Hotel was a great location to explore the black hills with our kids, and grab a bite to eat in town, lots of options. We had a one bedroom two king suite, which was actually two rooms. Perfect for a family of 5. The breakfast was great, the back patio was nice to hang out after a long day exploring. Our only complaint is the pool chlorine was extremely high, made it unbearable to swim or sit and watch. My kids eyes were burning, and other guests said the same.

It was obvious that this is a well-run hotel. The staff are organized and get their work done with pride. Very clean, friendly, comfortable. The pool was a bonus, but be aware that the water slide is only open from 5pm-9pm much to the dismay of my children when we arrived at 8:55.

When we first arrived, we were placed in a room that had a smell of old smoke or mildew. After talking with the front desk, they explained that we were accidentally placed in a room that was meant to remain empty for air purification. The person at the front desk did provide us with a new room, which was much better. The hotel pool is only 4 feet deep, the hot tub isn’t working and the large water slide is closed, which disappointed my son quite a bit.

Super clean rooms, bedding, towels, very clean. Breakfast is better than Hampton Inn suites. Gym is huge, indoor pool much cleaner than Hampton Inn. Highly recommend this property.

From the moment we walked in to suite 212 it smelled like someone had just used the bathroom 2 seconds before we walked in the room and then further into the room the couch smelled like urine.

Very well kept property. The room was clean had good smell. The pillows are the best. Breakfast was normal hotel breakfast,I usually don’t eat the breakfast at hotel s. I’ve been in every decent hotel in Mitchell. This one cost a little more but I continue to stay here. For the Cleanliness. They do a very good job.

The Holiday Inn offered easy access from the highway, and we felt safe during our stay. However, the check-in process was quite slow. I started my check-in first, but a gentleman who arrived later was processed much faster. It seemed like the staff member assisting him was efficient, while mine appeared disorganized and less attentive. On a positive note, my room was clean and comfortable. However, I did notice that the floors in the common areas near the elevator were not very clean, which detracted from the overall experience.

Stopped overnight on our drive to the Black Hills. Hotel located right off highway in a safe area. Shopping and restaurants nearby. A Mexican restaurant we had been looking for turned out to be right behind our hotel. The beds were comfortable. The room and bathroom were very roomy. Only complaint was that the pillows needed more loft. All in all it was a very nice hotel.

My family of 6 stayed in a Suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa bed. It was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. We tried out the pool and hot tub which were both great. We were late getting in so we thought we would only get 15 minutes in the pool but they didn't kick us out and we got an extra 10 minutes which was nice. The breakfast was good. It had options from cereal to eggs and bacon. There was a pancake maker but it either wasn't working or we couldn't figure it out. There were plenty of other options though. It was a good overnight stay for us.

Aaron checked us in (and has previously, he recalled) and what a breath of fresh air after a long day of traveling! So friendly, helpful and nice. Property beautiful, room so clean and quiet, breakfast was amazing - will stay here each time we ride through!

We stopped at this exit unplanned due to the snow storm that hit. The interstate was closed all restaurants were closed. The hotel called around to multiple locations to see if they were open. The staff ended up cooking all guest breakfast for lunch. They made sure every one was warm and safe. They continued to check on road conditions. They went above and beyond for all the guest even tho they were stuck and tired missing their families. We are very grateful for the hotel staff.

Great room, great staff. Dude who checked me in was Five Stars worthy by himself. Breakfast was also better than expected. While still being a Holiday Inn Express breakfast, the biscuits and gravy were top tier and the egg white omelette was delicious

Room was fine. Room wasn’t ready when we arrived. Even tho it was after check in time. Guy at desk told us to come back in an hour or so. I had just had surgery and was traveling home and really needed to lay down. Disappointing.

We had a great stay here and definitely recommend. We were traveling with two small children and the room was spacious enough for a crib, breakfast had plenty of options and was delicious, pool was clean and the staff was so friendly the entire time. We never came across anyone who wasn’t smiling and asking how we were doing, if there was anything we needed, or stopping to say hello to the kids. We walked to cabelas and let the kids play around the pond our back. Beautiful area right in town. We will be back!
