La Quinta by Wyndham Hobbs

Very unhappy. The pool was closed and staff said has been for at least 3 months. We booked here specifically for the pool. There was no apology or anything. The staff did not know how to check me in. The tub was dirty and so was the room. Very unhappy. I travel to Hobbs 4 times a year, will NOT stay at la Quinta again.

All ice makers were out of service, the room smelled of harsh chemicals, there are tiles missing in the hall wall and covers from exit signs missing. The breakfast was not fresh muffins and the juice dispensers were broken as well.

I’m very disappointed due to the elevators not working and I had my handicap mom with me. My mom had a difficult time going up the stairs and the front staff did nothing to help.

What I would have liked is if, on your site, it would have said that the hotel was being remodeled and that no pool, no ice and toilet seats not bolted down, make for a not as pleasant of a stay as we have had before. We have stayed at this hotel before when all was good and will probably stay again but a warning would have been helpful.

The indoor pool was closed. The elevator didn't work. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

lack of parking spaces

Whole property was under renovation including pool (main reason why booked). Elevators weren't functioning correctly either had to take the stairs better for safety reasons. Door only had one lock (deadbolt) instead of the usual two. No where was it stated it was under renovation!!!

Breakfast was good, the fitness center was much better than most, and the bed was comfortable

Bed bugs! No pool

I have always been happy with this chain until this stay. The only towel in the bathroom was torn and tattered. There was mildew on the shower curtain. The sheets had mildew spots on the edges. I could see that are updating rooms and hopefully this is just one that has not been done yet.

This is an older hotel that is not well maintained. Vents in several areas are taped to hold them in place. The elevator, hallways and rooms are older and not cleaned well. There was debris and dirt on the floors that you could see on the carpet throughout the room. The sheets were older and thinly worn.

Bathrooms had mold all over ceiling, bathtub was dirty and paint peeling off wall from water leaks there was brown stuff splattered on the wall beside the toilet., sheets had yellow stains on them, hallway smelt like a dirty litterbox. Hotel staff was having a drinking party at 1:30 AM. My room was on first floor at the END of the hallway, the “drinking party” was so loud It woke my kids up, I went to front desk to complain only to find out it was the staff that was having the party, I asked them to please keep it down we were trying to sleep and had to be up at 6am and the staff got a huge attitude with me and her friend had to tell her to calm down and the friend apologized to me and said they would keep it down! The FRIEND had to apologize not the staff member.

Bugs, bugs, bugs. Our room had an infestation of roaches and other bugs. We found them on the dresser, in the bathroom behind the sink, along the walls by the front door, on the ceiling, and in the bathtub/shower wall. We informed the front desk staff, but there was general apathy. They stated that they get bugs from time to time and that other guests have complained as well, but it just one of those things they can't control. My wife has childhood trauma from insects and could not get a wink of sleep, and of course, the breakfast buffet in the morning was a hard pass. We will not be staying in La Quinta properties in the future. I was surprised that the front desk was not even apologetic about it or offer to send someone to at least sweep the room for bugs. Minimally I would have thought a discount or something was in order, but that really would not have helped.

When i arrived to my room the bathroom smelled like someone threw up in it and just wiped it up also had feces on the toilet seat. Wish there was a way to upload pics on here

For the positives- staff was friendly, breakfast was hot and had a lot of options and the king bed we had was very comfortable. For the rest, I apologize for the bad review, I typically don't leave bad ones - but I would like to save another family from what we experienced. and the safety concerns I feel need to be addressed. Carpets everywhere were filthy. I'm not sure if there's a vacuum on site at all. Fire detector in our room was pulled down from the ceiling hanging by its wires. Fire alarm in the hallway was broken and pulled off the wall as wel. Fire buttons on the elevator were disassembled. We got to the room it was late and we noticed blood stain on the mattress cover that was visible through the sheets in our king-size bed. It was quite disturbing. Additionally, with the pullout bed in the couch the sheets had not been changed. There was Cheeto (type) handprints and hair all throughout them. My husband went down and got sheets and covers and we changed them ourselves- after a long day in the road with 3 kids. We removed the mattress cover (bloody) and luckily the mattress underneath looked new and like I said ended up being pretty comfortable. The bathroom was peeling and the sink was leaking/stained the floor. Overall, not a great night and we couldn't wait to leave in the morning.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay at this hotel was unacceptable. Upon entering the room, it was immediately clear that housekeeping had not done a thorough job. The bedsheets were visibly soiled, raising serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. The bathroom was even worse. There was a noticeable urine ring in the toilet, and the shower hadn't been cleaned (there were stubble remnants from the previous guest's shaving). These are basic standards that any hotel should meet, regardless of price point or star rating. I contacted the front desk, but the response was underwhelming and no alternate room was offered. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of attention to cleanliness and guest comfort. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

The room was very dirty the carpet was full of dog hair every...there was not enough towels two bath towels one wash towel and one hand towel and i also told housekeeping to please vacuum the room and it was never done not to metion the hall way and the elevator was very dirty and it smelled very bad....would bot recommend this hotel at all

Comfortable rooms, though the TV's seem to go out quite often

Decent place to stay if you just need to crash. TV didn't work well. Coffee maker missing a part. Thin walls.

