When we got to the hotel, we had a hard time getting into the actual location. You have to go down the street and do a u-turn to go into the entrance. There’s very limited parking and parking is not free!! The elevators are only big enough for 3 people. Of course I could take the stairs but if you go out the door on the ground level, the alarm will sound. The complimentary breakfast is far from anything I’ve ever experienced. Good luck getting a good nights rest with the train running right by your window. I would definitely recommend a different location for any future stays. The price was decent but I guess you get what you pay for.

The hotel itself is in a busy area, its hard to turn left to the property so you have to do a U-turn 2 lights away. The parking itself is actually tight.

There was a roach in our room. The first room I booked was a queen suite with a living room area, when we walked in there the TV was missing like someone ripped it out the wall and the couch was dingy. However they did accomadte us with a new room. But the second room carried a smell that smelled like someone died and we saw a roach.

The room was dirty. Couch was dirty and stained, the couch bed was terrible even by couch bed standard, the room smelled of urine, there were not enough lights in the room so that even with all the lights on the room was dark. There was no safe in the room and did not feel safe leaving valuables around. The whole unit for 5 people had only 1 drawer. There did not appear to be many guests, but we were placed next door to a loud family that banged on the walls all night and played loud music. We did not enjoy this place at all. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty.

My room was not cleaned for the 3 nights that I was there , even though I requested it. The intercom/telephone in my room was not working and was faulty and was never fixed even though I complained. I was on the 7th floor, so if I needed anything, I had to go down the reception because I couldn’t call. Trash was not emptied, towels and bedsheets lot changed. The bathroom was never cleaned. I hated my experience there’. By the way, I saw a cockroach in my room

You get what you pay for.... this hotel is right in front the train tacks but the noisest thing was our particular room was also right next to the elevator. The elevator was noisey and shakey and felt very unsafe. The beds are hard as a rock and hurts the lumbar. Everyone in my party had a sore back before morning

The place was overall a nice place, but you had to pay an extra $15 in order to park there, the beds were very squeaky and so was the bathroom door and the door didn’t lock.

The rooms thermostat was npt working properly the entire time. Overall room was clean, but with only one tiny trashcan in the room it was hard to keep room tidy with normal trash from a family on a 2 night 3 day vacation. We left we left about 5 hours earlier than what had planned. It was very loud in the room next to us and we could not sleep. We would not pick this hotel for a family vacation when we return to DC again. The 15 dollar a night parking fee was a decent price versus other prices that other hotels in the area offer.

The hotel was clean and modern but there were several small things that made it not a 5 star. The bed was very very squeaky. The shower doors were not leveled and kept sliding open. The tv volume was not regulated and the room did not stay a consistent temperature.

Overall the property was clean. However one of the elevators was out of service and the room was not completely furnished. We had a 2 room suite with 1 chair no place to set or eat. Not only that we went to the market just to find out our refrigerator didnt work. The shower door wouldnt stay closed, so water was everywhere. We had to keep most of our stuff in suitcase. I think they need to make people aware of some of the things offered aren't avaliable yet because its a newly remodeled and acquired property. Breskfast lacks selections...the same thing everyday.

Room was clean. Parking was easy. Note, first car is 15/night and additional are 25. Important if you're meet friends. Still a bargain. Close to shopping, pubs, and food. Hotel was safe. Its a bargain, so there is a train that rumbles past, and the walls are thin. Still a good deal.

Overall, the stay was okay, but the sleeping accommodations left a lot to be desired. The mattress and pillows caused serious physical pain because of the severe lack of plushness from the mattress and pillows. One of the keys to a great stay, begins and ends with great sleeping accommodations.

