Our stay was very uncomfortable due to the air conditioning in the main lounge-kitchen room not working and all of the facilities that we were looking forward to not working. The room we paid extra for with the Jacuzzi had the hot tub thermostat broken and stuck on 40 degrees when it was a heat wave,and could not be used. Also there was no working clothes dryer and it had rained three of the days. The furnishings were extremely old and chipped the couch was disgusting to sit on. We didn't receive enough towels for the five people and then we're told we're going to be charged extra for towels for the hot tub which we could not use. Overall an extremely disappointing family holiday that would paid a premium price for and it was a let down.

First, the good. The receptionist with the blond curly hair was really friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The bad….the room was really dated. Separate of the the couch smelled really bad and the seat sank like there was no support. The pool area was really bug friendly. Maybe thats not their fault. Unfortunately the elevator didn’t work when i was there and I had a hard time getting to my floor as the emergency stairwell had floor 2 locked from the inside.

The cafe in the hotel is actually closed, which wouldn’t have been a problem but there wasn’t any notice before the stay began. The room itself was very spacious and would be great for a family. The kitchen was especially well stocked with cooking equipment. The hotel grounds could use a blow as there is a lot of debris and it just generally looks untidy. The view from the balcony is amazing and at a really great price point. If you’re budget minded with a family, this would be a great hotel to stay. The pool was maintained really well and crystal clear. There was outside uncovered parking which was great for us as we had a large ute. It is located very conveniently and is just a short walk to the marina where many of the tours leave from.

Staff rude from phone booking and front desk. Advertised cafe and bar but not one there. Toilets to pool area were dirty for the 3 days and never cleaned. Room clean and presentable but staff and facilities not recommended.

We stayed at this facility a few days before and after a 7 day cruise around the Whitsundays the second apartment after the cruise had a leaking washing machine and faulty hairdryer and wasn’t as clean as the fist either some good left from previous guests in the cupboard and the lifts were being renovated as were some of the exterior areas around the pool it is a good location but there is a steep walk from the main shopping and eating precinct that won’t suit the unfit

Great balcony views, however the kitchen area was not safe. The oven & stove top tripped the safety switch. Had to wait to the morning for house keeping to access the locked switch board room. Cooking appliances were broken or missing, fry pan handle was falling apart. BBQ area had a broken hotplate too. One ofhared BBQ facilities was not working.

The reception is only open between 09:00 and 17:00. We were to arrive after 20:00. The hotel arranged our room and completed the check- in next morning. This was excellent arrangment. Arranging late check out and arranging the transfer from the hotel to the airport was done via hotels.com messaging service. This was the best way to communicate with the reception as we had daily trips that prevented liasing directly. On check-in and check-out the receptionist was great. On the negative side the sofas beds were uncomfortable and required replacing. Car parking was convenient. Less than 5 minutes walk to Woolworths, high street and beach.

We stayed for three days at Water’s Edge Resort. The apartment is spacious with a beautiful sea view. Simple decor, nice furnishings, well equipped kitchen. We felt the holiday mood the instant we stepped into the apartment!The undercover free parking was good. Three swimming pools look great but too cold for us to use them. Supermarket just across the road was very convenient. The only downside was poor WIFI .

The location is FABULOUS so close to the shops, loved the pool areas, and didn't realise they had a spa and that was warm enough. Only a small hill to climb (and Airlie has many !!!), friendly staff and good clean apartments. I've stayed there twice and would book again based on location alone.

Waters Edge is NOT on the water .... it is better. A short walk up hill just behind Main Street gives you amazing views out over main beach and harbour. Three ppols to choose from ... And note ... Woolworth just across road with Grog shop ... just so convenient !!

Although I was sick the whole week I spent a lot of time in the apartment, and noticed it is very tired and in bad need of modernisation given the price charged. Very steep hill to get into and out of the property. All through the place there were lots of areas that were not that clean- bare feet kept collecting fluff and hair from previous occupants, and beds although comfortable, did not look the greatest. We were there for a week although cut short due to illness after 5 days. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Vary noisy late at night from singing at the pub in front

The body wash was empty on my first day of the stay. Called the after hour service, the lady asked for my numbers and said she will need to see what she can do and give me a call back....never received a call back. The baby wash was refilled the second day but the overall service level was slow and sloppy. The overall cleanness is terrible, I had bed bugs bites and the window screen in the bathroom was covered with thick layer of dust, the corridor to my room was always wet and with visible rubbish. The mattress is extremely old, with noticable lumpy surfaces However the pools are pretty decent.

The unit itself was good. The view was fantastic, mornings and evenings looking out over the bay sitting in the spa was great, price was reasonable. However the washing machine leaked all over the floor every time we used it, the floors were dirty and appeared to not be mopped prior to our arrival, shower screen felt like it was going to break every time the door was opened and the air conditioners needed service/attention. I would go back there as it was a nice place to stay overall and these minor things could easily be fixed

We had an amazing stay at Waters Edge! The location was perfect, an easy 4 min walk (walking with young children) to the shops, grocery store and about 8 minutes to the lagoon. The resort is at the bottom of a steep hill and we were thankful we didn’t have to walk up it! The folks at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The pools were beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed!

General impression after a 2 day stay with my son: Positive: friendly receptionist and large appartment. Negative: dirty and wornout appartment (nr 7) Extremely poor wifi (1-2 MB). The whole complex gives a very worn out impression and is in desperate need of upgrading.

