This hotel does NOT have an elevator. When we found out, we ask for help or something else, and were ignored. The room had ROACHES. We didn't notice until the morning. They were crawling around the shower and near the air conditioner. Bottom basement, when it comes to a hotel. I have stayed at many La Quinta hotels and they were very good. Wyndham should REMOVE their name from this hotel. Later the next day, we removed everything from our belongings and washed them and sprayed them. Again, if money is an issue, it was location for me, think twice.

Needs some upgrading… room Cards did not work to access side doors… Very nice pool….

Pool area and stair well smelt of smoke(not sure whar was being smoked).

The site doesn’t have an elevator and when I asked where one was the last at the desk said it was to the left but there wasn’t one. We had to carry our luggage upstairs and were told there weren’t any other rooms available. When we asked again the person at the front desk said there wasn’t an elevator We were on the second floor. Holes in walls by the AC. Blind won’t go up so dark in room. Pull out couch was not connected so we had to figure out how to connect it and not push it apart while sleeping and breakfast was waffles you make or cold cereal. Disappointed

Bathrooms were dirty, beds were hard without a pillow top cover, sheets and blankets were thin and rough, there were too many people coming in and out the hotel who were loud, marijuana smoke fumed from the rooms on the floor. Breakfast was oatmeal, pancakes, small muffins and toast. No meat, eggs, or anything hot for breakfast. Only juice and coffee, no water. No elevator, just stairs, 2 floors only. Great location. Close to a lot of places.

This hotel is in disrepair, is dirty, and does not offer the amenities stated. An example is breakfast, four slices of regular bread, three mini muffins, a dirty baked on waffle iron, and cereal that is caked into the dispensers, does not constitute a continental breakfast for an entire hotel. Severe water damage in the ceiling of our shower, moldings torn up and separating from the walls with black something (maybe mold) around them. Sink is separating from the countertop. Countertop doesn’t fit the cabinet which doesn’t fit the wall. Many of the Pool chairs are not usable, ice machine doesn’t work, front desk staff can be found outside washing their car.

The bed was noisy and not comfortable. Every time you roll over it sounds like springs are breaking. The pillows are small like throw pillows. The flooring is pulling up and lumpy. But the worst part was the bathroom. I don’t think it’s ever been properly cleaned. There is mildew under the rim of the sink, stains in the toilet, and pubic hair was left in the bathtub.

The staff was very friendly. Outside and lobby appeared to be updated. The room not so much. The hallway and stairs needed to be vacuufloorinIn the room there was new flooring, new couch, and maybe the other furniture. The refrigerator was working but appearance was rough. The attempted patch work on the walls and trim was poor at best. You could see light all the way around the door. The bathroom was the worst part. The was a faint urine smell, the tub insert had black scuff marks and needed a good cleaning, the shower curtain was torn, and there was mold on the ceiling. Overall the room needed a through cleaning and a much better update. I wish I had taken photos but I didn't think about it at the time. Had I not booked ahead of time and prepaid we would have left as soon as we seen the room.

The carpet was dirty. They were remodeling dustEverywhere. Heater was filthy with mold.

The rooms are filthy and has water damage holes in walls the hall ways are filthy no elevator so enjoy carrying your luggage up a flight of stairs we didn’t even shower there was smudges of dirt in shower didn’t eat breakfast because if the hotel is that dirty they are not cleaning the dishes no thank you

This property was the worse we have ever been to. The bedding had a bad odor, the whole room smelled like mold and mildew. Terrible, would not recommend

Don’t believe the pictures. The carpet was nasty and the bathroom door handle was broken. The water was shut off at least twice with no notification to evidently accommodate the revision of another room. Check in was horrible with only one desk clerk handling the phone and check-ins. Even though we had pre checked in, we had to wait at least 15 minutes while the desk clerk was apparently taking care of an issue with another guest trying to check in. I would not recommend this hotel for my dog to stay in.

There was black mold on the ceiling and inside the air conditioner. The bathroom was filthy. I will say the check in staff was very polite and the beds were comfortable.

I took puctures of the dirt and mold in the bathroom. The internet barely worked and I kept getting dropped while trying to work. Even though we had our "do not disurb" sign on the door, room service kept asking us for dirty towels and garbage. The smoke detector was missing in our room and the hallway smoke alarms were covered with plastic bags. Smelled like cigarette smoke and musty.

This "hotel" was sub-standard. Not because it was dirty, but because it is not maintained. The room was dark and the floor lamp provided was broken. When I told the front desk she said they would replace it the next day. Never did. The main door to the room and the bathroom door were falling off their hinges. Consequently, neither door opened nor shut easily. The bathroom door doesn't really matter but the main door had a 1/2" gap at the bottom where I could see the feet of the other guests passing by in the hall. The door was extremely difficult to open as the gaping caused the latch to not operate properly. Also told the front desk. The hotel was booked so there wasn't another room available. The mini fridge's freezer was so frosted up nothing could be shoved in it. The bathroom sink faucet was not screwed tightly below the sink, so it lifted up whenever I pulled the handle up to turn it on. Hot and cold water lines are reversed (not a huge deal; it happens) but turning the lever to the left for cold water brought a small trickle of water. The right side was SCALDING HOT water. So I brushed my teeth using the tub faucet. The shower curtain was too short for the tub (or was hung too high) and barely touched the edge of the tub thereby allowing all the water from the shower head to flow over the edge of the tub and soak the floor. I will say the bed was very comfortable, but we were awakened at 7:00 am by the barking dogs at the daycare behind us.

