La Fiesta Ocean Inn & Suites

Very nice very convenient to downtown St Augustine. Only complaint is a $45 fee the hotel charged which we didn’t know about because it was not advertised anywhere.

This is a beautiful property, the room was clean, it was quiet and the in-room breakfasts every morning were very much appreciative. The beach access is amazing, literally a 5 minute walk. I would give the overall experience 5 stars but there was one item that kind of ticked us off so I dropped it to a 4 - a resort fee of $25 per day. For that, you get literally nothing - no weight room, no hot tub, nothing. I have absolutely ZERO idea why they charge it, kind of made us scratch our heads. If they needed the extra $25, then put it in the room price - resort fees are ridiculous.

No elevator to second floor! Dragging luggage up the stairs is very inconvenient and dangerous! Suitcase was scuffed from concrete staircase!

Awesome views, great breakfast, and the pool was great. As a Floridian you never know if the pool will reflect the outside temp but it was sooo refreshing. The girls in the front were super nice. Def recommend

It is a very old and outdated property. A surprising ameninity was having breakfast delivered to room i the morning. Also when making reservation with Hotels.com i was not told of an additional resort fee due when checking in. This fee added the cost i would have payed in a more modern location.

Spring break with grandchildren. Enjoyed the beach access and the heated pool.The Hotel and miniature golf were very nicely landscaped.

Great location - right by the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the heated pool and time on the beach. Having our breakfast brought right to our room was a nice touch.

Very well kept...very clean. The pool is amazing and enclosed with foliage..so, private. They bring you free breakfast in the morning directly to your room. There is also a private walkway to the beach. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely going back.

I decided not to listen to the bad reviews saying that the rooms were dirty and smelly and that the service was bad. I thought that my standards weren't that high. I was wrong! When we checked in the lady at the desk was not pleasant or welcoming and got irritated at me for not listening to her directions and suggestions speech. The room was very small and the bathroom was barely big enough for one person. There was mold in the shower and on the curtain. The fridge didn't close properly and wasn't cold. The bed was very firm and I thought it was uncomfortable, but my husband didn't think so. Worst of all was the smell. It was damp and moldy and smelled horribly stale. It was one of the worst hotel room smells I've encountered. The breakfast, while brought to your room, wasn't much to eat. However I did enjoy the scone very much. I'm pretty sure they bring breakfast to you because there is no where in site to serve a breakfast, everything is so small. You pay for in the $45 hotel fee. The only real redeeming feature was the proximity to the beach compared to the price. But I would have rather paid more and stayed farther from the beach. We left earlier than planned and will not be returning. If anything in the reviews concerns you, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The negative reviews are accurate.

This hotel is very old and could definitely use some modernization. The landscaping is beautiful, as is the pool. My biggest gripe was housekeeping. You had to tell them each day if you wanted housekeeping - which I did. Yesterday, our last day there, I requested housekeeping. All they did was empty the trash cans and put out towels. Did not make the bed, did not clean the bathroom. When I complained, they did come back and make the bed - but that was it. Very disappointing! Also, the floors and the throw rugs in the room were disgusting! I don't know if they ever wash the floors! Do not see us ever going back to LaFiesta!!!

To sum it up, 10/10. From the moment I arrived the staff was friendly during check in. As I made my way to my room I noticed the grounds of the property were manicured and beautiful. I love the Spanish/tropical vibes. When entering my I noticed the carpet was actual clean and no moldy, dingy smell at all. The bathroom was spotless and didn’t smell either. The walls and floors were clean ( even the hard to reach areas behind the toilet ) The convenience of being close to the beach, activities and food choices were great. This is my third trip to St. Augustine but my first stay at La Fiesta. It will definitely not be my last. I loved the entire experience staying here and I will DEFINITELY be back.

Room and grounds very clean and landscaped, staff accommodating and professional. Breakfast served every morning to the door. Easy and short walk beach access, ocean view from the balcony. Excellent location for activities, food, shopping. Will stay each time I’m in St Augustine.

