Hotel is amazing. Very good location making it easy to transport to different parts of the city. Staff is friendly and amazing. Breakfast is of a nice quality and quantity. The only thing that need to be improved is the men bathroom near the pool as it was locked and I end up using the woman bathroom instead , with my wife in the look out. Some of The gym equipment is outdated but that was not a big deal for me as I only used it once. Will definitely stay again in Novotel and recommend it to friends and family.

It has a great location and it was easy to get around to different places (walking, taxi, etc.). Breakfast/food in general was excellent & everything was reasonably priced. However the Wi-Fi in the room does not work, so I would recommend anyone staying there to buy/bring a Sim to use for data. The amenities were also slightly disappointing, as the spa and gym have very limited resources but the staff & service were generally accommodating (e.g. 24/7 room service). I would stay there again.

Everyone was courteous and helpful. The room was great and the river view was amazing. The mini bar is overly expensive and not enough creamer. Kettle was cheap quality and pretty old. The reception is tight, pool area is pretty small, no green areas around and the roof top is paid to enjoy.

We stayed three nights at Novotel Cairo El Borg, and the experience was… memorable in ways both intended and not. Breakfast was genuinely good — loads of variety and plenty of authentic dishes. Adults will love it. Kids and teens… less so, but that’s sort of the theme of the hotel. The pool is small, mostly shaded, and apparently governed by strict water‑displacement laws. Getting in and out “too energetically” is discouraged because “too much water comes out.” So yes, swim gently. There are two restaurants. The food is good, the service is glacial. The Italian restaurant has zero atmosphere, while the rooftop restaurant redeems itself with jaw‑dropping views — though you’ll have plenty of time to admire them while waiting for your order. The location is great, but if you want sleep, book a Nile‑view room. We had an Egyptian wedding happening outside our window, complete with music, cheering, and the full celebration soundtrack until late. Lovely cultural experience… not so lovely when you need some sleep. We booked a family room for four, which initially came with exactly one bed, an unmade sofa bed, and no bedding. To be fair, housekeeping fixed it quickly — but it does reinforce the point that this hotel is not built with families in mind. And that brings us to the biggest issue: the constant supervision. The size of the room was good-plenty of space for 2 people and luggage. I liked there was a full length mirror near the door plus a desk space with power, lighting and another mirror. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom was the only negative. The shower did not get very hot and the pressure was terrible. Amenities in the bathroom were basic- hand wash at the basin, showergel and shampoo only in the shower. In addition, there was only one sanitary bag and as the staff seemed to be predominantly male, I had to ask and explain myself at reception and then again to housekeeping what I needed (both men who seemed very embarrassed once they understood what I was asking for). Breakfast options were a good mix between Egyptian and western food. There is also an ATM inside the lobby. Rooftop restaurant with good views but does not serve alcohol.

This is a nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay here. The location is right by the Nile and across from a park. Th rooms are decent size and clean. The elevators are fast and we didn't have to wait longer for them. Service by the staff was prompt. We really enjoyed the breakfast served each morning. It had a lot of options and fueled us for the day. Overall, nice stay and highly recommend.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our one night stay at the hotel. We had booked all non smoking rooms and initially were put on a smoking floor . The hotel does not clearly advertise that they are a “dry” hotel. The rooms were not as clean as we expected. After complaining the staff went out of their way to move us to a non smoking room . But would not stay here again

I was very surprised on how modern and clean the room was. The breakfast was also very pleasing and had a variety of options. Even the staff were smiling the whole time and were super nice. If I came to Cairo again, Novotel would be my go to.

나일강 뷰는 나쁘지 않으나, 너무 전체적으로 공기가 안 좋아 뷰가 별로입니다. 숙소 방금이 안되어서 밖으로 부터 차량 및 외부소음에 너무 취약하여 민감한 사람이 지내기에는 너무 불편한 호텔입니다. 화장실이 오래 되었구요.. 호텔 베게도 너무 높고.. 체크인 했는데 재떨이에 담뱃재.. 꽁초가 그대로 있었습니다. 수압이 약해서 샤워하기도 불편하고 조식도.. 종류도 너무없고 걍 별로에요.. 첫 후기인데 너무 너무 개인적으로 별로인 호텔이라 후기 남깁니다. 호텔 밖으로만 나가면 너무 너무... 더럽고 좀 그래요... 그냥 카이로에 머무실 꺼면 뉴 카이로 근처로 가세요..