You can tell they purchased an old hotel and have been doing upgrades as they go. No bugs. Beds are outdated and hard. Pretty sure the water isn’t filtered on the building. Breakfast is what you would expect at a $100 a night hotel. Also doubt they change the sheets everytime. And a strong note for the owner, longer shower curtains would keep the water damage to minimum vs the short ones I’ve seen 2 times now and the obvious floor issues caused by water around the tubs. Pretty decent hotel for $100 a night

Fire sprinkler inside is the room covered with a plastic cup? They are trying but… I guess you get what you pay for. Breakfast, we ended up skipping it. Bed was actually pretty good, but you can hear your neighbors getting ready. And they start chasing runs before 8am so you hear the vacuums and moving pieces around like if they were in your room.

The bed had a metal base that sounded like sheet metal making noise whenever there was movement on the bed.

The door to my room would hardly lock. The door to the bathroom was broken. There were pipes sticking out of the walls, which is unsafe. The bed was lumpy. There were workers at midnight in the hallway, talking loudly. The whole place just felt dirty. It needs to be redone. I know they are putting a new tile which does look nice. The shower curtain did not meet the top of the shower so water went all over the floor.

If it’s raining hard , room 204 will flood. My daughter woke up to her blanket soaking wet on the pull out bed. The window and where it looks like the ac unit is at was leaking bad!

Booked a room here when we visited for a friends wedding. Doors slamming all night long, room key took forever to get to work EVERYTIME you left the room and there is a huge dog park/boarding kennel 25ft from the building that releases every single dog there at 5:30-6:00am. Woke up every single morning to the sound of a dog invasion, slamming doors, and hotel cleaning staff having shouting conversations in the hallways.

Everything was fine EXCEPT no one was at the front desk when I left. I waited 30 minutes and saw no one.

Bed was actually pretty good, but you can hear your neighbors getting ready. And they start chasing runs before 8am so you hear the vacuums and moving pieces around like if they were in your room.

Hotel room was disgusting. Staff couldn’t find my reservation even though I called a day before to confirm it. We arrived late at night and didn’t have any other options so I had to ask for a a vacancy and paid twice to stay at the worst hotel I’ve been to in my life. Find somewhere else.

The room was nice and the cleaning staff was excellent. The only problem I had was the highway noise which could not be controlled.

This property was probably one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. First there was baseboards hanging off the wall with nails exposed. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The bed would make a loud hollow drum noise anytime you move. The top comforter was dirty. You could hear people talking next door all night the walls are paper thin. After being awake all night due to the thin walls at 8a.m. I was woke up with probably 20 dogs barking constantly from the doggy daycare next door. I would not recommend staying at this property. The staff was very nice though.

A cheap hotel for a night stay while traveling further away. Area was a bit rough seeming, rooms look like photos but need some updating or fixing.

Heating in the cold weather was always at a good temperature all staff was talkative and friendly and the local made it easy to get any supplies that i may have missed to bring with me.

This old La Quinta is being remodeled as a long term stay hotel, however the appliances were connected for use yet. Our biggest concern was the lack of a couch in the room that the picture showed when making the reservation. As a family of 5 we needed the couch; the manager did as much as he could by providing additional sheets/blankets and pillows to be used with the small chair in the room. The breakfast left a lot to be desired.

The room appeared to have not been vacuumed as there were crumbs all over the floor. The bed also had some mystery substance all over the top cover. We requested a new room and the second room also appeared to have not been vacuumed and those beds were not very clean either, but we had no other options so we stayed. The beds were also uncomfortable and very noisy. Breakfast offered consisted of a few types of cereal, yogurt, waffles and that was it. The hotel needs a major remodel and general maintenance. There are water spots on many of the ceilings, holes in the walls, etc. We were supposed to stay here on our way back from our trip but cancelled.

Property a little difficult to find. Reserved two rooms. Both were ready early but issues with payment. Hotel charged CC used to hold the reservations without permission for one room not the other. Not good. Decor is dated and worn. Needs some upgrades and refurbishment. Breakfast was average. No hair dryer

For LaQuinta/Wyndam to actually say they have a breakfast is preposterous. There basically was no coffee, I guess from the look of the staff, decaffeinated MUD is what they consider coffee. There basically was yogurt, cereal, stale bread, stale muffins, warm milk and some kind of torture device for waffles and coagulated syrup that was probably a year old.. The sink facet in the bathroom was falling off the sink and the room looked like it had been in the middle of a remodeling effort. Wyndom, do yourself a favor and shutdown the Laquinta in Decatur, Alabama. I will never stay there again. .
