The lobby had a horrible stench of cat urine when we checked in. We were very disappointed with the location and layout of the pool. There were cigarette butts floating in an ash tray on the table, no towels and other guests socks and a shirt left behind. The LVT in our room was so slick from the cleaner used and there were several things broken - the drawer on the dresser, the privacy curtains, the towel holder and false drawer pull in the bathroom. The kitchen area and fridge were nice but we forgot to turn on our ice maker and there were no ice machines in the hotel. Overall very disappointing for this part of Bluffton.

It would have been appropriate to notify us that the elevator was broken and our room was on 4th floor. The clerk said it had been broken since Monday and today is Saturday.i felt fortunate it was just one night but this was not a great introduction to staying with Candlewood suites.

First of all the elevator wasn't working the entire week. Come to find out, it had been 2. Our room was missing the tv in the bedroom, took 3 days to get one. The fan in the wall that is supposed to pull the ac into the bedroom didn't work.Offered to let me change rooms after 2 days of being left hanging. Told maintenance would be up,never showed or called to lmk they were waiting on tv and parts for fan(which never did get fixed). Most of the staff was not very friendly or helpful. Laundry room was free but had only 2 washers working and 3 dryers that worked. Asked for propane for the grill and was told they didn't have any. Another guest told us where they kept the refills and low and behold there was propane. Employee at desk was just too lazy to be bothered. Also, was granted a late check out but still got locked out of my room while loading my vehicle. Actually not a bad place. Just needs a bit of maintenance and better more caring employees. Some were actually quite rude.

The internet access was horrible, even with the WiFi. The staff is outstanding. The pool water was dirty, there’s baby alligators hanging around the gas grills that could be very dangerous. Other than that it was a pleasant stay

Our room was very dirty. The overhead lights in the kitchen/main portion of the unit did not function, staff was informed of this after check in but the issue was never addressed. The paint & trim around the bathroom door was damaged, as if the door had been forced open, and the lock did not function. There was dirty adhesive residue in the shower where some type of dispenser used to be, and most of all there was mold in & around the AC unit. Every morning we woke up coughing and full of phlegm, as if we’d both smoked a pack of cigarettes the night before. Aside from all this, it’s a convenient location, however next time we will stay at the Hampton Inn next door.

Didn’t sleep couldn’t breath from the time you walked into the lobby it smelled. Couldn’t sleep because the room smelled so bad. Definately need to get air filters/purifiers or something won’t ever stay there again. And I don’t ever leave review but because I read good reviews I decided to stay. I am an IHG member and have stayed at many of their hotels. The assistant general manager at this property was confrontational, rude and disrespectful to me. He should be fired if that's the way he treats customers, especially loyal IHG members.

Enjoyed a 3 night stay here & loved every bit of it. Great stay for the price. Room was very clean, staff was super helpful & friendly. Area around the property felt very safe & had lots to do! Had a hiccup adding an additional day; manager Latisha and staff Brey cleared it up very efficiently & accommodated for any inconvenience. This will absolutely be a go to hotel for us! Very pet-friendly & great for service animals as well!

We had booked the reservation at this hotel and had a confirmation number. When we arrived at the hotel, they told us that the hotel was overbooked and there is nothing they could do. They told us that they were going to refund us our money and never did. Now, we have to work with Expedia to chase our money down. Stay away from this property.

We have been to this hotel many times. and it never disappoints. I want to give a shout out to Carly at the front desk. She went over and above to help us with everything we needed. She’s the perfect person to have at the front desk to welcome people. She was so friendly and outgoing. We will be back and we will be staying there again. ZERO STARS – ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I stayed at Candlewood Suites for two nights while attending my father’s memorial service, and it was one of the most frustrating and disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. When I checked in, I was informed there was no hot water, but I was reassured it was “fixed” and they were just waiting for the “glue to dry”—whatever that means. Glue? Really? Hot water either works or it doesn’t. Spoiler: it didn’t work for over 24 hours, which meant I had to shower at my father’s widow’s home before the memorial. Completely unacceptable. Next, the room key didn’t work. I had to go back and forth to the front desk multiple times to get into my room. This became such an ongoing issue that the staff finally gave me a master key to the hotel, which honestly felt like a massive security risk. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the room wasn’t even the one I reserved. I paid extra for a king bed but was given a queen instead. The TV didn’t work and had to be set up by staff, and the phone in the room was broken, so anytime I needed anything (which was often), I had to physically go downstairs to the desk. After dealing with all these issues, I asked for a discount for my troubles. The front desk handed me a card saying I should contact Expedia, who would then contact the hotel to approve a refund. I followed their instructions, only to have Expedia tell me days later that the hotel refused to approve the

Raven from the front desk was spectacular. She checked us in and from the beginning she was very professional and it took under five minutes for check-in.Raven, was always there if we needed help with anything. Upon approach to the property it was clean and scenic. We were welcomed with a smile by Lori. The lobby and hallways were clean. Once in the room, it was clean, clean and pleasant smell. The bathroom was up to date and clean. There was lotion, shampoo and bathwash. The room was very spacious. Upon leaving it was easy out as well. There was no breakfast offered at this site but we found a Cracker Barrel across the street. Great place to stay, I would recommend it.