Check-in was a bit chaotic with 20+ guests in reception. We were dealt with fairly quickly but surprised by the government tax of 50 EP per person per night (30 EP = £1). The 7th floor room was clean, spacious and very comfortable, with a large TV, 2 showers and a bath. The view from the bedroom windows was immense, overlooking The Nile. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty with hot and cold choices. The ONLY bad point, which did impact on our stay, was that at the top of the outside car ramp there were automatic retractable bollards. On our first evening we returned from an evening Nile Cruise and as we walked down the ramp the bollards raised without warning (no lights and no sounder) and tripped my partner who tumbled to the floor and badly cutting her shin and knee. The first aid service at the hotel was VERY POOR and we doubt that the first aider had any first aid training whatsoever. His idea of first aid was putting an alcohol wipe over the open cut and sticking it down with a 10cm wide plaster roll. My partner was in severe pain at this point and we asked the first aider to leave and return with a plaster (band aid) that I applied myself. When we checked out reception asked if we enjoyed our stay and I said yes except for the dangerous accident (they never said another word other than "goodbye"). We expected better than that from Novotel.

The Property has some of the best views of the Nile river. On the other side of the river there are the Ritz Carlton, Hilton Ramses and Fourseasons etc. but they are facing west, so for the most part of the afternoon you cannot look out of the window from those hotels. Novotel has the river to the East, so you enjoy nice sunrise and the Evenings as well. You can see the river cruises pass by from 8pm to 11PM.
The Property has some of the best views of the Nile river. We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights, on check in we were given 2 large single beds despite our booking being for a Double Bed and Double Sofa Bed. I’d like to think this was a mistake but it also happened on check in at the Novotel Cairo Airport. The issue was fixed when we went back to reception and showed them our booking confirmation. The WiFi worked okay in reception but was almost non existent in the room, such a shame for a lovely modern hotel to lack WiFi in 2023. In the room the shower was very weak but apart from that everything was perfect. On brighter notes the breakfast selection was fantastic, the pool area was very good and the massages from Ahmed were incredible and at a very reasonable price. We had room service one night and it was probably the best room service I’ve ever had from my limited experience. The location of this hotel is fantastic, surrounded by all the big chains but I’d argue this is in the best location of the lot. Just a short walk to the underground and some lovely restaurants on the island of Zamalek.

The rooms are old and they don’t have fridges so in the Cairo heat, you can’t even have a cold bottle of water. The staff at the desk told us there were no fridges available and that the one in our room was not a fridge but a box to “keep” temperature. The pool blasted very loud music and could not get away from people smoking.

Excellent location, walkable to a lot of attractions. Nile view room was amazing , the roof cafe was very nice. Breakfast was amazing, with wonderful staf. Rooms were comfy and clean. Not as big a hotel like the other ones on the Nile, but it was good for me.

Check-in was a bit chaotic with 20+ guests in reception. We were dealt with fairly quickly but surprised by the government tax of 50 EP per person per night (30 EP = £1). The 7th floor room was clean, spacious and very comfortable, with a large TV, 2 showers and a bath. The view from the bedroom windows was immense, overlooking The Nile. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty with hot and cold choices. The ONLY bad point, which did impact on our stay, was that at the top of the outside car ramp there were automatic retractable bollards. On our first evening we returned from an evening Nile Cruise and as we walked down the ramp the bollards raised without warning (no lights and no sounder) and tripped my partner who tumbled to the floor and badly cutting her shin and knee. The first aid service at the hotel was VERY POOR and we doubt that the first aider had any first aid training whatsoever. His idea of first aid was putting an alcohol wipe over the open cut and sticking it down with a 10cm wide plaster roll. My partner was in severe pain at this point and we asked the first aider to leave and return with a plaster (band aid) that I applied myself. When we checked out reception asked if we enjoyed our stay and I said yes except for the dangerous accident (they never said another word other than "goodbye"). We expected better than that from Novotel.

This was a typical Holiday Inn / Hampton Inn type hotel. Typical hot buffet breakfast with lots of kids running around. The room was more modern and upscale than a Holiday Inn. The only thing that sort of 'stuck in my mouth' was having to haggle with their taxi/tour service on prices. (Prices are very high and when you gasp, they expect you to bargain them down.) That's the whole point of using their service is NOT to haggle. Use Uber.

