The beds were comfortable, pool was broken but said it should be repaired in a week and otherwise looked nice. The elevator was broken. The rooms themselves were clean and updated. The breakfast was nice and the staff was kind. The biggest issue: the halls and stairwells smelled rather strongly of animal urine. You could see at least one round stain as evidence of one in the stairwell.

Room not ready when promised. 1 1/2 hour delay Breakfast food quality very poor. Holiday Inn Express much better Checkout delayed two hours because elevator not working. Only one luggage cart and it was falling apart.

I was very dissapointed that the room I received didn't have a sofabed like it stated in the reservation. And was told that since it was through expedia, there was nothing I could do about it. So we had to pay for an additional room instead of the hotel switching me to a more accommodating room which was available and charging me the difference. I had also called earlier and asked about the pool which they stated was available. When I got there neither the pool or hot tub was functioning

It was difficult to get clean towels and when we did the front desk person asked me to wait at the front desk for the towels. After waiting for 15 minutes I gave up only to find that the towels had already been delivered to the room. The fitness room didn’t have any working equipment.

Stayed many times here. Always neat, trim and clean. Need to sharpen up some items: A/C in my room not working; ran water for over 5 minutes to get hot water; fruit cup at breakfast was spoiled, rotate stock instead of locking the refrigerator only 1 luggage caddy on property. Still a good stay. No bugs or bad smells, desk clerk very courteous last night. AM clerk not so much.

Parking was safe. Check in was easy. But room was VERY outdated. Hallway and room had a strong pungent odor where you can tell the room hadn’t been aired out in months. Not thoroughly clean, like maybe they made sure hair and other obvious things were in the clear but thoroughly clean? Not even close. I even had to dust where the tv sits.

Upon checking in, our room smelt solidly of must and mildew. The carpeting to the floor, beginning at the under window AC unit to nearly midway between the two queen beds was so soaking wet from the leaking AC that the water puddled and squished if you accidentally walked on it. This caused us a great inconvenience getting ready for an important beauty pageant due to the lack of use of the room to avoid stepping in the water. Prior to getting in bed, my family and I checked the bed linens and beneath the mattress or any signs of inadequate cleaning or bugs. Underneath one of the mattresses we found what obviously appears to be an attempt at cleaning large bloody stains from the bottom of the mattress. I am a seasoned nurse and can easily identify the attempt of cleaning blood from fabrics due to having to do so multiple times in my career. The desk staff was informed of our complaints and concerns. They informed us they would refund us for our two night stay as they had no maintenance man for the property and no other available rooms. They were very understanding and receptive of our room complaints, but unfortunately could not help us find other accommodations.

The pictures online did not match what I saw inside the hotel. The lobby area was nice but once you turn the corner you see the walls need to be painted or repaired. The hallways and my room smelled like mildew.

The hotel is very rundown. The room smells like smoke and was very dirty. I didn't even want to sit down in the chairs. Tiles missing in the bathroom the room smelled bad just an overall horrible experience.

The rooms smelled musty, something was leaking outside our room because we noticed a very wet area on the carpet, housekeeping took our towels but didn't leave any new ones when. we needed them, some of the employees were helpful and kind, but there was a lot to be desired in light of the condition of the hotel and the rooms.

Hotel is newer but not taken care off. Rooms had an off smell. Carpets dirty, baseboards nasty, bathroom door had been chewed by a dog, sink had a long crack in it. Fair price for a one night stay facility was not worth the price. Contintal breakfast raw bacon, biscuits were still partially frozen, eggs looked like 3 day old leftovers. Hot water container was maybe tap water warm to start. Laquinta prices with Red Roof Inn or Motel 6 quality facility.

The good: the girl who checked us in was super helpful and friendly. I wish all hotel personnel were like her. The hotel allows pets and doesn't charge for them. It's in a convenient location. Breakfast wasn't spectacular but it wasn't bad. The bad: it smells odd. I couldn't place the smell but it wasn't good. Nothing felt particularly clean. The sleeper sofa was awful. Our kids slept on it but it was not remotely comfortable.

In our room, the HVAC unit was very smelly, musty odor when operating, perhaps in need of a filter change or full cleansing. We turned it off for the duration of our stay. The sink faucet in our bathroom shot out water at a very high pressure and spray. Hard to use. Outside, the building had portions of stucco falling off, perhaps from storm damage. Staff was mostly good, a little slow in cleaning up the breakfast area, garbage overflowed around coffee bar. For these reasons, hotel stay was only average.