Cons: Walls are paper thin, could hear the elevator ding, neighbors talk and doors squeak all night long. Shower has 2 settings: cold and warm-ish. Bathroom door wouldn’t close completely and couldn’t lock. Elevator hadn’t been swept in a while. Pros: Room itself was pretty clean, staff was nice, and bed was comfy. The anti fog mirror was a nice touch.

Property had a bad odor in the rooms. Beds were clean but very uncomfortable. The bathroom had finger and handprints on the mirrors and doors. The room had a strange beeping sound as you walked passed the entrance hall into the bedroom. Blackout shade only covered half of the window which made sleeping in very hard.

Law enforcement there multiple times during my stay. Very loud inside and virtually never any hot water!!

Pool closed room door didn’t shut

The property is not well kept and there are cars in the parking lot that you can tell have been there for an extended period of time, trash everywhere, not clean. The wifi was awful and would not stay connected.

Hotel was not very clean and was hard to sleep with all the noise also air conditioner was broke in the room

My door wouldn’t close all the way. So I was never able to lock it

Location was great. Staff was very nice a d helpful. The bathroom we were in has mold around the shower area. Had a mildew smell to it. Outlet inbetween the beds was not working

Front desk staff very nice, accommodating, and understanding. No issues. Feel safe. Able to ask for hygeiene, towels, and/or toiletpaper any hour and were given with smile on face no questions asked. Great stay!

Employees were great

STAFF WAS RUDE ONCE MENTIONED PETS, THEN WAS NEVER MADE AWARE POOL/HOT TUB WAS NOT WORKING. I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS PROPERTY AT THIS LOCATION

Canceled our room when there was still time for us to check in, no where in the instructions did it say we had to call for a late check when we still had until 2am to check in was trying to check in at 11pm

Checked in evening time to come to our room and find out it was NOT suppose to be rented! Door hinged broken, was properly checked out and cleaned if it was to be rented. Lack of communication from am shift to pm shift. Young clerk was not aware of what to do when asked about this room. TV from Walmart brought in to replace the mounted one, ice bucket full of melted ice. Had nowhere else to go in town that night. AM clerk was very nice and understanding as to what we came into.

Front staff was rude. There were no check ins allowed for anyone before 3:00 because rooms weren't ready, then suddenly at 3:00, all the rooms were ready. Breakfast bar had almost nothing. I stayed in Artesia at LaQuinta and it was great, but this location is awful!

Safe, no issues with shady people loiteri g outside, and my vehicle was not messed with. Great staff, restaurants nearby, and no traffic! My room was very clean, everything worked in the room, and they do have snacks and drinks to buy. I would stay here again on business!

This hotel is the ideal travel stop. Near shopping and lots of restaurants.

The room was very clean, bed comfortable. Close to dining, casino, and shopping.. The staff at ftont desk was friendly. Breakfast was ok food could use improving and worker was not friendly when asked about items that wasnt filled some complaints from customers. But over all good motel.

The breakfast area was open, but over half of the chairs were upside down on the tables. Breakfast area was not consistently refilled with food & paper products.

Pool was closed for maintenance, has been for months, and that is one reason we wanted to stay here, price was decent and had a pool, but nope!!! Breakfast was not cleaned up during the duration so cups, crumbs, used napkins everywhere, waffle maker didn’t work. Room was ok

It was not the cleanest hotel. VERY UPSET with the smell of Pot on 2nd floor during our stay. I have children and Im not ok with that when it says all over hotel that its 100% smoke free!!!! Breakfast they didnt even remove saran wrap from food after placing in warmers....biscuits were not warm at all an just thrown in a pan, gravy was cold. Overall not a great stay.

Very good overall for the price.. breakfast was terrible (lukewarm, eggs not fresh), shower pipes were loud makingvloud whining noise while showering. I was only there one night and would stay again

We normally stay here when in Hobbs. Everything is usually good but this time breakfast was not so great, nothing was replenished.

The morning breakfast was very good. The staff were very courteous and helpful. My room was not ready so they upgraded me at no extra cost. Unfortunately, the tv did not work, the outlets in the bathroom did not work, there was no phone in the room and the grout around the tub was disgusting.
