The Hahndorf Lodge

Our stay was lovely, the pool is heated so added plus. Everything in Hahndorf is within reasonable walking distance from the motel.

Simple rooms with everything you need just off the main street so walking distance to everywhere, no need to drive. Loved getting into the pool after walking most of the day. Definitely a weekender option for those who are looking to just be present in their lives.

Aircon filter was falling off and it was noisy, carpet has iron burns, toothpaste on ceiling, the grout in the bathroom was turning pink. Pool gate needs soft closing padding. But other than that it was a great room

Comfortable accommodation in centre of town but also very quiet for a good night's rest. Everything is available on the doorstep. Safe parking, not chargeable. My only negative comment was that carpet in room looked tired and was stained as were the chairs.

Property is in a pleasant setting, pool lovely and room basic but nice with back outdoor sitting area if you can get the door open. Disappointed in the thinness of the walls fittings are getting dated and plumbing is very noisy.

The motel is clean, amazing location, and comfy. it is older, the gardens are a little overgrown and the pool area looks like someone's backyard pool area, but I would come back. It's charming and fits the Hahndorf them. 3.5 stars is my score.

Basic comfortable accommodation. Position is fantastic and in heart of town. Onsite parking takes hassle out of finding a car spot.

Quaint little rooms set back off the main road, but still close enough to everything. The heated pool and spa is fantastic, the warm 25 degree water made an autumn swim a must. Comfy beds, fridge, mini bar, tea/coffee facilities, microwave. Our 2nd time here and we'll be back again.

Was a highlight of our trip. Fantastic central location, great looking property with nice rooms, fantastic swimming pool. Enjoyed our stay a lot

In the middle of town, clean rooms great spot

Staff did not seem to care when I reported a cockroach crawling on the floor as soon as we entered our room. At the en of our phone conversation, the reception person had not hung up the phone and I overheard her colleagues say “what a nightmare I was” … they did not really apologise or even offer any compensation for our consideration. Overall a very bad experience.

Clean, comfortable and warm during a cold Winter's night right in the heart of Hahndorf... easy access to all the specialty shops and a good range of dining options in Hahndorf's Main Street.

Old but clean, cheap

The property just needs some tender love and care. Its a great spot on the main st. Needs some modernization internally, bathrooms are a bit old. Black mould etc.

Comfortable bed, room had what we needed for an overnight stay. Linens were fresh and clean but the room needs updating. Carpet in very bad condition and needs replacing.

Ideal spot, ideal parking. Exhaust fan in bathroom is ALWAYS appreciated. Rooms not particularly noise resistant, but not much can be done about that now.

Central to Hahndorf.. But Noisy..we could overhear many conversations from either side units, and a complete business phone call with confidential details.. Shower needs urgent attention!! Taps drip, washers(!!) need replacing Disabled shower not fit for purpose..just a standard shower with a curtain..shower rose out of reach, taps too high, soap dish out of reach..floor very (very!!) slippery .. no flat dry surfaces?? Water way too hot!!!! Over70˚C .. Water in pipes very noisy, both in unit and neighbouring units..both shower and toilet and hand basin Handrail blocked by sink..very difficult to stand using handrail..very poor design!! ..barely usable..made the start to the day a real effort .. Bed..saggy obviously well used..3inches difference between ends and middle..(and squeaky!! with every move) Needs a sink in the ‘kitchen’..filling kettle from hand basin ?? Insufficient car parks..disabled park was taken by cars without disabled tag displayed .. other nights all parks taken by 7pm .. Overall ..we won’t be back -we have tried all Haus offerings (over five visits)..all OK ....BUT.. So when we return will go to TheOaks next time ..

Beautiful room, nice and quiet, comfortable bed big screen TV will definitely come back again

Didn’t like the fact that we could hear the people talking in the rooms next to us.

There is no reception staff at the actual hotel. After getting a taxi direct to the door we had to walk with 2 suitcases and the wheelchair to another hotel to store our luggage. Then had to take the luggage back to the first hotel in the afternoon, no offer of assistance.mwhen check8ng out no one at reception again. Luckily able to secure a shower chair when a staff member was on site after 6pm

1) No checkin support 2) No checkout support even at 9:30 am 3) No drinking water provided or basics like shampoo / body wash 4) Absolutely no service to support for anything you might need during the stay. At this property you are on your own for any issue you might face

Well located and was very convenient. Parking easy with sufficient parks located within easy walking distance. Late check-in was awesome and made it very simple. Bathroom dated and needed a little bit of repair, and bed was on the harder side (not my preference). But overall suited my needs

Perfect location to explore the shops in Hahndorf

It was cosy and had a beautiful peaceful feeling to it. My friend and I loved it! Simple, affordable and very close to Main Street in Hahndorf. Easy parking, room easily accessible. A really lovely place. We will be returning ♥️

Being off street makes this very accessible, but also much quieter than some other locations.

Great family rooms and the heated pool was a bonus for my children. Lots of choices for places to eat and shops to visit in walking distance being conveniently located in the main street

It is so convenient to shop around and eat in a nice restaurant.
