This quiet hidden gem is surrounded by acres of woods. The ambiance is peaceful and relaxing. The supper club is reminiscent of of a the prohibition years and serves up some great food. Highly recommend a visit for a needed getaway.

I was attending a conference at the casino but all rooms were booked. THANK GOODNESS! This place was much more my speed - tucked in the woods, nature walk, interesting architecture, incredible food, and relaxed atmosphere. They were making additions and improvements when I was there. I think it’s also set up for larger groups and events if that is of interest. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We had a great short stay at this property right off the highway. The room was large and unique. The property has a fire pit with comfy chairs and a bar and supper club. It was only 20 minutes away from Warren Dunes and a fun day at the beach.

Nice quiet place tucked in the woods. Very quiet and relaxing. It was nice to have a fine dining restaurant/bar onsite. You can have a drink or two with dinner without having to drive after! Great staff, great room, great restaurant and bar.

We tried to Check in after 3PM was told the room was not ready. Asked to wait in the bar and have a drink on the house until ready. I think there was a staffing issue. Our room was not clean, Shower curtain had hair conditioner and shampoo on it. I cringe at the thought but I think the sheets on the bed were not changed either. We left the next morning. It should have been a nice treat for my wife’s birthday.

The bathroom had used towels hanging behind the door, hair on the floor and in the tub, and overall felt unclean—enough that I didn’t feel comfortable using the shower. Cleanliness in bathrooms is essential and should be addressed immediately. The pillows were extremely worn and offered no support—definitely due for replacement. Noise insulation was nonexistent. I could hear guests walking, talking, and opening/closing their door multiple times in the middle of the night (between 1:30-2:30am) At Sunday brunch, I waited over an hour for a simple order ($30) only to be told the chef hadn’t shown up. There were two other tables (6 people total) and they had their orders within 30 minutes. It would’ve been helpful to be informed of this earlier. Also, there was no regular creamer available for coffee, nor were there any dairy-free options. Overall, the property could benefit from a deep clean and more attention to guest experience. Thank you for taking this feedback into consideration.

The surroundings are beautiful. Our room was spacious. The bathroom needs another hook to be able to hang two towels. If you are a light sleeper, beware that the walls and ceiling our thin. Our second night we could hear people from there room at the opposite end of the hall. We could also hear the conversations of the people above us. It was like they were in our room.

It had a nice getaway feel to it and the rooms were nice. I didn’t like how dark it was out in the parking lot. Lastly, my bathroom sink was draining really slow and at one point I thought it was clogged (it wasn’t me).

Nice, small hotel with attached supper club. We had to wait several minutes for the front desk clerk to return to the front desk to check us in. In the process of updating. Our room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed, but the he bathroom could have used some love. Pretty grounds with walking paths, but quite close to the freeway, so there is always noticeable noice. Didn’t bother us, but people in the room above us sounded like they were taking tap dancing lessons literally all night, we’ll request 2nd floor room If we ever return.

King bed was very comfortable. Our room was large. Bathroom was comfortable although a bit dated. It was very quiet inside the lodge. A bit noisy when we sat outside, due to the highway noise. We loved having an onsite restaurant and the food was delicious! We will stay here again if ever in the area.

The room was newly renovated, but the bathroom was not and seems outdated with too few storage options. I was a bit surprised that my credit card was not pre-charged with a reader at check-in, but that all data including security code and postal code were noted. This of course leaves room for fraud and does not give a good feeling. Breakfast consisted of muffins and packaged croissants. There was a filter machine for coffee, which had already run through and was empty. I did not find any new powder. So there was no coffee for me. There was also porridge, but I didn't see any milk, water or a microwave. I didn't find any staff in the morning either. Breakfast was therefore a disappointment and I had to eat outside.

The staff was amazing. They treated you like family. Rooms were clean and perfect for our stay. The location was the best. We had hiking trails to walk which we loved. I would defiantly stay here again.

My husband and I reserved a one night stay for our 16 year wedding anniversary. We booked through hotels.com. To our complete shock we were denied our stay at the front desk immediately as we brought our 3 month old with us. There was no mention that this hotel is adults only on hotels.com unless you scroll way down and basically read the fine print. In addition to this, some of the amenities on hotels.com say "kid friendly activities." We traveled from an hour away and were so excited for our trip. Being that this was a HUGE inconvenience, especially traveling with an infant, you would think that management would offer us some sort of gesture of apology but we were just given a refund and a hope of finding another hotel on Memorial Day Weekend. I worked in customer service for 16 years and in any of my previous roles, if this were to happen any business I worked at would have offered a gift card, or SOMETHING in addition to a refund. I just wonder if this has happened to other families with children. I sure hope hotels.com and the Brewery Lodge fix the issues and make sure that hotels.com and other booking websites make it CLEAR that they are an adults only hotel. I don't usually write negative reviews and don't want to be a Karen, LOL, but I don't want this to happen to more and more families that try and reserve a stay.