The property itself is in a nice location. The rooms are outdated, parking seems limited for the number of rooms, our AC went out three times, after the first time we where told to turn it off and back on after 15 and it would be fine. We did that and it worked until it did it again, we did the same thing and I turned the temperature up to 77 thinking that would fix it. It went off again our last night in the middle of the night and we woke up covered in sweat and the humidity was ridiculous. Then there was the ants. We came back from dinner Saturday and got ready for bed and my son was like there are ants all over the sink area where the coffee maker was. I called the front desk and was told there was no body to deal with it right now, that they are just sugar ants and are not going to hurt us, the hurting us was not the problem having lots of ants in our room was the problem and we had our food in the refrigerator so not sure where they came from. Overall location was great for us just wish the rooms where worth what we paid, but to have our AC go out three times and the ant problems with nobody ever coming to check was poor service. Also the “Free breakfast”where microwave Jimmy Deans biscuits (similar to that) or same thing for the other options except for boiled egg and yogurt. The orange juice was in a cup smaller than a child’s sippy cup. There is no dinning area they have to bring it to the room and make you feel like you need to tip them for just bad food.

Very clean, friendly hotel in a fantastic location on the beach. Staff was excellent.

Great location however the floor was sticky in the room and the toilet looked as though someone had used it. Not the worst but probably should have spent the extra for a name brand hotel. Room was very small and dated. All the wall sockets were worn out and loose. Again bargan price for the location but expected a bit nicer.

Do not get the room with a pool view. Those are very basic rooms and good for sleeping and nothing else. Upgrade to ocean view. It is worth it!

This property is in a great location. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and the breakfast snack is just enough to get your day started. The walls are thin and sometimes you can hear your neighbors.

Like, oh, you’re here. Ok, thanks. No smile, no greet, etc…not rude, just expected more. Our room window faced the mini golf course and at night it was SO bright with no way to darken the room. There were blinds, but should have had a pull down shade like the front window.

Beautiful location on the beach. Large heated pool. Attractive landscaping. Free breakfast is meager, but delivered to the room (not including coffee, have to walk to office). Like many properties of this age and location, there is some mold, but not offensive. Just not modern or pristine.

Mattress was a bit to firm sunlight that comes from for window was annoying direct into your face in the early morning and the blind is on the outside of door which is super uncomfortable it was chilly out and not wanting to get up n out to shut it at 6 am Was brutal

Rooms a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. I stayed 2 nights in a townhouse unit with upper balcony ocean view. Adequate breakfast delivered to room each morning. Grounds were beautiful. Pool looked nice but I did not use. Parking was good; beach access good. Check in easy. I recommend the townhouse units.

My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We booked this room for a one night get away to see the lights. The down stairs had a TV, two pull out coaches, a balcony overlooking the garden, mini fridge, sink and a bathroom with a shower. The upstairs had a king sized bed, TV, balcony with partial ocean view, and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. There was a heated pool on the property and private beach access. Approximately 5 minute walk to the beach from our room. For breakfast they give you a card to fill out and hang on the outside of your door for pickup in the morning. The card gives each guest the option for orange juice and two food items each.some of the food items included hard boiled eggs, scones, sausage egg and cheese biscuit, sausage egg and cheese croissant and beagles. Overall the room was comfortable and we had an enjoyable stay.

I CHOSE THIS HOTEL BECAUSE OF THE 9.2 RATING, THE FREE BREAKFAST, AND LOCATION. THE STAFF WERE GREAT, THE LOCATION WITH BEACH ACCESS IS GOOD. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. HOWEVER, THE BREAKFAST WAS 2 ITEMS AND A JUICE SELECTED FROM A LIMITED MENU DELIVERED TO THE ROOM AND THE THE WALLS BETWEEN OUR ROOM AND OUR NEIGHBOR ARE SO THIN YOU CAN MAKE OUT ALL BUT A VERY QUIET CONVERSATION. NO WAY IS THIS HOTEL A 9, 6 AT BEST.