WOW WOW WOW. Soooo happy I booked this place. We had a top floor apaprment and it didnt dissapoint. The best views imaginable. (Apartment 50). I will most certainly recommend everyone come to Airlie Beach and to stay at Water's Edge. So close to the main street and woolworths is just across the road! Pools were beautiful and the resort and rooms are well presented. Definitely do yourself a favour and stay here (high level floor) to get those spectacular views. You wont be disappointed. 10/10

Location can't be beat, close to shopping, restaurants, and bars, and walking distance to the Port of Airlie, although the walk up the hill to the hotel is for able bodied people only. Large room and patio, although our apartment was sparsely furnished, with uncomfortable furniture. Wifi is basically non-existent - forget streaming or posting to social media, it was difficult to even send an email or book an excursion... would give it a higher rating if the connectivity was improved.

No air conditioning in living area , only in bedroom . It’s was hot and uncomfortable. Had to sit in the bedroom to keep cool , really disappointed as it was advertised with air conditioning so it should have it . Room was dated aswell

Comfortable and spacious rooms, easy walk to town, however do aim for level 2 or above if you want/pay for an ocean view. Trees have grown to tall and obscure what otherwise a lovely view. We changed rooms due to this factor which was no trouble for staff to accomodate - made a world of difference to our 8 day stay (also our original room definitely had not been renovated as stated on the website)

We really appreciate the last minute accommodation as our flights from Hamilton Island were canceled due to bad weather. The room we had was spacious, clean and the staff checked in on us in case we needed anything. The room was well equipped and a great location - close to the ferry building and the local shops/restaurants!

First, the good. The receptionist with the blond curly hair was really friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The bad….the room was really dated. Separate of the the couch smelled really bad and the seat sank like there was no support. The pool area was really bug friendly. Maybe thats not their fault. Unfortunately the elevator didn’t work when i was there and I had a hard time getting to my floor as the emergency stairwell had floor 2 locked from the inside.

Place was nice and a good location! Women at the front desk were lovely and very helpful! The apartment beds were a little too firm, our laundry machine was broken throughout our stay (we were counting on using it), and our shower toiletries were empty on the first day until we asked for more. Would recommend for a good place with a good location, but certainly not luxurious!

The reception is only open between 09:00 and 17:00. We were to arrive after 20:00. The hotel arranged our room and completed the check- in next morning. This was excellent arrangment. Arranging late check out and arranging the transfer from the hotel to the airport was done via hotels.com messaging service. This was the best way to communicate with the reception as we had daily trips that prevented liasing directly. On check-in and check-out the receptionist was great. On the negative side the sofas beds were uncomfortable and required replacing. Car parking was convenient. Less than 5 minutes walk to Woolworths, high street and beach.

I was promised reimbursement for the taxi fare back to the airport because of a mistake made on the transfer companies end. I have emailed the resort 3 times over the last week and have yet to get any response. It is not the resorts fault that we didn’t get picked up for our scheduled pick up. However, the lady at the front desk is the one who told me to send her a receipt of cab fare to get reimbursed.

We had the best time in Airlie, stayed 8 nights at Waters Edge. Its closeness to town and value for money was perfect for us and we will definitely go back there again. Found staff very helpful and polite.

We asked reception for fresh towels as the shower nozzle let a lot of water out on the bathroom floor. We were asked to find the cleaners on Level 3 and get them ourselves. We were staying on Level 1. Cleaners were very helpful and also helped to find a lost toy from our friends who had checked out of another apartment so we could bring it home for them.

We had an amazing stay at Waters Edge! The location was perfect, an easy 4 min walk (walking with young children) to the shops, grocery store and about 8 minutes to the lagoon. The resort is at the bottom of a steep hill and we were thankful we didn’t have to walk up it! The folks at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The pools were beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed!

Waters Edge is NOT on the water .... it is better. A short walk up hill just behind Main Street gives you amazing views out over main beach and harbour. Three ppols to choose from ... And note ... Woolworth just across road with Grog shop ... just so convenient !!

This is not a hotel, as per the Expedia info! It is an Apartment building. So no room servicing, unless staying a week. You do get your own washing machine and dryer - which was fantastic (if you’re ok doing your laundry on vacation!). We had to ask for detergent as this was not in our room. The apartment itself was great - everything you could want or need for a stay in Airlie Beach - even included a Nespresso machine! Just be aware of added extras - ie cost to rent beach towels - also not included, as expected if you book from Expedia! Please also be aware that the apartment hotel is on a very steep (but relatively short) incline - if you have mobility issues this might prove extremely difficult as no handrails are provided. Otherwise, access to town is a stones-throw away, Woolworths just across the street (use the delivery short-cut!), and the pools are great!

The cafe in the hotel is actually closed, which wouldn’t have been a problem but there wasn’t any notice before the stay began. The room itself was very spacious and would be great for a family. The kitchen was especially well stocked with cooking equipment. The hotel grounds could use a blow as there is a lot of debris and it just generally looks untidy. The view from the balcony is amazing and at a really great price point. If you’re budget minded with a family, this would be a great hotel to stay. The pool was maintained really well and crystal clear. There was outside uncovered parking which was great for us as we had a large ute. It is located very conveniently and is just a short walk to the marina where many of the tours leave from.

It was a quick stay just to getaway! Lounge chair was badly stained and outside deck looked like someone dropped a cup of coffee that splattered every where and wasn't cleaned up, apart from that, we loved the space and amentaties
