Auburn Lodge near University

Property is old and kind of rundown. First room I was given and not been cleaned. The hotel is very overpriced for what you get.

Excellent choice for value stay. Renovations are tremendous. Rooms very clean and nicely appointed.

Great place for a short stay - access to Interstate, but quiet, newly renovated and very clean and comfortable. Met our needs perfectly!!

Was in town for a ballgame. The room was very clean and nice could have had one more set of towels there was only 2 and there was three of us. The only bad thing was the park lot got loud late at night with young kid pregame partying being it's a motel.

The recent renovations were done really well.

Older style hotel but the rooms are updated and everything was spotless. Will be staying again.

One thing is that the property is being renovated so that has ups and downs but the improvements are fantastic. The location is great to do everything in the Auburn area. We have stayed here multiple times and will continue to do so based on our last visit. The staff was so friendly and easy to do things with. All of the crew was friendly too and despite the work going on, not noisy or disruptive. The eagle pictures are a nice touch as well.

Basically clean except two of the towels. Building is SO old and you can hear the highway from the room. The water from the faucet was so loud it seemed like a train was coming down the tracks. Lobby was super dated. Think updated motel 6 that is only good if you’re totally out of options on a game weekend.

The stay wasn’t quiet on the backside of my stay

The bath tub was dirty and the sheet was dingy.Ask for housekeeping to come and check on it . And the guy show up with a small towel and spray bottle and it was still dirty Never Again

The pictures make the rooms look new but there were cockroaches, our room stunk like mold and the floor had dirt and spilt things on it.

Live roaches in the room as soon as i opened the door. Turned around and left immediately, and they still charged me!

Killed three cockroaches and they guess ppl next to us was being loud and rowdy until almost 3 AM in the morning. I had to call the front desk twice complaining about the loud neighbors.

The room, bed linens, and bathroom were filthy. We could not stay and checked out immediately.

We were comfortable, and satisfied with the breakfast. All was good except for encountering a few tiny roaches

I have stayed at this hotel for more than 4 years off on as i found it to always be safe,clean,good location, as well as a friendly staff. My stay this time was from November 28-30th and as usual it was a quick friendly check-in, the room was clean,and as always i felt safe. Within an hour of me going in my room i see ROACH! I thought ok maybe it one that came in from outside. Well,it wasnt. During my stay i killed probably 25 plus roaches! Something i have never encountered at this hotel. I was going to check out and go to another hotel but due to the event i was there for (Iron Bowl) I knew that i wouldn't be able to find to stay for more than 100 miles out so i stayed. The 4 of us and the roaches. LOL! I did go to the front dest before i checked out and made the lady there aware of the situation aling with 2 housekeepers that was there with her. She said she would make the manager aware of it and it would be taken care of. I sure hope that it is bc i enjoy stayimg there and would love to stay there in the near future when i go to support my Auburn Tigers! With that being said,War Eagle and hopefully they will take care of this problem before it hurts their business!!!!

there was roaches everywhere in the room. when we first walked in it smelled like rotten food and cigarettes. we had to run to walmart to purchase Lysol and clorox wipes to clean the room.

The hotel is ideally located for any and all stays associated with being in Auburn. There is a Waffle House right outside your door if you are on the interstate 85 side of the hotel which is massively convenient. There are a multitude of other restaurants within a short walk or drive that range in class and cuisines to support any traveling group or individual needs. The place is clean and not 'foofy' so you can relax, rest, or enjoy yourself at your discretion. The staff is friendly, helpful, and well informed about the status of anything and everything you may need. The wifi is sufficient for streaming if you bring your own device and I was able to work from my laptop worry free because it never lagged or disconnected me while i was there. I never heard a single noise from outside the room while indoors. The bed was comfortable and there was a desk chair and a nice sitting chair that allowed for multiple uses and comfort. I will definitely look here first for availability on my next trip to Auburn.

From an appearance perspective, the hotel was newly remodeled, and clean. Unfortunately, the previous tenant smoked marijuana in the room, and because it was a window AC unit, there was no getting rid of the smell, even after they sprayed spray. In addition, my husband killed a cockroach. Lastly, the mattress was very loud, and so was the toilet. I’ve never heard a toilet flush as loud as this one. For the price, it wasn’t worth the stay. If the price was 1/2 what it was, I could tolerate the other things for 1 night.

