This is a hard review to write because there was a lot about the stay that was great. The breakfast was phenomenal (but insanely overpriced), the pool was lovely, and the hotel itself is cute. All of the staff except the manager (see below) were kind and attentive in every way. The room itself was charming but despite having air conditioning, there was virtually zero air flow in the room. My biggest complaint about this hotel is the hotel manager and the poor customer service/complete lack of human empathy I experienced from him. I was in Amsterdam two nights before my reservation and I was mugged. I called the hotel to see if they could help me modify my reservation because I wasn’t going to be able to make it to Copenhagen without a wallet, and they were incredibly rude and just kept reiterating the no change/no cancellation policy. It was kind of shocking to be honest. It put a very bad taste in my mouth, which is unfortunate because the hotel was lovely otherwise.

I have to say that I was surprised. For what I paid I expected a lot more. The rooms were nice but not amazing, The sauna and spa were mediocre at best. Only one elevator reached the sixth floor (breakfast and spa). The Balinese pool was special but there were too few beds to lay on and they were occupied from very early in the morning. Breakfast was good but the food that should have been hot or at least warm - was usually cold. The area is not close to the center and a lot of walking was done even to get to the City Hall square and Tivoli, that are really the START of the town center. While the shower was good the sink area was tiny and cramped. No one and nowhere really stressed that this was an eco-hotel with all that comes with it. What i have to really praise are the staff who were really kind and helpful always with a smile and good advice. I want to specifically recognize Maja who was just perfect and always there! The breakfast staff was also really good as were the room staff. In all, not fantastic for what I paid. Kudos to the staff who made the stay sweeter.
