Tub had a dirt ring and the room had a musty smell. . Office can not hear me when I called the front desk for the wifi password. It was not worth a $200 stay. Wash cloth smelled awful. I brought my own but used the cloth to dry my hands. Wifi very easy to use no password needed.. Bed linen was clean. I had dust from the rug on my feet after leaving the shower. However walls were clean. No breakfast or food options on site. Room very small. My opinion had it not been overpriced I would had less expectations.

staff is reliable and friendly when i open conversation with them otherwise they just work long hours and let the quest do there thing nobody bothers you unless you interact with them and they all are helpful and respect you privacy the desk team is very helpful too good vending machine and animal friendly

When we pulled up to the hotel there were three police blocking the entrance. We had to drive around to the back to check in. The front desk person was quick with the check in but when we asked about the police he just said “no worries”. As we were going to our room they were entering a room upstairs. The room was old, run down and dirty. Hotel definitely needs an upgrade. The room had roaches as one crawled on my husband when we were in bed. The room had a smoke smell to it. We will not stay here again.

There were bed bugs and I got bit on my ankles and feet and the room was very dirty. The staff was very unprofessional and they were very rude. I brought a bed bug to the office and they still denied there being bed bugs in the room.It was so dirty that I couldn't take my shoes off inside the room

Rooms were dirty. The "Non-Smoking" room was NOT non-smoking. Could literally smell smoke caked into the walls. My eyes were burning as I was trying to sleep. The room was very shabby. The ceiling was falling down and very dirty. The rooms really need a renovation...like 10 years ago! Staff was pleasant though.

Very Disappointed – Not Worth the Price We stayed here for two nights while visiting Canobie Lake Park, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected — especially for the $410 we paid. First, the room was dirty from the start. The floor was sticky, the bedding was stained, and the whole place smelled… honestly, I can’t even compare it to anything pleasant. The microwave hadn’t been cleaned, and there were no toiletries provided at all (despite them being advertised) — no soap, shampoo, or conditioner…unless you count the half bottles left over from the previous guest. It didn’t look like the room had been swept or vacuumed before we arrived, and during our stay, no trash was taken out. Thankfully, we brought our own trash bags. The most alarming part was the smoke detector situation. It wasn’t even attached to the wall — the unit and battery were sitting on top of a canvas photo. I have pictures of both the dirtiness and the smoke detector for proof. This is a major safety hazard and completely unacceptable. We only stayed here because of its proximity to Canobie Lake Park, but we won’t be returning. For over $400, I expected at least basic cleanliness, working safety equipment, and the amenities they advertised.

Not only were there rust stains around the sink and tub drains but a washcloth rubbed on the sink faucet produced black mold and the tub which was supposed to be white was actually grey with streaks of dirt. We seriously considered just leaving without our $228. Most disgusting place

we had to go to another room after our first room smelled so bad. The new room wasn’t much better we sprayed air freshener to make it tolerable. There was urine in the toilet, old iced coffee cups under the bed. The shower was filthy with towels and soap sitting in the tub.. there were people smoking cannabis outside our door. My daughter had bumps on her legs and arms, possibly bed bugs. Half of the lights didn’t work. Absolutely discussing and it cost $200 a night. This place should be reported to the board of health and I’ll probably do so.

Very dated facilities. Had to change rooms during a 3 night stay because toilet wasn't working and no room service. Said they only clean rooms on Mondays and Thursdays. Seem like more of a cheap long term stay type place not so much for travelers. Office was helpful, nothing that they did wrong.

I do not recommend. It's hard to tell the difference between the travelers staying for a night and the long term residents. I turned on the shower and had a flood of water coming out from under the bath tub. Uncomfortable bed..........

Super nice staff. When I checked in, there was a discrepancy between the room I was given and the room Expedia described I would be getting. Without hesitation, the gentleman at the front desk said this happens often with Expedia and put me in a different room that matched what I thought I was getting. My suggestion is call them before booking through Expedia to make sure you are getting the room with amenities you want or need.

There is very little to commend this property. It is of average cleanliness. The front desk people are generally unhelpful unless it involves accepting your money, which they do with alacrity, seemingly the only item that is done with any haste. Even directions on how to get to your room were incorrect. All "services" are apparently outsourced and the stock answer of the front desk personnel I dealt with is "You have to take it up with the vendor." and would not inform you who the vendor might be but to refer to the number posted near the service. Unfortunately, when calling the number, I was told they haven\'t handled Red Roof Inn in years. Hence, there appears to be no accountability at the Salem, NH Red Roof Inn.

I was told by the front desk that my room had been checked into without her even looking at my ID early Saturday morning. Instead of checking my receipt she was reluctant to even attempt to help me and told me she would figure it out on Monday. After 20 minutes of blatantly ignoring me I was then told through my friend that I would get the police called for being “loud” and rude after refusing to help me even though she pretended as if I didn’t exist for most of the time. I only received help after I got on the phone with Expedia support and my friend told her we were both veterans. I have never in my life had service this poor at any hotel.

The front desk lady was friendly and honest when we showed up early and tried to check in. Early check in not available due to short staff. So we came back at check in and room was not available. So we went off to Canobie since that is why we were there. It's location is convenient to the park. Room was finally available 1 1/2 hours later. We left the park around 10 pm and got into our hotel. The room appeared to be clean. Sketchy tub residue maybe because of age. 2 towels. Mainly convenient for the park and 1 night.

Our stay was OK. Staff were very friendly.Our room was good but a little old. We found it overpriced for what you got.Very limited toiletries plus no Continental breakfast.You could get clean towels but had to go to the Front Desk.Garbage was never taken out.We had to do it ourselfs.Would probably look elsewhere for a room if here again

Police patrol all night and day, I don’t think it’s a good thing. There were cockroaches in my room. And the staff wasn’t very pleasant. Went to get coffee early am. Coffee was empty, went to make tea and the water was cold. Told the desk attendant but she couldn’t be bothered, she was busy on her phone. Wouldn’t stay there again if it was free. If it wasn’t exhausted from driving 12 hours I would have left and found somewhere else.