Sheets and towels were slightly dirty and shower water didn't get hot. Bed creaked with every movement. Water fall from the middle of the gutter kept us up while it was raining

When I checked in I was given my keycard I went to the room, used the keycard and the room was occupied. The woman at the front desk was great and asked for me to come back in an hour. I did the room was ready! I was told the manager would reach out to me the next day which never happened. The TV in the room did not work all weekend there was no remote when we got there. The staff tried to get a remote that worked but that was unsuccessful

Perfect for a night's stay on a road trip. Clean, friendly, everything worked well, including wifi. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water.

Tv would not turn on. No remote. Received new remote finally turned on but wouldn’t shut off . Unplugged it. Other than this place was clean and friendly.

Reserved a ground floor room and was given a second floor room. Bath tub had curly black hairs. New remolded hotel...has a leaking roof over bed in room 207. Water hit me in the face ans woke me up. "CONTINENTAL breakfast" advertised. 40 minutes after it began they ran out of food, because they have long term stayers. Refused to put out more food. 3 mini muffins left and stale cereal. My husband ctackes a crown on something in the raisanbran. When i spoked to the manager she refused to help me with a refund, told me they dont put out much food and if they run out they run out (with 2 1/2 hours of breakfast time left). She went so far as to condescendingly dismiss me while i was speaking because she didnt want to hear my problems.

The lady upfront was super sweet and friendly.

We have stayed here before and will again. Room is always spotless. Staff is amazing.

The room had roaches in the bed sheets, on the floor and in the microwave. The paint was chipped and the room smelled of marijuana smoke. Staff lied when we returned the keys and refused to spend one night there. They told Expedia we used the room which was an untruth. They had a hand written sign on the door saying no refunds. Even after staff informed us to have Expedia call and they would refund. The property swiped your card as soon as you check in and snatched the money immediately so beware.

Pleasantly surprised! Staff was very nice and were quick to get a burned out light bulb changed for us. Clean and neat room and it was quiet. Convenient to Auburn campus and lots of food choices too.

The front desk attendant was absent most the time. She was rude and not helpful. My room smelled of mold and they would not refund me or move me rooms. Completely unacceptable.

She was very uncomfortable and left without checking in and went to dinner, hoping they would be gone when she returned. After she returned they were still hanging out. The all stopped and watched her as see drove through again which scared her being a female alone. She left and paid for a different hotel done the road. Hotels.com was contacted, situation explained and they said they would contact Auburn Lodge to get refund. Hotels.com sent a generic email back stating that they could not issue a refund due to policy. My wife had no way of knowing in advance of her arrival that she would be faced with an unsafe situation. I contacted the general manager and she insisted that hotels.com had not contacted her about the decision. She then gave me the runaround that she couldn’t issue the refund without hotels.com initiating it. Hotels.com has failed to respond to multiple emails. The obviously don’t care. Be aware. Don’t stay at the Auburn Lodge and don’t trust Hotels.com with your travel plans!!

Nice people!

The lady checking us in was very rude and short with any question we asked her. The windows are thin and balcony would shake outside our door when someone walked by. The bed and room were clean.

Definitely not what I expected. Seems to cater to long term contractors from out of the area. A lot of them hanging around outside. Probably not comfortable feeling for woman traveling alone. And front desk was less than friendly.

It was nice close to Auburn University

This place was awesome - very convenient and right off the interstate. Was perfect for getting an Uber/Lyft downtown. The breakfast was great and they had cookies and cupcakes ready for the football game. Great job to the AU Lodge, we will definitely be staying there again!!! People were friendly, it was convenient ,breakfast was ok,beds were comfortable air was good, was older building, needs little extra cleaning

You get what you pay for and although the property is pretty bare bones no more was expected for the price. They could do a better job with breakfast/coffee at no additional cost.

Floor was swept but not clean. Toilet needed added attention. Breakfast was adequate. Price was reasonable. Convenient location.

Affordable stay. Room was clean. Breakfast was not great.

Definitely not high end, but the staff was friendly, room was clean, they offered a hot breakfast bar. Next door to the Waffle House. Looked popular with tradesmen, though I wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic getaway.

Super clean and friendly! Great coffee!

The staff was very nice and friendly. However my sheets were wrinkled like someone was just on it, and there was hair on the bed and pillow as well as in the shower. I requested new sheets, and the staff did give me new ones. The cereal at breakfast was also stale, the only thing we had at breakfast was the yogurt. The room requested was a non-smoking room, but when we opened the door, we were hit with the smell of cigarette smoke.
