There’s no elevator. Good for a quick night stay.

The room had a funny smell right away. The bathroom light and fan were the same switch so you couldn’t turn on one without the other which made it loud all the time. The carpets in the room were badly stained and there was no elevator. Not going to say there again.

Good location off the highway. Much older hotel no elevator. Room was spacious but the bathroom was very small. Stains on carpet and hairs in the bathtub. The breakfast was VERY limited. Toast bagels and cereal and a waffle maker. Seemed like the bagels were kept frozen and thawed out.

I was worried about my moving truck but the parking lot is brightly lit all night long. The room was fair for the price. The breakfast was fine.

Clean space and excellent front desk service. Safety latch was broken in room and bed was overly high. Elderly, and short, people would not be able to get in bed. Major downside was no elevator. Staying on second floor was a hassle with heavy suitcase and breathing issues.

Ice machine broke. Old hotel but updated. Towels and bedding not great.

Upon entering the building the hotel was hot. It was so warm in the hotel the ice makers didn't work. The air stopped working during the night. The pool was so cold that you couldn't enjoy it.

We stayed 3 nights. Ice machines were not working. Breakfast was very limited: bagels, toast, waffles, coffee. And the second night there was a large party that arrived, kept us up all night. Running down the halls, slamming doors. Staying in the breakfast area until very late and their voices carried all the way down the hall. The party room up the entire breakfast area for over 2.5 hours; no seats for anyone else, and of course I was not comfortable making any food because the group had multiple plates lined up to make their toast/bagels and cups ready for their waffles. I purposely booked a room with breakfast included and we ended up going to Denny’s - another expense! Our last night at the hotel, the group was still there. When I approached the front desk about the noise the previous night and whether there was a quiet time, he said there wasn’t and people can be as loud as they want. At 1:40am I called the front desk, from my cell phone since the room phone didn’t work. And told the man working that I was being kept up AGAIN by the noises and the running on the floor above. I have stayed at countless hotels and this was, by far, the worst experience with many broken items and the facility not offering to ask other guests to be respectful and courteous. I do not recommend this location.

Pool was great main reason we booked.

The hotel hallways were very dirty and the breakfast was deficient of any protein - often the milk was gone for cereal and the juice was flavorless and watery. The room was dirty and carpets were filthy. The floors had stick substance on them that stained our socks. In addition red blotches from something often in various locations in the room They had one tiny garbage can and room services were only allowed every three days and we stayed for 6. The clerk at the desk did not explain anything to us about WiFi or breakfast. There was no information in the room. We found the information in tiny text on the room entry badges. We would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The parking lot was blocked often with a large bus or semi trucks which made parking difficult and hazardous. I reported this to the Hotel Management and they said nothing. Expedia Charged us $623.47 for the room but the hotel gave us a receipt and they only charged $471.78

We showed up and the room we were assigned was not cleaned. The window was wide open (it’s freezing), smelled like cigarettes, bed wasn’t made, trash on the ground. Girl at front desk (Mimi) was nice and moved our rooms immediately and felt really bad but the room we were moved to had a broken toilet flusher and no heat. Don’t stay here!!!!!!!!

Not a pleasant smell throughout building. Upon checking into room, it was dirty, lamp shade had nasty red stuff on it, bed was dirty looked like smeared makeup, along with little black hairs all over bedding, walls had what looked to be splatters of food or drink on them

The room was very clean, just a bit rough around the edges/dated. I do want to stress the cleanliness though; the room was worn but clean. The front desk person was very kind and helpful, and I’d definitely stay here again.

The bed was quite comfortable but the pillows were small and too firm for me. As being a senior, would be nice if they could update the toilets and sink height.

I thought the bed was comfortable, my boyfriend did not, but we both agreed it was way too high. Had to climb into it. Breakfast was very disappointing. Looked like you were gonna get some good stuff but no.

Hotel was okay. Room was not as clean as it could have been. Did not sleep well due to another rooms tv being too loud. The people above us were stomping and slamming doors through the night.

It’s definitely dated with some stains on bed, marks on lamps, doors, etc. Shower was hot and it was quiet so it worked fine for one night.

The hotel was nice, room was clean though the carpet was obviously stained in parts. But the bedding and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was okay, only hot option was waffles, but that worked for us. Kids loved the pool, though it's very small and the deck definitely needed some mopping. Overall, would stay here again as we pass through the area. Be warned though, there's a lot of highway traffic noise. We heard sirens several times during the night.

The door to my room did not have a deadbolt. There was not even a plate in the door frame. I returned to my hotel room late in the evening and did not want to try and find another place to stay. My booking was for two nights, but I only stayed one. I kept the luggage rack with my suitcase against the door so that I would have warning in case someone tried to get in. I just did not feel safe staying another night. The hallways and the stairwell were very dirty. And the hallway is always smelled of marijuana.

