I was pleasantly surprised by this property. Front desk was extremely helpful. While the outside of the property looked dated, the inside of the room was very tastefully updated. They used high quality linens and it was very clean and quiet. The free breakfast was more than adequate for our purposes and we had a great stay. As a bonus, they provide complementary electric bicycles for use on the trails around the gorge and in the summer and a loan out kayaks for a paddle on the waterway. I will stay here again.

This looks like a dingy motel on the outside but was surprisingly good. The rooms were clean and comfortable though not fancy. The breakfast was excellent, and the free e-Bike rentals might have been the best amenity of all given Victoria's great bike infrastructure.

The King Studio room was clean and renovated, however, there is a distinct old and moldy smell when you enter. We suspected the very old furniture in the room and/or the carpet. It was quite unpleasant and we had to leave the window open for the night. We liked the latte machine at breakfast. The location was good and staff was very friendly.

This was an affordable motel that provided a nice breakfast every morning. Some front desk staff were very helpful, friendly, and professional -- exceptional, really. Upon check in, for example, the front desk staff helped carry luggage into the room in light of the use of a cane. Other front desk staff were the opposite, so it's really luck of the draw. The room was clean with the exception of the bathroom, which was disgusting. There were ants crawling all over the sink. The rim of the toilet hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. The shower was described as accessible, however there were no grab bars, so be forewarned if you have accessibility needs. The garbage and recycling were never collected so it was over flowing by check out after a 6 night stay. This made the sign in the kitchenette to clean all the dishes or face a $25 surcharge a bit rich. Upon leaving the room at 10:59am for 11am cleck out, the front desk called the room -- I had to return to the room from the sidewalk to answer it -- telling me to check out. A very inhospitable way to leave that leaves one feeling unwelcome and not very eager to return. Certainly if a guest seems to be sticking around 5, 10, 15 minutes (even 2 minutes if necessary?) after check out, the front desk ought to call to find out if ending is OK and to remind the guest of check out. This felt like being kicked out. Like I said, service standards really depend on the luck of the draw in terms of who you get at the front desk.

The staff are EXCELLENT. Front desk staff Yosef and Sid = fabulous. Young Mr. Fix-it came to our aid when we were having problems with one electrical plug … showed us what we were doing wrong. Gal in breakfast area = cheerful and helpful. Housekeeping staff = great. Your staff are outstanding! Room is clean and bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is very basic but an easy money saver and time saver. Being able to borrow the electric bikes and kayaks is a massive plus. So much fun! Very close to the galloping goose for bike riding and the gorge for kayaking. Thanks!

The dated room featured musty carpets (though the renovated bathroom was clean), yet cost $280+tax per night - a shocking markup for what's typically an $80 property. The hidden fees were particularly egregious: • Despite Expedia's listing showing a kitchen, it was locked behind an additional $15 fee (which I had to pay since there was no way to keep my dog's raw food frozen otherwise) • A $30/night pet fee (though frankly, there's hardly anything in these rooms that a pet could damage) The final insult came at checkout: I politely greeted the staff with "Good morning," only to be met with a perpetual frown and the curt dismissal: "You can go now." No thank you, no acknowledgment - just pure rudeness. At $80? Maybe acceptable. But at 3.5 times that price plus all these extra fees? Absolutely unacceptable. Always have your ID handy when staying here, staff don’t know their guests and you’ll be constantly harassed to prove to them that you’re a guest. They charge top dollar for all that and no lift. It’s more of a overpriced backpacker joint.

The staff member (Yousaf I think) who checked us in and was there for next 2 days was the BEST. You really need to keep him. The room and breakfast was in line with cost of room. If we ever come back to Victoria we will definitely stay there. 🤗

Was very impressed by the size of the room and comfort of the beds for the price. Parking was easy and a short walk along the water to some nice dining options (e.g. Glo) and even closer to a comedy/sports club with great specials (Heckler's). Front desk staff were welcoming and open to an early check in so I could attend an online meeting. Would recommend!