1.The hotel staff was very unfriendly. In a taxi, we went there at 12:15PM to check-in and drop our luggage. The hotel had rooms available but would not check us in before 3PM. They demanded additional $55 for early check-in, something I never experienced before. We talked to the manager, Manoj Pandya also but no help. 2. They took $100 security deposit besides the room rent when there was nothing in the room (drinks or snacks) that we could consume. 3. The hotel is on a Railway track. At night quite a few long distance trains ran very frequently making a lot of noise. Our room on 6th floor was facing the track. The window was not sound proof and so our room was very noisy and we could not sleep properly. 4. The shower door was defective. It was not installed properly. One part of the door would slide back and so we were not able to close the door while taking shower. I pointed this to the reception but they totally ignored and did nothing. 5. The room was very spacious and beds were comfortable. But there was no floor mat anywhere, The shower was very small. 6. On one night we could hear loud conversation from our adjacent room including love making noise.

The lobby and lounge areas were nice to watch tv, read, or work on the computer. Liked the suit style of rooms very much! Unfortunately there was only 1 tv. Parking was inexpensive and secure. We were allowed to remain parked on the lot after checkout so we could go explore on our last day. Staff was wonderful! We loved Donald at the front desk!

I was taken aback by the pictures of Abraham Lincoln that to me signals that you are favoring one party. The key cards were of all white people nothing Latin. Nothing signaling that you were in DC. The elevator is old & noisey. They placed us right next to the elevator. They were not able to secure a taxi. It was not even 10 p.m. They offered no alternative. While the staff was professional, they were not very accommodating. I asked for a 1 hr late checkout because the night from the elevator kept me up most of the night. The woman at the reception desk barely allowed me to finish my sentence. I then adjusted it to 30/45 min. You guessed it, she said, no. I checked it at almost 7p.m., so that was not an unusual request. Note: Expedia should provide a credit for my next reservation but at a location of my choice. Not La Quinta.

Stay was overall good, however close proximity to rail line which can be rather noisy at night, and closest metro is a 30 min walk along a busy road. Good if you have a car or happy to use lyft or uber.

Parking situation was not the best as it was a very small and oddly laid out parking garage with just 1 level. I would stay here again.

This was by far my worst hotel experience ever. The property is located in a very sketchy area, right next to railroad tracks — meaning trains pass by multiple times a day and night, making it nearly impossible to relax. The walls are extremely thin; we could clearly hear other guests’ conversations, children running around, and even people arguing and shouting. If you’re hoping for a peaceful night’s sleep, this is not the place for you. The beds were uncomfortable, with squeaky frames and rock-hard mattresses that left me waking up each morning with terrible back pain. To make matters worse, there were several occasions when we had no running water — no way to shower, brush our teeth, or even flush the toilet. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, the receptionist simply said, “That’s an outside issue, it doesn’t have anything to do with us.” There was no apology, no sense of concern, and certainly no effort to make things right. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If you currently have a reservation at La Quinta, do yourself a favor and cancel it now — you’ll be glad you did.

Pluses - It's a good value for your money if the main thing you need from the hotel is a place to stay. The rooms seemed really clean and are decorated in very good taste. The staff was super nice at all times, which has a lot of weight of course. Minuses - if view is important for your experience this probably isn't the place for you. All we saw from the window is a train rail that was like 20 feet from the hotel, which brought another problem of train passing by loudly every hour or so during some of the night. Also the water in the shower are pretty noisi going down the drain. The breakfast was OK with self made waffles and syrops, but not 1 vegetable or fruit was offered aside a plate with some apples.

Stayed here for 2 nights with family. Hotel seems to be renovated recently, room looked neat and clean but was very small. Breakfast was included but not much options and all ran out by 8.30 itself. They didn’t care to refill even after complaints.

Rooms are spacious. Room service wasn't good as the housekeeping did not provide the room service completely e.g. no toilet paper, trash not cleaned in the bathroom, no coffee cups, no coffee pods left, no bathroom amenities refilled. The toilet clogged but I was able to change room. Front desk staff members are helpful. The breakfast is same each day. Eggs, bagels, sausage, muffin, bread, waffle. You won't be able to eat it after 2 days. Juice cups are so small that one will keep spilling the juice under the juice machine. Extremely poor quality cereal and Apple juice. Definitely needs an upgrade and additional variety of breakfast items. One of the two elevator don't work. So, always a long wait.