This was a fine overnight stay. There were no bugs and breakfast was goid staples. There were not enough bath towels (2), as there were 3 of us. The elephant above us didn't rest much. What was remarkable was how hard it was to charge devices as the cord literally wasn't staying in the outlet. The outlets were so old and worn, the cord didn't maintain contact to charge devices. I had to ask for a bar of soap as thete were none. Staff spent some time looking for soap and produced a bar, luckily!

The beds were not comfortable. The couch pullout bed was literally springs and a covering. The breakfast service was out of cereal and milk. The front desk staff were extremely rude, especially the manager. They double charged me, and when I asked why I was double charged the front desk clerk became absolutely hateful. They did refund the second charge, but when I didn’t understand the invoice the manager told us we were ruining her day.

La Quinta by Wyndham – Vicksburg Stayed Thursday through Saturday. I chose this hotel because it’s pet-friendly and allows up to two small dogs. They were very accommodating, and there’s a good amount of outdoor space to walk the dogs. I didn’t try the complimentary breakfast due to my schedule, but check-in was smooth. The only issue was on Thursday night — there was no hot water even after running it for over 10 minutes. I reported it in person to the front desk but was simply told to “run it longer,” which wasn’t the response I expected. Thankfully, there were no hot water problems the rest of the stay. Housekeeping did knock on Friday morning despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign, which was a little inconvenient. I booked through Hotels.com and saved about $120 compared to the hotel’s direct rate. Location-wise, it’s close to plenty of dining options and has easy access to the interstate. Overall, I was pleased with the stay — a few hiccups, but a good value and pet-friendly option in Vicksburg.

My stay did not happen. Upon arrival, they couldnt find my confirmation. Then they checked me into a room that was not cleaned yet from last occupant. Then I was told they had no empty rooms. Finally, they tried to find me a room at another hotel of much less standards. In all my 73 years, I have never been so humiliated and frustrated. End result, We drove home 3 hrs away. I will never stay there again.

My wife and I were traveling through Vicksburg Mississippi on the night of 7/16/25. My wife contacted Hotels.com and made a reservation at the La Quinta Inn & Suites for one night. The reservation was confirmed by email by Hotels.com and arrived at the hotel ten minutes later to check in. When I arrived at the front desk to check in the hotel clerk was on the phone and I heard her say the reservation had been cancelled since the property had no rooms available, not knowing that she was actually calling me. Once I told her my name to check in she then told me the phone call she made was to me and she left me a voicemail. She proceeded to tell me that Hotels.com should have never booked the room since there was no availability. I then received an email from La Quinta immediately after stating that the reservation had been cancelled (#89456EE041870X) due to their 24 hour cancellation policy. Here is the VM transcript - "Hello this is Christy from La Quinta and Suites. I'm hoping to reach Mr. _________. We will have to cancel, so sorry about that but we're already full. Thank you so much bye-bye". I have filed a dispute with my credit card (Citi) and they have reached out to Hotels.com and are still waiting to hear a response from Hotels to get this resolved. Thank you

After three separate phone calls on different days, being assured that my reservation would be honored, they ended up giving my room to somebody else. I was within the hours of checking in, too, but I appreciate the staff for coordinating a room for me. I just wish that their word was solid; I don’t have any other complaints… just mean what you say to guests in the future.

We stay here twice a year during trips to FL. This hotel consistently meets our family needs--clean, pet friendly, rooms big enough for 6, and a decent breakfast. The pool was also working this trip so that was a bonus! The linens were clean/new and the room is quiet. Great location near plenty of dining options. AC worked great too. I don't care for carpets in the room and the electrical outlets are so loose they don't hold plugs in, but overall I can deal with that.

This facility is decent. I travel a LOT for work amd leisure. My children enjoyed their complimentary breakfast. The grest thing is that this is near many eateries, stores, and main corridors in Vicksburg.

I had 2 rooms. The furniture was very worn. The trash had not been emptied in the bathroom. The refrigerator was not working in one room and the TV was not working in the other. At breakfast...fake eggs and no plug for the toaster. Very disappointed!

Not great, really. Handful of small things broken or that don't work. Breakfast with no milk one day, no toaster, etc. Could use some attention from a good maintenance staff. Otherwise, good location, convenient, and friendly.