Our stay was fantastic! The room was renovated, new and was spotless! Our shower/ bath liner was a photograph of ocean shore line, it totally elevated the space! The motel was close enough to downtown, but far enough away that it was in a safe neighbourhood, along a major bus route. They provided a continental breakfast service, e-bikes and kayaks, although we didnt stay long enough to use the equiptment. I would strongly recomend Robinhood Inn and Suites, we for sure will chose Robinhood again for our next stay!

The staff was very friendly and attentive. Location is close to town. The building is older, but the room was clean with a newly renovated bathroom and fresh, clean bed. The air conditioner was a bit loud, but opening the window for some cool, fresh air was a good substitute. All in all it was a great place for an overnight trip for a great price.

Good location outside of the city centre put walk ball by really nice bike/walk path into the centre. Great parking and really good value place to stay with individual rooms with cooking facilities that look very well cleaned. The staff were really nice and helpful at resolving any issues. The Hotel had the facility of kayaks and bikes advertised but these were booked up quickly and not available. Unfortunately some of the facilities were broken like the ice machine and the one of the Washing MAchine machines. Overall it was really good value for money though, and the rooms are a good size And they had free breakfast.

The location was good as it was close to many popular tourist spots, but not right in the hustle and bustle. Nicely updated bathrooms and the free bike rentals are a great option! The breakfast could use some additions (it’s just toast, yogurt cups, croissants, porridge packets, apples, and cereal), but it wasn’t awful. The breakfast area also has multiple TVs, a pool table, books, puzzles, and games that guests can use which is nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The room was fine, and the beds comfortable, except the pillows which were blocks of rubber. The bed when the sheets were pulled back had blood stains and other secretions on it that were totally disgusting. The hotel did change the sheets immediately when we notified them. The breakfast is the worst we have come across in any hotel so far. The orange juice for example was colored powder mixed in water. They should simply shut this horrible continental breakfast down rather than leading people astray with this make belief offering of breakfast being included. Be aware that they do not come in to cleanup or refresh the room on a multi night stay. They will only cleanup and refresh the room if you stay 7 nights straight. The hallmark of a low end hotel. It's disappointing, as otherwise it could be an acceptable hotel.

Overall the stay was good. We were late getting in however the reception was friendly and checked us in very quickly. The combination living/dining room was functional, the bed which is in a separate room was quite comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, however the frying pan has been well used which caused a great deal of smoke. We looked but couldn’t find an exhaust fan for the kitchen which would have definitely helped with the smoke. The continental breakfast that was included was fairly basic (yet adequate) which based on other reviews I was prepared for. It included a pancake machine, assorted cereals, fruit, hard boiled eggs, bread, yogurt, juices, coffee, and tea.
Overall the stay was good. We were late getting in however the reception was friendly and checked us in very quickly. The rooms were pretty quiet. I really liked that the staff made it a point to stress the quiet hours. The shower had good water pressure. The TV worked and the breakfast was good as well. The only suggestions I have is that the breakfast could benefit from another one of those pancake makers because that’s pretty much the bulk of the breakfast that people like. So there is usually a line when it gets busy. The other part is that the inn is located far enough from the city that it isn’t super convenient if you want to visit Victoria a lot without moving the car. Victoria charges for parking and there’s a lot of pedestrians. Parking the car at the inn is annoying because the spots are small as well as low in quantity. If it’s busy, you might have to park on the street (the streets are tiny when you have parking on both sides of the street with two way traffic. Lastly, apparently the sheets get cleaned with an extra chemical when they are extra dirty. Depending on the amount of tough stains and amount of time those chemicals sit on the cloth, can change the appearance of the sheets. Sometimes that chemical leaves suspicious (and frankly off putting) stains on the sheets that look like other fluids. Maybe time to replace those sheets?

This looks like a dingy motel on the outside but was surprisingly good. The rooms were clean and comfortable though not fancy. The breakfast was excellent, and the free e-Bike rentals might have been the best amenity of all given Victoria's great bike infrastructure.
