THE HOTEL * ANOTHER FALILY HAD THE SAME ISSUE SAID THERE RESERVATION WAS CANCLED ASWELL. *PARKING SUCKED *BACK ENTRENCE TO OUR ROOM THE OWNERS FAMILYAND FRIENDS WERE USING THE BACK DOOR ENTRENCE AERIA AS A CAMP SITE MINI BBQ ,SMOKING WE EVEN HAD TO EXCUSE OUR WAY THRU TO GET TO THE DOOR . AERA WAS JUST NOT KEPT CLEAN DENNYS RESTURANT ON PROPERTY WAS CLOSED WHICH MADE EVERYTHING WORST

Overall, it was disappointing. The pool was tiny, old, and not the cleanest. The breakfast was supposed to go until 9, but at 830 the eggs and gravy had run out and the biscuits were hard. No one ever replenished the food. Worst of all, when I arrived, I waited at the desk for 10 minutes trying to get someone's attention. Finallyn I had to yell. A woman came down from upstairs where she had probably been sleeping. She was angry and criticized me for making noise while she finally checked us in. I said I had no choice, since I was not able to get anyone's attention any other way. I had tried ringing the bell, calling for help, exploring adjacent rooms, and searching the desk for a number. There was none. So I started yelling, getting louder and loader, until I finally got a response. I will NEVER stay here again!

Halls were filthy - looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in months. There was a hole in the wall in our room. Pool looked dirty and smelled like fish.

Avoid it like the plague. I didn't even make it to the room. The pool water was a murky yellow and the lobby was filled with "gentlemen" patronizing the electronic gaming machines. The woman at the front desk was polite but seemed unsuprised when I asked her to please cancel my reservation. I hope at some point Expedia takes more ownership in requiring hotels they list on their app to maintian basic standards of safety, security, and cleanliness.

The property was severely understaffed, the parking area was poorly lit, and I had to change rooms twice because of strong smoke and pet odors. I ended up leaving and finding another place to stay. I wasted $100 and want a refund.

I was very disappointed about the pool. I picked the hotel just for the pool, I had a great room. Was located just right the pool was perfect looking thru the window. So I got my suit on and went in to take a swim only to find it to possibly the ice melt from a ice burg.COLD!! Most indoor pools are heated .I was very disappointed!

It’s advertised as “family friendly” but they don’t have crib nor pack & play. The room ceiling already had several leaks from past rains, no repairs were done to fix it. No elevator to carry our luggage to the second floor, it was a very high price for the given quality. The only positive thing was breakfast.

The breakfast sucked. The biscuits were rock hard. The sausage gravy was runny like broth with chunks of sausage. The eggs where round frozen barely thawed. The carpet was filthy and old. The tub showed signs that it once had some kind of mat or something in it and left behind glue or whatever. We refused to shower in it. The tv channels where freezing or just not working. Fx and amc Didn't work at all. The channels that did work looked like i was watching a tv in the middle of vermont in the 60s. Snowy pics. It just sucked

Don’t stay here. The room was disgusting and falling apart. The bathroom was moldy with buggers on the wall. The shelf had been ripped off and not repaired. Carpet and upholstery was stained. Looked like a trap house! The final straw was the ice maker didn’t work and ESPN didn’t come in.

Puttied holes in the wall needing sanded and painted. Bathroom door didn’t stand a chance of closing all the way. Pulled back the bedspread and the sheets were so old they had little fabric balls all over. Hallways and stairs hadn’t been vacuumed in a while.

Shower, carpet and whole room very dirty and smells

Gross hotel. Dirty and cockroaches. My mom had a stroke so came to town in a hurry with no reservations. This was only hotel available. I came in late and got to early so only there a few hours thankfully.

Bed looked clean but bathrooms were gross. Had black mold on shower head. Toilettissue holder falling off wall. Noisy br fan.floor grout looked iffy. In my grandkids rm the ceiling was leaking water made floor EXTRA SLICK. management refused to refund money for 2nd rm. Also,the breakfast area was dirty and out of items both days. Syrup container was not cleaned for several days it appeared. Floors tables and walls had not been cleaned.

