Comfort Inn Springfield

we stayed there from Oct 18 thru Oct 20 2024. In the first night there was a party in ball room, which played music with high volume bass, which hurt us the most. The noise continued to 2AM till the party is over. I called the front desk but the phone is not working. Also there are something I noticed: 1 only one elevator is working. the other one is broken. 2 can't find power outlets around night stands, only one I can use is the one pluged in by coffee machine. 3 in room safe has no battery. 4 phone seems not working.

Suited my purposes for a reasonable stay, but the side entrances are not locked, if you care about that.

It’s a great property to stay at. Convenient to the mall metro if wanting to go into D.C. only issue we ran into was the ice maker on floor 5 did not work and when needed ice we had to go to level 4

Free shuttle to Metro station fast, picks you up at call within 5 minutes. Only a 5 minute ride there. Very good hot breakfast, good sausage and bacon, omelettes. Chocolate chip cookies in afternoon. Plenty of USB ports and outlets. Air conditioning modern, quiet, works well.

Need to fix ice machines, and prices on vending machines are off they charge more than they say when u get your bill

This is a convenient hotel for visiting family. It's ok, but seems to be getting a bit rundown. One elevator was out of order & the other one looks a little beat. The room was clean, although towels were kind of stuffed in the bathroom. The breakfast each day was nice. I've stayed here for a number of years & the upkeep seems to be lagging as time goes on.

The room was very clean. Free transportation to and from the Franconia-Smithfield metro station which we loved. Breakfast was alright nothing too special but good overall. There’s a mall, Marshall’s and food options nearby. Hotel itself looked a little bit old and outdated but free parking, area seemed safe and staff were good!

We came in for spring break and the location is perfect 20-30 mins away from all the must see DC sites without all the traffic and parking hassle. Lots of shopping and dining around was a plus! The property- the first room we got smelled like feet they should remove the carpet in these places. They were quick about getting me another and apologized. The AC stunk when you turned it on and was very noisy. The room it self was not bad the shower was good no mold or nasty stuff. Overall not a bad stay for the price. And the breakfast made up for all of the bad if you like to have breakfast Eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles. They have coffee and hot water at lobby all the time so that was nice. Expedia says it has a pool but it does not.

The shower head had pink bacteria on it from where it had not been cleaned very well. This is the second time that I have stayed at this hotel where this has occurred.

The place was clean and neat!

Room had mildew smell. Agent at the desk wouldn’t change my room. Ants in the room.

The beds were clean . That's it. Carpet lifting throughout hallways, visible water damage in room, bathtub dirty, toilet bowl dirty and had been used. Floors/carpeting badly vacuumed, if at all. Old rolled chewing gum under desk. Microwave dirty and food particles. We stayed here 2 years ago and was not this bad. It's not high-end, I get it, but please minimal cleanliness and maintenance is a must... I'm not looking for luxury!

The hotel needs to be updated. The bathroom needed to be recalked and there were areas that had dry rot. Smelled old.

I always enjoy my stay here. The hotel is extremely clean. All the staff are friendly and attentive. It’s in a great location for food and shopping and the love is very fair especially for the cleanliness of the hotels.

The room was dirty.

Looks a bit run down.Doors to facility were left open no key entry needed. The sink and tub handles were dirty and furniture was stained

We were looking forward to staying here as the reviews were really good. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed during our stay. Our room was old and run down. There were holes in our chair, stains all over the bathroom wall and floors, and water damage/mold on the bathroom ceiling. The lobby was pretty dirty upon arrival, and everything just looked run down and in poor condition.

The area presently under construction; however my room was not up to par because the lighting was very dim and could hardly see in the bathroom and in the room. Needs better lighting and more wall electrical plugs to connect phone chargers and other devices. Also room was extremely hot when 1st checked in.

Our room was very nice. The bathroom door stuck though. Not a big issue. The staff is very pleasant. The elevators seem a bit rough. The breakfast was good. Always a variety & plenty of food. Overall a great value for the cost,

We slept well, and found the bed one of the most comfortable we've ever had on a road trip. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was substantial, offering eggs + either bacon or sausage. Our room was tended to the very first day of our stay, with trash emptied, bedding straightened, and the bathroom set straight. We did not feel we needed everyday attention during our 4-night stay, so we put a "do not disturb" sign out for the rest of the visit. Our few complajnts would be: > Slow wi-fi: the connection dropped often, or sites loaded slowly. > Dim lighting: table lamps were so dim that it was hard to read by. Also, there was no light overhead in the shower/tub. > Heat-A/C unit switched on/off repeatedly during the last night of our stay, beginning at 4 AM. This woke us up & kept us awake for a while. Thankfully, we always travel with a floor fan to provide "white noise." The heat unit had performed perfectly up until then. We did mention it to the front desk staff before we left. > The mini-fridge was so cold that everything we placed in it froze solid, including bottled water, cream cheese, and boiled eggs. Otherwise, our stay was comfortable and generally restful. The staff was freindly and attentive. We would recommend this Comfort Inn - Springfield and would return to it ourselves.

It is an older property and is starting to show its age. It is maintained and clean. My AC was not clearing the humidity. It just got cold and damp. The free breakfast was nice and filling. It is adjacent to the Springfield Mall. It fit the bill for an affordable hotel in NOVA>

Shower had weak spray. Room was too small to do PT exercises.