Housekeeping was a bit lacking. We didn’t get service our second day. The receptionist at the front desk seemed bothered to be there!

Every staff member we interacted with was very friendly and accommodating. The property was well kept but some aspects could use an update. Overall though the cleanliness, comfort, great service and resort type amenities overcame all that.

The biggest perks: -breakfast is delivered to your room each morning (you put selections card hanger in the outside of your door in the evening) *you choose from a few time frames -pool, pool tables, pool chairs, pool / wet deck are kept uber clean -bath towels are thick -coffee is available in the lobby each evening after 8:30 PM and around 6 AM in the morning (coffee mini makers are available in each room) -great bars, beach shops, and restaurants are in walking distance / Uber is fairly cheap to travel to historic district from here -the staff is always helpful & full of smiles, advice for places to visit, and chit chat -La Fiesta Falls (mini golf) is right next to the hotel -right off A1A

our room had a terrible mold smell and so did our friends room!! my sinuses went crazy so i had to do flonase! way too much money for what we got!!! won’t be staying there again but the employees were super friendly

Very clean. Great access to a great beach. Easy commute to old town St. Augustine. The only negative was the breakfast delivered to the room was not always timely which affected the timing of your daily activities.

La Fiesta is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. I was only there overnight but everything was great. We arrived early and Gina at the lobby desk did her best of have a room ready for us. We swam in the outside heated pool and Gina gave us beach towels Breakfast was brought to your room at a chosen time. We left our selection on the menu provided and hung it outside our door. The grounds were beautifully kept and had lovely Christmas decorations. There was a small garden outside our patio and a path that lead to the beach. Gina who is the owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend La Fiesta and plan on returning for a summer stay. Great place for a decent price.

The nicest and friendliest person who greeted us and made this visit awesome. We were there on our eighth anniversary, and she made it special and upgraded us. I don't have the words to thank her. There is a shuttle which will take you straight to St. Augustine so you don't have to drive.

The staff at the front desk was very polite and accommodating. Clean facilities and room. Private walkway to the beach. A wonderful experience.

We had a balcony room that was fantastic view of the lush gardens , dunes and ocean. Private walkway to the beach was nice. Room was spacious and clean with breakfast delivered at your picked time . Sunrise was beautiful. Staff very friendly. Pool area nice. Walked to restaurants . Definitely will come back!!!

Great location with private walkway to the beach. Easy drive to downtown St. Augustine. Loved that breakfast was delivered to our room (limited breakfast choices, but they were fine with us). I could hear the people next door talking at times, but it didn’t keep me awake. We walked next door and played mini golf, fun course. We enjoyed our stay there.

Great little gem of a hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, comfortable beds, good water, pressure.. she did pool is a nice touch as well as breakfast service. We really enjoyed our visit. Friendly reception staff. Location great for 5 min walk along garden path to the beach. Also walkable to a couple of local restaurants. Reasonable breakfast delivered to your room. Our room was a little on the small side and decor is quite dark but location is unbeatable for a few days of total relaxation around the pool and on the beach.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was! Short walk to the beach which was also great. Nice pool area as well! Rooms are nice and beds are comfy! Front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful with recommendations for dinner. They bring breakfast to your room which is very convenient. Everything was hot and fresh - nothing outstanding but still very good! Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

This quaint little hotel was absolutely fabulous. Loved ordering breakfast and having it delivered to the room. The scones are delicious. Loved staying here. Hope to make another trip there.

This hotel we had a pleasant 2 night stay, clean and comfortable, we did not like the fact that you had breakfast delivered to your room, and the fact that the breakfast was not worth having , they ought to advertise without breakfast in our opinion. staff were cheerful and easy to talk to.

Suite 10 was a great room. The breakfast is hot and delicious.