The front desk staff are really weird, and they talk to customers in a super rude and messed up way. The receptionist even chased me to the elevator to yell at me and cuss me out. I don't even know what else to say, they're hands down the worst employees I've ever seen, except for the nice lady who works with those monsters. I give this hotel a zero rating. The worst stay ever in my life not a safe hotel at all

We stayed three nights at Novotel Cairo El Borg, and the experience was… memorable in ways both intended and not. Breakfast was genuinely good — loads of variety and plenty of authentic dishes. Adults will love it. Kids and teens… less so, but that’s sort of the theme of the hotel. The pool is small, mostly shaded, and apparently governed by strict water‑displacement laws. Getting in and out “too energetically” is discouraged because “too much water comes out.” So yes, swim gently. There are two restaurants. The food is good, the service is glacial. The Italian restaurant has zero atmosphere, while the rooftop restaurant redeems itself with jaw‑dropping views — though you’ll have plenty of time to admire them while waiting for your order. The location is great, but if you want sleep, book a Nile‑view room. We had an Egyptian wedding happening outside our window, complete with music, cheering, and the full celebration soundtrack until late. Lovely cultural experience… not so lovely when you need some sleep. We booked a family room for four, which initially came with exactly one bed, an unmade sofa bed, and no bedding. To be fair, housekeeping fixed it quickly — but it does reinforce the point that this hotel is not built with families in mind. And that brings us to the biggest issue: the constant supervision. A week prior to booking in we contacted the Hotel directly and through Expedia and requested for both our rooms to be next to each other and we were informed that if it is possible they will try and accommodate. Once we arrived at the hotel at 2.00am they did not even have a room reserved for us and the staff at the desk called Osama and his work colleague try to cover up by lying and saying that we are trying to do you a favour by providing you with a sea view room Junior Suit, they tried to squeeze us in 1 room and wanted my son who is 4 years old, 7 months old child, 8 years old child and my mother who is above 50 to squeeze in 1 room with 1 Bathroom which does not lock and the room does not lock therefore as a couple sharing a room with his mother did not have any privacy. On our second day we were informed to come back to the room at 15.00 and we would be allocated a room which disturbed our itinerary and we had to cancel a few of the tourist attractions that we wanted to see. Once we arrived at the hotel at 15.00 we had to wait for another 2 rooms to be allocated to us. This wasted a lot of our time The Tea and coffee amenities never used to be updated regularly. During our stay Yehya even informed me to pay some sort of tax which I had to inform him that we have paid online therefore we should not be paying here.

Overall nice stay. Card system needs updating - it doesn't work in the lifts. And they should only start cleaning up breakfast at 10.30am if they say it ends at 10.30am, and not start taking stuff away at 10.25am. But we enjoyed and would certainly return.

This Hotel is near Cairo City Center but also accesible to go to other parts (as the pyramids) and also is clean and comfortable to stay after a full day of adventures outside. O quarto é “Ok”, simples, mas funcional. O chuveiro é bem fraco. A localização é muito boa para quem quer ficar perto da praça Tahir, do Museu e do Nilo. O café da manhã é bom. O ponto negativo é a internet Wi-Fi, simplesmente não funciona nos quartos e é muito lenta quando consegue conectar (lenta meeesmo), se precisar para trabalhar, aí é um desastre. Se precisar de internet, não escolha esse hotel.

This is a nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay here. The location is right by the Nile and across from a park. Th rooms are decent size and clean. The elevators are fast and we didn't have to wait longer for them. Service by the staff was prompt. We really enjoyed the breakfast served each morning. It had a lot of options and fueled us for the day. Overall, nice stay and highly recommend.

I did not like over charges . They put sodas and chocolates in the fridge, they didn’t tell me in the check in that you pay for it if you drink it or eat it . Other hotels they refill for you everyday for free . Whatever This sodas and chocolates wasn’t worth 200 Pounds which is4$ . They charged me 1700 pounds which is 40$ . Also food in the roof cafe was really bad me and my wife had a food poisoning.

The size of the room was good-plenty of space for 2 people and luggage. I liked there was a full length mirror near the door plus a desk space with power, lighting and another mirror. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom was the only negative. The shower did not get very hot and the pressure was terrible. Amenities in the bathroom were basic- hand wash at the basin, showergel and shampoo only in the shower. In addition, there was only one sanitary bag and as the staff seemed to be predominantly male, I had to ask and explain myself at reception and then again to housekeeping what I needed (both men who seemed very embarrassed once they understood what I was asking for). Breakfast options were a good mix between Egyptian and western food. There is also an ATM inside the lobby. Rooftop restaurant with good views but does not serve alcohol.

Airport arrival, as many other countries busy but organized. Upon arrival to the reception the staff was not very friendly. As expected the room wasn’t ready and it was no effort to accommodate us since we were traveling from St Marteen for 8.5 hours and having to wait for another 5 hours was less that ideal. The room was tiny and cumbersome. First it seems that none of the rooms has double beds. The bathroom door and the shower door were against each other. The shower was leaking into the floor and flooded the carpet each shower. Only a pull-up sofa that made a lot of noise if you move during the night.