Poor/intermittent internet

Room I stayed in was in need of some TLC. Toilet seat was old, chipped paint and needed to be replaced, entry door was hard to open, and bathroom door had seen better days. Management needs to pay attention to detail to make this hotel worth the cost. The attendant doing the breakfast was very attentive, hard working and pleasant. Front desk staff was professional especially the young lady who checked me on day of arrival. She acted quickly to get maintenance to help with the entry door. Maintenance guy was very professional, courteous and helpful.

Overall a good value, but definitely not super clean and like being back in the 1980s.

All was well, except our room was bathed in outdoor flood lights right outside our 3rd floor level. Result... the window shades didn't cover well enough for a reasonably dark room for sleeping.

The hotel booked our 3 night, prepaid room through Expedia, to someone else. The owner was rude & wrote us off as unimportant because we booked thru a 3rd party. We were sent to a nearby hotel that kept telling us they didn't have a room. After being pushy, we got a room but not the 2 queen room we'd specially booked & prepaid for in advance. The rooms were ok but couldve been cleaner. Breakfast was substandard.

Staff is personable, knowledgeable and awesome.

Feont desk clerk doesn't what he was doing when he assignws me the room. It waa already occupied and and when I open the door, somebody was already in the bed. I was scared and run away.

Will never use this facility again. Reserved a King sized bed but clerk appeared to have let the room go and insisted on giving us a two-queen bed room. Clerk was rude and difficult

Someone was smoking marijuana above our room all night and all day. We told the manager about it that morning and he said that he would talk to the lady above us. But it didn’t stop. It’s supposed to be a smoke free hotel. My spouse is still serving in the military and she cannot be around any drugs. So we told the front desk that evening 12 Dec 25 that there was still marijuana smoke coming into our room and that we were checking out early and I demanded a full refund. I was told that the manager wasn’t there and would be time so we could get a refund. We have called 4 times since then with the same excuses and still no full refund.

Staff was very help making suggestions for dinner and also directions.

Staff was excellent.

Dingy rooms. Loud a/c unit. Room key just stopped working four times during a 2 night stay. Imagine coming back after a long day out, arms full of packages and a pizza. Keys don’t work. Have to go to front desk, staffed by ONE person, a line 5 ppl long. Just to get a key to my room. Again. The bathroom in the room was hideous. Red mold and scum all over the vinyl shower. Mold and crust all over the faucet. Huge crack in the wall of the shower. Faucet pulled away from the wall. If there had been another option I’d have checked out a gone to the hotel next door. Bottom line, they should pay US $114 a night to stay here. Awful.

I wish to single out your representative MICHAEL who wa on dutt when I arrived and on duty the day I departed. I arrived after midnight and found him as courteous and responsive as if it was the behinning of his day at work. I have resided at hotels all over the world and have not enjoyed a more pleasant and inviting reception than that which Michael delivered. Your Comfort Inn in Springfield, VA will be my first choice whenever I am in the area. Thank you very, very much! Arnie

I stay at this property everytime I am in the area. It's reasonably priced, convenient, the staff is wonderful and the facility, while not new, is clean and comfortable.

Great location of I-95. If wanting to take Metro to central DC the drive is a mile or so to a blue line station. Hotel also provides shuttle service Breakfast offerings included make your own waffles, eggs prepared different ways, bacon or sausage, packaged pastries, fruit, cereal, yogurt, and a variety of drinks.

Construction going on, parking spaces blocked off with cones around the hotel. Very crowded area - shopping centers and highways surround it. Kind of dingy looking.

The Comfort Inn in Springfield, VA was an excellent place to stay. It was clean, quiet, the entire staff was friendly. They offer a convenient buffet style breakfast every morning to get the day off to a good start. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the sheets and bedding were very clean. The location was convenient, right by a mall with plenty of dinner options.

Hotel is a bit dated but location is great, 2 minute walk to Springfield Town Centre Mall. Staff were very friendly.

Older property that has been renovated with lots of new growth around it. Lots of eateries available. Easy on and off I95.

Awesome rooms, across the street from the Springfield Town Center (Mall). Convenient to shopping and food.

Hotel is convenient to shopping and freeway.

It was good for me because it was very close to the event I was attending. It's in a beautiful and clean place.

Easy access to Belvoir, clean and many places to eat within a mile.

Lots of construction going on in surrounding area. Sundays is only day when no noise. Our telephone and tv did not work and new room had to be assigned. Ready made egg patties at breakfast were awful. There was no person monitoring breakfast room. One person came in with a shopping bag and literally took about 20 yogurts and whatever juice and milk there were. I don’t even believe he was staying at the hotel. I generously gave the hotel 3 stars because the front desk was very responsive

Property is nice and clean. Service and people are great! Breakfast is disgusting everything but waffles (u make them yourself) Milk had chunks in it! The sirup was watery! Eggs were horrible! Sausage was nothing but grease! Once breakfast is done forget about coffee heck forget about hot!

Check in was easy. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast had many options and the coffee was great!

The cleanliness and the quality of the breakfast provided seems to have deteriorated since I last stayed at this hotel about six months ago. I’m not even sure the sheets on the bed had been changed after the prior tenant! I also thought the breakfast that was provided was unsatisfactory. The food was cold and tasteless. I also had to call the desk to send someone up to my room to turn off a noisy fan. The person who came told me the filter needed to be changed. Definitely not the most comfortable hotel stay I’ve ever had.

Clean, convenient hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Had an issue with the bathtub faucet and after reporting it to the front desk, maintenance showed up promptly and replaced the faucet. Management followed up the next day. My only complaint was with breakfast. Not enough fresh fruit offerings.
