If you are looking to stay away from the CBD, this hotel provides an adequate alternative. Like most of Canberra it is quiet despite the number of rooms and is conveniently located next to a sports club. Facilities are basic and so the property isn't particularly good value for money. But it's not the worst place I've stayed.

Shower grout and silicone was very moldy and peeling. Shower water could only be extremely hot or extremely cold, no matter how much we adjusted it. The room wall had something brown splashed up it. The beds were clean and comfortable but the room was dirty, worn and old. Bathroom needs an upgrade. Expected more for $219 per night.

Overall am happy with my stay. Hotel is nice enough but is a little outdated. Bed was comfortable. There was no cutlery so i had to eat my "uber eats" delivery with a teaspoon which was awkard but manageable. The bathroom had some mould on the tiles around the bath/shower. Nothing a refurbishment wouldnt fix. Overall satisfied.

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and well set out. The bed was comfortable. The heater working and warm. Staff very friendly and helpful. No breakfast however, only a short walk to the shopping mall. Would stay again.

Beautiful quite location, lovely rural views with amazing sunsets. Great value. Next door to a club for dinner, but also near a major shopping precinct with several dining options, public transport, an walk in centre for medical treatment, free parking. Beds were extremely comfortable. Water in shower took a bit to control and would go hot and cold. I would definitely stay again

A small point, but it would have been nice. Our room was near the lift and directly opposite the housekeeping storage room and staff gathering spot which was noisy. Staff came in at 9 on our last day thinking we had checked out. It would have been simple to confirm with the desk to see if we had left, however the location was great and we enjoyed our stay.

The receptionist was very kind, welcoming and friendly. The hotel was well presented and had a great ambience. The room was clean and comfortable. We walked to the shopping centre nearby for dinner which was so convenient. Very happy with our experience and will be back!

No customer service at reception, ignored us when we walked in looking at his phone. Then looked up and grunted, no greeting. Told us room no but not where, Didn’t tell us to park down further which would be closer to the room even though he knew my husband has trouble walking. When booking room i requested near parking area, they didn't even respond to my request. I had to call and ask them.

I checked in to my room.went out only to find someone else in my room. I have prostate cancer and pissed my pants because my card would not open the door..when I told reception that they had double booked the room they just didn't care. Very disappointing..a full refund would be accepted otherwise I will be taking this further.

The property is showing its age and has obviously downsized its facilities from its "Halcion "days , not even offering breakfast. Because it is a fair way outside of Canberra, Fishwick & Queanbeyan it doesn't have the price or facilities to justify staying there.

First room had a musty smell but we were immediately offered a second one which was fine, so no issue really. Dont think the restaurant was open but there were options nearby. All the essentials were fine -comfortable bed, good shower, quiet location. Loved the kangeroos gathering in the field next door in the evening.