Sheets were dirty and carpet was in terrible condition. Pretty sure there were boogers stuck to the walls. You could hear EVERYTHING. There was trash and food under the beds. Our sheets looked like they had blood stains on them so my husband went down to get more sheets and staff handed him sheets that were wadded up in a ball and stained. Room was dirty and my daughter found a dead spider in her bed and hair. Asked for a refund/discount and was told “we don’t do that here.” Probably should have checked the reviews on this one before I booked. We definitely could have stayed somewhere nicer for $100 or less. I learned my lesson. There is no quality at this quality inn. Take your money elsewhere. Thankful we didn’t find any other “bugs,” but I slept fully clothed on top of the bedding with my own blanket. It was a rough night.

Arrived at the motel on March 31st at 6:00. First thing I was greeted with was a pile of dog poop at the front door. Clerk at the front desk was hard to understand. After spending 5 nights there, not once were the sheets changed or the bed made. The floor was filthy and never vacuumed one time during my stay. The wastebaskets were emptied twice while there. The bathtub was absolutely filthy. Not cleaned one time during my stay. After 2 days of not replacing the empty Kleenex box, I finally asked them for some Kleenex. After complaining about the filth in the room, I invited them to take a look at the room and all they said was that they believed me, but did nothing about it. Also, the FREE breakfast consisted of 1 choice of cereal and waffles. What a breakfast. This is absolutely the worst experience I've had staying in a motel. I will never stay in another Quality Inn again.

The property in general was pretty good, but they put us in a room where the air and heater didn’t work, the top was off, on the insides were exposed and were very dirty.

We booked two rooms and arrived at around 8:00 pm. No one was at the front desk, but they came within 2-3 minutes. Lobby was dingy and there is no clear place to park when you’re checking in. One room smelled horrible, doorway was worn, inside latch was difficult to latch, floors were severely stained, towel shelf/rack was pulled off the wall on one side, and shower curtain rod was falling off on one side. The other room didn’t smell, but carpet was stained, deadbolt didn’t lock, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. We didn’t realize he toilet and deadbolt issues until getting set up, so then we had to move to another room. This was around 9:30 and again there was no one at the desk. Walking to the front desk there was a room the smelled strongly of cooked fish that crept down the hallway. In both rooms we could hear doors slamming and people stomping around during the night. This wasn’t life or death stuff (well maybe the deadbolt could be), but the pictures and precious ratings did not align at all with our experience. In retrospect I would have gladly paid more for a better place. The place is easily accessible off I-70 and the breakfast was pretty nice, but when we got up in the morning we just wanted to get away from the place so we didn’t eat anything. If you’re fine sacrificing cleanliness to save some money, this place will be fine. For me and my group, the dirtiness was more than we were comfortable with.

I typically stay at Quality Inns because they are pretty consistent "quality" this is not one of those. In general a dingy facility, cable TV didnt work, hot water was warm at best. All in all it slept for 1 night on my long trip.

Staff was good. Room is good and clean. Hallway from back door has mud from a guest tracking it in.

The lady at the counter was rude. The room was awful...curtains barely hanging on the rod, parts of the trim were hanging down, our room was next to the managers and her children were crying and screaming. We left 10 minutes after we checked in. Did not feel safe staying there

We did not stay we are suppose to receive refund owner is violent and place is discusting I would never recommend this place

Easy and quick check-in

Black mold around shower fixtures. Took all day and four requests to get toilet fixed. Understaffed. No housekeeping service. Very dated. Pool was decent.

This Quality Inn was not understanding of the situation. Would not reimburse one night due to an emergency.

The room smelled weird, staff wasn’t too friendly and the breakfast food had mostly ran out by 7:30am. The bed was ok. There was a shirtless guy sitting in a chair outside the back entrance near midnight cussing up a storm as we entered the property. This wasn’t a good start to our stay.

I expected better for the price and name of the property. Think small town cheap ($50-$60) hotel that smells like curry, rough characters around and makes you check for bed bugs.

The hotel is very worn down. The walls In the hall have ripped wallpaper, carpet is filthy. The rooms need major overhaul. Hills in the walls they painted over, baseboards falling apart, we decided to not use the shower since it had what appeared to be mold in the clear calking around the faucet and dial. The silver bracket that covers the hole where the shower pipe comes from the wall was detached and hanging down, exposing the Sheetrock etc. there were a TON of kids running the halls till after 1130pm and again around 7am. Someone had a dog that was a loud barker also whenever someone would walk by their room just down from us. The breakfast area was filthy, the waffle machine had a hand written note saying “out of order”, the pastry holders doors were falling off, no coffee available. I could go on but I’m running out of space.

Great breakfast bar. Great maintenance. It made every thing work right. I told management addition to the breakfast bar.