The Brewery Lodge was absolutely fantastic! Magical atmosphere!! The GM-Amber and her TEAM were outstanding!! Above and beyond!! My room was pristine and absolutely beautiful, with a picturesque view right out the back door, a lovely deck. The Supper Club was outstanding! The cuisine was delightfu!!

The staff were great. We arrived late and called ahead to figure out dining option. They read the menu to us, prepared our meals and kept the food warm until we arrived. Super great service. The chef was amazing. Great service, great food!

I purchased the stay as a bday gift for my son. When he pulled in parking lot he gets a call that he can’t stay there the air broke in his room. I love staying at this lodge. Its my go to accommodations when traveling to lake michigan in the winter. I love being off the beaten path, the esthetic of the lodge and the supper club/lodge. However, this stay i stood at the front desk for over 15 minutes while the front desk worker was on the phone helping somone else book a room. Only once did she acknowledge me to say "she'd be back" and left the foyer all together for a while. When she did complete the call sometime later she asked how she could help me and i inquired if we could check in early...i think we were a half hour early and she replied that it wasnt check in time yet. After standing there that long for service i almost left and would have never come back. She then added let me see if your room is ready. Start to finish she seemed annoyed by her job. I did not feel welcomed at all. And i had been do excited for my bf to experience this lodge.

Friendly staff, elegant room and surrounding areas. Has a lot of nature walks but we weren’t able to explore them due to March weather. A bit near the freeway but still fairly quiet. A short drive from all of Michigan City’s tourist destinations.

The Brewery was nice but you definitely need transportation to get around. It was also hidden in the woods off a dark road that is a little uncomfortable for someone that isn’t familiar with the area.

This property is very unique. The bar and supper club area have a cozy, quaint vibe. Rooms are spacious and beds quite comfortable. It did say free continental breakfast on Expedia however it is a paid brunch only from our experience on a Sunday morning. Not a big deal. Just inaccurate info. Would stay again.

Nice large King room. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful grounds with area to sit and read, visit or enjoy a beverage. Dining room is quaint and comfortable. We ate dinner there both evenings and our meals were delicious. Staff was attentive but not intrusive. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Many good aspects but some drawbacks. Room was very nice and bed was comfortable but our hvac unit emitted a high pitch sound that was annoying. Isolated location was safe and pretty but no nearby choices for food or drinks other than the lodge. Our dinner was good. Simple breakfast was very late and not warm and not terribly good.

The room was not as clean as expected. The bathroom had used towels hanging behind the door, hair on the floor and in the tub, and overall felt unclean—enough that I didn’t feel comfortable using the shower. Cleanliness in bathrooms is essential and should be addressed immediately. The pillows were extremely worn and offered no support—definitely due for replacement. Noise insulation was nonexistent. I could hear guests walking, talking, and opening/closing their door multiple times in the middle of the night (between 1:30-2:30am) At Sunday brunch, I waited over an hour for a simple order ($30) only to be told the chef hadn’t shown up. There were two other tables (6 people total) and they had their orders within 30 minutes. It would’ve been helpful to be informed of this earlier. Also, there was no regular creamer available for coffee, nor were there any dairy-free options. Overall, the property could benefit from a deep clean and more attention to guest experience. This hotel and restaurant are gems! Cozy and warm at the end of a forested road. Rooms are large, towels large and thick, beds clean and comfortable. Staff are extremely friendly. Dinner was excellent: great draft beer, spicy clam chowder with crispy crust bread, fresh oysters and Lake Superior white fish, Grab and go breakfast is a bonus. Beautiful setting with hiking trails. Will definitely plan to stop here for future stays!

One issue that we encountered was at our arrival which was about an hour early. Her being early was an understandable problem as we didn’t realize Michigan city was in the central time zone as we were traveling through Central Indiana, and on eastern time. The young lady at the desk seemed completely unengaged and merely informed us that we were early and that was pretty much too bad for us. However, once we came back check-in was reasonably pleasant. We will definitely look forward to coming back and spending another peaceful weekend.

Been here many times during the years. Love the evolution of the property! Always have enjoyable stay…miss Zeus. This visit had a fluke, air was not working. Woke up middle night room ungodly hot, nothing no one could do at that hour so opened windows. Like I said, fluke. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom was meticulous!
