Clarks Inn Savannah Airport

Room smelled strongly of cleaning solution. There was no shelf in the walk in shower to put soap or shampoo, only the floor. There are no bars or handles for handicapped patrons either in the room or public restroom near the lobby. Toilets were low to the ground. As a handicapped senior citizen, this was a problem. Hotel was being renovated and wasn’t completely finished. Trim work on the inside of the bathroom door looked as if a beaver had been gnawing on it.

The air conditioner worked beautifully. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and engaging. The free breakfast filled our bellies! We slept well too. Great stay! Will definitely visit again.

The desk person was quite rude when I checked in. I know it was 10pm, but we got there as soon as we could. When we got to our room, we noticed we only had 2 towels and no wash cloths. We are a family of 4. There also wasn't a single trach can in the room. My husband went to the front desk and he said the same person that checked me in acted bothered by the request for more towels and wash cloths. She told him there were no trash can to provide and he asked her if she just wanted us to the trash in the floor. She then produced a trash bag, no can. My husband came back to the room with the towels but he then noticed she still didn't give us wash cloths. Whatever...we were just staying one night so we did the hand method. The bathtub looked like something from a horror movie. It really wouldn't take much to fix that. The tub was chipped all over the inside. I unstructed my daughters to do their best to stay on the mat and not touch it. We slept great, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was phenomenal with the omellette guy...I forgot his name, but he was quite pleasant to talk to. Would I stay here again? Meh, 50/50. The front desk person may have been having a bad day, but you should at least pretend kindess if you're in the hospitality business.