The size of the room was amazing. You could have probably split it in two and made another room altogether. With that, the rooms need serious updating, the ceiling lights were old tube fluorescent lights that only half worked. There was a sink just off in the corner with nothing close to it. The sink is not even in the bathroom. The bed was very uncomfortable. The windows did not and would not lock because they were so old and warped. They let in a lot of draft but mostly, traffic noise. With the expressway right outside, you can hear every truck slowing down, every car speeding up to get on the highway. I was not expecting the Ritz for the price. For the "Value," it is what it is, but there is a lot that could be improved. Lastly, holding a $100 deposit for a week on a $ 50-a-night room seems a bit silly.

Rooms are nice. I think no one cleans outside. Horrible shower pressure. TV was stuck in demo mode, couldn't watch tv.

The hotel was excellent for the price, we were doing the Michigan lighthouse tour so just needed the room for one night. Wasn't looking for anything with a bunch of amenities since it was just a stop along our route. It was clean and the staff were super nice & friendly. We were originally booked for the second floor but there is not an elevator so the front desk gentleman when we came back inside with all of our belongings offered & did change us to ground floor. The morning front desk gentlemen was also very friendly when we went out to grab a quick bite to eat at the complimentary breakfast area, he kindly started talking to us and showing us where everything was and if we needed anything to just let him know. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area.

My experience at this hotel was TOP NOTCH! Literally EVERY single employee I met was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. Starting from the moment I checked in, the attendant was so sweet and helpful despite the fact she had been working doubles between two jobs. I had several interactions with her and every time she was so courteous and understanding. Then, I ran into a maintenance worker who was an outstanding employee. And when I left, I encountered a different front desk attendant who was so gracious and kind. The employees I encountered were fantastic representations to your company and if I could give them a raise myself, I would! But all I could offer was my intense gratefulness and smiles, even a hug with the last front desk attendant I met. The hotel itself was easy to get booked and checked into. The entrance was very welcoming and super clean. My hotel room was also very clean, properly stocked, and comfortable. Overall, I’d give my experience a BIG 10/10 and all the stars possible. I checked into the hotel under personal distress but the kindness of all of your employees put me at ease and helped me to enjoy my time. Thank you for the best hotel experience I’ve ever had!!!!!

Front desk was excellent, and even moved our room so we weren’t next door to a children’s birthday party which I really appreciate. Room was very clean, and beds were super comfy!

When arriving for my stay, the front desk person - Robert - wasn’t the friendliest. When we got to our room, the room was very dirty (stained sheets, unknown substance in air vent, hair in the tub, and crumbs under the blanket). We called Expedia immediately for assistance. They called Robert at the front desk as we were making our way back downstairs. We were greeted in an unfriendly manner back to the front desk and told he could have moved us to a different room. However, due to the conditions of the room, we were uncomfortable staying at the hotel at all. We requested a refund but was told he couldn’t do anything until his manager returned the next morning at 7 a.m. There was no compassion or empathy for our situation. We decided to check into another local hotel, and luckily the manager was much nicer in the morning and approved our refund. The manager was great, but the rest of the experience was not.

Hotel convenient, updated and great for a road trip. Guy working at the front desk was so very nice, even helped me carry things to the second floor. Would stay again.

The staff was very inappropriate hitting on me and asking me to hangout at the front desk. There was roaches and so we left. They said they would give my money back but didn’t and had to fight corporate to get it back. Never would I stay there again. I have never had this experience with choice hotels.

This is our second time staying at this quality inn and we will rebook for next year as well. The rooms are so clean and the staff is very accommodating. Great price, conveniently located next to a Walmart and the interstate. We will be back!

Place was nice. Quiet and 10 minutes from Indiana Dunes and Washington park . Both hare beautiful beaches.

We stayed 4 nights with no problems. 15 minutes to beach, casino, zoo, boat rides, state park. We would definitely stay again. Yes, there are hotels etc closer to the beaches but much more expensive.

Good value for money in the location I desired. Close to I-94. Near restaurants and fuel. Room was clean and in excellent condition. Quiet. I can't comment on the continental breakfast, because it did not start until 7:00a.m....and I had to be on the road before that.

The hotel is right off the highway, so it is very convenient but not exactly beautiful. Straight up the road is a lovely downtown area with many local restaurants and a lakeside park. I was very impressed with the lakeside area of Michigan City.

Conveniently located close to Michigan City but outside the busiest traffic

Hard to get in and out of. Searched for a playground nearby to let the kids run and play and we found one about a mile away. When we were there, im pretty sure there were two drug deals that went down. The adjacent neighborhood was full of loud music and yelling. It was just not a safe feeling.

Very limited breakfast. Pretty much just waffles. It was nice to have the hot option but some sort of protein would have been really nice. The front desk was doing double duty watching the desk and the breakfast so they did a great job.

There was blood on the carpet as soon as you walk into the room. It was not the start to the night that I wanted. The bed had several very small pillows which were strange to not have the regular size. The continental breakfast was about as bare as you could get. The juices were very watered down. The waffle dispenser said it was strawberry but it was plain. Syrup had no flavor
