Excellent location to explore the beach, shops, and dining options, everything was very walkable. The location of the hotel is excellent. We had a queen room, #7 with ocean view and enjoyed the lovely sunrise over the ocean from our balcony. The hotel was older than we expected however, the rooms were very clean, the bedding was good and the beds were comfortable! The view from the small deck was a full oceanfront view. The only issue was the wifi. The signal is very weak and you could not stream anything using the internet connection. Everything else was great!

A very nice property for a one night stay in Lorne. The power went out during some terrific storms but was restored within a few minutes. Kudos to the team that made that happen because otherwise it would have been a cold night in that room! Bed was comfortable but the bathroom was a bit chilly. Plenty of hot water though. It was nice to have a dedicated parking space.

I have stayed here several times, excellent location across the road from the beach. Parking provided included, walking distance to everything, free wifi which was excellent,room was clean and bathroom, just a bit dusty. The bed was very comfortable, it was quiet and peaceful had a balcony and ocean view.

Surprisingly, it is quiet after 9:30 p.m. in January—a very family-friendly area. The staff at the motel were very friendly. The room was spacious, with added touches of silverware and real wine glasses. The finishings were a little tired but it did not detract from the comfort of our stay.

We had an overnight at Sandridge which for us was a small quiet accommodation en route to Geelong. The motel is centrally and just behind the main road and seaside village. Our room was above the reception level, accessed from a side street that had quite a steep incline. The car park was reasonably level but the spaces for vehicles were a bit too tight. A couple of steps down to a passage and balcony and the room itself. Well built and very quiet room with good space. We could see a strip of the sea but it was largely obscured by the roof of the lower level. We found it to be just what we needed for our trip.

Great access to the shops and beach. Just a few small things about the apartment – the room smelt musty – there was no hand towel provided for basin area. The lock on the Veranda door was quite hard to open – the tap on the Hand basin was quite stiff and a bit tricky to adjust. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Although the rooms have had a low-cost makeover, they are still clean, presentable, and very comfortable. Just not … posh. The location is fantastic, service great, and the cockatoos polite (mostly). LOL This property far exceeded our expectations and we’d stay here again for sure. Our only suggestion for improvement is to get rid of the carpet and put in a hard surface floor which won’t keep odors.

Certainly nothing like in the online photos. Boasts sea views but from our room only if you were over 6ft and could look over the top of the roof and airconditioning vents. Although very clean, check in staff not interested, room dated. Place meant for suitcases had microwave. Bathroom very old but clean. We have spent 10 days travelling to a different town each day and this was definitely the worse and most expensive.

Lovely view, above rooftops, but could see pier and see sunsets on water. A retro style of motel, which I like, easy and close car outside room, and can walk to Lorne Hotel for dinner or cafes, and bakery for breakfast coffee and treats.spacious room.

The room allocated was oceanview with a very nice balcony taking in the full view. room was very well kept and contained wine and champagne glasses and everything needed if you prefer to dine in the room. A delightful lady checked us in and made us feel very welcome. We would have no hesitation in returning to stay in this excellent very convenient motel right in the centre of the town.

I loved this motel! On the corner of the Main Street. Easy walk to the beach and beyond. Only one night, would love to spend longer just to relax. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly.

Perfect motel to spot to stay at if you're going to do the Great Ocean Rd Marathon! Starting line is just a short walk from the motel. Was lucky to book the last available room for race weekend! Get in super early. Friendly staff, spacious room with everything you need. Would stay again.
